It went a little under the radar but my goodness did Marco Rubio and company open up a major discussion with a terrorism summit he hosted in DC. Rubio identifies the dangerous leftists worldwide and brings the stats on just how lopsided it is. Then he brought up Stephen Miller to swing a sledgehammer. This is good stuff. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may be even more unpopular than the current polling demonstrates, Haaretz columnist Joshua Leifer said on this week’s edition of the Haaretz Election Podcast. “I have begun to think the polling is not telling the whole story,” he said, in a discussion on how voters who believe Netanyahu is causing irreversible damage to Israeli democracy and want him removed are currently ping-ponging between “optimism and apocalyptic thinking.” The “apocalyptic thinking,” Leifer said, involves speculation as to whether Netanyahu, anticipating defeat, somehow uses the precarious security situation to prevent free and fair elections on the scheduled date. "After everything we've experienced over the last four years, can we rule out that apocalyptic scenario? We can't rule it out, sadly," he said. Haaretz correspondent Judy Maltz, who joined Leifer and host Allison Kaplan Sommer on the weekly podcast panel, said she observed much of this disquiet with the country’s leader as she travels the country to speak with voters ahead of the October 27 election, from Arab cities to upscale suburbs to West Bank settlements where the most extreme elements of the government draw their support. In the settlement of Alon Shvut, she met people “conflicted” over whether to support Netanyahu’s far-right coalition partners led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. “On the one hand, they're very angry at Bezalel Smotrich and his party for supporting [Netanyahu’s] draft exemption bill for the ultra-Orthodox,” she said. “It really, really bothers them and angers them that the party that is supposed to represent this community voted in favor of this bill.” At the same time, “they tell you there has been nobody in history who has done more for us in preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state than Smotrich. He’s given them more than any other minister. So they don't know whether they should or shouldn’t vote for him.” Read more: Haaretz's 2026 Election Poll Tracker: The Latest Projections Analysis by Joshua Leifer: If Netanyahu Loses the Election, Will He Go Full Trump? Kim on a Whim takes on the left's latest target: homeschooling families. Mark and Kim break down a viral rant from two liberal podcasters who call homeschool parents trickle-down stupid and admit they'd rather crawl to school than spend time with their own kids — and the Department of Education claps back hard. From there it's a real conversation about why homeschooling works, why blue states have the lowest homeschool rates while places like Tennessee and Montana lead the nation, and why so many Missouri families turned to homeschooling and school choice after seeing exactly what their kids were being taught post-2020. It's faith, family, and parental rights versus a media class that thinks loving your kids too much is the problem — only on the Marc Cox Morning Show. It was a good run, but after 250 years, it is finally time to end the experiment in its current form and fashion. Most major cities in America are now low-trust societies where criminality is rampant, and decency is punished. Leftists have destroyed the economic base with woke virtue signaling, burdensome regulations, and a never-ending stream of new taxes. NGOs and Medicaid fraud are responsible for 30% of New York City's private sector jobs, mostly concentrated in healthcare, education, and social services. The Potemkin Village fake economy fuels an entire segment through NGOs receiving money from the government, then redistributes it to the people through fraud and fake charities. In this Daily Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan breaks the news that the US is officially back at war with Iran, with President Trump notifying Congress under the War Powers framework as strikes continue across the region. Bryan covers the reinstated naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, the new 20 percent transit fee the US will charge shipping companies, and Iran's retaliatory strikes against Kurdish militia bases in Iraq. He also reports on a first ever US Navy sea drone strike on an Iranian naval facility, rising tension between Saudi Arabia and Houthi rebels in Yemen, and mounting fuel shortages in Europe tied to the widening conflict. Bryan closes with his analysis on why bombing alone will not resolve the standoff with Tehran and what he hopes to hear in President Trump's upcoming address to the nation. Plus, Bryan runs through a series of domestic stories he sees as connected: political rhetoric out of Michigan, an arrest tied to international money laundering and terror financing charges, a church fire in Pittsburgh, controversy over a Minnesota pardon, and a casting debate surrounding a major Hollywood adaptation of The Odyssey. Folks, I have a question. And this one is just for the men listening. How cold... would you have to be... before you looked down and thought, "Well, I guess THIS is going into the fireplace."Seriously. What's the temperature? Negative 200? Ice Age? Penguins filing workers' comp claims? Because I can tell you right now, my survival instincts are going to lose that argument every single time.I ask because there's a story out of Indiana that reads like somebody gave ChatGPT a concussion.Police respond to a stabbing.Firefighters respond to a garage fire.At first you think, "That's a busy night."Then the investigations merge into one story, and somehow the missing family member turns out to be... well... only partially missing.According to investigators, this guy allegedly cut off his own penis... and then set it on fire. Now, I don't know who looked at that crime scene first, but imagine being the detective."So... we've got a fire.""Anything accelerate it?""Apparently poor decision-making."The reports say he admitted it.Admitted it?Sir, I don't think you needed a confession. I don't think CSI had to dust for fingerprints. There are some crimes where the evidence introduces itself. And here's what really gets me.He gets charged with... arson.Arson! That's adding insult to catastrophic injury. The prosecutor's reading the charges like it's any ordinary Tuesday."Sir, you're charged with destruction of property...""