Welcome to the Commissioner Evaluation podcast. Today we'll talk to Chris Robin @DetroitBeastie about Chris. Then about some recent news and rumors around the NFL, some of the settings he prefers in leagues he plays in, things he would like his commissioners to do, some players he likes late in the rankings, and then as usual, we'll evaluate a team to see what he recommends to either rebuild or remodel a roster.
In episode 121, Rob and Kristie start the episode discussing this weekend's NFL playoff implications. Rob asks Kristie IF any of the teams from the NFC Least should try and win the division as it will severely hurt their draft position. After previewing the AFC and NFC playoff race we hear from Chris Robins of Detroit Beastie with his DFS fantasy advice. Then rob proposes that some good may have actually come out of 2020 sports world. Will the 2020 College Football season be the spark that starts the fire of change for college football and the College Football Invitational to be all inclusive in the future or will it cause a colossal change to the college football landscape? And as always Rob and Kristie end the episode with trivia and a would you rather. Happy New Year!! Her father loved me, oft invited me, Still questioned me the story of my life From year to year—the battles, sieges, fortunes That I have passed. —Othello (1.3.149–152) What do we know about Shakespeare's life? The answer: Not as much as we would like to. As much or as little, in other words, as we would about any middle-class Englishman of his time. This episode of Shakespeare Unlimited considers not only that question, but two others: During the past four centuries, when and how did biographers learn about Shakespeare's life? And does knowing about any writer's biography, including Shakespeare's, make any difference in responding to their work? To tackle those big, and intriguing, questions, Rebecca Sheir talks with Brian Cummings, Anniversary Professor of English at the University of York. Cummings delivered the 2014 Shakespeare's Birthday Lecture on "Shakespeare, Biography, and Anti-Biography" at the Folger Shakespeare Library; the lecture also opened the Folger Institute's NEH-funded collaborative research conference, "Shakespeare and the Problem of Biography," which Cummings co-organized. ----------------------------------- From the Shakespeare Unlimited podcast series. © Folger Shakespeare Library.
