Welcome, friends. Today, I want to share a piece that I will be posting on my Makes Sense Substack, called the Alchemy of Forgiveness. This time, it's all about you. It originated from a mastermind topic I did for a plant medicine integration group I host monthly with the friends of Arkana. Feel free to reach out for more information on that. But I thought it would make for a great short form Podcast Episode to accompany it. As we approach this sensitive subject, please be aware of the following. I do not know what it is like to walk in your shoes, nor do I know your pain and circumstances. This process of forgiveness is a unique and individualized situation that will carry an acquired taste for some. What i do know is that your life experience can become extraordinary the moment you decide to stop carrying its weight on your shoulders and it will happen the moment you change the way you look at forgiveness, and this is the intention of this episode. In full transparency, I have come to termswith the fact that I will be working to release myself from its burden for the rest of my life. However, it is in my decision and intention to release it, that I have found my Freedom. ►Follow Dr. JC Doornick and the Makes Sense Academy: Instagram: / drjcdoornick Facebook: / makessensepodcast YouTube: / drjcdoornick MAKES SENSE PODCAST Welcome to the Makes Sense with Dr. JC Doornick Podcast: This podcast covers topics that expand human consciousness and performance.

THE KEROUAC PROJECT: https://www.kerouacproject.org/JACK KEROUAC SCHOOL OF DISEMBODIED POETICS: https://www.naropa.edu/academics/schools-centers/jack-kerouac-school-of-disembodied-poetics/The thread of Jack Kerouac's literary and personal life in the American imagination might be unwound succinctly in the following terms: ambitious and fun-loving young man leaves behind his small-town upbringing to chase heroes and dreams in the American West, finding along the way new paths to enlightenment while blazing a trail for generations of seekers to follow. It is a theme familiar to most of us, because more than a few of our favorite novels embrace it. It is also, in the case of Kerouac, almost entirely a fiction. The man most associated with the peripatetic Beat Generation spent more than half his life in his hometown of Lowell, Mass., living with his mother. This master of the postwar American idiom grew up speaking the French dialect of his Canadian immigrant parents and actually attempted an early draft of On The Road (the book was eventually published in 1957) in the dialect of his Franco-American community. Despite the image of a modern spiritual seeker who eventually found a home in Buddhism, Kerouac was born and died a self-identified Catholic; and despite his iconic status as a chronicler of the road, the most prominent theme in Kerouac's novels is a mysticism of place.Kerouac's mystical visions had another specific theme—the crucifixion. In Maggie Cassidy, Christ speaks to him from a crucifix after confession:“My child, you find yourself in the world of mystery and pain not understandable—I know, angel—it is for your good, we shall save you, because we find your soul as important as the soul of the others in the world—but you must suffer for that, in effect my child, you must die, you must die in pain, with cries, frights, despairs—the ambiguities! the terrors!”The Autobiographical Novels of Jack KerouacVisions of Gerard (written 1956, published 1963)About Kerouac's saintly older brother, who died as a child.Doctor Sax (written 1952, published 1959)Maggie Cassidy (written 1953, published 1959)Youthful porchlight romancing in Lowell. The Town and the City (written 1946-49, published 1950)Vanity of Duluoz (written and published 1968)Kerouac's last published novel, a memoir of early days.On The Road (written 1948-56, published 1957)Visions of Cody (written 1951-52, published 1972)More about Neal Cassady. The Subterraneans (written 1953, published 1958)Kerouac's pathetic love story about a black girl who dumps him for Gregory Corso.Tristessa (written 1955-56, published 1960)Junkie prostitute girlfriend in Mexico. The Dharma Bums (written 1957, published 1958)Big Sur (written 1961, published 1962)Desolation Angels (written 1956-61, published 1965)Satori in Paris (written 1965, published 1966)

Interview with Satori Shakoor - The Culture News
