EPISODE SYNOPSIS:This episode of The Brilliant Body Podcast features host Ali in an in-depth, compassionate conversation with Darshana Avila, a trauma-informed somatic educator, practitioner, and sexological bodyworker known for her appearance on Sex, Love & Goop. Together, they explore the intersections of sexuality, embodiment, grief, and healing, discussing how slowing down, attuning to one's body, and embracing vulnerability can lead to deeper connection and erotic wholeness. Darshana explains her integrative approach to sexological bodywork—helping clients safely explore pleasure, boundaries, and self-awareness—as well as the broader cultural conditioning that fuels shame, inhibition, and disconnection. Touching on topics from trauma and consent to the cultural devaluation of grief and sensuality, the conversation becomes a profound reflection on how reclaiming our embodied erotic selves is both personal healing and social activism, ultimately a journey toward fuller, freer, and more loving humanityFOR MORE ALI MEZEY:ALI - WebsiteALI - LinkTreeFOR MORE DARSHANA AVILA:BIO:Darshana Avila is a trauma-informed somatic educator, practitioner and international speaker who helps people reconnect with the most essential aspects of themselves — their truth, their desires, and their capacity for authentic connection. The fear of Chronos' time is a metaphor for being enslaved by deadlines and schedules, while Kairos is the critical moment for decisive action or significant change. It represents a fleeting window of opportunity for decisive action, a "light bulb moment" where conditions are perfect for a crucial act, such as an archer taking a perfect shot or a weaver working through a narrow gap in their loom. The concept is used in various fields to describe the importance of timeliness and seizing the right moment, such as in rhetoric, advertising, journalism, and religious contexts. Struggling with bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, or “food baby” bloat after meals has become so common it's considered “normal.” In this episode of the Nutritional Therapy and Wellness Podcast, host Jamie Belz, FNTP, MHC, sits down with Dr. Arland Hill, DC, MPH, DACBN—Director of Clinical Education at Biotics Research and a 25-year leader in functional medicine—to demystify SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). You'll learn what SIBO is, why it keeps relapsing, and how a root-cause, functional approach can calm symptoms and restore, not just gut health, but overall vitality, for the long haul. They cover the classic SIBO symptoms (bloating, abdominal pain, gas, constipation/diarrhea), how gut inflammation fuels brain inflammation (the gut–brain axis), and why quick fixes—like “nuking” the microbiome or leaning on a low-FODMAP diet—often miss the mark. Dr. Hill explains the body's three antimicrobial digestive secretions—stomach acid, pancreatic enzymes, and bile—plus motility and stress regulation, and how a phased strategy (reduce overgrowth → rebuild defenses → replete what SIBO depleted) can break the relapse cycle. They also discuss targeted probiotics (including Saccharomyces boulardii), when botanicals or antibiotics like rifaximin enter the picture, and why “just eating real, nutrient-dense food” and how you eat (meal spacing, slow, mindful chewing) can be as powerful as what you eat. Whether you've tried “everything” or you're just starting to connect the dots, this conversation gives you a practical roadmap to move beyond masking symptoms and start building foundations. What you'll learn SIBO 101: definition, symptoms, and why it's so common The gut–brain connection: how stress and inflammation impact motility & mood Why long-term low-FODMAP isn't a SIBO solution The role of acid, enzymes, and bile in controlling overgrowth Relapse prevention: phased protocols, motility support, and targeted probiotics Real-food nutrition, meal timing, and simple lifestyle upgrades that help Additional Resources: Ep 11: Digestive Hell (Learn DIGESTION from the NTA's founder, Gray Graham) Bristol Stool Chart NOTE: While we generally avoid direct affiliation/sales/commissions of products mentioned on the Nutritional Therapy and Wellness Podcast, we've decided to make these SIBO kits available for purchase. Beyond Labels: A Powerful Night of Truth & Hope About Mental Health brought together leading medical and mental health professionals to uncover how today's healthcare system profits from lifelong patients instead of healing them. Hosted by Dr. Ben, with keynote speakers Dr. Tim Hindmarsh and Dr. Roger McFillin, the event revealed the hidden incentives behind mental health diagnoses and prescriptions—and the spiritual, emotional, and practical tools for breaking free.Dr. Hindmarsh, co-host of BS Free MD, shared his inside view of how the healthcare system transformed from saving lives to monetizing chronic illness. He exposed how government programs, insurance metrics, and pharmaceutical influence have turned human suffering into a business model—and how true healing requires reclaiming personal responsibility and autonomy.Dr. McFillin, clinical psychologist and host of The Radically Genuine Podcast, offered a powerful counter-narrative to the chemical imbalance myth. He explored the spiritual and energetic roots of mental health, the dangers of over-medication, and how emotions like pain and fear are not disorders but messages guiding us toward purpose and truth.Together, they delivered an urgent wake-up call: to move beyond fear, beyond dependency, and beyond labels—toward a world where healing begins with awareness, connection, and sovereignty over one's mind, body, and soul. What if the mental health crisis isn't just a medical problem—but a spiritual one being treated with the wrong tools? In this paradigm-shifting episode, Beatty Carmichael reveals how he's helped over 1,000 people find freedom from conditions labeled as mental illness, chronic pain, and addiction—often within 24 hours—by addressing what he calls the "spiritual roots" of suffering. After God took away his supernatural healing gift that worked 90% of the time, Carmichael was forced to develop a systematic approach that anyone can learn. Watch as he demonstrates his Prayer of Freedom process live with Dr. McFillin, producing real-time results that challenge everything we think we know about healing. