Box Box Box is a weekly Formula One podcast that offers a comedic commentary from the female perspective. Each week our hosts, Shannon, Sam, and Merel, cover a range of topics - from clowning on the drivers' bad instagram captions to discussing ways of promoting equality and diversity within the sport.
Baku! Baku! Baku! Ok this one is a bit late but it's a goodie, guaranteed. This week Shannon and Sam discuss their favorite race on the calendar, BAKU! The ever exciting race did not disappoint with drama, depression, and duct tape.
Two of the biggest sporting events? In ONE weekend? No wonder the gals had a hard time staying on schedule this week. From friends of the show doing well in the 500 to enemies of the show giving their all at Monaco, join Shannon and Sam as they break down the best moments of an eventful weekend.
R.I.P Chuck. His championship lead gone too soon. But it WILL return. Join the gals this week as they catch up on the GP they missed in Miami and reflect on all things Barthelona.
Yawwwwn... I mean uh. Hey there! Welcome to the most... energetic episode of the season! This week, Shannon, Sam, and Merel discuss the [insert adjective here] Imola GP! It had a lot of [noun] and [plural noun], but in the end, it was really [adjective].
Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oy oy oy! Let's go to a land down undah for this weeks race in Melbourne. Shannon and Merel discuss the race timing, coverage, and DNFs galore. After being skipped for the past two years, Melbourne came back with a bang.
In this episode, Shannon and Sam convince you to never listen to another episode of this god forsaken podcast ever again in your miserable life. From posting it 4 days late (sorry) to discussing their bad patterns of speech, this is overall a train-wreck of an episode. Skip this one and go listen to Episode 10 again. Yeah, that was a good one.
Well... this is awkward. Looks like it's just you and Shannon this week huh? It's ok, at least one of em bothered to show up. That's the thing about Shannon. She's never gonna abandon you. Remember this... Anyway so this week she's talking about the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix all by herself. And what a race it was. Maybe it's for the best that only one could make it to record this week because otherwise this episode could go on for like 10 hours with the amount of stuff that happened. But I digress. Please tune in, or else Shannon might cry. And no one wants that.
New year, new drivers standings! The Ferrari supremacy begins as we enter a new 2022 season and every team is feeling the shakeup. How did Bottas out qualify Russell in an Alfa Romeo? How is Haas ahead of Redbull in the constructors championship? And why did Pierre's car catch on fire? Join Sam and Shannon as they break down a wild first week of racing and the new normal.
The prodigal son has returned. In a fantastic effort by the writers of Formula 1, one villain has stepped away just in time to see the rise of another. Kevin Magnussen is back with a vengeance, and the gals are... honestly quite embarrassed about their vehement denial that he would come back in last weeks episode. Don't listen to that episode. Listen to this one.
Oh, hey, it's been a minute. So the gals have been on a hiatus for the past few months but they're finally back and ready to chat about all things F1. After a series of wild developments over the past few months, they tried to cover everything, but if anything was overlooked rest assured it will be addressed next week. Peace, Love, and Speed be with you. xoxo Box Girls.
This race was the most fitting way to tie up a season of absolute chaos. This week, listen to Sam, Merel, and Shannon recap an eventful final weekend and give their thoughts on the FIA's debatable rulings.
The girls return from a brief hiatus to recap the past couple weeks and discuss the VERY exciting penultimate race of the season. With Max and Hammy going into the final race evenly tied, who will prevail?
Interlagos? I barely know 'er lagos! This week Shannon, Sam, and Merel discuss the Brazil GP and all the penalties that ensued. And some of the penalties that didn't ensue but maybe should have. We're looking at you, Max Verstappen.
Vamos CHEEEEEEEEEECOOOOOOOOOOOOO! He may have only come third in his home race, but we all know Sergio Perez was the real winner of the weekend. Tune in as Sam and Shannon discuss the carrera en la ciudad de Mexico!

