As we promised, every so often we'll drop a bonus episode into the free feed for you to have a listen to. Over on our Patreon, we've been cleaning out all of the leftover listener blocks we never got to on the main episodes of our show. It's been a ton of fun and a blast from the past as we remember some real ghouls and main characters of the day from 5 years ago. And back in November, our good pal Kevin Banner joined us to run a bunch down with ya. We've since done 4 more of these, and the inbox still isn't empty! You can join the Patreon at patreon.com/blockedparty for 3 brand-new bonus episodes every month. You'll also get immediate access to the entire BP bonus catalogue, and our Discord, and merch discounts, and lots of other fun stuff. Join today! Learn more about your ad choices. Folks, Kevin Banner joins us on this week's ep where we hear about jewel thief who got stuck in a vault, why you can now microwave cup noodles, Barbra Streisand changing Siri's pronunciation of her name, a man who gave out rotisserie chicken's on halloween, and people getting blinded by UV lights ate a crypto Apefest Follow Kevin @BannerComedy and check out his new special 'Heavy Favorite' here: https://youtu.be/HWn1NXfaUA8 Become a patron for weekly bonus eps and more stuff!: www.patreon.com/whatatimepod Check out our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/whatatimetobealive Get one of our t-shirts, or other merch, using this link! https://whatatimepod.bigcartel.com/ whatatimepod.com Join our Discord chat here: discord.gg/jx7rB7J @pattymo // @kathbarbadoro // @eliyudin // @whatatimepod © 2023 What A Time LLC
Comedian Kevin Banner returns to talk lasagne weather, the return of hockey, and wedding clothes.
Stand up comedy isn't easy. It's a long slog though places most of us have never heard of and the best you can hope for is enough to go to the next club tomorrow. Kevin Banner has lived that life and managed to succeed and thrive due to his resilience and determination. A chat with a comic who just released his second special, this is a fun chat and hopefully you get a look at what goes into the work of making people laugh! Check him out here. YKS 3:16 says I just downloaded your ass! I forgot to say that in the episode so putting it here will poopsimply have to do. On today's show, we're joining Club Cool with Jukebox Ron and sending a tribute to J. Lo. Plus we got a coffee product that somehow is not intended for everyone on Earth to drink, a probably-illegal brain scam, some guys who would fall for a brain scam, a Christian TV show so bad I don't think even Christians would watch it, and more. It is at this point that I catch a couple of seltzer cans out of the air, crack them open, pour them all over my head, and kick Producer Dan right in the belly. I have won the title, and am the Big Champion of Whatever. A crazed fan slides into the studio and attempts to remove my jean shorts before being tackled by DB in a clown suit. It's just another day taping YKS. Music for YKS is courtesy of Howell Dawdy, Craig Dickman, Mr. Baloney, and Mark Brendle. Additional research by Zeke Golvin. YKS is edited by Producer Dan. YKS Premium! That's basically where we live. Come and say hello to us, and give us a small treat. In return we may perform one of our famous tricks (having a great guest like Kevin Banner on, or sitting there going “uhhh” until one of us remembers a joke we heard in 1st grade). $5 a month for all that, and we won't even charge you tax (actually I do think it charges you tax). This episode of YKS is brought to you by these fine brands:HelloFresh - In the old days, having some guy come by and toss a big thing of spaghetti carbonara on your front porch would mean you pissed off the wrong neighbors. Kevin Banner (comedian) returns to the show and he's discovered something about himself in the last year: he loves blocking people. Previously a self-described "mute man", Kevin figures he no longer cares if someone gets mild satisfaction from a block, and he wrote down every single person (or type of person) he's blocked over the last year to tell us all at once. It's a wild list, and one of the most memorable collection of Block Tales in the show's history. The rest of the show is also very memorable as Stefan tries his hand at the intro and Dan finally takes a poop in John's apartment. And we talk about stuff too, like rage comics, Jim Breuer, Twitter now being called "X", Elon's desire (and failing) to be a funny guy, and we go deep on Brian Bosworth puns. Plus, a new "Social Media Update" theme song from Dr. Jeb kicks off discussion of noproblemgambler's amazing TikTok, the insane PragerU clip that made the rounds this week, and our good friend Murder Bryan has an excellent dunk on Elon. If you want more amazing dunks, head on over to patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every dang month. Last week, Rachel Schaefer returned to discuss the season premiere of "...And Just Like That" with us, and this week, Girl God make their triumphant return to the program for another chaotic discussion, this time about iconic Canadian children's game show "Uh Oh!". It's a good one, and you won't wanna miss it. Speaking of not missing things, check out Kevin Banner's amazing new special, "Heavy Favourite" on YouTube. Hate looking at stuff? You can also find it as an audio album wherever you get your music. You can follow Kevin on Twitter and TikTok at @BannerComedy and on Instagram at @kevinbanner. Learn more about your ad choices. Dave and Tyler get into the weeds about Britney's run-in with the NBA's newest superstar. Kevin Banner joins the show as he's performing at Rumors this weekend. Lisa Baker and Yumi Nagashima generate collective laughter when they debate if everyone is unique. Then, is the tree planter a more fitting symbol for B.C. than the lumberjack? Katie-Ellen Humphries and Kevin Banner have an axe to grind.

It's that time of year again as Travis joins 604 Records comedian Kevin Banner for The First Annual Christmas in July episode of YMT! We go over Die Hard and A Christmas Story and the controversies that are attached to them. We make a startling discovery about a "beloved" seasonal song that is also sure to rock the internet to its very foundations. Follow us on Twitter at @networkPwom
We had our first live podcast with Kevin Banner. We had a fantastic time talking about dry suits, saving an ungrateful co-workers life, and Kevin's worst comedy gigs.