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or simply curious about the intersection of spirituality and health, this conversation offers a radically different perspective on why traditional approaches may be failing—and what actually works when we address the invisible forces at play.About Beatty Carmichael:Beatty Carmichael is a former business executive who comes from seven generations of medical doctors. After 25 years in marketing and helping real estate agents generate listings, his life took an unexpected turn when God gave him a gift of healing that resulted in 90% of people he prayed for experiencing instant relief from conditions ranging from chronic pain to mental illness. When God removed this gift to teach him how to systematize the process, Carmichael developed The Prayer of Freedom—a step-by-step guide that enables anyone to address the spiritual roots of their suffering. He is the founder of Get Radical Faith Ministries, reaching audiences worldwide through live events, podcasts, and video broadcasts. Carmichael regularly teaches at one of America's largest addiction recovery centers, where he's documented an 87% success rate using his methods. His unique approach bridges the gap between ancient spiritual wisdom and practical application, offering hope to those who've found limited relief through conventional treatments.Beatty Carmichael Website Visit Center for Integrated Behavioral HealthDr. Roger McFillin / Radically Genuine WebsiteYouTube @RadicallyGenuineDr. Roger McFillin (@DrMcFillin) / XSubstack | Radically Genuine | Dr. Roger McFillinInstagram @radicallygenuineContact Radically GenuineConscious Clinician CollectivePLEASE SUPPORT OUR PARTNERS15% Off Pure Spectrum CBD (Code: RadicallyGenuine)10% off Lovetuner click here
We've been taught that “the dose makes the poison.” But what if that's no longer true? In this episode of Practical Nontoxic Living™, Sophia Ruan Gushée unpacks how low doses of toxic chemicals—like PFAS, endocrine disruptors, and heavy metals—can create powerful biological effects, especially during critical stages of life. You'll hear why the Endocrine Society warns that there may be no safe dose for certain hormone-disrupting chemicals, and how these exposures can interact like a “toxic cocktail” to amplify harm. Most importantly, Sophia offers simple, practical steps to reduce your exposure at home—because if small doses can harm, small changes can heal. Plus, stay tuned for next week's episode introducing Sophia's Household Repeat Offenders™ framework—a commonsense way to simplify detoxing your home and avoid dozens of toxic exposures at once.

Your doctor just became your worst enemy. When the medical establishment brands chronic dizziness conditions like PPPD, MDDS, and vestibular migraines as "incurable," they're not just wrong, they're actively destroying lives through calculated ignorance. Dr. Yonit Arthur, a board-certified audiologist with a doctorate from Purdue University, drops a bombshell: patients experiencing 24/7 sensory collapse, paralyzing terror, and complete disorientation aren't suffering from permanent damage. They're trapped in a fear loop that doctors reinforce with every "learn to manage it" prescription. After watching the medical system fail hundreds of desperate patients who've seen 20, 30, even 40 specialists, Dr. Arthur launched The Steady Coach a popular YouTube channel with free courses to expose an uncomfortable truth. These "chronic" conditions persist because patients have been programmed to believe they're broken. During Hope's first pregnancy, she followed the conventional path—seeing an OB, agreeing to all the standard tests and procedures, and ultimately undergoing a Pitocin induction at 40 weeks. The birth was a traumatic initiation into motherhood, leaving lasting repercussions for both her and her daughter. Before becoming pregnant with her second child, Hope discovered the concept of freebirth, and it immediately resonated with her. She went on to embrace the wild pregnancy experience and freebirthed her son. This redemptive experience brought deep healing and taught her how to hold strong boundaries as a mother. Hope and I end our conversation by discussing the health differences we've noticed between our hospital-born and home-born babies. She also shares how she holistically supported her first child's recovery from a vaccine injury. In this mind-bending episode, Dr. Roger McFillin shares the therapy session that shattered his understanding of how healing actually works. Originally written on his substack he feels compelled to share the entire story (with his clients permission). What started as a routine Monday evening appointment with a client overwhelmed, ready to give up and go on psychiatric drugs became the most extraordinary 90 minutes of his career. By the end, he witnessed something that defied all explanation—and then his car did something in the parking lot that made him question reality itself. In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, FCAH, RBHT (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) speaks Xavier Roman shared his journey of discovering his healing abilities at age five, when he healed a crying mother and child by channeling a white light. He recounted his near-death experience during appendicitis surgery, where he observed the operation and brought himself back to life. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/xavier-roman Highlights from today's episode include: Xavier discovered his healing abilities as a child and continued to develop them, often helping others without revealing his gift. Xavier explains a near-death experience profoundly shaped his understanding of healing, and he now demonstrates his energy healing process to help others, as shown during the podcast. Manon reflects on the healing process, emphasizing the importance of the healer-client relationship and the integration of energetic and traditional therapies for holistic health. ABOUT XAVIER ROMAN: My name is Xavier, and I can heal people facing any physical, emotional, or mental health concerns with in-person and distance healing. My healing abilities emerged at age five and heightened when my mom was in a near-death car accident. That experience allowed me to use my healing capabilities to support her healing journey. My gift of channeling energy to heal became stronger after I experienced an NDE & Near-Death Experience; during emergency surgery in July 2010. I flat lined, witnessed my surgery, and heard the surgeon and assistants as they scattered to bring me back to life. Since then, my body and mind healing techniques have continued to strengthen and emerge. I've met with and continue to help people on a national basis. People with chronic pain, undiagnosed and diagnosed health issues, mental health issues, and more. I've also supported individuals who were told they would pass away due to various medical conditions and restored them back to stable health conditions. Although I've never announced my healing abilities at great lengths to others, I've been guided to do so now. I truly feel called to connect with those needing healing more than ever. People may think you need to be a saint or a mystical figure to perform healing. However, I have been presented with this gift and have received thousands of testimonials from my clients on transformations that have occurred through and after healing sessions with me. I welcome the billions of people on this planet to have hope and welcome the power of energy healing into their lives.
