As the Tent Talk Summer Reading Series moves toward its finale, Nancy begins Chapter 3, Have a Mind to Suffer, from Watchman Nee's The Character of God's Workman. With 1 Peter 4:1 as the foundation, Nancy reframes the “mind to suffer” as the mind to endure—an essential aspect of the mind of Christ that must be developed as sons mature. This is not about pursuing suffering, earning the Father's love, or simply gritting our teeth until difficulty passes. It is a freely chosen willingness to continue with the Father through pressure, obstacles, and trials while drawing deeply from His life within. From everyday inconveniences to seasons of profound testing, Nancy challenges listeners to recognize each opportunity to endure as preparation for the days ahead. The question is not simply whether we can survive pressure, but whether the mind of Christ is being formed in us as we walk through it with Him. Thanks for Listening! Continuing the Tent Talk Summer Reading Series, Nancy closes Chapter 12, The Cross and the Soul Life, from Watchman Nee's The Normal Christian Life with a powerful exploration of the light of God and true spiritual knowledge. Rather than turning inward through self-analysis, Nancy emphasizes our dependence upon Holy Spirit to illuminate, search, and reveal what originates in the Spirit and what originates in the soul. Through the living Word, God brings the light that exposes mixture, natural strength, and self-reliance—not for condemnation, but to bring His sons into greater purity and dependence upon Him. This episode is an invitation to remain open before the Father, allowing His light and truth to lead until Christ Himself becomes the source of how we think, choose, serve, and live. Continuing the Tent Talk Summer Reading Series, Nancy returns to Chapter 12, The Cross and the Soul Life, from Watchman Nee's The Normal Christian Life, focusing on the danger of natural energy in the work of God. Natural intelligence, eloquence, leadership, and ability may all be valuable gifts, but when they operate independently of the Father, they cannot produce what is truly spiritual. Nancy highlights the difference between simply redirecting our natural strengths toward Christian work and allowing those strengths to come under the Cross and the government of the Holy Spirit. This episode invites maturing sons to examine not only what they are doing for God, but the source from which they are doing it—learning that true spiritual fruit comes through complete dependence upon Him. Continuing the Tent Talk Summer Reading Series, Nancy begins Chapter 12, The Cross and the Soul Life, from Watchman Nee's The Normal Christian Life. Returning to God's eternal purpose for man, she explores the distinction between having a soul and living by the soul as an independent source. Through the account of Adam and the two trees, Nancy highlights the Father's desire for sons who live in union with Him, drawing their life, strength, thoughts, and actions from Christ rather than from natural human resources. The soul was never meant to be eliminated, but brought into its proper place as the servant of the Spirit, expressing the life of Christ within. This episode invites listeners to recognize the Father's pruning work as He checks the independent soul life and brings His sons into deeper dependence, oneness, and expression of His Son. Concluding Chapter 5 of The Messenger of the Cross by Watchman Nee, Nancy brings the Tent Talk Summer Reading Series to a powerful turning point by emphasizing that true discernment cannot be achieved through self-analysis but only through the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit. Reflecting on Hebrews 4:12, she reminds listeners that the Word of God is the sword of the Spirit, wielded by the ever-present Holy Spirit who lives within every believer. As He separates soul and spirit, confusion gives way to clarity, and self-effort gives way to deep dependence upon the Father. X2M.252 Seuil — The Prisoner and the Threshold Series: CR20 Place De La Concorde Psalm 23 opens the passage: Yahweh as shepherd, friend, refuge, feast, and overflowing cup. Even in the valley of deepest darkness, fear does not conquer because the Shepherd is near.¹ This is **Seuil**: the threshold where restriction becomes entrance, where the bound place becomes the birthing place, where the small room opens into manifold wisdom. Paul enters Ephesians 3 as a prisoner of Christ. Bound in body, yet entrusted with revelation. Restricted in movement, yet carrying a mystery meant to reach the nations. This is the paradox of the threshold: freedom comes through holy constraint. Expansion comes through surrender. The Gospel travels through a man who cannot travel. Watchman Nee in prison. Bunyan writing from confinement. Paul bound for the Gentiles. Christ enclosed in human flesh. God often hides global architecture inside a small neighborhood. The mystery is this: Gentiles are now co-heirs, members of one body, and sharers in the promise through union with Christ. The wall has fallen. Jew and Gentile, male and female, slave and free — all are summoned into one new man.