(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Timothy Reed Chinese communists shut down churches while Jin ping in America While Chinese President Xi Jinping was visiting the United States, Communist police were still arresting pastors and shutting down churches in China. Pastors and church workers from Jiaquan Church in Beijing have been arrested in raids occurring over the last week.  This follows another mass arrest of more members of the Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu in southwestern China. Send a polite, 4-sentence letter to the Chinese Ambassador to America, Xie Feng, urging him to tell the Communist party officials to stop arresting pastors and shutting down churches. Send it to the Chinese Embassy, 3505 International Place NW, Washington, DC 20008. Supreme Court continues to affirm parental rights Over the past year, parental rights advocates are winning cases at the U.S. Supreme Court. By law, the state of California was requiring school officials to conceal information concerning children's gender transitioning behavior from their parents.  Thankfully, the high court struct down the law earlier in the year.  In a separate ruling last June, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down another Maryland law that prohibited parents from opting their kids out of homosexual/transgender indoctrination classes, reported CBS News. Writing the majority opinion, Justice Samuel Alito argued on the basis of religious rights. He wrote, “A government burdens the religious exercise of parents when it requires them to submit their children to instruction that poses ‘a very real threat of undermining' the religious beliefs and practices that the parents wish to instill.” Ebola virus killed 4,000 people in Congo The World Health Organization reports 8,000 cases of Ebola in the latest outbreak in Congo, Africa — and now, almost 4,000 deaths. This is the worst outbreak of this deadly disease since 2013.  Mortgage rates at 7.5% The U.S. 30-year mortgage rate hit 7.5% yesterday, reports Mortgage News Daily.  That's the highest rate since December 2000.  Trump criticized United Nations President Donald Trump took to the stage at the United Nations General Assembly in New York last week, heavily criticizing the organization, but also praising it in some aspects as well. Trump stated, “There is no human right to illegal immigration, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation.” He added that the United States “totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control artificial intelligence.”  The president also said, “The United Nations has great, great potential” and he encouraged the U.S. Ambassador to the UN “to implement the most sweeping UN reforms in history.” Canadian doctors kill more people than American murderers do Canada now kills more people by "assisted suicide" than the United States does by homicide. United States Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah detailed this fact in a now viral post on X, stating, “State-administered death is now more common in Canada than gun homicide is in the U.S.  That didn't happen by accident.” He also said, “The intersection of assisted suicide and socialized medicine results in state-led horrors, treating the young, old, infirm, and distressed as disposable people. We must never allow this barbarity to spread in America.” Jeremiah 8:3 gives a stark warning. The Lord of hosts said, “Then death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of those who remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places where I have driven them.” Gen Z more religious than older generations A new update from the Harris Report revealed that Gen Z is more religious than older generations. Per the report, “Gen Z is not abandoning faith, they are the generation most likely to identify as religious. Gen Z is not just identifying with faith, they are actively practicing it. For Gen Z, spirituality is one way to build agency in an uncertain future.” However, many in Gen Z continue to observe harmful religious practices, and dabble with the occult and manifestations.  Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Planned Parenthood gave Joe Biden their baby killing award And finally, abortion giant Planned Parenthood handed out its 2026 Sonia Schorr Sloan Service Award to former President Joe Biden, one of the biggest supporters of abortion in United States history, reported LifeNews. Biden recalled his historic murderous work. Referring to Sonny Sloan, the late president of Delaware's Planned Parenthood, Biden said this. BIDEN: “In the wake of the Dobbs decision, as president, I tried to do what I knew Sonny would have been on the phone telling me to do. We took action. We signed executive orders to protect access to reproductive health care, including emergency medical care.”  Since former President Biden is quite difficult to understand, this is what he said. “In the wake of the Dobbs decision, as president, I tried to do what I knew Sonny would have been on the phone telling me to do. In May 1999, two detectives followed a trail of suspicious missing persons cases to an old, red-brick bank in Snowtown, South Australia. As they head inside, they head straight for the bank’s vault where they find six large plastic barrels containing human remains. They also find handcuffs, knives, a saw, boxes of disposable gloves and bottles of hydrochloric acid. The “cavalry” (Black Panthers, BLM affiliates, Fred Hampton types) showed up in small numbers, held signs, chanted in front of Medgar Evers' house, offered water nobody asked for, and never made it to the “white neighborhoods” they promised. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Supreme Court releases Muslim murderers of Christian couple The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the release of the final three men on death row in the 2014 murder case of a Christian couple, Shahzad Masih and his pregnant wife, Shama, reports International Christian Concern. With this decision, along with the dismissal of a state appeal against the acquittal of 102 other suspects, no one remains convicted or in prison for the attack.  Here's the back story.  On November 4, 2014, in a village in the Punjab Province, a violent mob attacked Shahzad and Shama after they were accused of desecrating pages of the Quran, Islam's misguided book. The mob severely beat the couple before throwing them into a hot brick kiln, where they both died.  While five men were sentenced to death and nine others received short prison sentences, they all were released back into society. Lord, “let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Wildfires in France and Spain have displaced 250,000 people France sent a hulking military cargo plane to dump tons of flame retardants as it battled raging wildfires on Saturday and slashed the final stage of the bicycle race, Tour de France, to redeploy security personnel to the blazes that forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, reports the Associated Press. The giant A400M transporter swooped in low, its long plume of ochre-colored retardant trailing over drought-hit woodlands on the ground that fought flames that authorities feared could spread toward the wine region city of Bordeaux in southwest France, 310 miles away from Paris. Former Maine lawmaker replaces Graham Platner on Democratic ticket On Saturday, former state lawmaker and logger Troy Jackson secured the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Maine and will face longtime GOP Senator Susan Collins in November in a race that could decide which party controls the Senate, reports The Associated Press. Jackson replaces Graham Platner, who won the Democratic primary in June, but withdrew from the race earlier this month following an allegation of sexual assault that Platner has denied.  Maine Democrats met Saturday to choose a new Senate nominee to face Collins. Trump's CDC nominee commits to abortion data reporting Former Deputy Surgeon General Dr. Erica Schwartz, President Donald Trump's nominee to head the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, testified last week that it is “absolutely critical” for the CDC to gather reliable abortion data upon which policymakers and health analysts can make decisions, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Nominated in April, Schwartz is currently appearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee for her confirmation hearings. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri raised the matter of abortion data collection and analysis which the CDC had paused in November without explanation. HAWLEY: “The CDC collects data on abortions that are committed in the United States of America through a system called the ‘Abortion Reporting System.' This system is voluntary, and so a number of states, not coincidentally large blue states, do not turn over any data so that it's difficult to get a picture of just how many abortions, and under what circumstances, are committed in this country. We do know the numbers are going up, way up. Since the Dobbs decision -- well over a million abortions last year.  “Would you commit to collect the data on the number and circumstances of abortions, as is provided for in this system, and to work with those states that are currently holding out and not giving it to actually get the data so that we can know we can get a picture of what really is going on here? Will you do that? SCHWARTZ: “Senator, you have my commitment. Abortion surveillance is absolutely a critical component of what the CDC is currently doing. I will look into that.” HAWLEY: “Thank you.” SCHWARTZ: “But I also want to make sure that certain states are not conflating emergency services and hiding abortions in that emergency services case definition. We need to make sure we're pulling out true abortions and making sure that we're really having clear case definitions regarding abortions, so the data is actually accurate.” HAWLEY: “Fantastic!” Christian WNBA star attacked for opposing men in women's sports Sophie Cunningham, an eight-season WNBA veteran, got re-baptized earlier this year to reaffirm her Christian faith as an adult, reports The Christian Post. Appearing on “The Travis Hearn” podcast, she was asked about her faith. HEARN: “What's it like being a believer in Jesus Christ, a follower of Jesus, a woman of God, in the WNBA?” CUNNINGHAM: “For me, to be a believer in the W[NBA] … I think there's a lot more believers than you would actually, because a lot of people don't speak out about it. I am loud, I am confident, and I think being actually a woman of God, it's allowed me to walk into rooms with my shoulders back. I have a different type of swag and confidence about me because I know God has me.” Cunningham made headlines in 2022 when she approvingly retweeted an X post by CBS host Josh Prate opposing trans-identified male swimmer Will Thomas, who pretends to be a woman named “Lia,” being allowed on the women's team. As a result, the Left spewed hateful remarks about her on social media.  