Shannon and Sam wanna be cowboys baby! Or at least it seems that way, since they're in the lone star state for this weekend's race. Tune in to hear their thoughts on the live experience of attending a race in real life.
Ooooh slippy! Oh no watch out or someone's gonna do a big uh-oh! Woah-WoooooAAAHHH. Oh that was a close one! >_< This week, Shannon and Merel discuss the... moist (?) race in Turkey.
The planets have aligned perfectly to tell us that Lewis Hamilton may (or may not) be this season's champion. That's right, our Capricorn King may not be thwarted by the Libra Dutchman if he plays his cards right. In this episode, the gals dive into the hard facts of astrology and use the scientific method to predict the outcome of the season. It's ONLY hard facts and logic from here folks!
Rain! No rain! Rain! No rain! It seems the weather gods and the F1 fans can't make up their minds anymore after the Belgian GP. Luckily, we got just enough rain to keep things interesting. This week, Shannon and Merel tackle the epic highs and lows of the Russian GP.
In a bit of a heavier episode this week, the gals discuss the brand new Schumacher documentary on Netflix. The documentary truly acted as a celebration of his life, and the gals were brought to tears by the end. Check out this week's episode for their full opinions, and check out Schumacher on Netflix!
Molto bene Mclaren! Who would have thought the first team to get a 1-2 victory would be our boys in Papaya. Nothing brings a smile to an F1 fan's face like seeing Daniel Ricciardo getting another opportunity to partake in a shoey. But is it ethical to make your teammates partake in the tradition with you? This week the gals delve into the philosophical aspects of the Australian's bizaar podium tradition.
This is a very special episode for all of our Dutch listeners out there! Super Max was able to deliver a P1 to his fans in the sea of orange, and the carousel of contacts has begun to spin. Tune in to hear Shannon and Merel's thoughs on the race, and who is going where next season.
Man, who doesn't love spending 4 hours soaking at the spa? But getting drenched while waiting for four hours in Spa, Belgium is just torture. This week Shannon and Merel discuss the shortest race in Formula 1 history, somehow also being the longest. Thank god they keep this one short and sweet, unlike some other official broadcasts out there.
Do you hear that in the distance? Shhh shh... it sounds like motors revving. Boy I think we're getting awfully close to race week. And thank god the gals have Le Mans 2021 to whet their ravenous appetites.
Shannon, Sam, and Merel pay tribute to the martyrs of the F1 community: fanfic writers. They drink the kool-aid, kiss the ring, and do some other metaphor to show obedience and compliance. Fanfic writers are the backbone of our society, and are to be both trusted and feared.
Oh yeah, the gals have truly kicked their feet up this week. It's summer vacation. So while the drivers are back on their boats; Shannon, Merel, and Sam are back on their bullshit. They speculate on who may be going where during contract season, and eventually delve into their personal dating applications for Mick Schumacher. So grab a pina colada, get your feet in some sand, and tune in this week for some nonsense.
This week, Sam and Shannon cover the slippery, slidey, and sloppy Hungarian GP. Did Bottas brazenly bowl into the Bulls by baccident, or beliberately? And which of our pre-season predictions finally came true? Tune in to find out!
This week the gals do a deep dive into the tumultuous history of the Force India team, and its controversial owner Vijay Mallya. Once known as the King Of Good Times, it would seem that his selfishness, incompetence, and disdain for the people of India created more bad times than good. If you've been wondering what exactly led to the destruction of the Force India team, this is the episode for you.
Oi Oi! It's Silvahstone, innit? This week, the lads have upheld the Bri'ish tradition by excluding Shannon just because her name sounds Irish. It's a right laugh! So Merel and Sam eat some beans on toast and discuss whether or not Lewis was acting like an absolute tosser in his victory celebrations? Was he being a bit of a wanker? Bit of a knob? A wee bell end?
