I answer your questions and look at the argument that blacks also kill each other.Show NotesDid God show favoritism with Israel?Does the Bible have anything to say about God exercising favoritism or partiality? If so what does it say?For there is no favoritism with God. -- Romans 2:119 And masters, treat your slaves the same way, without threatening them, because you know that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him. -- Ephesians 6:934 Peter began to speak: “Now I truly understand that God doesn’t show favoritism, -- Acts 10:3417 For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe. -- Deuteronomy 10:17Partiality with man is sinIf, however, you show favoritism, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. -- James 2:921 It is not good to show partiality — yet even a courageous person may sin for a piece of bread. -- Proverbs 28:21So clearly the Bible is against partiality. It is sinful. Now we take this information and use it to reconcile what God was doing against a proper backdrop.God predestined a solution to save humanity and that solution was Himself in the form of Jesus Christ. To do this God needed people but He also had to ensure these people stayed on the proper path for the Messiah to come (Israelites).Romans 1:16 makes plain what God was doing.16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. -- Romans 1:16Jews receive priority, but it's not because of favoritism. It's simply based out of logic (1 must come before 2).God oftentimes punished Israel and even threatened to destroy them for their sin; see Deuteronomy 28, Book of Jeremiah, Daniel.God treated Israel the same way He treats everyone. Obey and be blessed, disobey and be cursed. That's not partiality or favoritism. That's righteous and fair judgement.Blacks kill each other so what's the big deal?Black people aren't the only ethnic group to kill within their ethnic group. So because people kill within their own ethnic groups that means no one should be outraged when they're targeted by others? No.The issue isn't just cops killing blacks. The issue is blacks being marginalized and discriminated against since their arrival to this country. So the issue isn't racism exists because cops are killing blacks. The issue is racism because racism exists.Black Lives MatterTheir organization statement carries is anti-biblical. However, we can get with the idea that the lives of black people Matter.Email truth@upnorthkingdom.com | Follow on Twitter | Subscribe on YouTube See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

DONATE: bit.ly/1NmpbsP ABOUT THIS LECTURE: Is it as bad as we’ve been led to believe? How has the increasing support for the Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment initiative effected campus climate and attitudes toward Israel? Is there evidence of greater hostility towards Jews and reports of instances of discrimination? Are the responses and interventions of the Jewish Community helpful? What has been the reaction of Jewish students and academics to the Hillel Israel guidelines? Should J St. U be included in the campus Jewish Community? Is the next generation inclined to continue being actively engaged on behalf of Israel? Does the expression of support for BDS and embrace of an anti-Zionist position constitute antisemitism? These and other questions will be considered by a four decade plus veteran of the campus wars. There are a growing number of Jews around the world who have gone from ardent Zionists to critics of Israel and its occupation of Palestine. In this remarkable and courageous documentary, "Jews Step Forward," 23 Jews tell their stories of transformation. Be sure to watch the entire 112  minute documentary to fully understand the difficult process these people went through to come to the conclusions they made to resist Israel's national march to national suicide. World famous Israeli conductor, Daniel Barenboim, defined the situation in Israel, perfectly, in his acceptance speech to the Israel Knesset for the Wolf Prize, one of Israel's highest honors for "achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among people ... irrespective of nationality, race, colour, religion, sex or political views." Mr. Barenboim remarked: "I am asking today with deep sorrow: Can we, despite all our achievements, ignore the intolerable gap between what the Declaration of Independence promised and what was fulfilled, the gap between the idea and the realities of Israel? Does the condition of occupation and domination over another people fit the Declaration of Independence? Is there any sense in the independence of one at the expense of the fundamental rights of the other? Can the Jewish people whose history is a record of continued suffering and relentless persecution, allow themselves to be indifferent to the rights and suffering of a neighboring people? Can the State of Israel allow itself an unrealistic dream of an ideological end to the conflict instead of pursuing a pragmatic, humanitarian one based on social justice?"