Sweeps Month comes to an end with another huge guest, as Beth Stelling (comedian) joins us to break things off with her ex-stepdad quite a few years after her mom did, as she blocks him live on the show after one of the craziest Block Tales ever. It’s well-known old people cannot tell time, but he provides a crazy example, finally getting upset with a joke Beth told about him about seven years after she released it. The BBBs (Blocked Boys n’ Beth) don’t stop their targets there, as they aim their sights at dentists, veterinarians, veterinarian dentists, Michael Bloomberg, Love is Blind, and Stefan’s newest absolutely absurd take involving breakfast cereals that has to be heard to be believed. One thing you don’t need to hear to believe is that donating $5 a month to our Patreon at https://patreon.com/blockedparty will get you access to three phenomenal bonus episodes every month. February was our Sweeps Month and we pulled out all the stops, bringing in Chris Locke for an all-Cameo bonus episode, Jesse Farrar for Trivia Party 2, and we finally released the long-awaited Pop THIS Out! video episode, where John, Stefan, and Kevin Banner open all 37 of the terrible Funko Pops John received over the last two months. It’s insane! You gotta get over here!
It's a podcasting crossover for the ages as we near the end of BP Sweeps Month, with the Doughboys themselves, Nick Wiger and Mike Mitchell, joining the Blocked Boys in the studio. We discuss how being friends with Jack Allison is definitely very good but also led us all to be blocked by the famous Hoarse Whisperer, one of the worst Twitter accounts known to man (or horse). The Blocked (and Dough) Boys start the episode by talking about arcade games and Pokémon, and move into a bunch of our favorite subjects, like Funko Pops, auto-texts from candidates, Julian Castro, the heinous TV show Suits, and we are forced to apologize yet again for our actions through our apology medium of choice, Joey from Joey's World Tour. One thing we will NOT apologize for is all the amazing bonus content we have available over at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5 a month gets you access to our entire back catalogue, gets you access to the healthiest, happiest, and most fun Discord on the internet, AND gets you access to all of our special BP Sweeps Month bonuses. Those include an all-Cameo bonus episode with Chris Locke, a new episode of Trivia Party with Jesse Farrar, and this week, the #FunkoPopChallenge will finally meet its end, as John, Stefan, and Kevin Banner review all 37 Funko Pops John received in a very special video episode. It's all there for you to discover! Right now! Do it!
BP Sweeps Month continues with one of our most requested guests of all-time, Charlie Demers (author, comedian). Charlie has one of the more involved Block Tales ever, as he has an existential crisis over a tweet going viral, and decides to quit the platform entirely. The episode once again balances the serious with the hilarious, as we wonder what the point of social media is in 2020, while also appreciating its finer points, like a man getting his penis stuck in between train doors, the firing of Tanner Zipchen, and Instagram algorithms not understanding anything about us. And Charlie kicks off the episode with a bang, immediately coming after Stefan for his prosciutto/melon take, before ultimately getting sucked into Stefan’s gamesmanship and partnering up with him against John as the fruit takes get more and more insane. If you want to partner up with Stefan, you can do so at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to an insane amount of bonus content. You get 3 bonus episodes every month, you get access to our Discord, which has been called one of the best places on the internet, and once you donate $50 lifetime, you get a free shirt! It’s wild! And we’re pulling out all the stops for Sweeps Month, as we have an all-Cameo episode up now with Chris Locke that has one of our funniest riffs of all-time, we have Trivia Party 2 coming out this week with YKS’ Jesse Farrar, and Kevin Banner will be joining us at the end of February for a video episode featuring the #FunkoPopChallenge, where John opens all 37 (!) Funkos he received over the last month. THE TIME IS NOW!
Today's guest is Canadian comedian Kevin Banner. He was a finalist in 2016's SiriusXM's Top Comic competition and was the first comedian signed to Nickelback's record label, 604 Records. He's funny and a huge wrestling fan. We hear of his origin story. We discuss our three favourite moments. We talk about WWE, AEW & NXT. Like our host, Kevin has also toured with wrestlers such as Jake the Snake Roberts and Mick Foley. Also talked about are our top 3 wrestling moments that we've experienced. All of this and so much more. So spend a bit of time with us here on Talk'N Wrestling, where wrestling and comedy collide!!Kevin's WebsiteKevin Banner's Top Comic Video
Kevin Banner (comedian) returns, this time on a regular episode, to tell us about the time he pissed off the lead singer of KISS and the Prime Minister of Canada in one fell swoop. Kevin and John get an up-close look at Stefan’s new weed pen as they discuss how close John is getting to that $5k Patreon goal of smoking weed for the first time and the Blocked Boys get all the details about Kevin’s divorce announcement. Elsewhere, we discuss jacking off at work, Gene Simmons’ sex tape, and this week it’s John’s turn to play an absolutely cringeworthy video. You want something you won’t cringe about? Donate $5/month to Blocked Party at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, and you’ll get TWO bonus episodes a month, which this month includes our second mailbag installment with Kyle Bottom, and a future Hell Block coming up next week. This week, we also introduced our new NEWSLETTER. Every week or so, John or Stefan will write a newsletter and post it up for your reading pleasure. It’s $4/month for just the newsletter, or $8/month for the newsletter and bonus episodes. It’s educational, it’s personal, and it’s just a damn good time. Vote for Kevin Banner to be Sirius XM's Top Comic at https://topcomic.siriusxm.ca/comic/kevin-banner!
