Our first premiere of the week comes from Armed Response Unit's Will Boyle, as the young producer launches his solo project with a hypnotic and relentless thumper. Will's debut solo EP has a more stripped back and hypnotic approach, compared to the usual madness and soul crunching techno that we are used to hearing with Armed Response Unit productions, mixes and club shows. Prior to lockdown and the dance music pause button being pushed, Will and his Armed Response Unit partner Louis were on a roll, supporting techno giants Slam in Index, plus running their hard hitting ‘Speed Demons‘ club night and party, which specialises in banging techno with a large slice of raucous behaviour on the side. However, as we once again familiarise ourselves with a nationwide lockdown, the duo have been busy in their respective studios perfecting their collaborative and solo techniques. This has seen Will stack up a large bank of solo tracks from the last 9 months of lockdown, some of which are set for releases in the coming year. The 3 Track EP, which is being self-released on Bandcamp and various platforms, will be available digitally from February 20th.