...and by the way... the State would also like to discuss the garage."Now, I have practical questions.Since when is that considered firewood?I grew up learning about kindling.Nobody ever said, "If the logs are damp..."And imagine the Boy Scouts handbook."Today we're earning the Fire Safety badge.""No, Kevin... Social media is filled with memorial and tributes just about every time a lawmaker dies. And more often than not – the pundit crowd begins their posts with a caveat: “I did not agree with Senator so and so, but…” or “We disagreed on everything and he was a sorry so-and-so, but...” If you have to qualify your tribute or memorial – it is not a tribute. It's an example of bad upbringing. Senator Lindsey Graham died suddenly over the weekend. And I noticed that a good many folks on both sides of the aisle were offering backhanded condolences. Senator Graham was a good and decent man. He took care of his family. He fought for the unborn. He stood up for religious liberty. He was a friend to our president. And he will be missed. And as Grandma Starnes used to say – if you can’t say something nice – it’s just best to hush up.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
He changes the environment so completely that the original attack almost becomes irrelevant. And that's why his opponents always look like they're one move behind. They're not one move behind. They're reading yesterday's notes.Trump never had a playbook. He's writing the next page while they're still highlighting the last one.The Soviet Union wasn't defeated because Americans invaded Moscow.East Germany didn't collapse because somebody delivered a really angry tweet.Authoritarian systems eventually begin eating themselves. They become so obsessed with controlling everyone else that they forget to maintain themselves. It's political auto-cannibalism.I've never seen political opponents spend so much money marketing somebody else's brand. It's like Coca-Cola buying Pepsi commercials.Thank you for your contribution.Foreign adversaries make another interesting mistake. They assume America is divided enough that we won't defend ourselves.History suggests otherwise.Americans argue constantly. We debate taxes. We debate spending. We debate who ruined Thanksgiving. But when somebody outside decides America should lose? That conversation changes.Very quickly. The people betting against America usually discover they've mistaken cable television for national character. Those are not the same thing. Here's the larger lesson.Strength isn't about wanting conflict.Strength is convincing the other guy that conflict would be the dumbest decision he'll make all year. That's deterrence. It's cheaper than war. It's faster than war.And it usually prevents war.As for the Democratic Party, they're facing a different problem. They're discovering that the American people have become much harder to frighten.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week on Black on Black Cinema we break down the collapse of Graham Platner's Maine Senate campaign and why none of us were surprised. For months, white leftists rallied behind Platner despite a tattoo associated with WW2 fascism, resurfaced posts disparaging veterans and sexual assault survivors on Reddit, and troubling accounts from past relationships. None of it mattered until an ex-girlfriend came forward with a serious sexual assault allegation, and only then did the Democratic Party's left wing scramble to distance themselves and Platner suspended his campaign. We ask the real question: why did it take THIS allegation to move people who already had every reason to walk away months ago? We break down how "winning at all costs" politics let a deeply flawed candidate skate through a primary while the warning signs sat in plain sight, and what this says about who gets the benefit of the doubt and for how long. Then we announce our next film: Stepfather (2026), Chris Stokes' Tubi thriller starring Taye Diggs as a man obsessed with building the "perfect family." Isn't it fun watching Democrats and other Leftists?[X] SB – Young woman gives rundown of Democratshttps://www.mediaite.com/politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-deletes-post-attacking-platner-accuser-for-doing-rape-for-politics/Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene lashed out on social media at a woman who accused Maine Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner of rape.Greene has since deleted her post.In a piece published on Monday, 41-year-old Jenny Racicot told Politico that she met Platner on a dating app in 2019 and had consensual relations with him before he forced himself on her one night in 2021 when Platner came to her house after she texted him not to. Racicot said Platner, who she said reeked of alcohol, raped her despite her repeated objections. Here's what everyone knows happened: Graham Platner had lots of baggage yesterday, including allegations from other women. One more woman got added to the pile. Yes, it was a serious allegation. But he had plenty of other disqualifying allegations before - including that tattoo, being a Communist member of DSA, spousal and girlfriend misconduct, and others. I'm going to place my bet on what actually happened. Democratic leadership got spooked - not because of any particular accusation, but because of the DSA backlash threatening to take over their own party. They knew your Senate race is a critical key to taking over Congressional control. They'd either have to spend a whole electional season defending why they're backing a Communist, or … they could take the most convenient next item in a long list of disqualifying-in-any-sane-world criteria that you'd already racked up.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The root of today's problems Phantom Nation 08JULY2026 - PODCAST
Today on The Gist, host Mike Pesca reflects on the art of the contentious debate and the ongoing siloing of the modern media landscape, looking back at his spirited 2015 interview. Then, NewsNation host and author Batya Ungar-Sargon joins the show to discuss her new book, The Jews and the Left. Ungar-Sargon maps the historical trajectory of American Jewish political alignment from early 20th-century working-class labor movements to the civil rights era, arguing that a post-structuralist "oppressor vs. oppressed" binary has completely colonized the modern academy and trickled down into mainstream neoliberal journalism.