You didn't REALLY think Sam was going to let all of those episodes without her slide, did you? In this minisode, Sam is here to set the record straight! Are Pirelli really making tyres out of helium balloons? Is there a tiny wizard in Lewis's brake system? Will Shannon and Merel ever get anything right? Find out in this bonus ep!
W Series? More like W Serious Disappointment. Ok that was a bit of an overstatement. The concept? Great. The branding? Not stellar. The drivers? Cool as hell. The commentators? Lacking. The cars? Decent. The streaming options? Almost non-existent. You can see why the gals were a bit mixed about this.
This week, the gals were pleasantly surprised with the race. Very speedy, very racy, very... penalty-y? Certainly very gravelly. Maybe a bit condescending-y? Thankfully very Lando-y. But disappointingly un-George-y. You know what we meany? Helpy, I can't stoppy.
SAM IS BACK!!! Just in time for the biggest snooze-fest of the season. To spice up the episode a bit, the gals fill it out with some literature sourced from the fans themselves. They kept it strictly professional and limited themselves to only works surrounding Mercedes AMG principal, Toto Wolff in order to continue with the Austrian theme for the week.
Ah, the scenic south of France. You could go to the beach, taste wines at a local vineyard, engage in a rich history... or get vertigo from the blue stripes in the runoff area of Paul Ricard Circuit. All Merel and Shannon can say this week is thank god for the Max Verstappen & Lewis Hamilton power struggle keeping one of the most boring races of the season somewhat watchable.
This week, Shannon and Merel welcome a very special guest to the pod (their friend Zach) to go where no podcast has gone before. In a truly groundbreaking episode, they finally unlock what men REALLY think about motorsport, and give a voice to the often silenced group of white male F1 fans. White men and podcasting are so rarely seen together, this episode hopes to tear down barriers and break that glass ceiling. We see you kings. And now we finally hear you.
This might be THE race of 2021. While Sam is away, Shannon and Merel will play (and remain totally unchecked while they make up absolute nonsense facts and mispronounce things). Join the gals as they recap the epic highs and lows of this race weekend, and discuss even more Ferrari conspiracies.
This week, I'm honestly not sure if there was a gas leak or something but the gals have completely lost their minds. They intended to do a deep dive into the pit crew and instead landed on conspiracies about what keeps happening to Bottas. Tune in this week and feel free to tweet possible diagnoses to us. Thanks!
This week the gals get bougie for the Monaco GP. This race had everything, heartbreak, redemption, random cuts to Lance Stroll, a confused Tennis star, Spiderman, and 3 beautiful women opening a Louis Vuitton suitcase.
This week Sam, Shannon, and Merel catch up on all of the news to come out of the week leading up to the Monaco GP.
This week Shannon Sam and Merel discuss the ever exciting Spanish GP at Barcelona. With so many ups and downs, twists and turns, the race ended up being a lot like the track itself!

Join us in trying to figure out some of Formula 1's most elusive questions: Did Kimi crash on purpose? How is it possible for literally every driver to perform worse than expected? Did anyone enjoy this GP?
This week Merel breaks down the career and legacy of Formula One legend, Ayrton Senna.
Its race week once again! This time the gals discuss the slippery Imola GP. Was it all excitement or.... a little boring? And whose fault WAS that accident between Bottas and Russell?
This week, Sam gives us the backstory behind all of the Alpha Tauri, Torro Rosso, Redbull drama. Why do the drivers seem like they're playing a game of musical chairs with one seat permanently occupied? Will Helmut Marko ever stop bullying Gasly? Find out in this week's episode!
This week, the gals break down the rollercoaster of Ferrari's performance over the past few years, cheating scandals, and backdoor deals with the FIA to cover it up. Will 2021 finally see a new and improved Ferrari? We certainly hope so for the sake of our fellow Tifosi out there.
It's lights out and away they go at the Bahrain International Circuit! Join Shannon and Merel in discussing the exciting first race of the 2021 season as they cover the highs, the lows, and more predictions for the upcoming season. How are we possibly going to wait 3 weeks for the next race?!