² This is not theory. It is construction. The manifold wisdom of God is revealed through the church: many-sided, layered, relational, architectural, local and global at once. What looks small in one place may carry a pattern large enough to reshape nations. The threshold is where this wisdom becomes visible. A prison cell becomes apostolic headquarters. A wilderness becomes formation. A restriction becomes revelation. A cross becomes a doorway. Seuil is the place where the soul stops resisting the boundary and begins listening inside it. The question is not, “Why am I restrained?” The question is, “What revelation is being formed here?” In Place De La Concorde architecture, X2M.252 is the threshold event: the public square of the heart learns holy agreement under constraint. The false head of self-effort is removed; the true Head teaches the vessel how to receive wisdom from the narrow place. Grace alone empowers. Christ alone is righteousness. The Spirit alone sanctifies. The Father alone knows how to form kings. And kings do not enter by arrogance. They enter by faith in the faithfulness of Jesus. The threshold is narrow, but it is not punishment. It is passage. The remnant learns to stop despising the day of small beginnings. A seed, a cell, a room, a hidden yes — these may be the places where heaven installs the architecture of a future world. Glorification | The Final Frontier Going boldly where the last man has gone before! Decrease time over target: PayPal or Venmo @clastronaut Cash App $clastronaut X2M.252 Seuil is not about being trapped. It is about discovering that the narrow place is a gate — where the prisoner receives revelation, the vessel becomes royal, and the manifold wisdom of God crosses the threshold into the earth. **Footnotes** ¹ Psalm 23 frames the Shepherd as nearness, provision, and fearless passage. ² Ephesians 3 reveals the mystery: Gentiles made co-heirs through union with Christ. ³ Seuil means threshold: the place of crossing, passage, and holy transition. ⁴ Restriction can become revelation when received in humility. ⁵ The manifold wisdom of God is revealed through the church as one new man.

This week on the Brave Co Podcast, I'm getting personal about something that's been stirring in my heart for the last eight months — the role of a man as a watchman, a priest, and a contender in prayer. I'll be honest with you, I've never thought of myself as a prayer warrior in the same league as men like Lou Engle or Watchman Nee, but God has been pulling me into a deeper place. After a lunch with a friend who is genuinely a man of prayer, I started making small shifts — five minutes here, ten minutes there — and watching what God was doing in real time. This episode is me inviting you into that same stirring.I walk through the four roles every man is called to step into — priest, prophet, king, and warrior — and zoom in on what it means to be a priest who goes to God on behalf of his family. We look at Isaiah 62, Ezekiel 22, Psalm 106, and the story of Moses literally changing God's mind on behalf of a rebellious nation. The truth is, God isn't lacking power. He's looking for men who will take ownership, men who will stand in the breach, men who refuse to let their families, their churches, and their cities go unprotected. That's you. That's me. That's our actual role.I share a story from my childhood about falling asleep under the chairs at my dad's Friday night prayer meetings while men like Bill Johnson and Danny Silk contended in the room, and how that model is still shaping me today. I talk about the Businessmen's Revival in America and why I believe God is waking men up right now to do the same thing in this generation. If you've been passive, distracted, or unsure where to even start, this episode gives you a simple challenge — just five minutes. Start there, build the habit, and watch what shifts. Stearns in Present Day Theology writes: "If you wish to know whether a man is a theologian, turn to his Greek Testament, and if it opens of its own accord to Romans 5, or you find the page warm and brown, you may safely set him down as a devotee of the sacred science.". S. Lewis Chafer A poor criminal stood before an Eastern monarch, trembling for his life. A moment later his head was to be severed from his body. He asked for a drink of water. They brought it, but his hand trembled so that he could not drink. The king cried to him, "Do not be so alarmed; your life is safe till you drink that