It takes a special kind of player to come through for a team when it matters most.  For Arkansas, senior pitcher Chenise Delce fits the bill. Time and time again, the Oklahoma City native has been a star in the circle for the Razorbacks in the biggest moments, like capturing an SEC Tournament title a year ago. A Tulsa transfer, her relationship with Arkansas head coach Courtney Deifel is a big reason she's become the player she is today. Delce is plenty good. She's the reigning SEC Pitcher of the Year, and has had an impressive follow-up campaign. Eberle is a well-known east side Paso staple. If you've driven out or into town on the 46 East Highway you've likely seen their sign advertising their cave tours. Despite being so well known, one of us had never been and the other had not visited in over a decade. We broke that streak on Sunday morning and are so glad that we did! Well, wine has caught up to food and we know that one of the biggest movements in the industry right now is this concept of "vine to glass" or natural wine. Want to go and taste where you can see vines on the hill in front of you, and the hands pouring your tasting are also the hands picking the grapes? Yes? Then stopping at Vines on the Marycrest is a must-do when you visit Paso wine country. All hand crafted wines with minimal intervention and a great story to boot, we know you'll find a wine to love when you visit. Lusso Della Terra may mean "Luxury of the Land" but you certainly don't have to be rolling up in the Uber Black service to be able to afford their wines! We loved the down to earth feel of the tasting room and the co-owner, Megan, as well as the value of their hospitality experience. Their $15 tasting fee includes the typical flight of wine, cheese pairing with all of the wines, AND a tour of the facilities - if you choose to take them up on it (which you should). Top Winery is located in Tin City in Paso Robles. Tin City is home to at least a dozen wineries and tasting rooms and it's can be hard to stand out, but Top certainly does. Aside from having great wine, the hospitality, attention to detail, and warmth of the host (likely either the winemaker, Stanley, or his wife, Elena) help them shine. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Top on a Sunday morning, and appreciated that Elena postponed her trip to visit family to host us! In the Paso area or planning to visit the region soon? Come for the wine and stay for the wine... and the cheese... and the dog (Stella)... and the barn owls! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Victor Hugo Winery. We've been uncovering some of the original wine pioneers in our last few episodes and we are loving it! The history that goes along with each bottle is what makes wine so unique. Dunning Vineyards has been a west Paso staple for decades! We had never had the pleasure of visiting them but we finally made it out there a few weeks back. We think that the most important things to know about Torrin is in their "We Are" statement. It's printed on the wall in their Paso Robles tasting room and it goes: "We are artists, farmers, chemists, parents, and friends. We are grateful. We are small but on the verge of something big. We are believers in sustainability. We are in awe of our children. We are optimistic, passionate, and curious. We are laborers, visionaries, and good dinner guests. We are aware we should be doing more. We are dedicated to creating beautiful wines from the ground up. We are up for the challenges. We are Scott and Viquel Hawley and our two boys Reece and Gage. It's not super common for us to like every single wine we taste at one stop, even at places were we are members. But Villa Creek Cellars is a standout in that we liked, maybe even loved???, every single wine we tried while there. We stopped in on a hot weekend afternoon, enjoyed the sanctuary of their beautiful and cool tasting room, talked about the O.G. Iron Oaks Winery is a brand new tasting room on the outskirts of downtown Paso Robles. Easy to find, easy to access, and easy to love. This is the place to come with a party and to have a party. The tasting room vibes are industrial meets country and it's the perfect blend, just like the wines. Doug was a great time and we enjoyed getting to know him, his back story in the industry, and tasting through his four wines. It's not often you find a woman owned and mostly woman operated winery in our area. Bodegas Paso Robles was founded by winemaker Dorothy Schuler, colloquially called "Mama Tempranillo" for being one of the pioneering winemakers focusing on tempranillo and other Spanish/Portuguese varietals in the Paso area. We stopped in on a Sunday morning and thoroughly enjoyed our visit - top to bottom. Many of the wines are perfect for pairing with your summer activities and meals, and location cannot be beat. Located in the heart of Paso Robles, it's the perfect stop along your walking tour of the downtown district. We don't want you to miss this stop, but we also don't want you to drink up all that yummy albariño...... Happy Tasting! -Jamie & Chenise

We stopped into Sextant's Edna Valley tasting room on a weekday afternoon. We were a bit surprised to find it rather bustling and busy, despite it being mid-week. The tasting room is charming and well-appointed and the wines match. A fun, light-hearted stop, Sextant is the perfect place to take out-of-town visitors, friends with kids, or larger groups! Take two at Timbre! This week we're catching you up on the red wines at Timbre Winery. We also want to apologize for some of the scratchy sound quality (we think we're DJs) that crops up toward the end of the recording. Our trusty recording device ran low on battery juice during our visit and we had to switch to our backup mic, which got a little scratchy. You know that feeling when you’re so sure that you already know everything about a certain thing or area and then you realize you’ve been wrong and actually know nothing? That was the feeling we got after visiting Locatelli. I knew that I hadn’t been to ALL the wineries in this area, but I felt sure that I’d been to all the really good ones or at least heard of them.
