Subscribe on Apple Podcasts or Subscribe on Android or Subscribe on Google Podcasts Marsha’s Projects I’m still working on the pair of socks for myself using Drops Fabel Print that I bought in San Luis Obispo. I’m making progress on the Walk Along tee by AnkeStrick and I’m using Little Fish Stitches fingering. I’ve put the sleeves on waste yarn and knit about an inch on the body. I lost the tags on the half cakes of yarn that I had set up so I could alternate skeins and avoid pooling. I think it will be ok, but I spent so much time documenting my strategy.  I started a spinning project with olive green merino roving I bought at the Whidbey Island Weavers meet up in April 2019. I'm combining it with another merino I ordered from Paradise Fibers in Spokane, Washington in a dark brown called Bitter Chocolate. Making a 3 ply with two green and one brown single. I’ve spun two skeins. Kelly’s Projects  I’m almost finished with a pair of socks for Robert. I’m using leftovers of Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stopper, Independent Will colorway. I had 90 grams left after using it for argyle socks for my brother-in-law. I’m using gray handspun leftovers from his Civil War Socks for the toes and heels.  I also started an Ice Time Hat. The yarn is Lady Dye craftivism kit singles (19th Amendment colorway) in cream, purple and yellow, held double with Duren Dyeworks fingering in a brownish purple and gold. The pattern is really fun and it’s looking great! Check out my project page.  Extremities Knit/Crochet Along This KAL/CAL was inspired by the generous donation of these patterns: Abington Mitts, Jennifer Lassonde, Down Cellar Studio Coffee Socks Collection, Dotsdabbles Designs, Deborah It starts now (February 2021) and will end on April 25, 2021. Knit anything for your extremities (hands, arms, legs, feet). Some examples include socks, leg warmers, mitts,  mittens, gloves, and wristlets. There will be a giveaway thread in the Ravelry Group for you to post your FOs.  Winter Weave Along You can join in with your weaving projects anytime until March 31. We will have prizes, including a class generously donated by Erica at Weavolution. Check out this great website for weavers with projects, discussion, classes, and lots of resources. I’m back to working on the Walk Along by AnkeStrick and I’m using Little Fish Stitches fingering. I was having problems where I was alternating skeins at the beginning of row which was at the back of the sweater. A huge thank you to MyBlueGirl and Sarahjhill for suggesting Helical knitting. This solves the problem of the messy looking change. I started a spinning project with olive green merino roving I bought at the Whidbey Island Weavers meet up in April 2019. Combining it with another merino I ordered from Paradise Fibers in Spokane, Washington in a dark brown called Bitter Chocolate. Making a 3 ply with two green and one brown single. Kelly’s Projects  Finished!  I hemmed the Christmas Candy dishtowels and put them away!  I also finished With Friends Pullover using the pattern Rachel by Josée Paquin.  It still needs ends woven in and blocking. I’m really happy with how it turned out and I’m looking forward to wearing it.  The Persian Tile Blanket is coming along, but I didn’t work on it as much in the last two weeks. Instead I started a pair of socks for Robert. I’m using leftovers of Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stopper, Independent Will colorway. I had 90 grams left after using it for argyle socks for my brother-in-law. Not sure I’ll have enough but I’m planning to use toes and heels of a different yarn. In this episode, the girls are back at it after some time away! Finished Projects Susie finished her second pair of Downpour Socks, and started and finished her Stripe Study Shawl using Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stopper in Glacial and Seaweed that she picked up at the ZK market. Current Projects Happily, Danie added a bunch of squares her Stained Glass Sock Blanket. Less happily, she almost finished her pair of Broncos socks and put in three heels into her Downpour Socks, and realized both are a touch too tight. (The culprit is clearly humidity ankles.) Susie worked on her Endless Maze Socks, and cast on the Weekend Pullover using Luna Grey Fiber Arts Nova Worsted in Brickhouse. finished Oh, Scrap! Blanket squares #20 and #21 of 63, and started a Bunny Hat with Chin Ties using Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash in a buff color. She also worked more on her Downpour Socks, and started a new self-designed pair she is calling the Endless Maze Socks using Panorama Fiber Arts Hitchhiker Sock in Torrent. Danie worked a bit on , and on her WeekEnder Hexi Blanket. She also worked on her I See You Socks. Enhance the Stash Danie acquired a mini pack from Marigold Jen, a skein of Suburban Stitcher Sock in Bourbon Street Blues. Susie's acquisitions were many, and are all logged on her Ravelry stash page.

In this episode, the girls do a deep-dive into knitting with handspun. Susie can't carry a tune in a bucket, and Danie is a show-stopper. Miscellaneous things mentioned include With Pointed Sticks' Killer Fall Collection, Danie's and PrairiePoppin's (of Imagined Landscapes) prairie-inspired collaboration, Danie's collaboration with The Rusted Stitch and Lucia of the Knitted Paradise video podcast, the Cables & Arans Harmony Guide, and Melissa Schaschwary's designs. Listen here. Finished Projects Susie finished the 4th Birthday Socks, and the Alight Cowl. Danie finished several earbud pouches based on Mary Keenan's Earbud Pouch pattern, but modified for her toe-up preferences. Current Projects Susie started her second Newborn Bonnet & Wrap Set, and finished the bonnet. She also made some progress on her Threshold and has past the sleeve-joining point, and started her Ripple Ribbed Socks. Danie has been crushing the cables in her Tour de Fleece handspun in a modified Elda Cardigan. Enhance the Stash Danie acquired an amazing and endlessly useful NeedleBook from 19 Stitches. Susie acquired a wrist ruler from LVLY that she saw on Black Mountain Yarn Shop's Instagram feed, a skein of Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stopper in The Great Sweater Debate, and the most fabulous zippered sock-sized project bag and matching WIPminder from Suburban Stitcher. Knits on Screen Susie has been enjoying Slow TV's National Knitting Evening on Netflix, and you know there is some serious knits on screen on a show like that.
