Grieco didn't need sticky spy shoes. He could have just used his hair gel to stick to any wall. "If Looks Could Kill" starring Richard Grieco is a delightful surprise that defies expectations in the best way possible. Known for his more serious and brooding roles, Grieco takes a refreshing turn in this zany action-comedy, delivering a performance that's as energetic as it is unexpected. This movie is the epitome of early '90s charm: it's corny, it's cheesy, and it's packed with jokes that initially might make you roll your eyes, but stick around, because much like someone with an unstoppable case of bad gas, it soon becomes a riot of laughs. The first few jokes might make you groan, but before you know it, you're giggling at every ridiculous quip and over-the-top stunt. It's almost like the movie dares you to not take it seriously—and that's where the fun really begins. The plot is absurdly entertaining, following Grieco's character, Michael Corben, a high school student who accidentally gets mistaken for a secret agent while on a school trip to France. The ensuing chaos is a roller coaster of wild car chases, explosive gadgets, and villainous plots that seem like they were pulled straight from a comic book. The humor is relentless, with each scene seemingly trying to outdo the last in terms of sheer goofiness. The villains are over-the-top caricatures, the action sequences are delightfully exaggerated, and Grieco's transformation from clueless teenager to accidental hero is a joy to watch. The film doesn't shy away from leaning into its own silliness, and that's exactly what makes it so endearing. "If Looks Could Kill" might not win any awards for subtlety, but it's an absolute blast if you're in the mood for something lighthearted and fun. It's the kind of movie that you start watching with a skeptical smile, and by the end, you're laughing out loud, appreciating the fact that sometimes it's okay to just enjoy a film for its pure, unabashed absurdity. It's a cult classic for anyone who loves their action comedies with a hefty dose of cheese.

But when a British intelligence agent mistakes Michael for a spy of the same name, they rush him to headquarters and assign him to capture the evil Augustus Steranko (Roger Rees), using a plethora of espionage gadgetry. Michael has the time of his life -- until he crosses paths with two assassins (Tom Rack, Carole Davis) who want him dead.Justin and I may have conflicting opinions - but not as conflicting as Gene and Roger do! Then, stick around for a chat with author Kate White! Kate White is the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of eighteen novels of suspense: ten standalone psychological thrillers, including the upcoming The Last Time She Saw Him (May '24), and also eight Bailey Weggins mysteries. For fourteen years Kate served as the editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, which under her became the most successful magazine in single copy sales in the U.S. Though she loved her magazine career, she decided to leave ten years ago to concentrate full-time on another passion: writing suspense fiction. Kate's first mystery, If Looks Could Kill, was a Kelly Ripa Book Club pick, a #1 bestseller on Amazon, and an instant New York Times bestseller. She has been nominated for an International Thriller Writers Award in the fiction category, and her books have been published in over 30 countries worldwide. Like many female mystery authors, Kate fell in love with the genre after reading her first Nancy Drew book, in her case The Secret of Redgate Farm. Kate is a frequent speaker at libraries, book conferences, and organizations, and has appeared on many television shows, including The Today Show, CBS This Morning, Morning Joe, and Good Morning America. She is also the editor of the Mystery Writers of America Cookbook, as well as the author of several bestselling career books, including I Shouldn't Be Telling You This and the ground-breaking Why Good Girls Don't Get Ahead but Gutsy Girls Do. Kate is an avid traveler and enjoys spending each winter with her husband at their home in Uruguay. Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth interview with Antonio Sabato Jr., Renowned Actor, Producer & Author About Harvey's guest: Today's guest, Antonio Sabato Jr., is a highly popular and immensely likeable actor, producer and writer who first made a splash as Janet Jackson's sexy dancing partner in her hugely successful 1990 music video, “Love Will Never Do Without You”. He then went on to play the charismatic “John Jagger Cates” in the daytime drama, “General Hospital”, earning 3 Soap Opera Digest Award nominations. He returned to that role in 2008 in “General Hospital: Night Shift”. He's appeared in many feature films and TV movies including “The Big Hit”, “High Voltage”, “Fatal Error”, “Mindstorm”, “Ghost Voyage”, “If Looks Could Kill”, “Shark Hunter”, “Guilty as