Halstead and Rich Chassler for a deep dive into the entertainment industry, family influences, and the art of survival in show business. From performing at mobster-run comedy clubs in Brooklyn to landing recurring roles on major network shows, Adam shares candid stories about his Italian-American upbringing, his father's life-changing advice, and why being funny in the office doesn't make you a comedian. The episode touches on everything from vintage cars and Carnegie Hall to the emotional reality of watching your parents age while pursuing your creative dreams. About Adam Ferrara Adam Ferrara is a veteran stand-up comedian, actor, and podcaster who has spent over three decades mastering authentic storytelling across every entertainment platform. Best known for his recurring roles on Nurse Jackie (Netflix), NCIS as "Sloppy Joe Sammy," and Rescue Me, Adam represents the last generation of comics who cut their teeth in mob-run Brooklyn clubs before graduating to Carnegie Hall. The Rizzuto Show

Welcome to another beautifully unhinged episode of The Rizzuto Show, your favorite daily comedy show where common sense goes to die — usually in a parking lot.The crew kicks things off battling brutal St. Louis winter temps and the internet's worst cold-weather car advice (yes, people are still pouring boiling water on windshields… please stop). From socks on side mirrors to CD cases as ice scrapers, the gang relives the lawless era of frozen cars and bad decisions — including Moon's legendary rust-bucket meltdown that literally lost pieces of its door.Things escalate fast when Lern admits she keeps waking up strangers sleeping in their cars — at gas pumps, Menards parking lots, basically anywhere exhaustion meets poor timing. Is she a hero? A future Dateline episode? Or just Midwest-nice to a fault? Paramedics weigh in, the crew panics for her safety, and suddenly everyone's debating when it's okay to nap in a car without someone calling 911.From there, the show swerves hard into pop culture chaos: the unfortunate downfall of the name “Jeffrey,” why being named Jeff might be safer for your résumé, and how some names simply cannot recover from bad PR. Add in wild restaurant stories (including one that absolutely ruins Olive Garden for everyone), a debate over whether you'd eat at a restaurant that used to be a public bathroom, and a terrifyingly detailed breakdown of outdoor street urinals. And just when you think things can't get more serious — it's Super Bowl food time. Wings vs sliders. Nachos vs chili. Buffalo chicken dip vs spinach artichoke dip. Friendships are tested. Lines are drawn. Sandwich guy is absolutely roasted. It's a daily comedy show that somehow covers winter survival, human kindness, food rankings, and name shame — all before lunch. If you like funny stories, questionable judgment, and a morning show that openly argues with itself, congratulations. The Domino Affect, Part 3: Are You Sure About That? // Jamie Nunnally

Most of the regret in our lives doesn't come from the last domino—it comes from the first one. It started with a decision that we didn't stop to examine. In this message, Lead Pastor Jamie Nunnally teaches us to pause and ask, "Are you sure about that?" It's space between the dominoes that can stop the next one from falling. Lamentations 3:40 NLT Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. Most regret isn't from bad intentions—it's from unexamined decisions.1. What would I think about someone who made the choice that I'm about to make? We're really good at evaluating everyone else, yet God calls us to turn that discernment inward.1 Corinthians 11:31 NASB But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. The Word of God is first a mirror to examine our own lives, not a microscope to inspect everyone else's. You can tell a lot about yourself by paying attention to who else is making the same choices that you are. 2. Have I gotten Godly advice?Proverbs 12:15 NLT Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.Proverbs 27:6 NLT Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.Godly wisdom always makes room for godly voices. And if everyone agrees with you, you didn't ask the right people.  3. Will I want to tell this story?Haggai 1:5 MSG Take a good, hard look at your life. Think it over. Some choices create stories you hide; others create stories you cherish. You don't write your life story all at once. You write it choice by choice.  4. Do I really want to do this, or is this what others want me to do?Some of the most dangerous decisions happen when we confuse God's voice with other people's opinions.Romans 14:12 NLT "So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God."Other people can advise you, but only you will give account to God for your decisions. Make sure its what you really want to do. 5. Will this glorify God?Every decision reflects your devotion.Matthew 5:16 NLT In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Your choices don't just reveal what you value, they reveal who you worship. Before a surgeon ever makes the first incision, the entire operating room pauses for what's called a surgical time-out. Everything stops and the surgeon asks a series of critical questions. If anything is unclear, the surgery doesn't proceed—because once the cutting starts, you can't undo it.The more important the mission, the more intentional the questions. God often speaks loudest in the pause we're tempted to skip. Are you you sure about that?

Host Jim Ellermeyer welcomes Shane Chojnacki — a professional fighter, trainer, health advocate, and pro wrestler known as Victor Benjamin — for an honest and deeply reflective conversation about resilience, choice, and personal responsibility. Shane opens up about growing up in an environment marked by addiction, violence, and scarcity, while still finding moments of community, guidance, and protection. Rather than becoming a victim of his circumstances, he made intentional decisions to stay grounded in sports, discipline, and work — even when easier and more destructive paths were readily available. Throughout this episode, Shane reflects on learning from the mistakes of others, refusing to settle for less, and choosing action over self-pity. Jim connects these experiences to mindfulness principles, recovery thinking, and the idea that real change comes from effort, behavior, and consistent choices — not just intention or wishful thinking. Topics explored include: Growing up without a safety net Making conscious “wise mind” choices Learning resilience through adversity Taking action instead of living in “ifs, buts, and maybes” Betting on yourself when others doubt you Speaking intention into existence through action This is Part 1 of a continuing conversation that sets the foundation for deeper discussions on identity, growth, and mindful living in future episodes.
