Reading the new book from Mitch Albom called “Twice” (click HERE for the book info.) It gets us thinking about what if we got second chances to do things over? But we would have to live with that new choice. Also, it can be used for Love either. So many thoughts here that this is helping to see things in my life just a bit differently. I understand that what I have in my life, I would not risk changing things in my past to have what I have today.  It's also taught me a little bit, that at times, we do have a second chance - to say I'm sorry. To fix something at that moment that just got broken. The key is in the moment.  I hope this book gets you thinking about your life like it has for me. Make sure you check out all of Mitch's books HERE. Would love to hear about your thoughts if you are able to get this book or any of his books and what you thought of them. "There is something I want to share with you."Ca: L'aire es va omplir de petites pauses de silenci, només interromput pel camí d'un gos que corria perseguint les fulles voladores.En: The air was filled with small pauses of silence, only interrupted by the path of a dog running, chasing the flying leaves.Ca: Marc va agafar aire i va mirar directament als ulls del seu amic.En: Marc took a deep breath and looked directly into his friend's eyes.Ca: “Em sento com si hagués arribat a un carrer sense sortida,” va confessar.En: "I feel like I've reached a dead end," he confessed.Ca: “Treballar de dissenyador gràfic ja no m'omple. He rebut una oferta de feina. A l'estranger.”En: "Working as a graphic designer no longer fulfills me. I've received a job offer. Abroad."Ca: Els ulls d'en Jordi es van obrir com plats, però va mantenir el seu somriure aventurer.En: Jordi's eyes opened wide, but he maintained his adventurous smile.Ca: “I això t'atabala?” va preguntar, empatitzant amb la preocupació palpable a la veu d'en Marc.En: "And does that trouble you?" he asked, empathizing with the palpable concern in Marc's voice.Ca: “Sento que perdria més que una feina. Tinc por de perdre amistats, de perdre't a tu.”En: "I feel like I'd lose more than just a job. I'm afraid of losing friendships, of losing you."Ca: En Jordi va fer un gest amb les mans, ampli però sincer, com si volgués abraçar la mateixa situació.En: Jordi made a gesture with his hands, broad but sincere, as if he wanted to embrace the situation itself.Ca: “Quan vaig marxar de viatge, em vaig sentir com tu ara,” va dir amb serenitat.En: "When I went on my trip, I felt just like you do now," he said serenely.Ca: “Però, Marc, el que vaig aprendre és que les arrels no es perden quan busques el que et fa feliç. Si saps que aquest canvi és el que necessites, l'opinió d'un amic no hauria de fer-te dubtar.”En: "But, Marc, what I learned is that roots aren't lost when you seek what makes you happy. If you know this change is what you need, a friend's opinion shouldn't make you doubt."Ca: Marc va sentir una onada de relleu inundar-lo.En: Marc felt a wave of relief wash over him.Ca: “Gràcies, Jordi. De debò. No esperava aquest suport tan immediat.”En: "Thank you, Jordi. Truly. This episode is Part 1 of Stephanie's conversation with Peter Ferrigno. Make sure you're subscribed to get Part 2.In this episode, I'm joined by Peter Ferrigno, an expat tax veteran (CTA, FCA, CIPD) whose career spans Big Four leadership, immigration and relocation, and hands-on advisory across Europe. Peter has lived the expat life himself—Poland, the Czech Republic, and now Spain—so he understands the human side of cross-border moves as much as the numbers. We unpack what's driving today's migration out of the UK (non-dom changes, rising effective rates, inheritance tax exposure), how to compare destination countries in a structured, practical way, and why tax is only one part of the decision. The key thing to note here is that assets, income sources, and lifestyle priorities change the answer—property portfolios, flat-tax regimes (e.g., Italy/Greece), UAE vs. EU trade-offs, temporary non-residence rules on business exits, and the impact of abolished schemes like Portugal's NHR all feature. We also talk through Peter's simple matrix for shortlisting countries, the importance of immigration pathways post-Brexit, and the real-world factors that make or break a move—kids' schools, spouse integration, social networks. If you're weighing a relocation to or from Ireland or the UK, this conversation will help you frame the right questions before you act.Main Topics discussed in this Episode:Peter's Global Career and Perspective: Peter shares his journey across major firms and countries, shaping his people-focused approach to expat tax and mobility. The UK Exodus and Non-Dom Changes: We unpack why more high-net-worth individuals are leaving the UK and how Ireland and Europe compare.Tax Planning vs. Lifestyle Reality: Relocation isn't just about tax—family, lifestyle, and emotional fit often decide success abroad.Choosing the Right Destination Country: Peter explains his method for comparing countries based on assets, income, lifestyle, and tax outcomes.Immigration Pathways and Investment Residency: We discuss how residence-by-investment schemes support post-Brexit mobility and tax planning.Get in touch with Peter Ferrigno:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/peterferrigno1Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/peter.ferrigno/Chapters:(00:00) Welcome and Introduction(00:31) Meet Peter Ferrigno of Global Expatriate Tax Services(01:44) How Peter's Career in Global Tax Began(04:40) Living the Expat Life – Lessons from Abroad(06:01) Why More High-Net-Worth Individuals Are Leaving the UK(09:22) The Real Impact of UK Non-Dom Changes(10:12) How to Choose Where to Move – Tax Isn't Everything(12:52) The Emotional and Family Side of Relocating(15:10) Selling a Business and Temporary Non-Residence Rules(17:02) Comparing Tax Systems and Narrowing the Shortlist(19:05) Immigration Rules and Post-Brexit Challenges(20:33) Investment Residency and Final Takeaways*****If you loved this episode or have a similar story, we'd love to hear from you! Steve Coplon is our guest. Steve is a leader of evangelistic outreaches for the gospel in the US and around the world as well as former director of Life Choices of Memphis. Our conversation centers around a passage in scripture out of Colossians 2:1-8, where Paul instructs believers to be knit together by strong ties of love. He also tells us to have complete confidence that we understand God's mysterious plan, which is Christ Himself. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and understanding. This message is so vital for us in today's world so that no one will deceive us with well-crafted arguments, our faith would be strong, and our lives built on him. Steve also explains some definitions that he believes the church often misuses when talking about the church, revival, and intercession.