Charged”, “Drifter: Henry Lee Lucas”, for which he won a Best Actor Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, “Grace By Night”, for which he won TWO Best Actor Awards at prestigious international film festivals, “One Nation Under God”, for which he won TWO Best Supporting Actor Awards at the Christian Film Festival, and of course, he also appeared in the wonderful 1999 miniseries, “Tribe”. You've also seen him in dozens of TV shows including “Earth 2”, “Melrose Place”, “Charmed”, “The Help”, “Hilton Head Island”, and he portrayed “Dante Damiano” on “The Bold and the Beautiful”, earning 2 NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series. He's also starred in 2 reality shows: “My Antonio”, and the immensely popular “Fix it and Finish it”, in addition to appearing many times on “The Balance”, starring Eric Bolling. And who can forget his sexy dance routines with Cheryl Burke in Season 19 of “Dancing with the Stars”? And if all of that weren't enough, in the late-90s, our guest became a global sensation as a model and representative for Calvin Klein. His iconic photos wearing Calvin Klein underwear appeared in EVERY magazine, and he was even featured on a 90 foot billboard overlooking Times Square, causing traffic to stop and hearts to palpitate. In 1999 our guest released a terrific book entitled, “No Excuses: Workout for Life”, all about his approach to physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. That book sold 300,000 copies. And in 2020, he released a deeply personal, heartfelt and poignant memoir entitled, “Sabato: The Untold Story”, chronicling his family history, his determination to succeed, and his resilience in an industry that can sometimes be brutal. He also provides a frank account of the struggles he faced as an actor seeking to continue his film and television career following his groundbreaking speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention and his run for Congress. The book is now being revised to include great photographs and updated chapters about our guest's newly revitalized career. After reading his book, I was compelled to invite him on our show, because he has an inspirational story that everyone needs to hear. Marc's Miserable Marvelous May continues with one of New World's final projects: an adaptation of the Marvel comic book GENERATION X created by Scott Lobdell and Chris Bachalo from director Jack Sholder (THE HIDDEN)! Peter Fluet returns from Ep. 33 STAR CRYSTAL to discuss the characters, world, and potential of this would-be feature-length pilot for a TV series that never was! Also, what brought about the true end of New World? And, most important of all: how great was Richard Grieco's IF LOOKS COULD KILL? So get ready for some jubilation (except from Marc) as we examine yet another important part of the 1990's MCU!

Today we're trying something a little different. For a long time, we've been talking about the Hollywood stock we've bought, how it turned out, and whose future we'd invest in today. Our inescapable hubris made us believe you'd like to hear that conversation, so HERE IT IS! You're gonna hear names like Skeet Ulrich and James Purefoy (busts), Rosario Dawson and Anna Kendrick (stocks we'll never sell), and Anya Taylor-Joy and Jonathan Majors (blue chip, first round picks). This episode is essentially a long list (although we had hundreds more) of people we love, no matter what category they're in. Get ready for a dose of nostalgia for those we love, sadness for those who don't seem to be coming back, hope for the return of old favorites, and giddy optimism for the next generation. Also, you'll get to follow the results of our futures draft!! Recommendations: Cole: Short Term 12, Country Strong, Sex Drive Jedd: Disturbia, Airborne, If Looks Could Kill
This week, the guys welcome back Steve and Izzy of Everything I Learned from Movies to talk about the Richard Grieco-led spy flick - If Looks Could Kill. Is this movie basically Never Too Young to Die or is it... better? Did Linda Hunt's character murder Wonder Woman for her gold whip? Wouldn't you know before going to your own graduation that you failed high school? Was the villain's evil plan to create something that is a real benign thing today? What is the least efficient assassination method and why is it "bringing a scorpion in a tiny box to a hotel room?" All this and more - enjoy! Check our social media on Sunday for the Sunday Screencrap and take a guess at our next movie! I've you've ever wondered why Richard Grieco never made it on the big screen, this 1991 box office flop might be to blame. But was "If Looks Could Kill" really all that bad? The supporting cast is fantastic, the parody of James Bond films is a lot of fun, the sex appeal is there, and the memorable one-liners keep you smiling. But this movie is far from perfect. Grieco's face looks rubbery, he's in his mid-20s, and the plot really doesn't