Join Jeremy Jeremiah and Cloud of Witnesses Radio to welcome Professor Robert Fortuin to discuss the transformation of a humble midwife from a forgotten Alaskan village into America's newest recognized Orthodox saint! This event represents a profound spiritual moment that defies all conventional expectations. Matushka Olga of Alaska emerges as both the first woman and first Yupik person glorified as a saint in America, her story a powerful testament to how extraordinary holiness can manifest in seemingly ordinary lives.• Glorification services will be held in Kwethluk (Alaska), Anchorage, and Phoenix to make this historic event accessible to more people • Matushka Olga was known for her boundless hospitality while her priest husband traveled to remote villages • She served as a midwife and spiritual support for her community, never turning away anyone with problems • After her repose, many healings were attributed to her, leading people to make difficult pilgrimages to remote Kwethluk From her remote home in Kwethluk—a village so isolated that visitors must fly to Bethel and then travel upriver by boat to reach it—Matushka Olga became the spiritual anchor for her community of just 200 people. While her priest husband traveled for weeks through dangerous terrain to minister to other villages, she remained behind, arms perpetually open to anyone in need. As the local midwife without modern medical facilities, she delivered babies in villagers' homes. But her ministry extended far beyond physical care—she became known for her boundless emotional and spiritual hospitality, never turning away anyone with troubles. What makes her glorification particularly significant is how it challenges our notions of sainthood. Rather than emerging from ecclesiastical prominence or dramatic martyrdom, her sanctity blossomed through consistent, humble acts of love in a place many would consider desolate. After her earthly repose, numerous healings were attributed to her intercession, leading pilgrims to undertake difficult journeys to her remote village. As one icon of her beautifully states, "God can create great beauty from complete desolation." The glorification ceremonies—scheduled across Kwethluk, Anchorage, and Phoenix—serve a dual purpose: honoring this remarkable woman while also drawing crucial attention to the ongoing needs of Orthodox Christians in remote Alaskan communities. Matushka Olga's story reminds us that divine grace works powerfully through those society might overlook, proving that no place is too remote and no person too humble to become a vessel of transformative love. Reflecting on his own experience as a father, Jeff shares a humorous yet poignant story about being called out by his daughter for his "addiction to productivity," sparking a deeper exploration of contentment. Drawing from Paul's letter to Timothy, Jeff addresses the dangers of discontentment—how it distorts the past, ruins the present, and robs the future. He challenges listeners to pursue godliness with contentment, offering practical steps like giving thanks and tithing to break cycles of unrest. With passion and relatability, Jeff encourages everyone to guard their faith, embrace gratitude, and live content in the life God has called them to.Watch all our sermons on our YouTube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

What does it really mean to believe in Jesus—not just in your mind, but with your life? In this powerful message, Pastor James Wilson explores the depth of true belief in Jesus Christ, challenging us to move beyond intellectual agreement to a life of full trust and surrender. Drawing from John 4:39–42 and John 3:16, Pastor Wilson reminds us that real faith is rooted in personal encounter and testimony, not just what we've heard about Jesus. He further unpacks this truth through passages like Joshua 24:15, 1 Peter 1:15–16, Philippians 4:19, and Ephesians 1:13, calling believers to live set apart lives, grounded in holiness and bold trust in God's promises. Whether you're standing against the pressures of culture or seeking assurance in your walk, this message will stir your heart to trust the One who transforms and sustains more deeply. Faith is more than knowing about Jesus—it's choosing Him daily, living holy, and trusting Him fully even when it's uncomfortable. #181// You don't have to worry about how you're going to pay for the vision and assignment that God has given you!Listen, Sister . . . God actually cares about resourcing you for the assignment He's given you more than you do. True story! All you need to do is concern yourself with the receipt, belief, and obedience to the call. The main reason given by most of the women I coach for why they didn't "go for it" in business or ministry sooner is this: They had a paralyzing fear around money and provision. Most felt they couldn't get into motion until they had a firm grasp on how