water." In an instant the glass was shivered on the pavement and the water untasted, and looking boldly up to the king, the condemned man claimed the royal word. The monarch smiled bitterly, and said, "You have fairly won your life: I cannot break my word even to you. You are saved.". Selected Watchman Nee tells about a new convert who came in deep distress to see him. "No matter how much I pray, no matter how hard I try, I simply cannot seem to be faithful to my Lord. I think I'm losing my salvation." Nee said, "Do you see this dog here? He is my dog. He is house-trained; he never makes a mess; he is obedient; he is a pure delight to me. Out in the kitchen I have a son, a baby son. He makes a mess, he throws his food around, he fouls his clothes, he is a total mess. But who is going to inherit my kingdom? Not my dog; my son is my heir. You are Jesus Christ's heir because it is for you that He died." We are Christ's heirs, not through our perfection but by means of His grace. Watchman Nee. The story is told of a monastery in Portugal, perched high on a 3,000 foot cliff and accessible only by a terrifying ride in a swaying basket. The basket is pulled with a single rope by several strong men, perspiring under the strain of the fully loaded basket. One American tourist who visited the site got nervous halfway up the cliff when he noticed that the rope was old and frayed. Hoping to relive his fear he asked, "How often do you change the rope?" The monk in charge replied, "Whenever it breaks!". Daily Walk, March 30, 1992.

The Cross; Where Shame Dies and Victory Lives! "Having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us, he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:14-15 Watchman Nee once said that “Our old history ends with the cross; our new history begins with the resurrection.” In the journey of faith, we are reminded of the immense power held in the victory of Christ. Colossians 2:14-15 tells us that Jesus canceled the record of our debts, disarming the rulers and authorities. This profound act of love assures us that no burden can overshadow His grace. Just as the repentant thief at the cross experienced a transformative moment, so too can our stories be rewritten in the light of Jesus' sacrifice. When we reflect on the story of the thief in Luke 23:39-43, we see that even at the last moments of his life, a simple acknowledgment of Christ led to eternal salvation. His trust was rewarded, reminding us that it is never too late to embrace the new life offered to us through Jesus. Remember, the Cross is “Where shame dies, and victory lives,” because "The Cross is a doorway where shame walks out empty-handed, and triumph walks in unafraid." Galatians 6:14 says, "May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." Galatians 6:14 speaks of boasting only in the cross of Christ, which signifies the importance of recognizing our true identity. We are no longer defined by past disappointments but by the victory that comes through Christ's resurrection. In 1 Corinthians 1:18, we learn that the message of the cross is the power of God, because "Where nails tried to end the story, love rewrote the ending with a victory that never fades." As we identify the “canceled handwriting” of old debts and shame, we can proudly raise the banner of the cross over our lives. Let this be your declaration: "I am free, I am victorious, and my story is filled with hope." Embracing this truth enables us to walk in liberty and honor, restored by the sacrifice of Jesus. Amen. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." Amen. Prayer for the Day!Heavenly Father, thank You for the victory found in the cross. I pray, Jesus, let the victory of Your cross cancel my every defeat. Conquering King, nail my failures to Your cross. I exchange shame for honor, bondage for liberty, and defeat for certain victory. Let my life reflect the hope and triumph of Your resurrection. In Jesus name. Amen. https://maglife.org

He has lost. We are on Mount Zion; he is in the valley of despair. We have the high ground in Jesus Christ, and the power of Christ to hold that ground.Sequence is crucial. In this joint episode, Catherine unpacks the stunning concept that God often waits for His people to pray before He acts. She explains the "Train Track" analogy—how God’s will is the locomotive, but our prayers lay the rails for His power to move on earth. Catherine also shares her dramatic personal testimony of warring in prayer for her miracle children in her 40s. She details how she learned to direct her outrage at the enemy rather than God during difficult times. You’ll walk away with a new "legal" framework for the heavenly courtroom, understanding how to partner with God to see His will established in your life and the lives of your children. Prayer can feel