YKS 3:16 says I just downloaded your ass! I forgot to say that in the episode so putting it here will poopsimply have to do. On today's show, we're joining Club Cool with Jukebox Ron and sending a tribute to J. Lo. Plus we got a coffee product that somehow is not intended for everyone on Earth to drink, a probably-illegal brain scam, some guys who would fall for a brain scam, a Christian TV show so bad I don't think even Christians would watch it, and more. It is at this point that I catch a couple of seltzer cans out of the air, crack them open, pour them all over my head, and kick Producer Dan right in the belly. I have won the title, and am the Big Champion of Whatever. A crazed fan slides into the studio and attempts to remove my jean shorts before being tackled by DB in a clown suit. It's just another day taping YKS. Music for YKS is courtesy of Howell Dawdy, Craig Dickman, Mr. Baloney, and Mark Brendle. Additional research by Zeke Golvin. YKS is edited by Producer Dan. YKS Premium! That's basically where we live. Come and say hello to us, and give us a small treat. In return we may perform one of our famous tricks (having a great guest like Kevin Banner on, or sitting there going “uhhh” until one of us remembers a joke we heard in 1st grade). $5 a month for all that, and we won't even charge you tax (actually I do think it charges you tax). This episode of YKS is brought to you by these fine brands:HelloFresh - In the old days, having some guy come by and toss a big thing of spaghetti carbonara on your front porch would mean you pissed off the wrong neighbors. Grab your expedition gear, a Zamboni, and a glass of ice, and get ready to pour till the fizz hits the floor. This merch stop with an identity crisis has always been bubbling with weirdness, but will our hosts be saying "ahhhhhhhh" after that first smooth sip of international Coke classics or will they spit that strange syrupy soda swill on the linoleum after a nightmare nip of a sinful soft drink? Walt Disney once said EPCOT “would always be in a state of becoming” as a place that changes with the times. The Walt Disney World Resort theme park is delivering on that promise in a whole new way as it continues the biggest transformation in its history, bringing the next generation of immersive storytelling to life through a plethora of new attractions and experiences. EPCOT is now unified with four neighborhoods, each speaking to important aspects of the world and its people: World Showcase, World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery. These neighborhoods are filled with new experiences rooted in authenticity and innovation that take guests to new destinations, where the real is made fantastic in a celebration of curiosity, discovery and the magic of possibility. World Celebration: Epcot Entrance Plaza, Beacon of Magic, Connections Cafe and Eatery, Creations Shop, Club Cool, Dreamers point World Discovery: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, MIssion Space, Space 220 Restaurant World Nature: The Land, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, The Seas with Nemo and Friends https://youtu.be/RYIDvB4K8g0

Kevin is without Pete this week but longtime friend of the show Zack Adams stops by the studio for a Special Edition Disney Chat. Kev and Zack discuss Zack's recent move to Orlando along with a lot of Disney's newer ventures. Discussion topics include: Rise of The Resistance, The Skyliner, Parking Trams, Runaway Railway, Creations Shop, Club Cool, and more! On this weeks episode of The Theme Park Podcast, Scott talks about his journey into the new edition of Club Cool at Epcot, then the guys discuss the crowds at all of the parks with the holiday season almost here. In the news meet and greets are back at Disney! Well they are a little bit different than the ones in the past.
Club Cool's own Barrett Dudley fills in for Dillon who is still on Cabeza Watch. We talk about the (former) King of Spain getting injected with estrogen to become less H, a guy who ate every meal at Six Flags for 6 years, World Series banter (including Bryan Cranston's scorched earth Instagram post), and the Tiger King 2 trailer. Oh, and we also did This Weekend in Fun. Located in the new World Celebration area of Walt Disney World's Epcot, The Creations shop is all about celebration, creativity, and innovation. The large-format art features and murals all represent Mickey, the creation. Brianna Pfost, Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, gave us the details. https://youtu.be/kNQXfGHPSvY

With one week to go prior to Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary, we talk about what's new as the resort prepares ahead. We begin at Epcot with a look at the new Club Cool and Celebrations Shop. The Space 220 Restaurant has also opened. Should you go see it? We see statues at all four parks, and in the case of Disney's Hollywood Studios, it may suggest the future of Voyage of the Little Mermaid. All this happens as Rise of the Resistance moves from a virtual queue to a standby queue in advance of Genie+. Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom Primeval Whirl faces its own extinction while Finding Nemo the Musical is delayed for a remodeling. Finally, good news as "Let the Magic Begin" park opening ceremony at Cinderella Castle returns on October 1st, along with a new float to the Electrical Water Pageant. Photos and videos at our Disney at Play website as well. Check it out!

Barrett and Phil are back together in the studio to talk about some of the biggest trends for the upcoming fall season. To start it off, there's a new sheriff in town, and its name is BPC. That's right, it's the Big Phunky Cardigan. Has the Big Plaid Coat been officially knocked off its mantle or is this town big enough for the both of them? Next up, we take a dive in to footwear. A lot as stayed the same tbh: Birk Bostons and all types of mules and clogs are still super hot. You already know the list of sneakers (Dunks, Js, AF1s, Chucks, Vans, & NBs), but what's happening with boots this season? And has anything fallen off? Find out when you listen. Finally, we put a bow on it with a little pants talk, which always seems to be a difficult piece of the wardrobe to nail, especially when there's more choice than ever. Join the Club, Support the Pod: www.patreon.com/clubcool On today's episode, Barrett and Phil breakdown the big news of the week involving a large scale sneaker reseller whose mom happened to be a high-ranking VP at... Nike. This, in turn, leads to a wide-ranging discussion about the legitimacy of "collectibles" as a real asset class. The dudes discuss digital highlights like Top Shot, the return of sports cards, and if these fads will go the way of Beanie Babies or be lucrative additions to one's portfolio. Next up, the Nike talk continues, as it would appear that there is a believable conspiracy theory floating around about what the sportswear giant may have done to the US batch of "Fossil" Overbreaks, a sneaker that bears a striking resemblance to the ultra-coveted Tom Sachs Mars Yard. Are the "College Greys" ACTUALLY just "Fossils" that got spray painted?? Who knew what and when??? Club Cool investigates. Finally, the boys check in on the hotline and play a few calls. www.instagram.com/clubcoolpod Link to the Bloomberg coverage of West Coast Streetwear: https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2021-sneaker-investment/?srnd=businessweek-v2
