A man described as a “budding serial killer” was placed in a state-approved mental health residential care home in Columbia, South Carolina, where he allegedly killed and cannibalized two individuals over a five-month period. The accused consumed the ears of both victims and drank one victim's blood. Jared Ondrea was the first victim. Attorneys Joe McCulloch, and Dick Harpootlian filed lawsuits on behalf of Peggy Ondrea, the grandmother of Jared. In this interview, McCulloch and Harpootlian lay out why this tragedy should never have happened and who all was responsible. This is part one of an interview with McCulloch and Harpootlian. Pee Wee Gaskin's diminutive size of 5'2" tall and 130 pounds soaking wet didn't stop him from brutally killing at least eleven people, and possibly up to 105. The South Carolina serial killer murdered for a lot of reasons: revenge and personal vendettas, fits of rage, but mostly to satisfy a deep-rooted urge to rape, torture, and kill young women. An urge Pee Wee called, his "bothersomeness.” Merch and more: www.badmagicproductions.com Timesuck Discord! https://discord.gg/tqzH89vWant to join the Cult of the Curious PrivateFacebook Group? Today, we're taking another look at the sinister life of South Carolina's most infamous killer, Donald “Pee Wee'” Gaskins. Known as “The Meanest Man in America,” Gaskins terrorized the Pee Dee with a spree of murders that left a haunting legacy. Today, we'll explore his shocking crimes, the twisted mind behind them, and the impact his dark path had on his victims and the state of South Carolina. Also, from swamp-dwelling beasts to spectral creatures of the night, South Carolina is packed with tales of cryptids that defy logic and ignite the imagination. And later, the headmistress of a strict boarding school made it her life's work to keep her students in check. But after one rebellious girl eloped in the middle of the night, Madame Talvande made sure to give the school a prison-like feel in hopes that something like that wouldn't happen again. They say her spirit haunted the halls long after her passing, eager to punish any girls who stepped out of line. From 1969 to 1975, one man known for his small stature and penchant for murder, claims to have killed between 80 and 90 people along the Carolina coast. Did he do it? Possibly. Much of what this killer told people about his life was fiction—or was it? What we do know is that he murdered at least fourteen—eight of whom were found buried in his personal graveyard. When he was finally apprehended and placed on death row, the killing didn't stop. The man known to some as the redneck Charles Manson, only stopped taking lives when he drew his last breath in the electric chair. This is the incredibly true story of Donald Henry Gaskins, better known as the Killer, Pee Wee.sources used for this podcastJOIN THE HITCHED 2 HOMICIDE IN-LAWS AND OUTLAWSSTART KRIS CALVERT'S BOOKS TODAY FOR FREEH2H WEBSITEH2H on TWITTERH2H on INSTA

Happy Birthday America! What better way to celebrate than with a very American topic - murderers with the highest body counts! This extremely twisted list may be even more appropriate for this week's holiday than people who actually died on the 4th of July, mostly because it embodies what it truly means to be American - to fear for your life on a daily basis due to our messed up society and terrible police force! These tales are our best take on the worst killers in American history, and include a look into their early lives, as many of their crimes as we could fit into our stories, and of course, what happened to these terrible humans (including a last meal or two).Enjoy your holiday, stay safe, and remember: America is the only industrialized country with this many serial killers who are also this prolific. We closed the Last Meal episode with this chucklehead. And, we said that the episode was "Soon" and maybe even next week. Well, here we are. Covering the cut rate Pee Wee Gaskins. You got an overview of him in The Last Meal episode. But, here's the whole story. We cover his meager upbringing to his involvement in crime, to his prison sentence, how he got out of it, and how he went on a nation wide trek across the US from Tallahassee to Seattle, robbing and killing all the way. The worst part of all of this is that he really did get a reset button, and he wasted it. And, witness protection really got put under the microscope as a result of this clown. Since beginning this podcast, I've received a few messages regarding a well-known ghostly phenomena know as Bingham's Light. There are countless articles and videos that I came across, but none more fascinating and eerie than that of a blog post by a user on YourGhostStories.com detailing his own personal experience visiting the light. Also, most folks are familiar with South Carolina's most famous serial killer Pee Wee Gaskins, but did you know that another terrifying figure went on a murder spree in the Upstate? And later, in the mid 1800's, it wasn't uncommon for young children to come down with awful fevers, slip into comas, and sadly, pass away as a result. When you think about those that were declared dead, but then buried alive, it makes it all the more devastating. And for one unfortunate child, her spirit seems to still attempt her escape. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/scspookshow/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/scspookshow/support
We're back! In this second part of the series we're covering Pee Wee's great escape from a South Carolina State Prison and a few of the women who fell in love with the meanest man in America. It's gonna be one hot pretzel from Zanzibar!
In our final episodes of the series, we're talking about the most infamous serial killer in South Carolina history, Pee Wee Gaskins. In this episode, we discuss Pee Wee's humble beginnings as a small town crook that will escalate quickly into some pretty serious crimes.
This is the 2nd and final part of our coverage of "The Meanest Man in America", Pee Wee Gaskins. When we left off at the end of Part 1, Pee Wee had just completed a murder for hire plot against death row inmate, Rudolph Tyner. Pee Wee was hired by the son of Tyner's victims, Tony Cimo. Although Tyner would be Pee Wee's last victim, he was far from the first with some claims of Pee Wee's victim count being well over a hundred. In this episode we'll tell you all about how Pee Wee rightfully earned his nickname and the fate of both him and Tony Cimo. How far would you go to get revenge? Tony Cimo was a normal man with an average life until a senseless act of violence would leave those he loved dead and their killer still very much alive. Tony's quest for vengeance connects him to one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, Donald "Pee Wee" Gaskins. Together the two began plotting out a murder for hire scheme that sounds too crazy to be true and proves just how far some people will go to avenge the ones they love. It was a bit gruesome even for a carnival act. The snake and the rat. A giant king cobra in the cage hissing about and an employee would throw rat after rat into the cage. No matter how full, bored, or even tired the snake was, it would kill each rat that entered the cage. Even most adults would grab their child's arm and rush away. It was never a pretty sight to see death in action, but little Pee Wee Gaskins sat glued to the bars of the cage. Eyes never leaving the snake. He felt in awe. The snake didn't kill because it was hungry. No, the snake killed because it wanted to. This revelation was Pee Wee's first erection, and he knew from that day forward he wanted to be a king cobra snake. He wanted to be the most prolific of all the serial killers. Tonight Phil and Travis take on the meanest man in America, Pee Wee Gaskins. Donald "Pee Wee" Gaskins Jr. was a serial killer from South Carolina. Pee Wee Gaskins might be the sickest serial we've ever covered on this podcast. It definitely is not for the faint of heart. Pee Wee stabbed, shot, poisoned, and drowned his victims over his sick career as a monstrous killer. If all that was not bad enough, he included rape in the killings.