make sense. Who sends their kid to France for failing French? I omgångar. If Looks Could Kill is a piece of vintage 90s cinema. It takes a young star—presumably on the rise—and tasks them with elevating a sub-par film. It's a challenge many budding leading men have been burdened with. Richard Grieco—most famously Dennis Booker from the 21 Jump Street TV show and its spin-off Booker—is not quite up to the task. His big screen woes mirror that of his small screen ones. Like Booker, audiences did not flock to If Looks Could Kill. His suave appearance and brash attitude were not accompanied by the requisite charm. Grossing just $7.8 million on a budget as high as $12 million, it served as evidence that Grieco may not be the next big thing. It's hard to argue that point. But If Looks Could Kill is a fun—albeit stupid fun—time. It's a spoof on more serious spy movies, offering up a case of mistaken identity to fuel its hijinks. It also clearly served as a mild inspiration for more popular films to come. Cough ... Spider-Man: Far from Home ... cough ... With that in mind, watch it for what it is, and do a spit-take when you realize Roger Daltrey—of The Who fame—shows up just to be murdered by the principal from Kindergarten Cop. Now, sit back, toast to the lady on the moon with a Miller High Life, and stop fidgeting with the spy car's myriad of switches! I, the Thunderous Wizard (@WriterTLK), Capt. Cash, Chumpzilla, and Mayor McCheese are smelting gold and reforming the European Union! This Week’s Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – McCheese and I loved this when were kids. Did it hold up? (00:00) Lingering Questions – Is beer chugging required to sit through this 90s B-movie? (47:19) Trivia Challenge – McCheese challenges the field to a host of Grieco-related trivia. (59:10) Recommendations – After a word from our pals at Hop Nation USA, we offer our picks for the week; and next up: We continue our "Hops and 00-Flops," series with Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever! The Long Kiss Goodnight is obnoxious, loud, and dumb. In other words, most action movies of the 80s and 90s. It's also hopelessly convoluted and botches its central premise—that of an amnesic suburban housewife who has forgotten that she used to be an assassin. Starring Geena Davis—in her second collaboration with former husband Renny Harlin—as Samantha Caine (the innocent)/Charly Baltimore (the no-so-innocent), The Long Kiss Goodnight just isn't equal to the sum of its parts. The supporting cast is great—boasting Samuel L. Jackson, Brian Cox, Craig Bierko, and David Morse, amongst others—and it was written by Shane Black, the literal master of this conceit (i.e. the mismatched action duo). Even with those elements, it just never comes together. Sure, there are scenes that work, but not enough of them; and for an action film, its set pieces generally fall flat or down a drain at Niagara Falls, only to reappear unscathed. Critics didn't agree with our pod's assessment. The film sits at 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences, though, were skeptical. It grossed just $89.5 million on a budget of $65. But, its failures set a nice template for future films and proved—however unnecessary it was to prove—that women can also kick ass. So, sit back, set your sights on a Head Hunter IPA from Fat Head's Brewery, and deal with the fact that life is pain! I, the Thunderous Wizard (@WriterTLK), Capt. Cash, Chumpzilla, and Mayor McCheese are blowing shit up with Charly Baltimore and trying to remember exactly why we're doing it! This Week’s Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – Was Davis' second collaboration with Harlin better than the water logged dreck that was Cutthroat Island? (00:00) Lingering Questions – Shane Black loves Christmas, but what's his best holiday-centered film? (47:08) The "Life is Pain" Trivia Night Challenge – After we hear a word from our brothers in beer, Hop Nation USA, Capt. Cash challenges the field to trivia about the movie. (1:10:46) Recommendations – We offer our picks for the week, and next up: We continue our "Hops and 00-Flops," series with If Looks Could Kill! Hot off the heels of "If Looks Could Kill", Baywatch is back with another triple-six-Hoffs episode! Mitch is being tormented, Cape Fear style. Ben reminisces on an undetermined decade. Kaye serves apples and cheese for dessert. Garner drops the ball. Mason Sato (Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa) establishes himself as a legendary Baywatch villain. Join Zach, Charlie, and special guest Ann Maddox (@mikiannmaddox, @miothecatmeowmeow) as we break down the episode's baffling surf montage, obsess over Mason Sato's chokers, speculate that an extra at the bar was looking for a third, and Zach points out some odd discrepancies between the backgrounds in a couple of shots as we dive in to yet another episode of Baywatch Watch!