Do You Have to Stop Working When You Reach Retirement Age? By Douglas Goldstein CFP® - helping olim handle their U.S. investments from Israel Does reaching retirement age mean you have to stop working? In Israel, the official retirement age for a man is 67. For women, it fluctuates between 60 and 62, depending on date of birth. Retirees until the age of 70 (or 69 for a woman born before 1950), are eligible for a state pension, but entitlement is affected by additional sources of income. From 70 onwards, a state pension is given regardless of other income. So what is the best age to retire? Before making a decision, ask yourself the following questions: Are you physically able? As you age, your regular routine may become tiring. You may also develop health issues that make working full time difficult. So before you decide to keep on working, make sure that it’s realistic. In your retirement plan, make provisions for the possibility that future health problems may affect how long you can work. Why do you want to keep working? Do you want to keep working because you fear outliving your savings? If so, working as long as possible lets you amass more savings, and have fewer years of withdrawals. But what if you don’t have to keep working for income? If your desire to keep working is based on factors such as wanting to maintain routine or enjoying the contact with your colleagues, there are other solutions. Perhaps you could work part-time or find a hobby that will provide a social life. It’s not only about money Before making your decision, meet with your financial planner, tax advisor, and pension planner to discuss your estimated streams of retirement income. At the same time take all relevant issues into account, and make your final decision after considering both the financial and emotional factors. For more information about how to decide when to retire, read chapter 5 of The Retirement Planning Book.  Click here for a free download. In recent decades, sympathy toward Israel among Leftists in Europe and the United States has given way to hostility. Perceived in its early years as a vital experiment in socialist democracy, Israel is now typically viewed by radicals and even many progressives as a colonialist power. What explains this shift in opinion? Does it reflect larger changes in the politics of the Left or, rather, changes in Israel? Does hostility toward Israel and Zionism have ramifications beyond the Left itself? These questions framed a day-long symposium on April 19, 2012, at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. This symposium was sponsored by the Mosse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies, with additional support from the Harvey Goldberg Center.

Issue: The Arab Spring, Syria, Iran, Israel all keep people on edge. Who's to Blame? Blame: In my second Blame Panel, we discuss issues of S.W. Asia that are troubling the world today. 1. Arab Spring - Who's to Blame? Social networking, oppressive leadership, lack of food, corruption all can be blamed. We discuss Tunisia and their new "moderate" Islamist party that has gained control of the countries. Are democracy and Sharia law mutually exclusive? Also, my guest Ed says that some societies need oppression. Are you serious? Listen in as Ed pisses blamegirl off more than once. 2. Syria - We all know regime change is imminent, so why won't Bashir al-Asaad leave? This week the Arab League suspended Syria and threatened economic sanctions. Britain and France are preparing to intervene, and we discuss whether the U.S. should help. We take bets on when and how al-Assad will leave. In a body bag, or willingly. 3. Israel vs. The World Around Them - Did Israel strike Iran? Iran says no, Benjamin Netanyahu says nothing. Who's to Blame? Does Iran have a nuke? Israel allowed trucks into Gaza to reconstruct factories there. Is Israel attempting to help Palestine or just want to be caught pretending to help. What does the rest of the world think of Israel? Does everyone think Bibi is a liar, or should everyone like him? He is a conservative. Dustin brings his authority and knowledge on Israel. Listen in as Chris provides much needed comic relief in this segment. 4. Islamaphobia - Is it out of control? Should we be suspicious of young Arab men? Ed's Arab and doesn't think Islamaphobia is excessive in the U.S. Even though there are many examples of Americans being insensitive to the culture. Americans are declining serve to Muslims and have pictures of hanging Iranians in resturants. If a school district provides a religious holiday to it's Muslim students, then conservatives scream America will be taken over by Sharia law. By far the most heated segment. So listen to the entire podcast. Enjoy!