Indeed, 2 Timothy 3:12 says, “All those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” During an interview with ESPN last week, Cunningham asserted that she does not hate transgender-identifying people, but believes in standing up for young girls in their private spaces. CUNNINGHAM: “I think it's really important to protect children, and that's little girls who are also involved in that category. And so, I do have beliefs. I have morals, and I'll always stand on those and be true to who I am. And when it comes just to protecting young girls in sport and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that.” On July 23rd, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt expressed the Trump administration's solidarity with Sophie Cunningham. LEAVITT: “This is something the President feels strongly about as well, and the American people do too. Men should not be playing in women's sports. It's completely ludicrous that anyone could support that.  “It's even more ludicrous that you do have Sophia Cunningham, a female athlete herself, very accomplished in her own right, coming forth and speaking that truth that men shouldn't play in women's sports. We want to protect women and girls. “The backlash she is receiving from Democrats is astonishing. They are clearly very out of touch with the American public on this issue, which is an 80/20 issue. It's common sense. It's rooted in basic biological fact that men should not be competing against women on playing fields across the country.” And ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith affirmed Cunningham's insistence that men, pretending to be women, should not compete against biological women. SMITH: “I can't applaud her enough. This notion that you're hating on the ‘trans community' because you are not a proponent of them participating in female sports is utterly ridiculous. Sophie Cunningham said every word right on the money. There's no hate involved. There's only love we're talking about.  “But what happened to loving girls who are born biologically as girls. What about their rights? What about fairness associated to them?  Smith cited the story of Will Thomas, the male swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, who is now pretending to be female as a good case in point revealing how demonstrably unfair it was to let him compete against biological women like Riley Gaines. SMITH: “'Lia Thomas.' I'm gonna keep bringing that name up: 400+ in the world competing as a male, transitions to female and he was number one. If we're gonna act like transitioning from male to female doesn't involve an advantage for that trans athlete, I have nothing to say to you. You're not exercising common sense.” Pastor Robert Jeffress' ministry surpasses 1 million YouTube subscribers Pastor Robert Jeffress' Pathway to Victory YouTube channel has surpassed 1 million subscribers, reports the Christian Post. Jeffress, who leads the 16,000-strong congregation at First Baptist Dallas, said the YouTube channel's launch was "an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel through our Bible-teaching ministry. We're grateful for the response.”  Amazingly, the church only launched the channel in 2024. Pathway to Victory was launched in 1996 and serves as the broadcast ministry for First Baptist Dallas and airs on 900 radio stations across the United States. Pastor Jeffress said, "Our mission has always been to pierce the darkness with the light of God's Word, and this [1 million subscriber milestone] is a testament to the power of the Gospel to transform lives." Many investigators continue performing at exceptionally high levels while privately carrying years of accumulated trauma. By retirement, many discover those experiences never truly disappeared. Building a New Police Service Following her distinguished RCMP career, Hyland accepted another historic challenge. She became part of the leadership team helping establish the Surrey Police Service, a milestone in Canadian policing. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Preacher found dead in Russian prison A blogger and preacher, known to the internet as Vegan Christ-Lover of God, died this month while in Russian custody. Khristolyub Bozhiy ran a blog and YouTube channel where he spoke about religion, veganism, and his advocacy of peace related to Russia's ongoing war on Ukraine, reports International Christian Concern. The 43-year-old blogger described himself as a Christian activist, pacifist, and preacher who spoke against Islam Russian officials began their investigations in November 2023. In February 2025, a regional court sentenced Bozhiy to three years in a colony-settlement for offending Muslims,  In early April, Bozhiy was moved to a pre-trial detention center and was immediately placed in an isolated cell.  Earlier this month, he reported, “I was given five days in solitary as soon as I arrived. Then another 15, for nothing at all.”  On April 17th, Bozhiy's father learned that his son had died, but was not told the cause of his death until he was summoned to collect his son's body on April 20th. That day, when he arrived at the investigator's office, he was told that his son had been found hanging in an isolated cell. Bozhiy's relatives do not believe his death was a suicide. In his final protest, Bozhiy held a sign that read, “Jesus commanded to love enemies, not to kill, for God is love. Murderers do not inherit the Kingdom of God.”  