Cory sits down with Richard Grieco, the star of one of Cory's favorite films, If Looks Could Kill. Richard has done everything from his breakout role as Dennis Booker in 21 Jumpstreet, to his memorable part in Night At The Roxbury. He's also an accomplished artist and director. Sit back and listen as we cover not only his past, but his upcoming film Clinton Road as well. I must say Richard was probably the most down to earth guy I have ever had a chance to talk to. I hope you enjoy. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/chronicleshistory/support

Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Rodney Crowell joins Scott to chat about a remarkable career that has yielded classic songs such as “Til I Gain Control Again,” “I Ain’t Living Long Like This,” “Ashes By Now,” “After All This Time,” and “Shame on the Moon.” EPISODE DETAILS: PART ONE Scott and Paul chat about their friends at Pearl Snap Studios, Paul's recent ASCAP award, the Ken Burns Country Music documentary, a sad loss in the songwriting community, and how an encounter with Rodney Crowell made an impression on Paul when he was in fifth grade. PART TWO - 12:03 mark Scott gets together with Rodney Crowell to hear why Townes Van Zandt stealing his girlfriend led to his first cut as a songwriter; how he went from making $7 a night and living in his car to landing a publishing deal; why he told his wife to take her time bailing him out of jail so he could write one of his now-classic songs; how getting rejected by Anne Murray led to getting discovered by Emmylou Harris; the song he realized he inadvertently ripped off when writing “Ashes By Now;” the reason he decided to re-write one of his most classic songs years after it had become a hit; the song he and Rosanne Cash wrote that he still wishes she’d record; how he co-wrote a song with Roy Orbison from beyond the grave; why he now regrets speaking out about covers of his songs he didn’t particularly like; which of his recent compositions he calls one of the best songs he’s ever written; and why he feels like he didn’t find his voice and become a real recording artist until his tenth album. ABOUT RODNEY CROWELL Emmylou Harris—who once employed Rodney Crowell as the guitarist, harmony singer, and arranger in her legendary Hot Band—introduced many listeners to Crowell’s songs, which then went on to become hits for other artists. “Til I Gain Control Again” was covered by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Bobby Bare before Crystal Gaye took it to the top of the country charts. “Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight” and “I Ain’t Living Long Like This” became number one hits for The Oak Ridge Boys and Waylon Jennings, respectively. “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues” went on to become a hit for both Lynn Anderson and the duo of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, while “Ashes By Now” became a Top 5 single for Lee Ann Womack before going on to be covered by Etta James. While it was Harris who first shone the spotlight on Crowell, he soon established his own successful artist career, becoming the first country singer to earn five number-one hits from a single album. His biggest self-penned singles as an artist include “It’s Such a Small World,” “She’s Crazy for Leaving,” “Many a Long and Lonesome Highway,” “If Looks Could Kill,” “Lovin’ All Night,” “What Kind of Love,” “I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried,” which was nominated for a Best Country Song Grammy, and “After All This Time,” which was nominated for both CMA and ACM Song of the Year and won a Grammy for Best Country Song. Crowell songs that have become number one hits for other artists include Bob Seger’s recording of “Shame on the Moon,” The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Long Hard Road (The Sharecropper’s Dream),” “Somewhere Tonight” by Highway 101, Tim McGraw’s recording of “Please Remember Me” and Keith Urban’s cover of “Making Memories of Us.” Additional highlights of his catalog include Vince Gill’s Top 10 recording of “Oklahoma Borderline”; “Stars on the Water,” which has been recorded by Jimmy Buffett and George Strait; “Voila an American Dream,” which has been recorded by Guy Clark and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; and “Song for the Life,” which was recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kathy Mattea, and Alison Krauss before becoming a Top 10 hit for Alan Jackson. As a producer, Crowell was behind a string of hits for then-wife Rosanne Cash, including “Seven Year Ache,” “Ain’t No Money,” which he wrote, and “I Don’t Know Why You Don’t Want Me,” which he and Rosanne co-wrote and which earned him his first of sixteen Grammy nominations. Crowell has since been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Songwriting from the Americana Music Association, the prestigious ASCAP Founder’s Award, the Academy of Country Music’s Poet’s Award, and induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame In recent years Crowell has become an Americana darling with critically-acclaimed albums such as The Houston Kid, Fate’s Right Hand, The Outsider, Sex and Gasoline, and a pair of duet albums with Emmylou Harris, Old Yellow Moon and The Traveling Kind. His latest album is called Texas.