Have you ever faced a decision that left you feeling uncertain about which way to go? In today's prayer and devotional, Scripture reminds us that our steps are directed by the Lord, even when we can’t fully see or understand His plan. Christine Perry shares a personal story of feeling the Lord’s nudge to step away from her current path without knowing what would come next. What began as confusion and hesitation became a testimony of God’s perfect provision. Where Christine only saw uncertainty, God had already prepared opportunities for work, housing, and growth that she never could have orchestrated on her own. The truth is, our perspective is limited—we see only what’s right in front of us. God, however, sees the full picture. Trusting Him with our decisions means surrendering our desire for total control and stepping forward in faith, even when the path feels unclear. His direction may not always align with our original plans, but His way is always better. Today's Bible Reading "A man's steps are of the Lord; How then can a man understand his own way?" – Proverbs 20:24 (NKJV) Key Takeaways God often asks us to take the first step before revealing the next. Our plans may fall through, but God’s purposes never fail. Trusting His direction requires faith beyond what we can see. God’s provision and timing are always perfect, even when the process feels uncertain. Let’s Pray Together Lord, thank You for directing my steps, even when I don’t understand the way forward. Help me to trust Your wisdom and surrender my plans to You. Thank You for being my Shepherd, Provider, and Guide. Teach me to walk in faith, believing that Your direction is always good. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Justin Morris founder of TLB Ministries (Think & Live Biblically) is our guest. Justin talks about a season in his life where he felt “over-disqualified” to serve in ministry after leaving full-time vocational ministry. After twenty years of what he calls, “being on the shelf”, Justin sensed a redirection. God was leading him to pour his passion to think and live biblically into others. This ignited into a multi-faceted ministry of a podcast, directing the Fatherhood Program for Life Choices of Memphis, and developing a pre-marriage counseling initiative for couples before saying, “I DO”.

Most people spend their lives trying to outrun death instead of learning from it. This episode shows you why facing mortality directly can unlock resilience, forgiveness, gratitude, and peace while upgrading longevity, human performance, and even brain optimization. Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR Host Dave Asprey sits down with Suzanne O'Brien, RN—an end-of-life expert, hospice nurse, and founder of Doulagivers who has guided over 1,000 people through their final moments. She shares what the dying can teach the living about biohacking fear, letting go of unresolved trauma, and finding clarity before it's too late. THE GOOD DEATH VIRTUAL BOOK TOUR: Suzanne B. O'Brien RN in Conversation with Karen Midlo When Karen unexpectedly lost her husband, she embarked on a journey that reshaped her understanding of life and death, moving from her demanding role as an executive director in senior living during the COVID-19 pandemic to finding her true calling as a certified death doula and grief educator. In this episode, Karen shares her transformative experiences, showing how moments of deep challenge fueled her passion to support seniors and their families. Together, we navigate the complex landscape of end-of-life choices, including Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) and Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED), clarifying misconceptions and highlighting their significance. With an emphasis on clear communication and family support, we examine the impact of dementia on planning, drawing attention to valuable resources like the dementia toolkit from Compassion and Choices that help ensure informed, personalized decisions. Karen also reflects on the sacredness of end-of-life experiences, illustrating how, with the right education and support, these moments can shift from fearful to profoundly meaningful. Through her personal stories and dedication to community education, the episode underscores the importance of embracing conversations about death, concluding with gratitude for Karen's invaluable contributions and anticipation for future discussions that will continue to illuminate the profound journey of life and its inevitable end.   (00:02) Finding Purpose in End of Life (10:08) Exploring End-of-Life Choices and Planning (18:18) Embracing Life and End-of-Life Education (28:42) Empowering End-of-Life Education and Support (38:16) End-of-Life Education and Support    Join the waitlist for our Fall Live Semester  Register to join us for FREE: THE GOOD DEATH BOOK CLUB EXPERIENCE: 12 MONTH FREE DEATH AND DYING COURSE  Or visit our website here!  GET THE GOOD DEATH BOOK Here     Meet our guest: Karen Midlo End-of-Life Doula & Certified Grief Educator Email: eoldoulakaren@gmail.com Cell Phone: 281-910-3313 Website: endoflifedoulasid.doulagiverslegacyleaders.com  Please Share!   Know someone who is a caregiver, healthcare worker, or spiritual seeker? Hey yall! In this episode, I'm getting real about the pressures we face as women to hit certain milestones by a certain age, getting married, having kids, “settling down”, and how exhausting it is to feel like you're running against a clock. I talk about why life doesn't magically end at 25, why being single can actually be the most empowering time of your life, and why rushing into relationships or marriage just to “keep up” will never make you happy.I also get into the way social media fuels comparison, how people project their own insecurities onto you, and why it's so important to block out the noise so you can actually enjoy where you're at right now.