In the spiritual scene, people think that we can break the ego… And if we have broken the ego, we get enlightenment… The Psychologists don't think that it is possible to break the ego permanently and they can prove that. What is the ego?In the spiritual/religious scene, we define the ego as the root of all sorrow or as the collection of our negative feelings, thoughts, and habits. Actually, this is not true! Our ego is the collection of all of our habits, feelings, and thoughts.Everything that we have learned is part of our ego, be it our skills, habits, bad temper, and even our diseases. When we had been a baby, we had inside of us the divine and our animal mind that is part of the ego. We grew up and lost the connection to the divine, and our ego was formed through our environment, parents, and so on. Actually, our ego helps us to survive. For that reason, the Psychologists are not against the ego.Through spiritual, religious contemplation, we increase the divine inside of us. So that we get reconnected to the divine and can feel the divine as love, or bliss or calmness of the mind or as a Satori or Samadhi. Many of the holy saints or gurus are teaching us that we have to get rid totally of our ego to become divine, egoless, or enlightenment. And these gurus proclaim that they are egoless. The history tells us rather more that these so divine gurus have cheated us… We all lose our ego during our sleep. And when we wake up, our ego is back. After we experience a Samadhi or Satori, we are again in our ego. We can only lose our ego for a specific time and never permanently. If we break our ego permanently we will die… Because our ego is so intervened in our body and mind. We can't live without our ego. The great Guru Ramakrishna said we can't break our ego, we can only make our ego a servant of God or of the people… Instead, to build up more and more our selfish Ego, we can become step by step a servant of God. And this part is following the Christian, Sufis, Yogis, and Buddhists. And it starts that we try our best to serve our family, coworkers, clients, customer, God… If we combine it with spiritual and religious contemplation, we connect with God and experience the divine…. In this powerful episode of Recounting Life Lessons, we sit down with Mina Satori—a transformational business consultant, ontological coach, and advocate for visionary women looking to step into their true power and purpose. From a chaotic and unstable childhood, the impact of an elementary school teacher, losing her job in the mortgage industry during the housing market crash, and moving cross-country in an RV during the pandemic with no clear plan. Mina shares the lessons that helped her break free from old stories, trust her inner knowing, and create a life that aligns with her essence. Whether you're standing at a crossroads or struggling to believe in the next step, this episode will remind you that clarity, support, and confidence come when you move forward in faith. IN THIS EPISODE: What an ontological coach is and how this unique coaching stle helps shift your way of being How to recognize and trust your inner voice, even when logic says "don't" The power of rewriting limiting stories and shifting from a victim mindset to an empowered one Why you don't need a perfect plan to move forward—and how to "build the plan as you go" The truth behind the phrase "when the student is ready, the teacher appears" How to reframe painful past experiences into powerful catalysts for growth What it means to live in alignment with your true essence and spiritual intelligence Practical mindset and business stratigies Mina uses to help women entrepreneurs thrive. A FEW GOLDEN NUGGETS: Trust your inner knowing: Your intuition is wiser than you think. Create space to listen to that quiet voice and let it guide you forward. Rewrite the old narratives that are holding you back: The stories you carry from the past aren't set in stone. You can shift the lens and reclaim your power. Take the first step and build the plane as you go: You don't need all the answers before you begin. Start now. Clarity comes through action. Courage attracts support: When you move forward in faith, the right people, teachers, and opportunities show up to help you on your path. Send us a textStep into the world of mountain running's future with Jeremy Strom, the visionary behind Satori Endurance and coaching partner for the Skyrunner World Series. This conversation unveils the transformative potential of bringing authentic European-style sky running to American soil while nurturing the next generation of mountain athletes.Jeremy's concept of "Satori" – perfect focus without expectations – forms the philosophical foundation for his approach to mountain running. Unlike track or cross-country, mountain running offers a spiritual dimension that creates lifelong connections between athletes and wild places. Through his youth development camps and coaching, Jeremy is building crucial bridges for talented young runners seeking alternatives to traditional collegiate running paths. We dive deep into the technical elements that make sky running distinct – rope-assisted descents, exposure with real consequences, and terrain that challenges both mind and body. Jeremy explains how his upcoming Sky Camp partnership with Gravity House and the Skyrunner World Series aims to introduce more