First up in KUFFS Christian Slater has to take over his slain brother's security district. He uses this as a way to hunt down his brother's killer all while breaking the fourth wall. Also we talk about Netflix's Dark Crystal, Blade Runner 2049, In The Flesh, Get Carter, Batman:Hush, and at the end of the episode we throw up a spoiler warning for a very spoilery talk about IT: Chapter 2.

Ladies and gents, Episode 266 is in your kitchen. GO GET IT! Baseball is back, and the boys get in-depth on spring training action. Benny admits that he's ok with Alex Cora. That's pretty huge. Speaking of, they also discuss how Benny Biceps is getting large and in charge. The fellas also receive a nice letter from Richard Grieco. Mr. If Looks Could Kill is very excited to join the High and Tight Fan Club (like everyone on the damn planet). So that's cool. And he also asked about the High and Tight movie. Lots of intel on that blockbuster ass film. Also - RZ discusses a filthy concert he went to. AND they play a sweet Tobin Karaoke Jam. This one is sweet.

This is it, Matt and Ryan make it official, Movies are the next big thing! It may take a while for this brave new medium to find its footing, so this week we do our best to support upstarts like Tangerine, Brawl in Cell Block 99, the Mens in Black, The Last Jedi and/or Samurai, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Iron Man 3, Thor Ragnarok, The Man Who Knew Too Little, If Looks Could Kill, Zathura, I Am Number Four, Race to Witch Mountain, Deja Vu, Next, Source Code, Clear and Present Danger, Fearless, Cast Away, and What Lies Beneath. And if that seems like too much then you're in luck, we'll regularly be tackling just one movie a week starting with Jackie Chan's latest The Foreigner. So watch the film, join the discussion, and maybe together we can finally get the word out: movies are pretty good!

On this week's episode, the guys go back to school with the spectacularly ridiculous, high school spy comedy, If Looks Could Kill! Why doesn't Richard Grieco just sit these people down and explain the situation calmly? How often were they waxing his eyebrows on set? And how much of this film was stolen by later Bond films—or was it the other way around? PLUS: A big bit of information about our L.A. Podfest appearance! If Looks Could Kill stars Richard Grieco, Roger Rees, Linda Hunt, Robin Bartlett, Gabrielle Anwar, and Roger Daltrey; directed by William Dear.

They have also produced the live telecasts of The Sound of Music Live!, Peter Pan Live!, The Wiz Live! and the Broadway revivals of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Promises, Promises. They have produced the Oscars telecasts since the 85th Academy Awards (2012). They’ve put Broadway on the minds of millions and millions of people, and they sat down with me to talk all about why the theater is important, and . . . The lesson Joe Papp taught them about how to pick a project. Just what is happening with the Broadway production of Bombshell and when??? What Hollywood has taught them and what they think Broadway should learn. How they’ve managed to convince the biggest names in entertainment, from Barbra Streisand to Bette Midler, to do their stuff. And how you can learn to convince people to. Which one reads the chat rooms and which one doesn’t, and how they feel about the social media audience. JAMES DAVID PATRICK, creator of the James Bond Social Media Project, #Bond_age_, returns to chat about William Dear's 1991 movie, If Looks Could Kill. We talk Grieco, and the state of television and the James Bond series that created a perfect storm for this film to be made. We also touch on American spy movies, ILCK's appeal for 15-year-old boys, and the power of nostalgia when considering one's own favorite films. Great talk!#Bond_age twitter#Bond_age websiteMusic on this podcast:Artist: The Escape ClubSong: Who Do You Love?Artist: The OutfieldSong: One Hot CountryCopyrights are owned by the artists and their labels. This week on the Fanny Pack thrill ride, we dive into a young promising Chicago promotion, Freelance Wrestling, and their recent event The Uprising. We talk about how much we love Suge D, how we can't believe Robert Anthony didn't stay signed, some great character work from Four Star Heroes, If Looks Could Kill's fantastic heel-ness, DJ Zema Ion's good sense in headphones, and how uncomfortable The N Words made us despite loving Acid Jazz & Bryce Benjamin. All that and a whole lot more awaits you when you press play!
