Tric and Heppa pay the dwarves of Untdunben another visit. Scene 13 Scene 14 Scene 15 Scene 16 GM Notes There are no trains in the Battle for Wesnoth video game, at least not any of the campaigns I've played. So why do these dwarves have a train? Well, while contemplating this rematch with the dwarves of Untdunben, I rolled on the Mythic GM Emulator's event meaning tables for inspiration and got Develop and Vehicle. Mining tracks are well-established in the video game, so I decided they weren't all for carts—some were for trains. Oh, and if you're interested in the songs that you heard snippets of from Tric's player, one was On the Railroad by The Longest Johns (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udICE0keewk), and the other was an American folk song called Red Iron Ore. We like the version performed by Bob Gibson (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbt6_gmAfqE). Our character art by Del Borovic and the map we refer to (by me!) can be found here. Hello everyone and welcome back once again to another exciting episode of Ironsworn: Starforged here on the One Guy One Roll Podcast! Having left the last episode on a bit of a cliffhanger, as I always tend to do, I was just as intrigued as y'all to see what was going to happen to Nikora and his crew. Taking the time out of your busy schedules to listen to the podcast is all I can ask for and I hope you enjoy listening. Per usual, the following paragraph will be a brief summary of what occurred during the episode and will likely contain spoilers. So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Episode 40 kicks off Nikora's last memory of Zari Shin, the original captain of the Second Chance and Nikora's friend and mentor who taught him the way of the ‘honorable' scavenger. Zari has established something of an outpost on an unnamed and unsurveyed jungle planet far out in a region of the Forge known as the Expanse. Although they had been wildly successful in their endeavors, they had awoken some sort of ancient biomechanical entity simply known as the Remnants. This malevolent force razed their hideout and left Nikora seemingly as the only sole survivor. Back aboard the derelict Asha's Tribute, Nikora had successfully deactivated the reactor core and was able to reestablish communication with the rest of the crew aboard the Second Chance. Unfortunately, Nikora is racing against the clock with his oxygen running low and only with some dumb luck and risky planning is there anyway that he can safely depart from the spaceship and not endanger the rest of his crew. Welcome back to this week's episode of the One Guy One Roll podcast! Once again we are diving back into Ironsworn: Starforged and the story of Nikora Sokolov and the rest of the crew aboard the Second Chance. With my schedule seemingly returning to normal, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to produce another episode so quickly! Thank you so much for listening to the podcast, y'all inspire me to continue on with this project. As always, the following paragraph will be a brief summary of what occurred during the episode and will contain some spoilers. So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. The introduction for episode 39 sees us back aboard the Second Chance with Petra deeply absorbed in her own thoughts. She seems to be having an internal debate about what to do with Subject A, especially now that the AI seems to be intrinsically interconnected with the computer of the Second Chance itself. Hours have passed by since Nikora left the Second Chance to venture aboard the derelict spacecraft and Petra begins to worry about him, knowing that his limited oxygen is likely beginning to run out. Onboard the derelict prospecting vessel, known as Asha's Tribute, Nikora is focused on his attempts to cut through a makeshift barricade. Unbeknown to him, a life and death struggle is about to erupt between him and the homicidal engineer who has managed to barely stay alive during the fungal infestation. Running out of time and with a limited supply of oxygen, Nikora is going to need all of his wits and combat training in order to survive. Welcome back my beautiful listeners to the One Guy One Roll podcast where I have had to take a little bit of a hiatus over the last month or so. As I have previously stated, it is always my intention to attempt publishing at least two episodes a month but due to work, a gaming convention and some personal family issues I have had to take a small break from the podcast. But with all of that resolved, I anticipate being able to return to the normal release schedule! Coming back to the podcast, I decided to return to where the whole thing started, Ironsworn: Starforged and the story of Nikora Sokolov aboard the Second Chance. Thank you so much for continuing to listen to the podcast and it feels great to be able to return to recording! The following paragraph will be a brief summary of what occurred during the episode and will contain some spoilers. So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Episode 38 kicks off with an audio log from First Officer James Savela of the prospecting spaceship Asha's Tribute, where Nikora is currently scavenging for supplies and equipment. This recording details what Nikora assumes to be the final words recorded in the Captain's Log (which is like a spaceship's black box). The contents of this log details the discovery of what brought this strange fungal material to the vessel and the murderous rampage of a member of the crew. It also points Nikora to an experiment conducted on the fungus which gives him a potential idea about how he might escape from this predicament. Having to overcome various obstacles while navigating the prospecting ship and becoming concerned about a certain familiar blinking red light, Nikora finds himself down on the engineering level in front of a makeshift barricade blocking off the reactor room. He needs access to this room in order to potentially execute his desperate plan… perhaps made even more desperate due to the fact that he might not be totally alone. Hello and welcome to the One Guy One Roll solo roleplaying podcast. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen as we continue the story of Ginjiro the Orphan using the wonderful Ronin RPG. Ginjiro the Orphan continues his wandering through the Sengoku-era Japanese countryside and has a couple of dangerous encounters throughout the episode and we even learn a little bit more about why he has undertaken this dangerous journey. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this episode and thank you so much! As always, thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Welcome back dear listeners to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Once again we are going to be playing the RPG Ronin, continuing the evolving story of Ginjiro the Orphan. Ginjiro is an ex-samurai who is wandering through the feudal Japanese countryside having all kinds of interesting encounters with different people and events. Although we have been taking a break from playing Ironsworn: Starforged over the last few episodes, do not worry! It is absolutely my intention to return to playing as Nikora, but I just needed to take a break from that story and try out a new RPG system which I had been greatly enjoying. Anyways, I hope that you enjoy listening to this episode of the One Guy One Roll podcast! As always, thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Good morning, afternoon or evening and welcome back to the One Guy One Roll solo RPG podcast! Today we are diving back into the story of Ginjiro the Orphan as we wander through the feudal Japanese countryside having interesting encounters and situations. As you might have noticed, I have decided to update the organization system for One Guy One Roll so it is a little bit easier for me to organize all of the content on the channel. Instead of One Shots being assigned Season 0, each different system is being given its own season. Much like after finishing Episode 1, I have nothing but positive opinions about the system and the stories you are able to create using