Americans to this intense mountain discipline while providing comprehensive training in mental preparation, technical skills, and physiological adaptation. The conversation explores fascinating contrasts between different mountain regions, permitting challenges facing race directors, and what makes events like Broken Arrow so successful. Jeremy's insights on neurofunctional training reveal how elite mountain runners process visual information at superhuman speeds while managing fear and fatigue.Perhaps most compelling is our discussion of perceived exertion as the ultimate limiting factor in mountain performance. Jeremy shares how changing your mindset can literally change what's physically possible for your body – illustrated by stories of athletes accomplishing seemingly impossible feats on technical mountain terrain. For anyone fascinated by the evolution of trail running, the mental game of outdoor sports, or the growing accessibility of mountain adventures, this episode offers a masterclass in the science, art, and spirit of running in high places.Follow Jeremy on IG - @jeremystromcoachingCheck out Satori Endurance - Satori Endurance Register of Skycamp ! - Skycamp Register for U23 Trail Camp ! - Elevate Mountain Running Camp

Satori provided pre-built reports and dashboards, a tailored data warehouse, and detailed data models that leveraged the popular Power BI software. Josh launched Satori, his second NetSuite solution, in 2019 and grew quickly in the NetSuite ecosystem, with a savvy team and no outside funding. Satori was sold it to private equity buyer Insight Partners in 2022 and combined with another NetSuite provider, Zone & Co. In this episode, Josh talks about the benefits and challenges of building add-on solutions in the NetSuite ecosystem, their ROI of non-dilutive funding and strategic angel investors, selling two companies then getting bored and restless, and starting his third company, Cauzzy.ai to provide AI-powered automated financial analysis and insights. Quote from Josh LaSov, founder of Satori Reports and Cauzzy.ai “When you have a good exit, you can assume the lifestyle that you desire to live, you can slow down. So from 2022 until starting Cauzzy.ai in 2024, I did that, I worked out every day. I listened to more podcasts than any human should listen to. I educated myself, read every newspaper and news site. I took time for myself “What I found was...it wasn't fulfilling. I needed more. I didn't want to be on the sidelines. I felt myself getting slower, like I was retiree. I appreciated the journey more than the destination. But there's a balance and I could achieve that balance. “I needed to do something, but I didn't want to just jump into something just to do it. I was to be patient until I found something that I was passionate about and that's realizable. I thought, I can do this again, I want to do this again. Let's take our time and focus a bit more on balance this time, but let's get back in the game.” Links Josh LaSov on LinkedIn Zone Reporting (formerly Satori Reporting) on LinkedIn Zone Reporting (formerly Satori Reporting) Cauzzy.ai website NetSuite website The Practical Founders Podcast Tune into the Practical Founders Podcast for weekly in-depth interviews with founders who have built valuable software companies without big funding. For Matt King, evaluating market risk is often about pinpointing vulnerabilities within the financial system. Over the many years he's been advising institutional investors, he's gone where the action is - in the dotcom era it was corporate balance sheets, in the pre-GFC period it was asset-backed CP and in the last decade it's been sovereigns and QE. Now the founder of Satori Insights, Matt shared his current assessment of risk on this episode of the Alpha Exchange. His materially bearish take is a function of what he views as US trade policy underpinned by both a misunderstanding of balance of payments math and a failure to appreciate the risks of chaotic implementation. On the latter, Matt worries that the US is earning itself a risk premium in the back end of its bond market, a troubling development especially set against the ever-growing pile of debt outstanding. Matt shows the spike in US real rates at a time when the VIX was also surging and the dollar falling as similar to the UK's "Liz Truss moment" in 2022, an event that forced the Bank of England to act quickly. Matt argues that while Democracy ought to be mean-reverting - where bad policy leads to bad outcomes and declining popularity, ultimately motivating a change of course, today's setup in the US is one in which bad policies impact growth and further poison our politics, reinforcing bad policy. Stepping back, he sees value in gold, noting that both gold and FX vol are still too low. I hope you enjoy this episode of the Alpha Exchange, my conversation with Matt King.

