Send us a textIn this live episode of "2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates," hosts Drew and Rob dive into the latest updates, rumors, and news surrounding Giants, as well as important developments from around the NFL. From Hall of Fame discussions to injury reports and Week 5 NFL picks, this episode covers it all for Giants fans. The episode kicks off with exciting news about four former Giants who are advancing in the selection process for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Giants legends Charlie Conerly, Carl Banks, Ottis "O.J." Anderson, and Everson Walls are among 60 former NFL players being considered in the Seniors category. The hosts reminisce about their impactful careers and contributions to the Giants. They delve into each player's accomplishments, including Conerly's 1959 MVP season, Banks' role in the Super Bowl victories, Anderson's MVP performance in Super Bowl XXV, and Walls' ball-hawking skills that helped the Giants win another championship.Next, the guys celebrate two current Giants who made the first-quarter All-Rookie Team as listed by The Athletic's Dan Brugler. Rookie WR Malik Nabers has been a breakout star, leading the league in receptions and racking up big plays, while safety Tyler Nubin has been a tackling machine, although he's still adjusting to the NFL's speed in coverage. While Nabers and Nubin have shown tremendous potential, fellow rookies Dru Phillips and Darrius Muasau received honorable mentions, adding even more excitement for Giants fans about the team's future.Injuries have been a major storyline for the Giants, and this episode covers the latest updates on several key players. WR Nabers remains in concussion protocol, while RB Singletary and CB Adoree' Jackson are battling groin and calf issues, respectively. Dru Phillips and edge rusher Brian Burns are also limited, raising concerns about how these injuries could impact the Giants' performance in their upcoming game against the Seahawks. On the Seahawks side, former Giants Leonard Williams and Julian Love are listed with injuries, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this matchup. The hosts break down how these injuries could affect both teams and what it might mean for the Giants' chances of pulling off a win.As WRs Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson face injury concerns, Drew and Rob speculate whether this could open the door for Jalin Hyatt to finally prove himself on the field. The Giants coaching staff has been hesitant to trust Hyatt so far, but with limited options, the rookie wide receiver might get his shot. The guys discuss Hyatt's downfield abilities and how Daniel Jones' struggles throwing deep could be a factor in this decision. They also mention how TE Theo Johnson and WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton could see increased playing time in this game due to the injuries.WrapBad Dadvice PodcastNew Dads giving hilariously bad advice about fatherhood, life and current events.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. The Seattle Seahawks secured a 23-20 victory over the New England Patriots, pushing them to the top of the NFC West. This week, we get into the key moments that defined the game, breaking down Geno Smith's exceptional day and the defensive plays that turned the tide in the Seahawks' favor. Geno put on a show, completing 33 of 44 passes for 327 yards and a touchdown, and receivers DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba also had strong performances and DK's 56-yard touchdown standing out as one of the game's biggest highlights. Ryan Grubb's scheme opened up opportunities for JSN throughout the game, which helped offset a lack of a dominant running game. We discuss whether or not this was a one-time thing, or if we're starting to trend toward a full-on passing offense when Ken Walker isn't in the backfield. Defensively, the Seahawks racked up 21 total pressures and three sacks. Boye Mafe, Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy were disrupting the Patriots' offense, while Julian Love's key block of a field goal attempt and his work in run support helped the Seahawks stay in the game. Special teams also came up big, with Jason Myers knocking through three crucial field goals and Dee Williams delivering a strong punt return. The Miami Dolphins are up next. Can Skylar Thompson take over for Tua and be the backup quarterback that ends up delivering the type of performance that Seahawks fans dread? It's going to be another big test for the Seahawks to stop De'Von Achane who could be catching a lot of short passes out of the backfield. In the second half of the show, we celebrate the Seahawks atop the division with the 49ers falling to the Minnesota Vikings and the Rams falling to the cellar in the NFC West. We shout out some of the flockers we ran into during our trip to Boston, and