it. Anyways, please sit back, relax and enjoy listening to this week's episode. As always, thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Welcome back my beautiful listeners to the One Guy One Roll podcast where I am currently playing Ironsworn: Starforged! As I have previously stated, it is always my intention to attempt publishing at least two episodes a month but it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with that self-imposed deadline. However, if I am able to do so I will be attempting to publish two episodes a month at least one as an absolute minimum. I appreciate everyone who continues to listen to every episode! Y'all are the reason I keep on doing this. The next paragraph will be a brief summary of what occurred during the episode and will contain some spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. The introduction to Episode 37 explores the idea of using stealth in space and how it is both something very easy to do given the massive distances involved but also difficult due to the excessive amounts of both heat and radiation expelled by spacecraft while operating in the void of space. Fortunately for the crew of the Second Chance, Tinker has been doing some modifications onboard which allows them to spend more time being stealthy than would be normal for their type of vessel. These enhancements allow them to escape from the skirmish they have been hiding from and are even able to make an interesting discovery that helps to shed more light on the ongoing conflict between the noble houses. Entering back into the Drift, the Second Chance reemerges in deep space nearby a raging energy storm. Nikora soon discovers that they are very much not alone as there appears to be some sort of derelict spaceship floating aimlessly nearby. Despite the protests from Petra, Nikora decides to investigate this strange derelict as they are very much in need of supplies. However, once onboard Nikora soon finds out that everyone is not as it seems… Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Hello everyone and welcome back to Ironsworn: Starforged here on the One Guy One Roll podcast! I know that once again we have had a break since the last episode, but I have been extremely busy with work and out of the country for the last two weeks. It is always my intention to keep publishing at least two episodes a month and things should smooth out a little bit more once we start heading into summer proper. If you missed the one shot I played using Artefact I highly recommend checking it out under Season 0 Episode 1 of One Guy One Roll One Shots. Per usual, the following paragraph is a brief summary of what occurred during the episode and will contain some spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Episode 36 begins with the internal struggle inside the electronic of the Second Chance between the VI Chance and the AI Subject A. The blurring of human and machine has become more and more absolute since Tinker connected Subject A to the Second Chance and removed the memory core from its unit. Since then, an electronic battle has been ongoing between these two entities. Although Chance held on for a while, Subject A with its ability to improvise and devise new strategies using its human brain was inevitably going to emerge victorious. However, Subject A is unlikely going to be the same after merging itself with the VI's code. After a discussion as a crew, Nikora was able to convince Petra that they need to find a safe anchorage in order to not only get some rest but also perform some much needed repairs to the Second Chance itself. Unfortunately, after just one jump through the Drift, they found themselves in the middle of a skirmish between two unknown combatants and were luckily able to hide the ship on the backside of a large rogue asteroid. Hello dear listeners and welcome back to the One Guy One Roll podcast! As always, I am your host, player, and GM Herocydides. I know we have had a bit of a break since I was able to produce the last episode, but I have been extremely busy with work and I am now officially going to be away from home for at least two weeks every month for work. My intention is to keep publishing at least two episodes a month as I am able and hopefully will even be able to squeeze out more than that. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen as we continue to explore the exciting universe of Ironsworn: Starforged. The next paragraph is a brief summary of what occurred during the episode and does naturally contain some spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Episode 35 starts off with a knife-like sleek black obsidian stealth spaceship. This small vessel is piloted but a single woman wearing an all black flight suit, simply adored with a single small patch. This patch is of a yellow knot on a simple green background. The bulk of the episode takes place on board the Second Chance as Nikora is finally able to get Petra to talk to him again, she has been furious with Nikora for giving the memory core of Subject A to Creed. This strengthening of their relationship together leads to Petra describing in great detail about her relationship with her noble house, her sister and why she is utterly determined to see the destruction of Subject A accomplished. We also discover a little bit more about the history of the Forge and the destructive relationships between the various noble houses. At the end of the episode Nikora and Petra finally decide on where they must proceed next and enter back into the Drift. Good morning, afternoon or evening and welcome to the One Guy One Roll podcast! On this solo RPG podcast I am your host, player, and GM specifically for your listening pleasure. As always, thank you so very much for taking the time to listen as we continue to explore the exciting universe of Ironsworn: Starforged. Per usual, the following paragraph is a brief summary of what occurred during this episode and contains some spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Episode 34 starts off in the middle of a ceremony being performed by a character we haven't seen on the show in a very, very long time. This Ceremony of Ascension is fundamental to the strange cult which is operating on Osseus. Having been able to gain the upper hand on his captor, Nikora finds himself outside of the room where this ceremony is being untaken. Unfortunately, the door has been barred and just as Nikora begins to formulate a new plan, he gets interrupted by a strange robed woman who appears to be in a hurry. After yet another awkward social ordeal, Nikora finds himself dangling precariously high above the ammonia processing facility as he attempts to reach the catwalks that interlace throughout the entire station. Devoid of strength, energy and lacking the will to continue, Nikora nonetheless is able to finally confront Creed and have a conclusion to the very first Iron Vow sworn way back in Episode 0 of the podcast. Heppa hangs out with the White Mage Rhaessa learning about human healing magic. Meanwhile, Tric chats with Dame Terwaen of the Horse Clans, with whom he has more in common than he expected. Scene 6 Scene 7 Scene 8 GM Notes The NPC Ulf suddenly sprung into existence in this arc. At the start of this episode, you hear us establish some things about him with 69: Ruin and 2: Dreams. That is us consulting the Event Meaning Tables of the Mythic GM Emulator. The Action table is a set of one hundred verbs, and the Subject table is a set of one hundred nouns. I often roll 2d100 and consult these tables when planning for an upcoming session just to get some prompts for where the story might go. Hello dear listeners and welcome back to the One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast! Thank you so very much for taking the time to check out this new episode as we continue to follow the story of Nikora Sokolov as he and his crew aboard the Second Chance continue their expedition across the Forge. I hope you enjoy listening to episode 33 as much as I enjoyed recording it! The next paragraph is going to be a brief summary of what occurred during this episode and will contain spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Thank you very much! Episode 33 starts off with a sleep deprived Petra reflecting on her past as she watches over the floating brain and blank computer screen of the AI known as Subject A. After many sleepless days, her wandering mind thinks back to her childhood as she grew up alongside her twin sister Amari under the watch eye of their tutor, bodyguard and trainer, Mr. Daisuke. Something happened between the three of them that left Petra with the horrific burn scars that cover her face, neck and shoulder. Upon the industrial ammonia-processing settlement Osseus, Nikora awakes with his hands and feet bound and a screaming headache. After being released from his makeshift prison by a sickly man, Nikora dwells upon his situation and comes to the conclusion that he is likely going to be killed. He decides to take action in order to avoid this becoming a reality and comes up with yet another terrible Nikora plan that just might work out… and if it does he plans to confront the leader of the group who knocked him out and hopefully get some answers about the situation aboard the station. Good morning, afternoon, or evening and welcome back to the One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast! As always, thank you so very much for taking the time out of your busy day to tune into my weekly podcast. This episode we are continuing to follow the story of Nikora Sokolov as he and his crew aboard the Second Chance continue their expedition across the Forge. This episode was very fun to record and I hope that y'all enjoy it! As always, the next paragraph is going to be a brief summary of what occurred during this episode and will likely contain some spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, please skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. Episode 32 starts off with a scene between Nikora and Tinker discussing what might have happened between Subject A, the AI that Nikora recovered from Prosperity, and Chance, the VI aboard the Second Chance. It turns out that Tinker may have accidentally made a mistake that might end up leaving them stranded and drifting alone in the empty void of space. Petra is especially distraught about the news and insists on keeping an armed vigil over the floating brain computer. However, the other two crew members still are not sure why she has so much animosity against AI. FInally, after taking many months of wandering throughout the Forge, Nikora and the Second Chance finally arrive back on the Jovian planet Tyr and its solitary settlement of Osseus. It turns out that Osseus is run independently from both the guilds and the noble houses by a council of small corporations and powerful individuals who use the fact that Osseus is the only real source of ammonia in the Forge to this advantage. Our episode comes to a close with Nikora not so subtly asking around for someone that is skilled with memory cores and ending up in yet another bad spot because of it! Welcome back to the One Guy One Roll podcast of 2023! I hope that the end of the year festivities were wonderful and safe for everyone. As we come into the new year, I want to once again thank y'all so much for continuing to listen to the podcast and provide your support, none of this would be possible without it. Although this episode did end up being a little bit shorter than average, I do think that it very nicely sets up an exciting stage for future episodes! The next paragraph is going to be a quick summary of what occurred during episode 31 and may contain some mild spoilers! So if you wish to avoid being spoiled, feel free to skip it and continue on down to the last paragraph. This week's episode starts off with Tinker working away on Subject A's memory unit trying to figure out how to get the system back online in order to make a copy for Creed. This would finally allow Nikora to finish his very first Iron Vow sworn back in episode 0! However, Tinker ends up leaving the Second Chance in order to enter Chuo, the primary settlement on the water world of Aoi, in order to secure some additional parts he needs to complete this project. Unbeknown to him, something insidious may be taking place aboard the Second Chance in his absence. Already high up inside the towering dome, walking amongst the various tiered greenhouses and other gardens of Chuo, Nikora and Petra are able to successfully negotiate completing some odd jobs and using what little credits they have left to secure some supplies and much needed fuel for continuing the journey. Finally, after a couple of days and with the massive yearly Tsunami wave barreling down towards Chuo, the crew returns to the Second Chance to discover that Tinker may in fact have been successful in his tinkering, perhaps too successful… Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Given the nail biting events of last episode, I am very happy that we have been able to make it to Episode 30 with Nikora Sokolov and the Second Chance. Thank you so much for the continued support and listening to the podcast none of this would be possible without all of your support. As always, the next paragraph is going to be a quick summary of what occurred during this episode and may contain some mild spoilers, so feel free to avoid being spoiled, I'd recommend skipping to the last paragraph! Episode 30 kicks off with Nikora and Petra sharing a moment together as they nurse the various cuts and bruises they had previously suffered and discuss what they might be able to do about Subject A and having to return its memory core to Creed. They decide that there is little they can do without reaching some kind of anchorage with a settlement. Once the Second Chance drops out of the drift, they find themselves orbiting around a brilliantly blue water planet. At first they assume that the planet is uninhabited, but are soon contacted by someone claiming to be the harbormaster of a settlement called Chuo. Descending down to the planet they soon learn that all is not as it seems, there's a massive looming threat barreling down towards Chuo which is caused by the massive moon orbiting slowly around the planet. A clock is ticking for Nikora and the Second Chance if they want to get resupplied and refueled in time and depart from this strange blue world. Good morning, afternoon, or evening and welcome back to the solo roleplaying podcast One Guy One Roll! We have been exploring the story of Nikora Sokolov using the Ironsworn: Starforged system and I can hardly believe we are already on Episode 29. This episode starts off with our entire ship in a really bad spot and is the closest we have been to losing our character since starting the series! Thank you so much for the support and continuing to listen to the podcast, y'all are seriously rockstars. Per usual, the following paragraph is going to be a quick summary of what occurred during this episode and will contain spoilers, so feel free to skip it if you wish to remain entirely spoiler free! At the beginning of the episode we are thrown immediately right back into a dangerous situation involving the strange precursor satellite orbiting around an icy world that is criss-crossed with deep canyons. This strange object, which was first changing its shape into different geometric shapes, has become a pyramid that appears to be absorbing the sunlight from this system's distant star, which is charging some sort of crystalline power source deep within the structure. When this dangerous death laser is fully charged, it unleashes a powerful beam of energy towards the Second Chance, which Nikora is barely able to avoid using all of the available thrust and maneuverability of the old space trucker. Knowing that taking a direct hit from this deadly weapon would spell the end of the Second Chance and all of those aboard, Nikora comes up with a crazy plan involving Petra, who he is barely able to convince to join with him. Will this crazy half-baked plan work? Or will the story of Nikora and the Second Chance come to an explosive end in this episode? Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Your continued interest keeps me motivated to continue to produce content. Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo roleplaying podcast! I am thrilled to be able to keep producing additional episodes for y'all and hope to continually be able to do so for the time being. Episode 28 really ended up in a different place than I had been expecting it to do so. Thank you so much for the support and continuing to download and listen to the podcast. The next paragraph is going to be a quick summary of what occurred and will contain some small spoilers, so feel free to skip it if you wish to remain entirely spoiler free! The episode begins with an introduction to the current political shenanigans going on between at least two of the noble houses. This conflict will likely have a negative impact throughout the Forge especially this small skirmish descends into all out war. Back aboard the Second Chance, Nikora gets reunited with an old friend of his thanks to Tinker as they set off towards Creed, who is located on the other side of the Cososus Flow. At the conclusion of their first jump, the ship ends up in orbit around a new planet with a strange satellite that defies explanation and seems to bend their understanding of physics. Petra then enlightens Nikora about the Precursors who inhabited this part of the galaxy before the arrival of humanity. Our episode comes to an end with a sunrise that appears to be awakening something ominous inside of the strange structure. Once again dear listeners, welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo roleplaying podcast! As I mentioned in the previous episode, I should be able to hopefully keep producing new episodes for y'all to enjoy in more regular intervals. I am thrilled to be able to produce additional content and had a great time recording this episode. Thank you so much for the support and continuing to enjoy the podcast even while I was out of town! As always, the next paragraph is going to be a summary of the episode which will contain some small spoilers, you have officially been warned so skip it if you wish to avoid these spoilers. Episode 27 continues where the last one left off, with Nikora, Petra, and Zoya under a mesmerizing mental assault from a strange serpentine creature down on the long ago abandoned planet of Gris. This creature grows by consuming the thoughts and especially the emotions of those around it, it does not have a mouth or any other orifices. Over the course of the rest of that day, the away team from the Second Chance became mental food for the creature. Luckily, Nikora is a stubborn man with a powerful will and who is the only one who has a chance to fight back against this kind of mental attack. This creature's bones also contain the specific alchemical ingredient that the UPC (Union of Practice Chirurgeons) exploratory vessel was looking for. If Nikora and the rest of the crew can manage to break free from the creature, they will be able to successfully complete the Iron Vow which was sworn to the captain of the UPC vessel. Once again dear listeners, it has been far too long since I've been able to produce a podcast. But let me welcome y'all back to One Guy One Roll, the solo roleplaying podcast! It has been an extremely busy couple of months for me and I have really missed making episodes following the story of Nikora Sokolov aboard the Second Chance. For the time being, I am back from training and should be able to dedicate more time to the podcast. In fact, I would likely have been able to record a couple of additional podcasts, but unfortunately my old potato computer finally decided to crap out. Fortunately, I had backups of most of my important data including content for this podcast. I am super excited to finally be back home and able to hopefully produce content more regularly for your listening pleasure. Thank you so much for the support and continuing to enjoy the podcast every while I have been out of town, it really does mean a lot to me. As always, the next paragraph is going to be a summary of the episode which will contain some spoilers so if you wish to avoid being spoiled please skip the remainder of this paragraph! Last episode we were finally able to disembark from the Aegis Hold, a Brotherhood of Steel stronghold. However, Nikora has just under two years to discover the source of various raids upon the system or else the dangerous Lieutenant Slater will be tasked with hunting him down and bringing him to justice! After completing a blind jump into the Drift, the Second Chance encountered an exploratory vessel belonging to the Union of Practice Chirurgeons (UPC), the medicae guild. This vessel has been tasked with tracking down the various ingredients needed by the UPC for their various tinctures and other remedies. The captain of this vessel recruited the Second Chance to investigate whether a nearby planet has a specific type of organic substance they have come to this system to collect. The captain even appointed a member of the UPC named Zoya to accompany Nikora on their planetary expedition. This strange planet simply named Gris ends up being quite different than anything we have encountered on this show yet, and amongst the towering ruins that dot the dusty landscape… perhaps not everything is as dead or quiet as it would otherwise seem. It has been a long time, but welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo roleplaying podcast! I have really missed making episodes of Ironsworn: Starforged and I am glad that I was able to find the time to do so. As y'all are aware, I recently started a new job and have been out of town training over the last month and have not had access to my computer or recording equipment. Luckily, I have been able to come back home for about a week and thus I have been able to get this episode recorded and edited. Unfortunately, I still have three more weeks of training to accomplish so I will be heading back out of town again until early November. Thank you so much for the support and continuing to listen to the podcast every while I have been out of town, it really does mean a lot to me. As always, the next paragraph is going to be a summary of the episode which will contain some small spoilers. If you wish to avoid being spoiled just skip this paragraph! Since it has been such a long time since our last episode, we began with a lengthy recap of the whole season in order to get back into the story of Nikora Sokolov, Petra, and the Second Chance. We also got the chance to see what Creed, the first person we swore the Iron Vow to back in Episode 0, has been doing this time. Back aboard the Brotherhood of Steel controlled Aegis Hold, Nikora learns that his trial has been scheduled to occur in almost two years! This length of time is unacceptable to him, so he comes up with a plan to get himself, Petra, and the mechanic Tinker out of this situation. After a deposition, Nikora is forced to swear another Iron Vow and is finally able to leave the Aegis Hold, although he now owes yet another vow, and this one has a time limit on it. Our episode comes to close with the Second Chance making yet another blind jump into Drift space, where yet more adventure awaits our ragtag band of misfits! Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Your continued interest keeps me motivated to continue to produce and edit content for y'all to enjoy. Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo roleplaying podcast. Episode 24 of Ironsworn: Starforged was a little bit slower paced than the last few episodes but it was still quite fun to record. Just so everyone is aware, I am going to be heading out of town for the next three weeks for training. I recently started a new job and training begins next week. I will not have access to my computer or recording equipment during this time so the podcast will be on hiatus. I will definitely be back in September so stay tuned for more content then. Thank you so much for the support y'all continue to provide, it really does mean a lot to me. This next paragraph is going to be a summary of the episode, which as always will contain some light spoilers. If you wish to avoid being spoiled just skip this paragraph! Our first scene begins with Nikora staring at an unfamiliar ceiling, he is currently being held in Brotherhood of Steel accommodations which are serviceable but not comfortable. After getting a chance to relax and recover from his wound and get the bare minimum of supplies needed for a jump from the Brotherhood, Nikora manages to convince Lieutenant Eren Slater that he needs to procure some electrical components in order to fix up the Second Chance. She begrudgingly agrees to escort him through the settlement and even allow Petra to stay behind and catch up on some well deserved rest. After a brief tour of the Aegis Hold, they arrive at an informal bazaar where contract workers can buy and sell luxury products and other things not available in the official stores. Here Nikora manages to meet a worn down older man who goes by Tinker. Tinker used to be a contract engineer for the Brotherhood and is willing to join Nikora aboard the Second Chance as long as he does something for him first. Heppa, Tric, and Kachen find a necromancer's staff but are set upon by other denizens of the swamp. Scene 8Scene 9 GM Notes At the end of this episode, you hear me once again review with my players what they and their characters are interested in doing. This was a technique I picked up from the Mythic GM Emulator. When playing with that, you specifically keep track of story threads, adding new ones to the list when they crop up and crossing them off when they are resolved. I find it a helpful practice particularly at the start of a new campaign, when everyone is getting used to their new characters and a new world. Welcome to One Guy One Roll, where I am host, play, and GM roleplaying games for your listening pleasure. This is episode 23 of Ironsworn: Starforged where I am playing Nikora Sokolov aboard the Second Chance. It has been an eventful last couple of episodes and I have been having a blast recording them for y'all. Luckily, it's starting to feel like I am finally catching up on the podcast and once again I apologize for the length of time between episodes recently. Thank you so much for all the amazing support you continue to provide, it really means a lot to me. This next paragraph is going to be a summary of episode 22, which will contain some light spoilers. I recommend skipping this paragraph if you wish to avoid being spoiled! The episode begins with a flashback of Nikora as a kid growing up down in the slums surrounded by towering guild halls. The destitute, starving boy often had to dumpster dive, an illegal activity, in order to survive, which often led to severe punishments. After the introduction, we learn a little bit more about the Brotherhood of Steel and how they operate within the Forge. This leads directly into Lieutenant Eren Slater of the BoS entering into the Second Chance, searching the ship and conducting an interrogation of Nikora, specifically asking about Subject A. After successfully engaging in some smooth talking, Nikora gets the Lieutenant to agree to escort them to the Aegis Hold proper where they can get the spaceship fixed up, take on some supplies, and hopefully even fix Chance. Unfortunately for the Lieutenant, the colonel in charge of the Aegis Hold is furious that she allowed this potential breach of security to occur and assigns her to be personally responsible for escorting Nikora and Petra around the station and ensuring they don't get up to any funny business. Our episode comes to a close with the three of them leaving the Second Chance as massive docking clamps are being installed on the landing gear in order to prevent them from leaving. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the One Guy One Roll podcast! Your continued interest keeps me motivated to continue to produce and edit content for y'all to enjoy. Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast. I am Herocydides and currently playing Nikora Sokolov using Ironsworn: Starforged. This is Episode 22 and I hope that y'all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it. We have been experiencing rolling brownouts over the last week due to record heat, so I have been attempting to get this episode published for the last couple days and I am super excited to finally be able to accomplish that. Thank you so much for all the amazing support you continue to provide! It really means a lot to me and continues to inspire me! As usual, this paragraph is going to be devoted to a summary of the episode which will likely contain some light spoilers. If you wish to avoid being spoiled, I recommend skipping this paragraph! The episode begins with a distant observation of Petra's mother who is making antagonistic plans with someone who used to be very close with Petra. Back aboard the Second Chance, Nikora and Petra are being escorted by two snub fighters back to their base which Petra believes will be a death sentence for them and the Second Chance. Nikora comes up with a crazy plan that could potentially end up with the complete destruction of the spaceship in a giant fireball. Luck seems to be on Nikora's side, until he ends up stumbling across some independent miners illegally harvesting minerals from the planetoids in this system. Suddenly, a Brotherhood of Steel (mercenary guild) corvette arrives and the non-complainant miners attempt to flee but get totally annihilated by the heavily armed spaceship. Just as the episode comes to a close, Nikora and Petra get spotted by the BoS and are told to prepare for boarding. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the podcast! Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast where we are currently playing through episode 21 of Ironsworn: Starforged. I have been having an absolute blast continuing to create content for this series and I hope that y'all enjoy listening to me as much as I enjoy creating it. The amazing support of all my listeners continues to inspire me! This next paragraph is going to be a summary of the episode which may contain some spoilers. If you wish to avoid these, simply skip this paragraph! The episode start off with a flashback to a decimated world with Nikora and Zari performing the difficult and draining task of stripping crashed spaceships of their useful salvage. This planet, now known simply as Armageddon, was an important location during a struggle between two of the nobles houses in which the atmosphere and planets surface was devastated. This horrific catastrophe led to the nuclear disarmament of the entire Forge. Back in the present time, Nikora and Petra manage to successfully enter into the Drift and arrive at Aegis Hold. Nikora believes they should be able to clandestinely enter into the settlement, repair and re-equip the Second Chance, and escape before being identified by the Brotherhood of Steel Guild which controls it. Unfortunately, the Second Chance is spotted almost immediately upon entering into the system be a group of snub fighters. This group of individuals are flying an incorrect coat of arms for one of the noble houses and it is clear that they aren't Brotherhood of Steel members either. Both Nikora and Petra seem to think that something strange is going on here... however neither are quite sure exactly what that is yet. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the podcast! Welcome to Episode 20 of Ironsworn: Starforged here on One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast. I am still falling a little bit behind my intended schedule of producing two episodes a week, but I am doing my best to keep the content rolling! I had a great time making this week's episode and I hope that y'all enjoy it as well. Your continued support means so much and continues to inspire me! As always, the second paragraph is going to be a summary of the episode which may contain minor spoilers. If you wish to avoid being spoiled, simply skip down to the next paragraph! During the intro scene of this episode, we get a brief introduction to a new character who is being approached by the Chondrite (Spacers) Guild in a dust bar located on a dying planet. When we last left Nikora aboard the Second Chance, he was about to enter the reactor room and attempt to restart the reactor using a borrowed power core from the skiff, Fatty. Luckily, Nikora is able to enter the room with no issues and hopefully is able to restore power to the spaceship without getting fired by radiation. After falling asleep at the controls, Nikora and Petra end up inside of an asteroid belt where the Second Chance, seemingly never able to get a break, gets pounded by some rouge chunks of rock and hopefully doesn't break apart! The episode comes to a close with Petra and Nikora having a serious conversation together over the last bowl of Vita-Pro where we learn that Petra really might be starting to develop a soft spot for our protagonist. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the podcast! Your continued interest keeps me motivated to continue to produce and carefully edit each and every episode for your listening pleasure. If you enjoy listening to One Guy One Roll and wish to help me keep the podcast ad-free, I have provided a link to my Patreon page! I am incredibly appreciative to those of you who have decided to contribute already and if you wish to join the Solo Roleplaying Guild, head on over and check it out. Welcome back to the solo RPG podcast One Guy One Roll! I had a really great time producing Episode 19 and I hope that y'all enjoy it as well. Luckily, I was able to find the time this week in order to produce a second episode, and I am hoping to be able to continue to do into the future. However, I am starting a new job in two months and it requires six week of training halfway across the country. My plan is to try and record enough episodes in advance so I can continue to release them while I am out of town. Your continued support means so much and inspires me to continue to create new episodes! This paragraph is going to continue a summary of the episode. If you wish to avoid being spoiled, simply skip down to the next paragraph! The episode starts off with a rare moment of contemplation for Nikora, who rarely had the time for this kind of introspection. However without power or gravity, the Second Chance is tumbling uncontrollably towards the night-side of the fiery planet below. A low level of oxygen is the primary issue for Nikora and Petra, who is in a medically induced coma. Nikora needs to ration what little amount he has left and performs some important calculations in order to see if he has enough. The night-side of the planet should be insulated from the chaotic energies which crippled the spaceship leaving it tumbling through the void. After getting a chance to detail a little bit more of the ship's layout, Nikora comes up with a crazy plan that just might work. Down in the 'box,' Nikora's skiff 'Fatty' has a power cell that might just be the ticket they need to get out of this dire situation. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the episode! Your continued interest keeps me motivated to continue to produce and edit content, which takes about twice as long as the actual recording. If you enjoy listening to One Guy One Roll and wish to help me keep the podcast ad-free, I have provided a link to the Patreon page. I am incredibly appreciative to those of you who have decided to contribute already. Comments, suggestions, or praise is always appreciated! Take care and stay safe out there y'all. Good morning, afternoon, or evening and welcome to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast. I am super excited to announce that this is officially the 20th episode I have released for the podcast! It really feels like a big milestone and I certainly intend to make hundreds more. Things have luckily begun to stabilize a little bit in my personal life and I am hopefully going to be able to return to releasing episodes twice a week instead of just once. As always, thank you very much for listening to the podcast! Your continued support means everything to me. As usual, the next paragraph is going to be devoted to a summary of Episode 18, so if you wish to avoid any potential spoilers, just skip down to the next paragraph! Something lurks within the lower levels of the Second Chance, something that was not invited aboard the spaceship, something that does not belong in our reality. This strange 'alien' creature appears to have been drawn toward them in order to drain all the energy aboard the craft, including that of Nikora and Petra. The two of them end up facing off against the strange translucent creature as Petra manages to arm herself with an unconventional weapon and Nikora always has his trusty shotgun 'Stubbs' nearby. Most of the rest of the episode is devoted to determining the outcome of this dangerous encounter with the strange creature, of which you will have to listen to the podcast in order to determine the outcome! Our episode finally comes to a close with Nikora once again having to make tough decisions due a lack of oxygen and being forced to redefine his sworn vow to Petra in order to convince her to go along with his plan. Thank you so very much for taking the time to listen to the episode! Everyone's continued interest and support helps to keep me inspired to create new content despite real life having been a little chaotic over the last couple months. As always, if you enjoy listening to One Guy One Roll and wish to help support the podcast, head on over to the Patreon page and check it out! I know I have said before that I intend to keep this power ad-free and with the generous support of my patrons, this is becoming a reality. Hello friends! Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast where I Herocydides play solo roleplaying games for your listening pleasure. I really appreciate all of you taking the time to give this podcast a listen. I am sorry for the length of time that has passed between being able to produce my last episode and now, but life has been crazy and I have been picking up additional days at work in order to cover those days which I missed due to having Covid. My plan is still to keep trying to release episodes twice a week, but I may be able to only keep up with one a week for the time being. This next paragraph is going to be devoted to an overview of the episode, so if you wish to avoid any potential spoiler, just skip to the next paragraph! Episode 17 starts off with a little bit of unforeseen aid coming for Nikora and Petra in the form on old navigation buoy which is been converted into a transmission beacon issuing a warming about this planet, Effigy. Basically, being exposed to the volatile energy storms on the day-side of the planet drains the electrical systems of any ship caught here that can be potentially avoided or even reversed on the night-side of the planet. Learning this, they attempt to reroute enough power from nonessential furnishing and almost manage to make their way to the night-side of the planet when they are caught in a massive energy tendril from the planet and are left drifting aimlessly through space without any power. Stuck in a dire situation, Nikora and Petra successful manage to navigate the zero-G aboard the space ship and don their spacesuits when they are suddenly ambushed by a new 'friend' who is aboard the Second Chance. Thank you so very much for taking the time to check out the One Guy One Roll podcast! Everyone's continued interest and support helps to keep me motivated and inspired to produce additional episodes and content. If you enjoy listening and wish to help support the podcast, head on over to the One Guy One Roll Patreon page and check it out! A link is available down below. Hello friends! Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast where I Herocydides, your player, host and GM. As always, I really appreciate all of you taking the time to give this podcast a listen. As a side note, both the wife and I got Covid-19 and I have managed to work my way through the backlog of episodes I had previously recorded. My plan is to keep releasing videos twice a week, but it may take a little bit of time to record and edit enough content in order to do so. Anyways, this next paragraph is going to be devoted to an overview of episode 16, so if you wish to avoid those just skip the rest of this paragraph! The episode starts with a short scene where we get to learn a little bit more about Petra's background and what she was doing on the space station Prosperity to begin with. We then snap back to the current situation aboard the Second Chance, what Petra is doing down in the 'box," Nikora's cargo container. It turns out that Petra knows a little bit more about what Subject A is and has a rather dramatic opinion about what must be done with the AI. After some smooth talking, Nikora manages to talk down Petra but swearing a vow and the relationship between the two of them grows even closer. This episode comes to a close with the crew making another jump through the Drift and end up at a strange new fiery planet that is enveloped with strange crackling blue energy. Hello dear listeners and welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen! As always, spoilers for episode 15 and if you wish to avoid them, just skip the rest of this paragraph. Our episode begins with a character we haven't seen for a long time looking out from the bridge of their powerful cruiser as our 'heroes' blind jump into the Drift. This risky maneuver not only puts them at risk, but also the Second Chance itself. Whenever you enter the Drift, you feel like you are being squished and pulled apart at the same time, and then there are the waking dreams... During our time in the Drift, Nikora and Petra get to enjoy some of the Forge's finest spacefaring cuisine, courtesy of Vita-Pro "It's All You Need." When they finally drop out of the Drift, the Second Chance ends up in front of the first astronomical feature of the series, and it is hostile and completely devoid of life. Our episode comes to a close with a shocking cliffhanger that may completely change the social dynamic aboard the Second Chance. Thank you for taking the time to check out my podcast! Everyone's continued interest and support means so much to me. It keeps me motivated to keep producing more episodes. As a warning, there are spoilers ahead as I recap episode 14, if you wish to avoid them, just skip the rest of this paragraph! Our episode begins with falling through endless darkness as Nikora has run out of oxygen. Luckily, Nikora returned to the reactor core of the Prosperity and rescued Petra who is Nikora's only hope for survival and returning to the Second Chance alive. Back aboard the Second Chance, Petra get the privilege of attempting to deal with Chance, the obstinate VI aboard. Finally revived and ready to go, Nikora leads the way back to the bridge of the Second Chance where they end up seeing a major obstacle to their clean retreat from the Prosperity. The episode comes to an end with Nikora having to make the controversial decision to blind jump into the Drift.... with a 27% chance of a catastrophic failure. Thank you for listening! Good morning, afternoon or evening and welcome to the solo RPG podcast One Guy One Roll. I am currently playing Ironsworn: Starforged and I cannot believe that we are already on episode 13! Thank you so much for taking the time to give it a listen and as always, there are spoilers ahead as I recap the episode. If you wish to avoid them, just skip down to the second paragraph! Episode 13 begins with the cinematic arrival of a new spaceship to the orbit of Cicero, whether friend or foe, their arrival is likely to dramatically change the course of the story. Back inside the Prosperity, Nikora's oxygen has finally run out and he is now on an extremely limited reserve supply! After having an internal debate, Nikora decides that he simply cannot leave Petra to her horrible, slow death and decides to leave behind Subject A and attempts to make his way back to the maintenance section of the space station. Unfortunately, recovering Petra from the reactor core requires Nikora to do something he really did not want to do, but lacking time and alternatives he manages to free Petra. Unfortunately, Nikora is basically out of time when Petra comes up with an exciting alternative to the busted elevator in order for them to get down the shaft. Despite her initial shock and trepidation about Subject A, Nikora and Petra barely manage to get the computer secured when Nikora's vision starts to fade to black... Welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo RPG podcast where I am currently playing as Nikora Sokolov using Ironsworn: Starforged. Thank you so much for taking the time to give it a listen and be forewarned, there are minor spoilers ahead as I recap episode 12. If you wish to avoid them, just skip to the second paragraph! From there we return to Nikora as he gains access to the secured section of the research department where he discovers something he has never seen before or could have possibly imagined. This ancient relic seems to be exactly what Nikora has been searching the space station for and he is determined to remove it from the Prosperity and return it to the Second Chance. Our episode comes to an end with Nikora standing at the edge of the elevator shaft having an internal debate about what to do next as he remembers that Petra is still trapped inside of the reactor core. Hello y'all and welcome to the One Guy One Roll podcast where I am currently playing a solo game of Ironsworn: Starforged! Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and per usual, minor spoilers ahead as I recap episode 11 so skip to the next paragraph if you wish to avoid them. The episode starts off with us starting a new scene and rolling against our chaos rating and discussing a little bit about how this system works with the Mythic GM Emulator. From there we return to Nikora and explore a little bit more of the research section of the Prosperity including Dr. Bradley's room. Inside her room, Nikora discovers a reference to someone named Subject A in which Journeyman Sterling was getting impatient for results. Reading about the Journeyman Sterling triggers one of Nikora's memories in which we get to learn a little more about his relationship with the Spacers Guild. At the end of their new corridor, Nikora uses his newly acquired administrator ID and learns a new disturbing secret about what this station was doing research on and perhaps why the Spacer's Guild is interested in the Prosperity to begin with. Hello everyone and welcome back to the solo RPG podcast One Guy One Roll. Episode 7 begins with Nikora and his new... 'friend' in a tense standoff inside of the maintenance section of Prosperity. This burned and scarred woman seems quite resourceful and has managed to survive the difficulties aboard the station where almost all others have died. Since arriving at the Prosperity, Nikora's first objective has been to restore power. Upon arriving at the reactor core, there's an issue as always, and the episode comes to close on yet another exciting cliffhanger! As always thank you so much for listening! Every single one of you keeps me inspired to keep creating more ad-free content. If you enjoy the show and wish to join the solo RPG guild, head on over to my brand new Patreon page and give it look over. It is still very much a work in progress, but I assure you that plenty of content including early episode releases, behind-the-scenes insights, one-shots and more is being planned. Any and all comments or suggestions are encouraged! Further episodes will continue to be released once or twice a week as I am able to produce them around my busy work schedule. Have a great day y'all and stay safe out there. Good morning, afternoon or evening and welcome back to One Guy One Roll, the solo roleplaying podcast. Episode 6 begins with Nikora in a tight squeeze as me attempts to make his way into the maintenance section of the Prosperity. Whether or not he is successful depends on how well he can harness his inner spider. Unfortunately, the only living person we have encountered on the station was a little unstable... is there anyone else alive who isn't crazy? This episode finally comes to a close with an exciting twist that I can't wait to play out next time! As always thank you so much for listening, the support I have received so far from y'all is incredible! I can't believe that we have reached 500 unique downloads of the podcast. In light of this, I have decided to launch a Patreon campaign where you can buy me a cup of coffee each month as a way to support the show, which I intend to keep 100% completely ad-free. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Further episodes will continue to be released once or twice a week as I am able to produce them. Have a great day y'all and stay safe out there. Good morning, afternoon or evening and welcome back to the solo roleplaying podcast One Guy One Roll. Hard to believe we are already on episode 5 of Ironsworn: Starforged, where we are currently following the story of Nikora Sokolov aboard the space station Prosperity. This episode begins with a quick discussion about how the Mythic GM emulator works when introducing a new scene and the effect of chaos factor. After that, Nikora makes a gruesome discovery while exploring the trade center. This horrific discovery help us to uncover additional background information about the basic political structure of the forge. Leaving this section behind, Nikora returns back to the elevator shaft and makes an exciting discovery which brings him a little closer to resolving one of the major issues aboard the station, although earns himself a few new bruises in the process. As always thank you so much for continuing to listen to me ramble on for about 30 minutes twice a week. I can't wait to see what other kind of shenanigans Nikora can get up to as we continue to explore the Prosperity. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Further episodes will continue to be released once or twice a week as I am able to produce them. Have a great day y'all and stay safe out there. Welcome back to the One Guy One Roll podcast where we are currently on the 4th episode playing Ironsworn: Starforged. This episode opens with a quick discussion about the derelict space station Prosperity's backstory. After that, things really heat up as we get to have our first real encounter of the season! After this life and death encounter is resolved, Nikora continues to explore the rest of this section of the ship and we actually bring this episode to a close without being left on a major cliffhanger. As always I really enjoyed making this episode and cannot wait to come back and play more to discover what else awaits Nikora in this spooky place. Thank you so much listening and your continued support, it means a lot to me! Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Further episodes will continue to be released once or twice a week as I am able to produce them. Have a great day y'all and stay safe out there. Welcome back to Ironsworn: Starforged here on One Guy One Roll, where we continue to explore the story of Nikora Sokolov. Episode 3 begins with an brief overview and introduction to how derelicts actually work within Ironsworn: Starforged. After that, we continue to explore the seemingly abandoned space station and discover a means of navigating throughout the Prosperity. This allows us to uncover something that could radically our understanding of what happened here. Finally, after overcoming a physical task, we are able to access a new part of the station that we haven't had a chance to explore yet! I really enjoyed making this episode and the cliff hangers also keep me excited to come back and play more to discover what awaits Nikora. Once again, I can't thank you guys enough for listening and your continued support! Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Further episodes will continue to be released once or twice a week as I am able to produce them. Have a great day y'all and stay safe out there. To find an opponent's tactic for the round, roll 2D6 of the same colour and one of a different colour. If the single die comes up a 1, 2 or 3, continue the same tactic from the previous round. On a 4 or 5, total the two same-coloured dice and add Aggression, then pick from the Tactic table. If it shows a 6, roll it again and pick an action from the Twist table. As they take or inflict wounds, gain or lose the advantage in a fight, NPC opponents' Aggression will raise or lower. Experienced fighters will change only a small amount, while green, frightened or vengeful opponents will change more. Each time someone in the fight (either PC or NPC) suffers a setback, there should be a chance for Aggression to change. If the NPCs are nervous or demoralised, Aggression will drop when they suffer a setback and rise when a PC does. If they are angry or undisciplined, Aggression will rise when they suffer a setback and drop when a PC does. If you don't want to bother with Aggression, roll 3D6 for a tactic. Welcome aboard Dame Metropolis, the largest, most majestic cruise starship in the entire galaxy. During your stay with us, hobnob with the movers and shakers of the galaxy over lunch at the Imperial restaurant or mingle with elite society at a charity fund-raising gala. Relax on the sand in the Beach Zone or enjoy a vigorous swim in our sector-sized pool. Prefer the cold? Hit the slopes or ice rink at the Snowscape. Runners, there are plenty of places for you to get a workout, too! Cool down afterwards in the meditative gardens. The more scientifically-minded might enjoy a lecture from a resident professor or the stellar phenomena visible from the Observation Lounge. You younglings will be well-cared for in entertainment facilities that include a reconfigurable playground and a holo-park. Parents, leave them in our care while you get your shopping done on the Bazaar Deck. Any extra baggage can be stowed safely in our secure cargo holds. And don't forget to get a tour of the bridge from the captain! Our friendly staff will be on hand at all times to help you with any logistical, medical, or scheduling needs. Leave the concerns of the galaxy behind as you step aboard Dame Metropolis. Star Wars: Cruise Control is played using Fantasy Flight Games' Genesys and Star Wars roleplaying materials and the Mythic GM Emulator, set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. Background After completing our Star Wars: Resh Hour trilogy with the Mythic GM Emulator, my spouse and I batted around ideas for what other spin-off stories could be fun to tell in the expanded universe of our old Desert Rose Solutions campaign. Renci's and Renn's stories had run their course, having grown from NPCs to PCs in their own right. For a while we considered various other NPCs of the DRS campaign who could get upgraded to PCs. One idea I kept coming back to, though, was another adventure for Renci's girlfriend, JT (my spouse's PC in the original DRS crew). What would JT get up to following the intervention that Renci staged to get JT back on track after her Dark Side experiences? We knew from the close of the DRS campaign that JT had wanted to spend more time on a set of charities she had helped start, but how could we make that into an adventure? I came up with the concept of a charity fund-raising gala held on a space cruise disrupted by a mutiny. After asking around on the old FFG forums for ideas [ref, ref2], we started play with the Mythic GME in one hand and the WEG module Riders of the Maelstrom in the other. We do not follow the plot of that module, but it was an excellent source to draw from. I also pulled some ideas from FFG's Suns of Fortune source book, as well as the novel Leia, Princess of Alderaan, by Claudia Gray. FFG's Allies and Adversaries and the SWRPG adversary decks helped fill the ship with NPCs, and we frequently consulted the fan-made Environmental Set Pieces, as well. Setup Ano

Following on from "Delving Deeper Solo", I got a bunch of call-ins and a set of very specific questions from Frank T. In response, the only reasonable thing to do was to record a follow-up episode. This week, I delve into the Mythic Roleplaying rulebook and do a review of the stuff you'll find inside. You also get my candid thoughts on various elements and why most people will probably prefer to grab the Mythic GM Emulator instead.
