At Infosecurity Europe 2026 in London, Bill Peterson, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Sumo Logic, joins us to unpack a tension every regulated security team knows well. When an incident hits, the business has to keep running. At the same time, regulators expect sensitive data to stay in region. For a long time, those two demands have pulled in opposite directions. Sumo Logic has spent 15 years as a SaaS platform on AWS, processing roughly four exabytes of data a day for around 2,000 customers. The core promise is speed, driving mean time to resolve as low as possible. Peterson frames it in business terms, because the person signing the check wants to know the return, not the bits and bytes. The news from the show is Sumo Logic availability on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud. EU organizations can keep their data in region, handled by EU staff, while still running the full platform for incident response. That turns a painful either/or into a checklist a regulated buyer can complete. Genesys is the first customer live in the sovereign cloud, with payment processor OpenPay preparing to follow. How does this play out for highly regulated industries? Sumo Logic is focused on finance, healthcare, telco, and government, the verticals feeling the most pressure. The path Peterson describes is simple: let Sumo Logic handle incident management, let AWS move and grow the data in region, and check the sovereignty box without giving up operational readiness. Underneath sits a full-featured SIEM and Dojo AI, the agentic approach Sumo Logic launched earlier this year. The goal is not to replace analysts but to keep a human in the loop while handing proven, repetitive work to an agent. Fix one server, confirm the solution, then let an agent patch the other 599 under oversight. A SOC Analyst Agent reaches general availability at Black Hat later this year, alongside an MCP server. On observability, the differentiator is reading both structured and unstructured data without normalizing it first. A zip code is structured; a cryptic web hook error is not. Sumo Logic reads both, which feeds directly into faster time to identify and faster time to resolve. For any leader weighing sovereignty against uptime, Bill Peterson makes a clear case that they can finally live in the same plan. This is a Brand Spotlight. Ashaña eventually returns to the group with tea and snacks, and begins to instruct Elaith on ways to use the Everdrake Root.and what uses it can have. Convoso Brings Outbound Sales, Compliance and Spam-Risk Management to Salesforce, Podcast, Convoso works with several hundred businesses across industries including insurance, home services and lead generation. Hakimi says the company's goal is to help these organizations connect with leads faster, improve conversion rates and reduce customer acquisition costs By Doug Green “You have the NICEs of the world, Five9s, Genesys, and they all do it. Great companies. The only challenge is they're not really purpose-built for outbound and for sales,” says Nima Hakimi, CEO of Convoso. In this Technology Reseller News podcast, Nima Hakimi joins Doug Green to discuss Convoso's new app for Salesforce AppExchange and the gap the company is working to fill for revenue teams, business development centers and contact centers that depend on outbound calling for customer acquisition. The story is really about the changing outbound calling environment. For companies that rely on the phone to acquire customers, success is no longer just about dialing more leads. It is about reaching the right prospects, avoiding being mislabeled as spam, protecting caller reputation and staying compliant while still giving sales teams the speed and visibility they need. Hakimi describes Convoso as an outbound sales platform built for BDC revenue teams and contact centers. The platform brings together high-performance dialing, campaign management and number management into what he calls a revenue-generating engine for organizations that rely on calling to reach and convert leads. Convoso works with several hundred businesses across industries including insurance, home services and lead generation. Hakimi says the company's goal is to help these organizations connect with leads faster, improve conversion rates and reduce customer acquisition costs. The Salesforce connection is central to the conversation, but the larger issue is what happens after a sales team decides to call. Many organizations already use Salesforce, already have a contact center platform and already run outbound campaigns. The challenge is that outbound sales has become more complicated. Teams must reach prospects efficiently while avoiding spam labeling, protecting caller reputation and remaining compliant in an increasingly scrutinized calling environment. That is where Convoso sees its opportunity. By integrating with Salesforce, the company is positioning its platform as a purpose-built outbound layer for teams that need more than basic click-to-call or CRM logging. For sales-driven contact centers, the challenge is not simply making more calls. It is managing campaigns, improving answer rates, maintaining clean number practices, staying within compliance requirements and turning outbound activity into measurable revenue. For resellers, service providers and technology advisors working with revenue teams, the message is clear: outbound sales still matters, but it requires a different toolset than traditional inbound support. Convoso is making the case that Salesforce users need a platform designed specifically for that environment. Learn more: https://www.convoso.com/