it was all going to get funded and resourced. But did you know that's not how it works in the Kingdom? So much of Kingdom living is trusting God at His word, stepping out on that word and then seeing Him provide as we move in obedience. Is your mindset around money holding you back from starting that business or ministry God has been calling you into? If so, it's okay to decide that now is the time to lean in and believe God at His word FIRST and get your mindset straight, and then ask questions about the how (including how to resource the vision). That's why on this week's episode, I'm sharing the money mindset you need to have in order to BOLDLY begin that "thing" God has been talking to you about. If you're a Jesus girl who's got it in her heart to make BIG moves with the Lord, but you've been stuck in fear around your resources and provision, this episode is for you, Sister. You need to know in the depths of you that God will provide every single resource you need to fulfill the calling on your life... just move your feet in faith! If you need a little help shifting that money mindset to the abundant mind of Christ... Grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Are you enjoying the simplicity of Christianity and of a Christian lifestyle? More times than not, we are tempted to overcomplicate this Jesus thing because we desire to be in control and in charge of our own lives. That's not the way the Lord intended for us to function, however. Perhaps there is freedom found in surrendering our own will and ways to the Lord so that we can live simply and joyfully. EVERYDAY DISCIPLES S1:E1Everyday Disciples, where we prioritize Following the way of Jesus in everything, everywhere, every day.And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” - Mark 1:17 SHOW NOTESWelcome to the Everyday Disciples podcast, where we discuss what it means to follow Jesus in everything, everywhere, every day. At Crossroads, one of our values is being everyday disciples. Being Everyday Disciples means our relationship with God is intended to shape every part of our lives. There is no separation between the mundane and the spiritual. Our life with God isn't confined to a moment on Sunday morning; it is to be lived every moment and in every setting. [If you'd like to dive into this concept further, these passages are a good starting point: Matthew 5:13-16; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:13; Psalm 145:2; Luke 9:23; Daniel 12:3 Philippians 2:14-16] In this first season, we will explore 8 habits and practices that help us to better follow in the way of Jesus. Along the way, we will take questions from you - our listeners - about the things you are thinking through, facing, or wrestling with and bring those into our conversations. In this first episode, we are asking: Who are you following? What does it mean to follow Jesus? and where do we start?Over the next month, we encourage you to practice intentionally orienting your days to pay attention to God's presence. We will engage in three practices together. These are tools not rules. The aim of these practices is to intentionally aim our days toward Jesus. Perfect action is not the aim, drawing closer to Jesus is. PRACTICES FOR THE MONTH:1. TAKE AN AUDIT OF WHO YOU ARE FOLLOWINGWho are the voices, the authors, the thinkers, the people you are giving weight to in your life? Are they drawing you closer to God or pulling you away?2. BEGIN YOUR DAY WITH SCRIPTUREScripture before your phone, news, or anything else. Let the first voice of your day be the word of God.3. END YOUR DAY WITH REFLECTIONTake a few minutes (even as you are falling asleep) to simply ask these three questions:- God, where did I see you move today?- God, what do you want me to pay attention to (good/bad) from my day?- God, what do I need to release to you right now?(Feel free to make the language your own. Again, the aim is to end your day with God) RESOURCES:The Bible - If you need a place to start go to one of the biographies of Jesus written by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.Crossroadslive.com/jesusSaturate by Jeff VandersteltLife with Jesus by Tim ChesterPracticing the Way by John Mark Comer