perplexing—especially for Believers who want their words to shape eternity for their children and families. But what if you learned that unanswered prayers aren’t a sign of God’s absence, but an invitation to “lay the tracks” for His will on earth? In this episode, Catherine joins forces with prayer advocate and author Jaime Hampton, co-host of the Praying Christian Women Podcast, to explore the deepest mysteries and highest privileges of prayer, guided by the wisdom of Watchman Nee’s landmark book Let Us Pray. Together, they uncover why some prayers feel fruitless, how to discern God’s heart, and what it takes to persevere through spiritual bottlenecks. Drawing from personal stories—including Catherine’s journey to miraculous parenthood and Jaime’s awakening to the power of partnership in faith—they offer honest, hope-filled wisdom for anyone longing to pray with purpose.

Thatis what we have been emphasizing over the past few days: the importance ofliving this kind of life and the necessity of having a daily quiettime—spending time with God. It is God who works in you both to will and to doof His good pleasure as you make yourself available to Him. You put yourself inthe pathway of grace by practicing certain spiritual disciplines, such asreading your Bible and spending time in prayer. Thereis another discipline I began early as a brand-new believer, now some 54 yearsago—and that is memorizing Scripture. Take at least one verse a week. Memorizethat verse throughout the week. That's 52 verses a year. I did much more thanthat over the years, but I want to tell you something: if there is one regret Ihave, it is that I did not memorize even more Scripture. Youcan never memorize too much of God's Word. You may say, “I can't remember thoseverses later.” That doesn't matter. They are inside of you. The Holy Spiritwill bring to your remembrance what you have hidden in your heart. It's there, even if you don't consciously recall it at the moment. God will use it. Anotherdiscipline I have practiced over many years is reading good devotional books. At the top of my list, of course, is Oswald Chambers, ‘My Utmost for HisHighest'. He has several other excellent devotionals, such as ‘Daily Thoughtsfor Disciples'. Over the years, I have probably read 20 or 30 different devotionalbooks, by different authors, sometimes reading several each day for months at atime, simply to ensure that I was walking with wise men. Scripturetells us, “He that walks with wise men shall be wise, but a companion offools shall be destroyed” (Proverbs 13:20). I thought to myself, who can Iwalk with that is wise? Many of those people don't have time for mepersonally—but I can walk with them through their writings. They left theirlife and wisdom in their books.  Thereare wise men and women such as Oswald Chambers, A. W. Tozer, E. M. Bounds,Andrew Murray, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, and Mrs. Charles Cowman, whose book, “Streamsin the Desert' has been a great blessing. I can spend a few minutes with eachof these authors—people who knew God, walked with God, and had God-given wisdomconcerning spiritual life and the world around us. Iwant to make special mention of Henry Blackaby's ‘Experiencing God Day by Day'.I post that devotional on my website, (https://www.pmiministries.org/), and onFacebook every day. Another one I post daily is Dr. Elmer Towns, ‘365 Ways toKnow God'. I strongly encourage you to read it. I wish I had started reading ityears ago. Dr. Towns was my theology professor for four years at LibertyUniversity, back when it was Lynchburg Baptist College. I can tell you, youwill learn about God and come to know Him in a more intimate way. Then you canpractice what you are learning about God. Dr. Towns used to say, “Theology thatdoesn't teach you how to daily live for God is not good theology.” I have neverforgotten that. Ialso recommend Andrew Murray's ‘God's Best Secrets', a book God has usedgreatly in my life, along with works associated with Watchman Nee, such as ‘TheJoyful Heart' and ‘Table in the Wilderness'. E. M. Bounds also has a one-minutedevotional, ‘The Power of Prayer', that is excellent for daily reading—I stilluse it today. Inaddition, I take time to read Robert J. Morgan's ‘On This Day'. It highlightssomething that happened on that particular day in history—often involving agiant of the faith, someone God used mightily, or someone who even gave theirlife as a martyr for Christ. Reading their stories encourages me andstrengthens my faith. Myfriend, we need all the help we can get in a world that is constantlybombarding us with lies. We need the truth. We need time with wise men andwomen—and we can do that through the books they have left behind. They havepoured their lives, their faith, and their thoughts into those pages for us.