Ashaña expands on her tale while Rou and Trix begin to question Umé's intentions. Ashaña is adamant that Umé wants what is best, insisting that it was their misunderstanding of Umé's warning that caused the destruction of the people of Nadros. Rou and Trix are forced to reconcile their interpretation of the events with Umé and Talbain against Ashaña's story. The more the party prods at the details and counters with new information about the deity, the more Ashaña seems distressed. In turn, the group updates Ashaña on who the Emperor is and why Umé might be interested in destroying him. In doing so, they provide Ashaña with some insight into why Umé has gone silent. However, the news seems to bring no comfort. Ze goes on to share that not all were destroyed, as the Princess and their shared lover left with some survivors to start anew. Ashaña stayed behind to watch over the island and the weapon that dwells there. When Rou asks if it's possible that the survivors brought knowledge beyond Nadros, they insist it's not possible and escorts the party to his home. Upon arriving, they find a mysterious figure perusing Ashaña's gardens. Follow Dax @gmdax, Kappa @TheKappaChris, Sebastian @sebastianyue, Wren @ThornyDryad and Nala J. Ashaña leads the party deeper into Nadros, to a valley seemingly lost to time. Over the course of their walk, he has shifted from an element of nature to more humanoid in appearance. She summons roots from the depths of a pond to create chairs for everyone to sit on. As they pry into the party's reason for being on the island, Ashaña shares a little insight into the history of Nadros. Ze reveals that the people that once made this island home repeated some grave mistakes of their past, and ultimately were the cause of their own destruction. When he mentions Umé's name in her tale, the party's interest becomes piqued. They realize the once imprisoned deity's involvement goes deeper than they knew. Trix rushes to aid Elaith, who has been suddenly pulled up toward the canopy and an awaiting man-eating plant. As they make quick work of the predator, Rou maneuvers to catch his new friend when they fall. Unknown to the party, an unseen figure watches the scene from the shadows. As the smoke clears from Trix's arrow and Elaith lands safely, the figure reveals themself. Standing over 8 feet tall, the figure demands they return to where they came from and insists the island has nothing for them. When Elaith pushes back, and even goes so far as to give a thorough description of the plant they need, the figure seems to relax a bit. Rou and Trix chime in, helping to convince the figure to at least talk with them - preferably in a safer place. The figure, who shares she's named Ashaña, leads them deeper into the jungle. What strikes the party is that the plants seem to react to his very presence as ze walks through the foliage. Freshly freed from quicksand, the party returns to the river to clean off the grit and wet sand, making a quick plan before continuing their journey. They decide that Elaith and Rou will forge ahead while Trix leaps among the branches to spy the trail ahead. With the humidity too high to dry their clothes, the party dons wet clothing and gets back on track. As they push through the underbrush, the party hears the sound of a child crying. They veer off course to check out the sound and find the sound comes from a mass of tangled vines. Trix peers down from above and sees what appears to be a small form wrapped in something purple, the form shaking with each sob. Rou and Elaith head into the vines to help Trix get a closer look, and quickly realize it's a mistake when Rou is grappled by vines that draw him closer to a gaping, toothed maw. Trix is able to make quick work of the vines with their explosive arrows, which causes the plant to disappear into the brush. Returning to their original path, the party experiences a moment of peace before Elaith is grabbed by a draping vine and pulled up into the canopy. The planet Nullia has persisted for generations with little outside influence. Whispers of an "Imperium" are just rumors. When an offworlder styling herself as a "Rogue Trader" arrives, however, the chance to leave escape forget venture beyond Nullia presents itself. If you can meet her price in time, that is. session advertisement for the 2025 RinCon Tabletop Gaming Convention Setup Welcome to the newest campaign by Dicey Stories! Rogue Trader: Escape from Nullia is a tabletop roleplaying campaign set in the universe of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K. It takes its inspiration from the WH40K Rogue Trader video game from Owlcat Games. Our characters start as nobodies, but they are ambitious seekers of knowledge and authority who will do what they must to survive. The release of each episode's audio will be accompanied by a serialized, narrative write-up of the adventure. So give a listen, read along, or enjoy both formats! Rogue Trader: Escape from Nullia is played using the Genesys roleplaying system now published by Edge Studio and the Mythic GM Emulator by Tana Pigeon. Our main resources for this campaign are the Genesys Core Rulebook and Shadow of the Beanstalk. We sometimes reference fanmade WH40K supplements such as Dark Heresy from Hoob and Rogue Trader Genesys from Anthony Arcarola, as well as Environmental Set Pieces from Kainrath, a supplement for Genesys's older sibling, the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. (For other examples of us combining Genesys with the Mythic GM Emulator, see our Resh Hour and Cruise Control campaigns.) Background If you know nothing about Warhammer 40K or Rogue Trader, that's fine! Neither did I prior to starting this game. But if you do know this IP, don't worry; Danielle is quite familiar with the universe from reading novels, playing the Rogue Trader video game, and listening to the Valentyne Heresy actual play from Dumb Dumbs and Dice. This campaign started as a one-shot prepared for the Southern Arizona Gamers Association's 2025 RinCon Tabletop Gaming Convention. Danielle ran it a total of three times in that format, and the story wrapped up in four hours. Once she and I began playing it using the Mythic GM Emulator, however, it spun off in a completely different direction and took on a life of its own. Our PCs started as pre-gens that Danielle made for her module, so they had less personalization than the PCs from some of our recent campaigns. After playing for a little while, we made some adjustments to the characters to suit our liking and then continued on from there. The write-ups of this campaign will primarily be from Timon's perspective, with occasional annotations from Corille.