#177// We've been lied to about what accountability is.WARNING: I *may* be on a bit of a rant in this week's episode as I "discuss" what I think has happened to real accountability over the last few decades. With the rise of productivity coaching, hands-on "mentorships" and "results Christianity," alongside declining acknowledgement for basic, personal responsibility in pretty much all areas of life (even in the Church, my friend!), accountability has taken on quite the co-dependent flavoring. It's had me a little "triggered" as of late.As a self-described "breakthrough coach," and someone who absolutely LIVES to help others run their own race to breakthrough in their assigned lane to the glory of God, to think we've been sold this fake accountability as a way to "help" us get to the finish line is maddening to me. I believe this twisted definition of accountability offers us the spirit of victimhood and an "I can't if you don't make me" (wipes away tear) attitude that is absolutely getting folks stuck and keeping them out of their "promised land."On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast I'm ranting. But then I'm teaching. And THEN I'm inviting you into real accountability. So if you get a little twitchy, too, when you sense a rise of codependency in the room, or if you're wondering if, just maybe, you've fallen for this false sense of support yourself . . . #176// There's nothing wrong with taking a break, Sis. Just make sure you're taking it on your own terms, and not because the enemy convinced you to "take the L" and "deal with it later."As this year comes to a close, I've heard one too many Christian "influencers" on social media talking about how it's *okay* to "go easy on yourself" if you didn't "make it happen" this year, and not to worry too much about setting vision, targets or plans for the year that lies ahead. #TeamBeGentle But can I tell you something? The enemy is not planning on being gentle with you in this upcoming season. Not even a little bit. If you have a purpose and an assignment on your life that brings the Kingdom into this earth, his whole aim is to be the OPPOSITE of gentle with you at all times. Sister, you're in the middle of a war and no wise warrior goes in without a war plan. You hearing me??Now listen . . . I'm not telling you to be hypervigilant or a striving maniac, okay? I'm not telling you to be legalistic or anxious about every single thing that comes before you. But what I AM telling you is:You need a plan for how you're going to steward your time, talents and effort in this next season and it's best for that plan to be one that can produce peaceful productivity in your life without the overwhelm or risk of burnout. To the glory of God. Amen! That kind of planning requires you to know what "ingredient" you need to keep the burnout OUT of your lane, Sis. You need to add the antidote for overwhelm to the *success soup* you're cooking up for the coming year. Do you know what that is?On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast I'm sharing just that: the only real antidote for overwhelm. Want to know what it is? I did a live sessionthe other day with my Facebook community where I shared this real antidote, but not before putting the enemy on blast for the four counterfeit "antidotes" he tries to sell us every single day. If you're ready to overcome the overwhelm for good as you put together a peaceful productivity plan for the coming year (that's going to really work this time!), you're going to want to hit play on this episode right here. #175// "When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen." - Isaiah 60:22But, Sis, did you know there's something you and I do that has the effect of negatively impacting how we experiencing His timing? Let me tell you what it is . . . DOUBT! We doubt ourselves, we doubt our capacity, our support and resourcing, and we even doubt the the absolute truth that God will perform His word. We allow what we see with our natural eyes, hear with our natural ears and what we understand from our own thinking and figuring to cause us to doubt what God has said He will do. And when we allow this doubt to creep in and run the show, it has an impact on how we do "our part" in any situation. In effect, we contribute to the delay. We "fail to make it happen."And can I tell you something else?Doubt can thrive anywhere you don't trust God at his Word! It's not just that doubt can exist in those places. Yeah, girl, it can exist there. But let me tell you from experience, doubt gets to THRIVE in places where we don't believe God at his Word. Like, living it's BEST life!On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast I'm sharing a live session I did with my Facebook community recently where I walked them through how to doubt-proof your life so you can stop failing to see the Lord "make it happen" in the here and now. If you're ready to walk into a year of seeing God perform His word "on time" and "in full" -- if you're ready to experience a year of fulfillment as you walk fully in the purpose and assignment He created you for -- you're going to want to hit play on this episode right here. #174// A Plan is simply a healthy boundary around your time, your talents and your effort. Having a plan is like having a roadmap for how to navigate to your breakthrough.I'm coming in with a hard but GOOD word for you today . . . YES, You DO need a plan (Luke 14:28). YES, You CAN plan (Philippians 4:13). And YES, You can even learn CONTENTMENT and find JOY in the midst of the process of planning (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).Maybe