In this episode of the show we are embarking on a July expedition into the cinema of Richard Lester and we shall begin by talking about his 1974 cruise ship thriller Juggernaut. Over the course of our conversation you will hear us debate (because it seems to be one our favourite pastimes recently) whether this movie fits into the legacy of 70s disaster movies, how it leverages the authenticity of its era and how it heralds the arrival of action-packed docu-thrillers. We also talk about Richard Harris as a bomb disposal expert, the comedy of playing parlor games on a ship in inclement weather, the concept of running two stories in parallel and how in many ways this movie is a protoplast to such great classics as Die Hard, Under Siege and... While Rogue recovers back at the manor, the X-Men head out on a cruise to the Bahamas. What they don't know is that Magma needs to be near land or she could like literally die. Iceman gets into trouble and almost Titanics the ship and outs all of the mutants. But hark, they stow away to a small island where the natives love them for who they are. We invited Chad from Graymalkin Lane onto the pod and find out he has a fear of cruises!
The Mission continues! In Part 2 of the Tom Cruise Series, Christian and guest Jay rank the entire Mission: Impossible franchise from De Palma's original to the latest death-defying entries. But they don't stop there. The conversation expands into other films, a few underrated and not-so-underrated films, and why Cocaine might have been the reason for movies being made in the 80s. Whether you're a longtime Cruise fan or just here for the rankings. This episode is full of hot takes, laughs, and cinephile deep dives

SummaryIn this episode, Chase and Chris talk about why you don't need to be perfect when tracking your food. They share stories from their own journeys and from their clients who thought they had to do everything just right. But really, tracking your meals “most of the time” is what helps you reach your goals. You'll learn how taking small steps, like tracking a few days a week or not worrying about hitting exact numbers, can actually get you further. They talk about making things simple, having meals you repeat, and why being flexible helps you stick with it longer. If you've ever felt like you had to “start over” every week, this episode will help you break that habit and keep going strong.Chapters(00:00) Welcome to Episode 2 of Macros Made Doable(01:10) The Perfectionism Trap in Tracking(02:20) Why One Off-Meal Leads to Giving Up(03:34) Chase's “Perfect Zeros” Story(05:25) Diet Rules and Macro Carryover(06:06) Old Beliefs About Perfection and Resetting(07:04) Shifting the Mindset: B-Minus Effort(08:27) Taking a Day Off from Tracking (the Right Way)(09:56) How to Dine Out Without Derailing Progress(11:56) What Untracked Days Should Look Like(12:58) Flexible Tracking Plans for Long-Term Clients(14:05) Repeat Meals = Simpler Tracking(14:59) Using Macros as a GPS, Not a Rulebook(15:28) Start with Weekday Tracking(15:42) Stepping Stones Over All-or-Nothing(17:06) Reducing Stress by Ditching Perfection(18:02) The Burnout and Restart Cycle(19:38) Macros as Just Data(21:48) Letting Go of the Weekly Weigh-In Pressure(22:34) Cruise Control vs. 150 MPH: A Client Story(24:01) Why Going Slower Can Mean More Progress(25:00) Sneak Peek: Real Client Story in Part 3SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS to be answered on the show: https://forms.gle/B6bpTBDYnDcbUkeD7How to Connect with Us:Chase's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/changing_chase/Chris' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/conquer_fitness2021/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/665770984678334/Interested in 1:1 Coaching: https://conquerfitnessandnutrition.com/1on1-coachingJoin The Fit Fam Collective: https://conquerfitnessandnutrition.com/fit-fam-collective
Those are two of the questions tackled early on in the episode.Edd, Scott and Jon also debate the team orders disharmony at Ferrari, discuss Kimi Antonelli's impressive qualifying pace, ask whether Williams could be even closer to the front, and bring news of Jack Doohan's Alpine future.Plus, as ever, Edd, Jon and Scott answer questions about the grand prix sent in by The Race Members' Club. This week we are discussing "Speed 2: Cruise Control", which is on the Mount Rushmore of bad sequels. This one had us discussing the terrible shoe-horned plot, not knowing anything about each other after 7 months, Geiger being a lame bad guy, golf clubs being the corny decoy, having a random character from 1 in part 2, and a ton more. The fact that the end sequence