Unfortunately, an incident at the top causes everyone to tumble back to the ground. Changing course to cross the river the party pushes forward into the dense jungle. Join UC Today host Kieran Devlin as he sits down with William Rubio, Chief Revenue Officer at CallTower, and Elka Popova, Vice President and Senior Fellow at Frost & Sullivan. As AI features rapidly light up across communications platforms, internal IT governance models are struggling to keep pace. This insightful session dives into the hidden vulnerabilities of "shadow AI" and the messy reality of multi-vendor environments. If you're looking for a practical approach to standardizing policy, monitoring data usage, and holding vendors accountable without suffocating innovation, this conversation is essential viewing. The rush to implement AI in Unified Communications (UC) and Contact Center (CCaaS) platforms is outpacing IT's ability to safely secure it. When different teams own different parts of a fragmented tech stack, compliance risks multiply, and traditional governance breaks down. William and Elka break down the real-world friction of enterprise AI adoption and share practical strategies for maintaining control.Key takeaways from our discussion include:The Threat of Shadow AI: How personal use of unauthorized AI tools and a lack of specialized AI skillsets within IT departments are exposing organizations to hidden data vulnerabilities.Navigating Multi-Vendor Sprawl: Why a "one size fits all" approach fails, and how to maintain unified, proactive governance across complex hybrid environments featuring platforms like Microsoft, Cisco, and Genesys.Building a Culture of Compliance: Moving beyond the annual "check-the-box" mentality to create dynamic, ongoing security protocols that secure buy-in from business leaders across the organization.Vetting Your Vendors: The critical questions IT and CX buyers must ask during procurement regarding technology roadmaps, industry-specific expertise, and global data sovereignty.

Trix swiftly climbs to the crow's nest and shoots an explosive arrow into the sea, causing some celebration when two tentacles float to the surface. Meanwhile, Rou and Elaith stand at the ready with weapons drawn, waiting for the creature to attack again. When the creature rises from the depths and reveals its full form, much of the crew begins to scream and paralyzed with terror, including Elaith. The creature rakes a tentacle across the deck, plowing into the mast that holds Trix. They are able to get down safely but at the expense of rope burns on their palms. Rou dives into the fray, hacking at the tentacles with his sword. Captain Lucy calls out, her voice seeming to echo from the skies above and then lightning shoots down and strikes the creature. It flees from the ship, taking more sailors with it as its tentacles drag across the deck. The ship slowly makes its way to shore, and the trio help with cleaning, repairs and healing as much as they can before nightfall. The group discovers the name of the ship they've found is The Trickster, and its Captain is not easily convinced to take the party to Nadros. Despite Rou's best effort to goad her, it's up to Trix to help with the negotiations by flattering her and hinting at treasure beyond their wildest dreams. Eventually, the Captain is swayed by Trix's words and agrees to take them provided they pay 500 gold for passage. Realizing they're a little short on funds, Elaith offers to provide services as a doctor for the duration of the voyage. The Captain declines the offer, considering the voyage would be too short to make the value of the services worth it. Rou negotiates that the trio part with 300 of their gold before the voyage, and afterward the Captain takes 50% of all treasure found on the island, as well as a case of healing potions for the crew that Elaith would brew on board. With the ship leaving in an hour and the voyage to last two weeks, the party heads into Stagg Hollow to make final preparations. Rou and Trix head to a seedy bar to try and recoup some funds via poker and pickpocketing, and Elaith purchases supplies for the potions they've been contracted to make. They take time to explore the grounds and discover there are gardens and pastures full of livestock. Rou even takes time to learn how to cook and bake from Liam's staff. Meanwhile, Trix searches for information on blood oaths in Liam's library, finding a few things of note. When Liam asks about Trix's interest in the subject, Trix gives a sample of their own blood so Liam can perform some hands-on research. On the fourth day of their visit, Rou checks in with Elaith on their progress. He does his best to try and get more information on Elaith's past but the Kinder-Kai is hesitant to share. Despite this hesitation, he offers Elaith the opportunity to join him and Trix on their own journey. During dinner that night, Liam offers a solution that could address both sets of problems. He suggests they head to Nadros to search for powerful plants and an ancient fortress that is rumored to hold great knowledge. It would be a risk, as the jungles on the island are