Dennis har været i biografen og anmelder en splinterny Cannes-aktuel film! David har set anbefalinger fra lytterne. All that and more coming up right now... AIE NEWS We have a new guildie of the moment! Everyone give three cheers to Mutang! He's a nomination from a fellow guildie who wrote in to tell us this: Good morning officers, Wanted to throw a quick shoutout to a fellow guildie named Mutang (Tauren Hunter, Audacia) who provided a good half hour worth of free IT help for me this morning. I'm a big believer in positive feedback for people that do the right thing, and this guy went above and beyond. Just wanted to let y'all know! Thanks for keeping the best guild on the planet in good order. Bricksquad (Formerly known as Teradar) 90 Orc shammy, AIE Salus Thanks for letting us know Bricksquad! And thank you Mutang, for helping us keep the AIE experience positive! If you know someone who exemplifies the AIE spirit, please let us know at officers@aie-guild.org! The Kickstarter for the AIE Blizzcon Guild Hall is active as of today! This will prove to be a great event, and we're hoping to do both OUR podcast and a live The Instance show from there! Help contribute and make this happen! We're already at almost 25% towards this after just a few hours. There are several tiers you can choose to back, with great rewards including swag bags, t-shirts, a chance to run a raid with the WoW officers, and even a game of Cards Against Humanity with Scott Johnson! As a note, the kickstarter for this one is a little shorter than usual, only 15 days! As expected, the host of games AIE has ventured into has gotten bigger! This week, Final Fantasy has entered settlement phase and is “AIE Official!” UMAMI support has been added and all the details can be found on the forums! Those of you in AIE World of Warcraft, and interested in how we're doing raid-wise, will definitely want to check out our Raid Team Summary and Raid Progression wiki pages, which list the raid teams in AIE WoW and how far they have progressed. We have some great raiding posts in the forums, but digging through the forums to see how many raid teams we have or how they're doing is not very efficient. That kind of information is perfect for our Wiki. Rowna has made several changes to the Raid Team Summary page, trying to get as many of the raiding teams that were already there updated, and adding the ones that weren't, and the Raid Progression page is showing If Looks Could Kill is far in the lead, downing Iron Juggernaut in Gates of Retribution. The wiki is open for all AIE members to edit, so if your team isn't up there, then you can go ahead and add them. And now it's even easier! Stigg has updated the wiki to use a graphical editor that makes editing the wiki just like editing a forum post. No more having to learn wiki code to make a good looking update to the page. So there's no excuse for not jumping in. Just go to wiki.aie-guild.org and sign in with your UMAMI name and password. There's room for every game and every topic, so if you don't see something there you think should be, just add it! And speaking of raiding, for those of you on any raid team in any AIE game, don't forget Sihx is looking to hear what you've done so he can add it to the Raid Wrapup segment he produces for this podcast. Send all the details of your latest accomplishment to him at aieraidwrapup@gmail.com and you'll get to hear your raid team on the segment! Meetups! There are a ton of new ones. Those party people in Phoenix still have their thread up in the forums, and it looks like the folks in Colorado are al...