cost almost as much as the budget of the original is crazy. So much screaming and nonsense in this one, but a blast to discuss. Watch the unedited video review at sequelsonly.com/speed2The next sequel up is "Nutty Professor II" and for it, I chatted with actress Enya Flack, who had guest spots on some of my favorite shows growing up like Fresh Prince, Wayans Brothers, and more plus she had some great stories from her non-acting work on projects. Enya was a blast in a Roger Corman show called "Black Scorpion", which you must watch. The next sequel we will discuss is "Speed 2: Cruise Control". For it, I chatted with the Actress Patrika Darbo, who you know from MANY things, but Days of Our Lives, Step by Step, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, just to name a few. Patrika talked about her journey from Jacksonville as a kid to moving to Milwaukee, then to Atlanta, her stepdad for the Atlanta Braves, then eventually to Hollywood. We talked about her early commercial jobs, The Jefferson, her big break in Daddy's Dying Get the Will, being on Carson, her love of Soap fans, and more. This week we are discussing "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2" and this is one by far the shortest sequel we will ever cover. This one had us discussing a little green Imp who tricks people by offering wishes, the lack of background actors, the shoehorned plot, Kelli freakin' Maroney, if the bowling alley was an active business, and more. The next sequel up is a movie that is the conversation whenever people discuss "Worst Sequels Ever" with "Speed 2: Cruise Control" and for it, I chatted with an actress who is a Soap star from "Days of Our Lives" who has been in everything from Different Strokes to The Burbs to Step by Step and a ton more. Of course, I am talking about Patrika Darbo! We talked about being on Johnny Carson, the power of Soap fans, and her journey from Florida to Hollywood. Hello Rank Squad! It's time for Champions League Takeaway, your late night delivery following the action - following the first legs of the new 'Playoff Round' in the competition, pitting the teams who finished 9th to 24th in the league stage against each other to earn places in the Round of 16.And it started with a bang, with a matchup between Manchester City and Real Madrid that we've seen multiple times in recent years, but not quite like this - and the game delivered, for the neutral at least. We discuss another City collapse late in a game, that tifo about the Ballon d'Or and Vinicius Jr's on-pitch response, the defensive frailties in both sides - but that were handled far better by Los Blancos, and all the rest. We also take a look at PSG's win over Brest and if the Parisiens are back in the conversation to win this thing; Juventus fighting off PSV in what should have been the USMNT-off; and why Borussia Dortmund are just much better in Europe than they are in the Bundesliga, as they hammered Sporting in Lisbon. Then in Part Two, we start with Bayern's trip to Celtic Park, where they won 2-1, but where their opposition caused serious problems for Vincent Kompany's side nonetheless; before moving on to look at managerless Feyenoord's victory against AC Milan; Atalanta falling to Club Brugge in controversial circumstances; and another win for Benfica against Monaco in the Principality. It's Ranks! And remember, if you'd like more from the Rank Squad, including extra podcasts every Monday and Friday (including our weekly Postbox taking a look at the whole weekend of football) and access to our brilliant Discord community, then why not join us here on Patreon?

Nobody sets out to make a bad movie. And yet, it happens. A lot. Especially when it comes to sequels. Hollywood can't resist going back to the well when a movie captures a passionate audience – and makes lots of money. But again and again sequels disappoint, and in some cases, can be so bad they kill a franchise. So join the Great Pop Culture Debate as it focuses on the most dreadful of duds, the most creatively bankrupt of flops, as we debate the Worst Movie Sequels. Films discussed: Speed 2: Cruise Control, Highlander 2: The Quickening, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Caddyshack II, Jaws: The Revenge, Halloween Kills, Basic Instinct II, Teen Wolf Too, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Staying Alive, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Grease 2, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Batman & Robin, Zoolander II, Spider-Man 3. Join host Eric Rezsnyak and GPCD panelists Jim Czadzeck, Kate Racculia, and Kevin Dillon as they debate 16 of the most reviled movie sequels of all time.