considered extremely dangerous, but worth it if they could make it to the ruins. Liam joins the party for dinner and Rou updates him on all of the group's adventures in Baukora, including the loss of Eight. He shares their discovery of the Seven Swords but avoids details on Trix's true identity. The group then reveals the reason for their visit: answers to an alchemical problem, information on blood oaths and how they might free the Seven Swords from the jeweled cages. Liam agrees to help, but admits it will take some time.During the conversation, something Elaith says about their predicament gives Liam pause. He asks Rou and Trix to leave him alone with Elaith for a few moments, though Trix tries their best to listen in from the hallway. As the pair whisper in the dark dining room, Liam discovers why Elaith wishes to keep their task a secret and in return they notice something odd on his breath. Before going to bed, Rou sneaks off into Liam's gardens and sets Eight's pack of knick-knacks under a large willow tree. As he takes a moment to reflect on his lost companion, a hedgehog comes by and seems to offer to guard what remains of Eight. Have you ever contacted customer support with a simple request, only to find yourself trapped in a loop of scripted chatbot responses that never actually solve the problem? It's an experience many of us know all too well. AI has made customer service more conversational over the last few years, yet there is still a gap between answering a question and actually resolving an issue. That gap is exactly where today's conversation begins. In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I spoke with Mike Szilagyi, SVP and General Manager of Product Management at Genesys Cloud, about a new chapter in AI-powered customer experience. Genesys has announced what it describes as the industry's first agentic virtual agent built on Large Action Models, or LAMs. While Large Language Models have dominated the conversation around AI for the past few years, they have largely focused on generating responses, retrieving knowledge, or answering questions. What they have struggled with is execution. Mike explained how Large Action Models take the next step. Rather than simply telling a customer how to solve a problem, these systems can plan and execute the steps needed to complete a task. Imagine contacting an airline after a sudden flight cancellation. Instead of navigating multiple menus or repeating information to a human agent, an agentic virtual assistant could understand your situation, check alternative flights, apply airline policies, and complete the rebooking process across several systems. In other words, the AI moves from conversation to action. We also explored how Genesys approached the design of this technology with enterprise governance in mind. From explainable decision paths and audit logs to guardrails that ensure every automated action can be traced and understood, the goal is to make autonomous AI trustworthy inside complex organizations. Mike also shared insights into Genesys' partnership with Scaled Cognition and how integrating specialized models helps deliver reliable execution in real-world customer service environments. Perhaps most interesting was our discussion about the human role in this evolving contact center landscape. As automation begins to handle routine and multi-step workflows, human agents are free to focus on situations that require empathy, judgment, and expertise. That shift raises interesting questions about how organizations design customer experiences in the years ahead. So how will customers respond when virtual agents move beyond answering questions and begin resolving problems on their behalf? And once one brand delivers that experience, will it quickly become the expectation? As we near the end of Starfleet Academy‘s inaugural season, we see real character growth in our young cadets — as well as in returning characters, including Voyager‘s Doctor. Ken and Staci empathize with Darem and Genesys trying to live up to their parents’ expectations, even if we wonder what makes a pebble identifiably Khionian. And the parallels between Sam, Tarima, and Our Town‘s Emily Gibbs hit us in all the feels, as a returning character from Discovery gives a nuanced and gracious approach to facing trauma and living in the moment. The pair set up camp after a long day's travel and reminisce about their journey with their former companion. Cela even joins in and shares the full story of the incident in Isha. In the morning, they are awoken by the sound of horses and people. They find that Indy & Co, sans Indy, are returning from the fortress with a contingent of the Sultan's army. They learn that, thanks to their connections, Indy & Co. were able to convince the Sultan to help them and raided the fortress while the party dealt with Erdir. The children were able to be saved but the Emperor somehow escaped. The pair join the contingent for a time, separating at Duskhollow, and eventually use the teleporter to get to Eulela. They travel from Kidohlva, ransacked and evacuated, to Liam's manor near the remains of Pineview.