get a shoutout from a gathering in Sweden. We fight narratives in the football world and in space in the Do Better segment. A TikTok star, YouTube and the NFL all share the stage in this week's Better at Life. DK, JSN, and Geno did most of the heavy lifting on offense this Sunday. We had a case of the dropsies, couldn't run the ball effectively, but we got the big stops when we needed and our Seahawks exited Foxboro with a 23-20 W to go to 2-0 on the early season. On the defensive side, the Seahawks had a mixed day. While they struggled to contain the Patriots' run game, they excelled with the pass rush and limited the Patriots' passing attack. Hunter Henry was a thorn in their side early on, but the Seahawks' secondary, led by Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon, held strong against the Patriots' wide receivers. Julian Love came up big on multiple occasions. Not only did he block a field goal, he was responsible for some big tackles in the secondary. New Head Coach Mike Macdonald didn't have to wait long to get his first regular season victory taking down Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos in the home opener. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb's halftime adjustments led to a more aggressive ground game and helped set up a more successful passing attack. Interceptions by Julian Love and Riq Woolen rattled rookie Box Nix and helped play key roles in the win. Looking ahead to the matchup against the New England Patriots, stopping their run game will be a priority. DK Metcalf faces another tough matchup lining up across from Christian Gonzalez. But the Seahawks secondary should dominate once again against a questionable Patriots receiving group. In the second half of the show, we take a look at the performance of the Rams and the 49ers. Despite sustaining multiple injuries on the offensive line and at wide receiver, the Rams still managed to take the game to overtime. Reach out to us via social media, getintheflock.com or our Discord as we head out to Boston for the matchup this week. From Tyler Lockett's game-sealing one-handed catch to Kenneth Walker's dynamic second-half performance, we cover some of the biggest highlights from the Seahawks 26-20 victory over the Denver Broncos. While the defense was borderline dominant the entire game, the offense found a rhythm in the second half by shifting toward the run game. On defense, Julian Love and Tyrel Dodson were flying all over the field while Riq Woolen came up with a clutch interception at the end. The New England Patriots are up next and coming off an upset victory over the Bengals. Did we see the real Patriots or was it just a fluke? That'll be something we'll get into more toward the middle of the week.

Ask us a Lightning Round Question!https://www.latenightinseattle.com/ask-us-a-questionMain Event -NFL Free Agency started up. The Hawks have made some notable resignings and additions: re-signed DE Leonard Williams and TE Noah Fant. Brought back OT George Fant and traded for QB Sam Howell. -Sam Howell earns 10% of Drew Lock's salary this year and is younger than Bo Nix. Don't worry about the Hawks taking a QB in the draft.  - Bobby Wagner signed with the Commanders and Jordyn Brooks signed with the Chargers. -Tyler Lockett restructured his contract to take up less cap space. Talk about a team player.  -Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams are both gone. Rayshaun Jenkins (formerly of Jaxonville) was signed to a 2-year deal. Right now it's him and Julian Love in the Safety spot -Hawks also signed DAWG Nick Harris. Harris won 1st team all conference 2x at Center. Nice addition  Current Events -UW Men's basketball season is over. They announced prior to their final 2 games that they're firing Mike Hopkins after the season. They proceeded to beat top-25 ranked Wazzu in Pullman on senior night and then lose to USC in their final regular season game -The Dawgs had an instant rematch against USC in the 1st round of the final iteration of the Pac12 tournament. They lost by 5 in a game that saw them make 9 3PFGs in the 1st half. - A couple days ago, the last homegrown player Hop ever recruited, Koren Johnson, announced he is entering the transfer portal. KJ earned P12 6th man of the year award. Keion Brooks got 1st team all conference,. - Rumor has it the Huskies are targeting Utah St HC Danny Sprinkle to take over the program - A new March tradition has started this year: The Women's NIT. UW was fortunate enough to get an invite and they host Gerogetown at HecEd on Thursday evening.  - Mariners spring training is in full force with the season starting next weekend -They've scored more runs than any other Cactus league team and also given up the most runs of any CL team. ST results are historically meaningless, but if I have 1 takeaway from this I think it means the Mariners will be fun to watch this year.