you've had an experience of planning letting you down in the past. Maybe you don't feel like you're good at it. Maybe you've believed the lie that, since the outcome belongs to the Lord, it's a waste of time to plan for your breakthrough and eventual victory in Christ Jesus. Can I tell you something? The devil is a liar and he's trying to do whatever he can to get you off the plan for your life, Sis!You need a God-given strategy for how to steward your time, talents and efforts as it pertains to the work God has given you to do in this life. And the longer you live in the chaos of what you think is "waiting on God" (when what's really happening is just a mixture of apathy and bad theology), the farther down the disappointment pit you will fall. But Jesus came that you might have abundant life, to the FULL. Are you ready for that?On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast we're talking about why you definitely need a plan, how to get to the place where you know you can craft and execute a plan, and how to even enjoy the journey of planning so you can step into your most fruitful year with the Lord EVER, all without the overwhelm. #173// "Kinda Crunchy" is a lifestyle born out of collective burnout, Sister.Negotiating the Standard of God is never a good idea. Not even when we find ourselves overwhelmed and thinking, "There must be an easier way to do this!" In fact, that's the worst place to start to have a compromise in your spirit. We need to know how to identify the voice of the enemy when he comes with the questions that lead us into letting down our godly standards. This includes the standard we hold as we steward the health -- spirit, soul and body -- God has given to us.I won't argue you on the fact that the health and wellness space has been absolutely overrun by a spirit of perfectionism in the last generation or two. By the beginning of 2020, we were experiencing a worldly standard being set around how to steward health that had nothing to do with trusting or glorifying God, and everything to do with "keeping up with the Joneses" (or whichever influencer you followed and most related to over on social media). And I'm talking about faith-based health and wellness educators and influencers, too!Stewarding health became an exhausting and overwhelming feat. And as a collective, it seems many of us decided to quietly compromise on the standard of how to care for the gift of health God had given us as we took to writing some "simpler" standards of our own:"You don't have to be that strict about clean eating. It's all too much. Just do the best you can.""It's so expensive to eat unprocessed, whole foods. Just do the best you can.""And isn't it so overwhelming to try to figure this all out at the same time? Balance, Sister. Just do the best you can."And with that, "Do the Best You Can" became the new standard. "Kinda Crunchy." Even in Christian circles. In fact, I heard it the MOST from Christian influencers. Somehow we had become convinced that "being too hard on ourselves" was worse than the difficulty of upholding a Biblical standard. Not that the standard we were holding previously was Biblical, mind you. But instead of determining to find the real Biblical Standard and making that our guide and our goal, we just decided to "Do the Best You Can." Honestly, I believe we took an unauthorized break. To me, that's what "Kinda Crunchy" has come to mean.On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast we're chatting about the five main reasons I see for why we began to settle for this "kinda crunchy" and "just do the best you can" standard when it comes to stewarding our health, and then I'm sharing a simple Reset Roadmap you can follow to Biblically steward your health and wellness without overwhelm and burnout. #172// This is a topic that has the potential to redraw relational lines in an instant.Have you ever lost an "IRL" friend as a result of posting something "provocative" on social media that referenced religion or politics? If you lived through 2020 and had any views that tracked with medical freedom or disagreeing with "the government," and posted about them, I bet you did. My husband and I lost a few, I can tell you that. But does the risk of agitating certain relationships justify staying silent on certain matters God has told you to make a sound about? Here's the thing . . .What you make a sound about -- even the sound you make on social media -- should really be driven by only one thing: Has God given you the grace and the permission to say that thing to the people He's called you to serve? On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast we're dismantling the lie that says you should *never* post about religion or politics in your business or ministry feeds. We're getting down to what the Bible actually has to say about what we should speak up about and what we shouldn't.