Today, we're joined by Maohao Shen, PhD student at MIT to discuss his paper, “Satori: Reinforcement Learning with Chain-of-Action-Thought Enhances LLM Reasoning via Autoregressive Search.” We dig into how Satori leverages reinforcement learning to improve language model reasoning—enabling model self-reflection, self-correction, and exploration of alternative solutions. We explore the Chain-of-Action-Thought (COAT) approach, which uses special tokens—continue, reflect, and explore—to guide the model through distinct reasoning actions, allowing it to navigate complex reasoning tasks without external supervision. We also break down Satori's two-stage training process: format tuning, which teaches the model to understand and utilize the special action tokens, and reinforcement learning, which optimizes reasoning through trial-and-error self-improvement. We cover key techniques such “restart and explore,” which allows the model to self-correct and generalize beyond its training domain. Finally, Maohao reviews Satori's performance and how it compares to other models, the reward design, the benchmarks used, and the surprising observations made during the research. And that we can read in the religious/mystical scriptures.Maybe we need the world as a distraction? No mystic could me explain why sex is not necessary, even we enjoy it…And then comes their answer: Don't enjoy worldly pleasures. So what, should we suffer when we have sex? I think we suffer when we have sex. At the same time, we enjoy it. Why should we not enjoy our sorrow?Life is sorrow (Buddha) Amen…Life is sorrow was the Christian trueness until the fall of Constantinople. Still, it is true for all the other Religions. Can we only experience bliss, divine love, God, Satchidananda, Samadhi, Satori when we renounce worldly pleasures? This formula has never worked out … Regardless where I look the people love to suffer and look for reasons to suffer. The Religions deliver that suffering and the people want more… If we suffer, we experience our deep feelings. If we don't have deeper emotions for a long time we long for sorrow…The Religions give people a reason to suffer when they neglect worldly pleasures. And so the sorrow is meaningful instead to suffer just for some worldly pleasures. In any case, we have to suffer … The world and our worldly desires help us to discover the divine or our true self. If we see the world as an expression of the creator, then the world becomes meaningful. What is inside is outside. What we see outside is always inside even more it starts inside. How can we purify us if we don't know what is inside of ourselves when we suppress our worldly desires/feelings/lust?The world is a reflection of us and helps us to purify us from our negativity. We can enter the spiritual realm when we:1.) Deep relax.2.) Have faith in God or our spiritual teacher.3.) Make the right spiritual exercises at best and not just so….4.) Go in the flow through body exercises.5.) Total exhaust our body through sport, dancing, or spiritual exercises. 6.) Try our best to get rid of our negative suppressed emotions and thoughts. And this has nothing do do with “the world is a distraction”…The spiritual realm is for everybody open!My Video: The world is a distraction https://youtu.be/To783OX7xMAMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast.B/The-world-is-a-distraction.mp3
Escuchar audio

You can visit Marche and her team at: https://satori.agency/ If you enjoyed today's episode, be sure to tune back in next week and please take a moment to leave us a 5-star review and connect with Chris and Greg on LinkedIn! About Satori Marketing: Satori is a noun. It's an adjective. Sometimes, it's even a verb (Wow, we need to Satori the ____ out of this). To most, it means sudden enlightenment. For us, we can't imagine any other way to do business. We move as one unit – Account Service, Creative, Media, Public Relations, Strategy and Social Media – and we move swiftly. We're driven by culture. Of the team and of the moment. We walk, talk and think like humans. We don't believe in fake, even when the waters get deep. You might call it the refined art of keeping it real. We call it the art of keeping it, well, Satori.
