Although this is not part of the podcast series, we recorded Tim's HOTS/Vol State Info call for those who couldn't make it. It's very long as there were a lot of veterans on the call so I divided it into 2 parts. This is part 1

Tim Hardy hails from Marietta, NY and has an impressive resume of very long races. His background in Army Ranger training has made him certified "tough as fuck" but most importantly his mental approach is what sets him apart. Read more from Tim's Blog Abby McCarthy is also from New York and she is a very smart runner- hear how she eats "walking ramen", how she is "a Honda Civic with a governor on it" and "takes dirt naps in graveyards". She's basically built for Vol State- and sadly she could not finish Wordle the day after finishing. Finally, our dude Oak Miller- projectile vomiting like a champ during Vol State will hopefully be a new core memory from our guy from North Carolina. For Episode 85 of the Flatirons Syndicate Motorsports Podcast, Ryan, Tasso, Scotty, and Jon have a conversation about Motorsports. Dussex, Tasso, and Scotty all get out to compete their cars as much as they can. And I think that it is fair to say that they are all doing their best as privateer/grass-roots racers to compete in whatever class that they run in. And it isn't easy most of the time. The last episode of the Podcast we recorded was with Tim Hardy who has basically completely rebuilt his E30 BMW to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and he has found a way to get his car on the podium, and is even in the top 27 fastest racers ever to run up Pikes Peak. You should really check that episode out if you haven't watched it yet. So with that in mind, and the knowledge of what all of the guys have gone through to try to compete, should Motorsports be more accessible? Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
For episode 84 of the Flatirons Syndicate Motorsports Podcast, Scotty and Jon sit down with Tim Hardy. For most every year that we have raced up Pikes Peak, Tim Hardy has also been there as well running his black E30 BMW. The point where we knew Tim was serious was when he showed up with a ton of new carbon fiber panels on his car, and we ended up finding out that he made them all himself. Every year, he has something new or different on his car it seems, and then for 2022, he decided to rework and change his engine and drivetrain. Tim's car has always been impressive, and he is actually in a very small group of people to run up Pikes Peak who have put in a time under 10 minutes. After seeing the car this year, and getting an idea of all that he did and went through to get it up Pikes Peak, we had to sit down with him to find out all that we could. Tim is an example of where innovation and ingenuity can turn into pace at the track to say the least. Thanks for listening and Stay Tuned!

Unsure what he wanted to do for a career chef and restaurateur Tim Hardy (Van Bone, Tasmania) fell into the industry, but soon became enamoured by its energy and opportunity. He set about working in regional restaurants across the country that had made not only a mark on Australia's culinary landscape, but captured that sense of place and gave a food identity to their region. Inspired by those that taught him, he headed back to Tasmania where he has created a stunning, bespoke dining experience that puts Tasmania on the plate.https://www.vanbone.com.auFollow Deep In The Weeds on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/deepintheweedspodcast/?hl=enFollow Huckhttps://www.instagram.com/huckstergram/Follow Rob Locke (Executive Producer)https://www.instagram.com/foodwinedine/LISTEN TO OUR OTHER FOOD PODCASTShttps://linktr.ee/DeepintheWeedsNetwork

You may have heard of a little Netflix documentary called "Barkley, the Race that eats its young" and if you are a trail or ultra runner, you may have even been asked if you ever ran or want to run Barkley. And if you are a silly person, you might even be thinking that you DO want to run Barkley someday. What you may not know is that we have two people from the Rochester Area that have run Barkley. In fact, 6 they have 6 attempts between the two of them! Tim Hardy and John Fegyveresi both ran the race in 2012. John is one of the races only 15 finishers. Tim has finished races like Arrowhead 135, Badwater, And Massanutten Mountain and yet was portrayed as 'the human sacrifice' in the movie. Well thanks to Greater Rochester Track Club, Tim and John gave us a view behind the curtain. Special Guests: John Fegyveresi and Tim Hardy.
