You've seen him in The Good Wife, The People vs OJ and on stage in Bridges of Madison Country and most recently The American Son with Kerri Washington. But the twitterverse knows him best as a fiery fierce resistor. In a no holds barred conversation, we discuss the decline in our democratic ideals, the breakdown of the republic, racial inequality and 2020. I've long admired Steven for his work on the screen, but it's his dedication and passion to improving our country that most impressed me. Oh and he totally shamed me when we discussed musicals, but I'll allow it. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

On today's Satellite Sisters, Lian, Monica, Julie and Liz tackle the world including: Julie's Star Wars report - Sending off three generations of her family in Dallas to see the new movie The Force Awakens complete with young Benjamin in his Storm Trooper costume. Liz reports on going to see Sisters starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler at one of those fancy dine-in theaters.  It reminded her a little too much of being on an airplane (recliner. tray, movie - you know the drill) but otherwise a good time was had by all.  Most of all she enjoyed the trailers before the movie, tipping her off to new funny movies by and about women for release in 2016.   Coming right up, How To Be Single with Dakota Johnson, Alison Brie, Leslie Mann and Rebel Wilson. Next, you can look forward to My Big Fat Creek Greek Wedding 2.  You go, Nia Vardalos Finally, are you looking forward to The Boss? Another hilarious-looking turn by Melissa McCarthy about the wealthiest woman in the world who gets sent to prison for insider trading.  When she gets out, she's got plenty to prove. "Nuff said. Monica had a series of unfortunate events that were car-related, weather-related and include words that are always funny together:  "locked out" and "in pajamas." Liz has a "Ship of Fools" installment.  Yes, people, it can get worse in her building. You have to the find comedy in sewage backups. Lian recommends steering clear of the play "Bridges of Madison Country". Who knew it was a musical?  Well, some things are just not meant to be.  Plus, she has kudos for the Satellite Sisters fans in Manhattan Beach, the staff at Book Soup at LAX, soccer icon Abby Wambach and tennis badass/Sports Illustrated Athlete of the Year Serena Williams.  We love the annual neologisms list from The Washington Post. Are you going to enjoy?  Probsolutely.  For your holiday listening pleasure, we will be posting more "You're the Best" Encore interviews at www.satellitesisters.com.