Even John the beloved disciple must first have a sight of his eternal Lord that shattered him o the dust. Only such a sight creates warriors. Not till we see him thus are we equipped for conflict. For Christ is the answer to all our questions. Get clear first about him, and we shall know about 'things to come.' He is the risen and victorious King of Kings. In this final episode of Nancy's reading from Chapter 12 of The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee, she closes with a deeply personal and piercing reflection on what it means to live in the continual light of God. The Father isn't satisfied with outward strength, talent, or good works—He is after the source. Through the “flash” of His light, He exposes what is still powered by self and reveals what must come fully under the government of His Spirit. Nancy reminds us that the cross doesn't just deal with obvious sin but also with the subtle independence of the soul—the self-driven good that still resists full dependence on the Father. This is a call to ongoing surrender, to invite the Spirit's continual illumination, and to allow the Father to express His life through us without mixture or striving. Thanks for Listening! In today's episode, Nancy continues reading Chapter 12 of The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee, diving into the section titled “Natural Energy in the Work of God.” This powerful reading confronts one of the most subtle dangers in Christian life—relying on our natural gifts, talents, or intellect to do spiritual work, rather than depending wholly on the life of Christ within. It's not about what we can do for God, but about whether what we do originates from Him. Nancy invites us to ask: Are we simply changing the subject of our interests, or have we truly shifted the source of our power? This is a call to stop relying on soul strength and instead allow the cross to bring death to what is merely natural, so resurrection life can flow. The episode is a strong call to discern the origin of our energy and let God's light search us—because only what begins in Him will remain. Thanks for Listening! Sermon Summary — Zechariah: Session 3 Text: Zechariah 3–4 Theme: “Not by Might, Nor by Power, but by My Spirit” Speaker: Pastor Matthew Robbins (LWWC) 1. Opening and Ministry Update Pastor opened with thanksgiving: in just six days, 32 new nations began listening to the church's broadcast — evidence that God's Word is reaching the world. Prayer emphasized the importance of being “found in the Word, following the Word, and structuring our lives around the Word.” Transitioned into Zechariah 3, explaining the historical background: The people of Israel had returned from Babylonian exile. The prophets Haggai, Zechariah, and Nehemiah encouraged them to rebuild the temple and walls of Jerusalem. 2. The Ark and God's Faithfulness Pastor recalled the history of the Ark of the Covenant, which never changed — from Moses to David to Solomon — symbolizing God's unchanging nature. He shared conviction from the Holy Spirit: the original Ark still exists and will one day reappear when Israel rebuilds the temple. Israel has reportedly reconstructed priestly garments and temple furnishings, preparing for restoration. Key lesson: God never changes; His covenant stands forever. When the Ark reappears, it will be a global sign of God's faithfulness and sovereignty. 3. Joshua the High Priest and Filthy Garments (Zechariah 3) Vision: Joshua the high priest stands before the angel of the Lord while Satan accuses him. Joshua is clothed in filthy garments, symbolizing human sin and unworthiness — even a priest cannot stand clean before God on his own. God rebukes Satan and commands that Joshua's filthy garments be removed and replaced with rich robes and a clean turban marked “Holiness to the Lord.” Meaning: God removes iniquity and clothes His people with righteousness. Salvation is not self-earned — “We can't clean ourselves; the Lord must do it.” Application: Many people say, “I'll fix myself before I come to God.” Pastor rebuked this thinking: “You don't clean up to come to Jesus — you come to Jesus to be cleaned up.” 4. The Branch — Jesus Revealed The angel declares: “I am bringing forth My servant, the Branch.” This is a prophecy of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who removes iniquity “in one day.” That “one day” refers both to: Israel's restoration (1948 — national prophecy fulfilled in a day). Christ's crucifixion, where sin was forgiven once for all. Through Christ, believers are clothed in righteousness — the Old Testament points directly to Jesus. 