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu treated for prostate cancer Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed that he recently underwent treatment for prostate cancer, and kept it quiet for fear that it would be used by Iran for propaganda, reports One America News. He had three core messages to share with the public: “Thank God, I am healthy.” “I am in excellent physical condition.” “I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. Thank God, it's behind me.” 3 John 2:2 says, “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” 9 in 10 British Evangelicals prepared to share faith with atheists Only 2% of evangelical British Christians have faced ‘sanctions' for talking about their Christian faith at work, while 4% feel they have missed out on the chance of a promotion or other better job opportunities because of their Christian faith, reports Evangelical Focus. A survey commissioned by the Evangelical Alliance United Kingdom shows that most Evangelicals have a positive experience in their workplace. Although one in ten say they have received criticism in the United Kingdom for talking about their Christian faith and just over two in ten are “hesitant to talk about my Christian faith”, 40% of believers say that their Christian faith has “positively helped me in my workplace.” Almost 9 in 10 Evangelicals feel “equipped” to share their faith with atheists (86%) compared to 14% who do not. The response is virtually the same when asked about conversations with agnostics. And two-thirds of Evangelical respondents feel prepared to discuss their faith with Muslims (67%) and 79% with Jews. 1 Peter 3:15 says, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” Trump's fiscal folly On April 3rd, President Trump released his proposed Fiscal 2027 Budget. Strikingly, Trump proposed to increase defense spending by over 40% and cut non-defense discretionary spending by about 10%, reports Fortune Magazine. Yet, even after slashing everything from environmental protection and scientific research to housing and small-business support, government spending will surge, the deficit will balloon, and the ratio of debt held by the public to the Gross Domestic Product will climb to peacetime highs and remain above 100%. Overall, the Trump administration's proposed budget is an extension of what has become, particularly during the last three administrations, fiscal folly. Steve Hanke, a professor of applied economics at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, wrote, “A significant chunk of today's government expenditures are financed by putting future generations in bondage and saddling them with the costs. This is irresponsible, inequitable, and immoral. Fiscal deficits are nothing more than deferred taxes that will be paid by those who aren't even voting today, as well as many who are yet to be born.” Public school allows profane anti-ICE protest, suspends pro-ICE student On February 6, hundreds of students at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, California peacefully staged a mid-school-day walkout to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They held posters that read “ICE is KKK spelled differently” as well as others with profane language. Yet, two weeks later, Torrey Pines High School suspended a student for posting pro-ICE flyers reading, “We love I.C.E. – Real Americans.” The school claimed the flyers, which caused no disruption at the school — and were displayed in a common area where other students have posted political material — nevertheless constituted “harassment” and “intimidation.”  After intervention by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, a California school district expunged its suspension of a high school junior for putting up a pro-ICE poster. Senior Attorney Conor Fitzpatrick said, “School administrators can't pick and choose which opinions students are allowed to express. Voicing an opinion which makes others upset is not ‘harassment' or ‘intimidation,' it is American democracy in action.” Which U.S. president had 15 children? And finally, in 1789, George Washington became the first president of the United States. Since then, 44 other men have served as Commander-in-Chief, each leaving a political legacy to be analyzed and judged in the course of time. But their legacies are not only political — they're also familial, reports HistoryFacts. The number of children each president had is often overlooked, but on a personal level, few things could be more important. And in two cases, presidential children — John Quincy Adams and George W. Bush — went on to become presidents themselves, combining the familial with the political.    Five presidents fathered no known biological children. In some cases, this was likely due to infertility caused by medical issues, such as the tuberculosis infection George Washington suffered before he was married. James Buchanan, meanwhile, remains the only U.S. president who never married.  One president stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to procreating: John Tyler fathered 15 children across two marriages. Another notable figure is Thomas Jefferson, who had six children with his wife of 10 years, Martha Jefferson, and allegedly fathered six others with his slave named Sally Hemings. The other presidents in the top five include: James A. Garfield, who had 7 children, Rutherford B. Hayes, who had 8 children, and William Henry Harrison, who had 10 children.
