In continuation of our sermon series called Rethink Your Life, we explore our relationship with the word of God. We know we can trust the word of God because not only is it a reliable collection of historical documents and is written directly by eyewitnesses, if fulfills so many specific prophecies. As Christians, we can place faith in the fact that its ultimate author was God, not man. Even Jesus himself fully trusted it and quoted it back so many times. Because it is so reliable and written by God, we can have full trust in its authority to deliver to us the truth of God. Do you trust the God of the bible? Have you placed your faith in Jesus and asked Him to be your savior? If you've got questions or want someone to pray with, we'd love to connect with you. Reach out today! As always, you can let us know about the next step you want to take in your faith journey by visiting burnthickoyr.com/next.

A new MP3 sermon from The Narrated Puritan is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: The Birth of Jesus - Message to the Shepherds Subtitle: The Narrated Puritan - T M S Speaker: John Calvin Broadcaster: The Narrated Puritan Event: Audio Book Date: 12/21/2021 Bible: Luke 2:1-20 Length: 17 min.
FEAR NOT- The design of this exhortation is to alleviate their -the shepherd's- fear. For, though it is profitable for the minds of men to be struck with awe, that they may learn to -give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name,- -Psalm 29-2-- yet they have need, at the same time, of consolation, that they may not be altogether overwhelmed. For the majesty of God could not but swallow up the whole world, if there were not some mildness to mitigate the terror which it brings. And so the reprobate fall down lifeless at the sight of God, because he appears to them in no other character than that of a judge. But to revive the minds of the shepherds, the angel declares that he was sent to them for a different purpose, to announce to them the mercy of God. When men hear this single word, that God is reconciled to them, it not only raises up those who are fallen down, but restores those who were ruined, and recalls them from death to life.-

John seems particularly concerned as he ends his prologue and is about to launch into narrative that we understand that the core of the Jesus Message is grace. Everything is about Jesus - everything has been building toward and pointing to Him since before time - and Jesus is about grace. Real, firm, dependable, you can count on it grace.
Most people have unfortunately heard more ‘about’ the book of Revelation, than they have heard from God from the book itself! Jesus message to the 7 churches in Revelation 2-3 was written to encourage us today, it applies to us today, and it strengthens our faith in the tribulation that we are facing today!

When it comes to the church, we all have been 'duped' in some way due to how the messages had been delivered. Is this our fault? No, however, we have to take our foundational faith and bring it into the spiritual future. Official Website
Scripture: Mark 1:9-15 This passage sounds like a Tarzan movie… Jesus lived with the wild animals… 40 days and nights… 1) The Angels took care of Jesus… Angels are with us also! 2) In The wilderness Jesus discovers his identity… who He is! 3) Jesus Message after his emergence from the Dessert, “The Kingdom of God is NOW!” Repent… and BELIEVE THE GOODS NEWS!
Hear what the Lord has to said to the Churches.
