    Ivy Insights

The 2 Knit Lit Chicks podcast is a must-listen for any knitting enthusiast or book lover. I've been knitting for years, but never realized what I was missing until I stumbled upon this podcast. Barb and Tracie, the mother-daughter team behind the show, are incredibly organized and provide detailed episode notes. They even include links to patterns and yarns mentioned during the episode, making it easy for listeners to follow along.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the candid and honest conversations between Barb and Tracie. They aren't afraid to share when a pattern doesn't work for them and explain why. Their friendly and easy-going demeanor makes it feel like you're sitting with friends at a knitting group or eavesdropping on interesting people. I particularly enjoy hearing about their current projects, what they plan on making next, and upcoming knitting shows they'll be attending.

Another great feature of this podcast is their book reviews. Barb and Tracie discuss books they've been reading and provide synopses of each one along with their personal rating. As an avid reader, I appreciate their recommendations and have discovered new authors and titles thanks to their suggestions.

In terms of drawbacks, there have been a few recent episodes where background noise such as ice clinking and chewing has detracted from the listening experience. While this is unusual for the podcast, it can be unpleasant for some listeners.

In conclusion, The 2 Knit Lit Chicks podcast is a fantastic listen for anyone interested in knitting or books (or both!). The dynamic between Barb and Tracie is enjoyable, their projects are interesting, and their book recommendations are valuable. Whether you're looking for project ideas or new reading material, this podcast has something for everyone in the knitting community. Thank you to Barb and Tracie for providing such wonderful content that enriches our love of knitting and reading!