Everyone give three cheers for Wyllow of The Secret World! Many great things were said about this guildie including This player has been super helpful and very patient every time I have spoken to her in game. She's always answered questions when she is free and is willing to lend a helping hand. Wyllow is awesome, one of the nicest and most helpful people I have met in any game. I totally agree, she has been a vital part of AIE Secret World and she is just all around amazing So everyone please congratulate Wyllow if you see her in game, and remember you too can nominate someone for Guildie of the Moment, just send an email to officers@aie-guild.org If you're a former Rift player who wandered off to other things and wants to see how Telara has been keeping, you might be interested to know that Rift will be free to play this weekend. This isn't the free-to-play version that's in the works; this is just a special deal for former subscribers who want to check the game out again to decide if they want to add it back to their game rotation when the game goes free to everyone. The free time started today, May 30th, and will last until Monday, June 3rd. The Guild members of Lord of the Rings Online are taking advantage of the new Springfest in-game event! It all starts on June 1st at 9 PM Eastern time. where they will have live music, and later in the evening a foray into the Ettenmoors for PvMP (player versus monster-player). More information can be found in the lord of the rings section of the AIE forums in the AIE Springfest ‘13 thread. For all you current and future starfleet captains, we are happy to announce Star Trek Online has now been added to the AIE UMAMI membership database. All current STO guild members need to sign up in UMAMI to register their characters. AIE's starfleet admirals will be conducting a purge of all guild members in game that are not in UMAMI on June 29th, so make sure your captains are accounted for. Big thanks to the hardworking Stigg for making the update If you'd like to take a peek at some of the World of Warcraft Tier 14 raid content, our own If Looks Could Kill raiding team has put together a very impressive video from showing off their adventures in Mogu'shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring. You can find the link in the AIE Azeroth forums, or in our show notes . The AIE Cookbook is a hit! At least according to Beefmaster and Beefywife. If you'd like to feed your own AIE horde, you can get a copy of the AIE Cookbook in the Frogpants store for just $19.95. The cookbook is full of beautiful illustrations by our own master cartoonist and head nerd Scott Johnson, and of course wonderful home-grown family-favorite recipes from dozens of AIE members. All profits go to fund AIE in Real Life events, such as the Guild Hall at Blizzcon, so it's good for AIE as well as your belly. World of warcraft has a new mount for sale The armored Bloodwing! If you have 25 dollars american, and feel like you don't have anything wicked cool to ride around azeroth on, we suggest you give this shadow bat a look. If you follow the AIE EVE forums,

AIE NEWS The Great Merge has completed for Book of Heroes! Or at least, the first phase of such. There was a lot of shuffling going around with faces old and new meeting in the new guilds! There doesn't seem to be a need for limits on alts anymore, so if you'd like alts in the same guild, seems fine. Make sure and watch the forums as things develop! AIE has now conquered all of the bosses in World of Warcraft MoP! The raid team “If Looks Could Kill” has taken down Lei Shen and is now currently working on heroic modes! We don't normally make these sorts of announcements, but a ‘AIE First' was worth a mention! Yet another game has joined the AIE Family of being a drain on simply time, not time AND money. Rift has announced they are going Free to Play! Join your fellow guildies in the world of Telara and enjoy all the dynamic content they have to offer... for free! There have been various threads that have gone up surrounding Nerdtacular this year, and it looks like someone has made a ‘roll call' that you can sign up on. Do you miss the big green wall of friendly text when you're in that realm called Real Life? Don't forget, AIE has a Jabber server! What's Jabber you say? For links to all of the news items we just mentioned, see our show notes at theaiepodcast.com And now it's time to jump into AIE's adventures in Lord of the Rings Online... GAME NEWS Dux: Update 11 dropped - Treachery of the White Hand. 5 new areas (rolling hills now frozen, vast areas of tundra, along with flash frozen forests, lakes, everything). Saruman's hold over Rohan brings a chill to all - the chill effect. Mounted Combat changes Combat. On mounts. What is more awesome than that?!?!?! Removed the ‘mobility' elements of the tree and integrated parts of it in to the base warhorse itself. Also reworked the trees to allow for more integration (synergy - ugh) with the character that rides it. The goal is to make the transition of playing your character on foot doesn't seem so different to riding on horseback. Apolas >Lalia's Market >Hobbit Gifts Vanflicke >Housing upkeep and new foreclosure - you can prepay your taxes/rent further in advance and it will hold for six months before going into escrow. >Changes to VIP (paid) vs. F2p or B2p - better experience bonus for VIPs >Spring Festival Spring Festival runs from May 21 to June 4th (only two weeks) this year. Lots of events in the Spring Festival, it seems like it gets busier every year.
If Looks Could Kill (1991) starts a quick spy double header in honor of pending James Bond. Richard Grieco is a “spy” with too much makeup and a far too trusting supporting cast that defines the old joke about the word assume. Second half we go double header on our Bond Marathon with Casino […]