5. The Vision of the Lampstand and Olive Trees (Zechariah 4) Zechariah sees a golden lampstand (menorah) with seven lamps and two olive trees beside it. The angel explains: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.” Zerubbabel, a descendant of David, was leading the rebuilding of the temple. Meaning: Human effort cannot accomplish God's work — it is only through the Holy Spirit. “Some trust in chariots and horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord.” 6. Watchman Nee and the Broken Vessel Pastor shared insights from Watchman Nee's “The Release of the Spirit.” The alabaster box story illustrates that the value is not the vessel, but what's inside. The Holy Spirit must be released through a broken life. Our cleverness or intellect can block the Spirit's flow — we must depend fully on God's Word and Spirit. True ministry touches the spirit, not merely the emotions or intellect. Key quote: “If I only tell stories but don't use the Word of God, I'm touching your soul, not your spirit.” 7. The Capstone and the Mountain God tells Zerubbabel: “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.” Symbolic of God leveling obstacles through grace and power. “He shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace!'” The capstone (or chief cornerstone) represents Christ, the head and completion of all things. Pastor drew connections to Egypt's pyramids and ancient symbolism, explaining how the “capstone” points to unity under Christ — “the head of the body.” 8. The Two Olive Trees — Moses and Elijah The two olive trees represent the two anointed ones who “stand beside the Lord.” Pastor identified them as Moses and Elijah — symbols of the Law and the Prophets. These two appear repeatedly: On the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17). As the two witnesses in Revelation 11, prophesying during the tribulation. Moses' body was divinely preserved; Elijah was taken up without dying — both return to testify of Christ's glory. Their ministries align perfectly with Revelation's description: Elijah shuts up the heavens (no rain). Moses turns water to blood and releases plagues. 9. The Word Deposited in Us Pastor closed with a powerful exhortation: Reading and hearing Scripture is like making spiritual deposits. The Holy Spirit later draws from what you've stored. “The Holy Spirit goes to your bank account — make sure there's something in it.” God's Word feeds the spirit, not just the mind. “You don't have to retain everything — just keep putting it in. The Holy Spirit will bring it out when it's needed.” 10. Final Exhortation God's Word must govern us — not the other way around. Pastor concluded with this charge: “Don't come to the Bible trying to make it fit you. Come to it and fit yourself to it.” Closing prayer asked that the Word of God come alive, ignite prayer, and make believers a light in their generation. Key Themes God's unchanging faithfulness (the Ark). Cleansing through Christ alone. Ministry through the Spirit, not human might. The prophetic unity of the Law and the Prophets fulfilled in Jesus. Living by the Word — daily deposits of truth.

Have you ever felt like you had to earn your worth—your place, your purpose, even your salvation? This message from Ephesians 2 is a reminder that you don't have to earn what God gives freely. We look at the story of Watchman Nee, who gave his life for the gospel, and how God's grace made him—and makes us—alive, raised up, and seated with Christ. In a world that rewards performance, God offers grace first. No proving. No striving. Just receiving. And then He invites us into a life of good work—not to get saved, but because we are saved. If you've been struggling to believe you're enough or wondering what your purpose is, this message is for you.
