Today we are talking about the insight that your marketing data hides. Some of you might be wondering what marketing data means, which is exactly why I brought on my friend Natasha Vorompiova. She is absolutely the person who helps you rock those systems. She's the founder of Systems Rock and helps entrepreneurs to measure the results of their marketing. What You Will Learn In This Episode: - What numbers we should pay attention to, to understand how our marketing works - What easy mistakes people are making and are not aware of that would make a crucial difference - The insights of what is hidden - How easy it is to track and what numbers we should be watching for - What tools are there for data analytics - The results when you get analytics right - The best place to get started If some strategy already works for you, just stick with that. Keep the number of things that you're doing in your marketing relatively small, because it's very easy to fall into a trap of you have to be everywhere, and you have to be doing everything. You don't necessarily need more people to come in, but the right people and the right people will become your best customers. The reason I couldn't scale them was because I couldn't see how my numbers could guide me to what I actually needed to do.”“I know that numbers are not fun for everybody. But it stops being tracking numbers for number's sake, and becomes this guiding light. I really love relying on my intuition when it comes to coming up with ideas. Numbers become that indicator of ‘Okay, is this working? Is this not working?' I get to test different ideas using numbers. To me, this is the best combination of intuition and numbers.”“When something doesn't work, the very first step is to actually step back and realistically look at, ‘Okay, what numbers do I need to be working with for them to actually work?' If I don't know what that looks like I can ask somebody who has a similar business model.”More about Natasha:Natasha Vorompiova is the founder of Systemsrock and metrics whisper, who deeply loves analytics and numbers. Natasha Vorompiova describes herself as a Metrics Whisperer—her clients call her their secret weapon because she helps them collect key metrics into an easy-to-read Control Panel that reveals the meaning behind all those numbers. As a result, her clients are able to make decisions based on specific, personal trends and patterns we detect in their customers' and prospects' activities, instead of relying on guesses and hunches. Growing a business is very much a numbers game, but it doesn't have to feel like playing blackjack, nor that there's no option but to do more to gain more. She believes the key is knowing your numbers, making a well-reasoned hypothesis based on what the numbers tell you, and once you've taken focused action, comparing your projections to the results so that you can optimize your machine even further. “1% action can make a 99% difference.” The internal shifts that need to take place to increase business from 6, 7 and 8-figures. What is a “system whisperer?” How Natasha got started with this online space. How she pivots with the multitude of technology platforms. The systems that Natasha believes work and the systems that aren't working. Why it's so incredibly important to not go with the status quo with systems. How to determine the business system that works best for you. The internal hang-ups that people have who haven't crossed the 7-figure mark. The importance of looking at your warm audience numbers to fine-tune things and scale. The aversions that business owners have with increasing their business revenue. In this episode, I have a conversation with Natasha Vorompiova over at Systems Rock, about doing less for bigger wins in business. Now before you go rolling your eyes and move on to another episode, we get it. Do less. Delegate. give it away. It's all overused and simplified business advice that gurus just love to give. Mainly because it's easy to say and there is some grain of truth to it. Doing less allows you to focus your efforts and go further in a single direction. But what's not normally talked about is that it usually costs both you and your business something to make that transition. Usually it costs time, revenue, and some mental strength on your part. The reality of doing less can be challenging and painful for a business owner who's just experienced the high of a growth season. So in this episode, Natasha and I set out to normalize the pain that comes with implementing a do less mentality. We talk about the signals in your business and team that tell you when it might be time to reevaluate your systems, and where you as a CEO need to start. We also talk about how to prepare your business for those changes so that you can be proactive instead of reactive to them. Natasha is a systems expert, but even she believes that the most successful transition of a CEO who wants to "do less", more focused work comes down to their willingness to be proactive about that transition.
