Chelsea Roff, Founder and Director of Eat Breathe Thrive, has spent nearly a decade developing integrative health programs for mental health challenges, including a Yoga for Eating Disorders program, now the core of a seven-week intervention. She also leads the largest study on yoga for eating disorders and serves as UK Operations Director for The Give Back Yoga Foundation.Catherine Cook-Cottone, Ph.D., a Licensed Psychologist and Professor at SUNY Buffalo, co-edits Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention and founded the nonprofit Yogis in Service. Her research focuses on embodied self-regulation and psychosocial disorders, with over 85 publications to her name.Together, Chelsea and Catherine co-authored a study published in Frontiers in Psychiatry revealing that over 60 individuals with eating disorders have been euthanised or assisted in suicide by physicians, often without exhausting evidence-based treatments. Needless to say, Aruba became her favorite island.   There are a lot of aspects that made her fall in love with Aruba, but she says that the people are really what sold her. In July 2013, Alexandra Hoang and Kelly Trinh interviewed Catherine  Cook Connellly about her journey on creating MyYearbook. Alexandra and Kelly were Ambassadors for Girls' C.E.O. Connection and were recent high school graduates. The original video interview is still available to watch on the Girls' C.E.O. Connection YouTube channel. Follow along with Alexandra and Kelly as they learn how Catherine and her brother Dave grew myYearbook from a small startup in 2005 to a major competitor of Facebook in just six years. In November 2011 MyYearbook merged with the Quepasa Corporation and in June 2012 rebranded to MeetMe, Inc. Imagine starting a business at the age of 15 in your bedroom and growing it to be a $33.6 million. Then selling it for $100 million!!! The best part for Catherine was to sell it while continuing to be an executive with the company.

These compliments were totally unsolicited and really hit the spot! I felt an adrenaline rush for the remainder of the day as a result. I'll bet you've experienced an unexpected compliment, or two. Didn't you feel like it was Christmas morning?Unfortunately, many are reluctant to praise their fellow man. What a pity. Don't just think, Wow...my buddy is looking really fit. Tell them! They probably need to hear it and it will inspire them to keep working out. When it comes to students, teachers frequently compliment kids on their academic efforts, but how about expanding our repertoire? That's what this episode is about. Two of my original sources...Freshmen Catherine Cook and Audrey Justice will explain the power of teachers paying kids compliments.I'm going to promote a systematic, premeditated, and public way to do just that.
