Morosi can understand why Dipoto’s comments could be a slap in the face to the fans that want this organization to spend more to win. // We have two teams in two sports that are running their leagues. Scott Servais was put in an impossible position, in more than one way. Chris and Nathan continue the hour MollyWhop marathon to tell us what kind of team Dan Wilson is inheriting right now. Plus, how safe is Jerry's job right now? Corbin Smith, Locked on Seahawks gives his first reaction to the Seahawks trading cornerback Michael Jackson to the Panthers for linebacker Michael Barrett. The depth at linebacker is a good add, while the Seahawks had an embarrassment of riches in the defensive backfield, especially at corner. Chuck Powell joins Ian in studio, after having predicted the Servais firing if the Dodgers series went the way it did this week. Neither of the guys want anyone to lose a job, but this move just makes sense. How much blame should be put on Servais or Dipoto for the careers that came to Seattle to die? Chuck gives Jerry Dipoto a lot of credit for what he's done here - if you want him out, be careful what you wish for. An adequate offense should be enough for this team to be a perennial postseason contender. We begin the cavalcade of fans weighing in on the Mariners. Brandon Funston, The Athletic kicks off the unofficial start to the weekend. Today, we talk quarterbacks as you prepare for your fantasy draft. Listeners let loose on the firing of Scott Servais, and boy do we have a lot.

Jason "Puck" Puckett, former KJR host, joined by Brad Adam, Root Sports, for his weekly conversation discussing the Mariners.  The majority of the conversation centered on who is to blame for their play?  Is it the fault of ownership, the front office or the manager?  Puck and Brad both agree they all share blame.  if they do miss the playoffs and make changes at the end of the season, do they just fire Scott Servais or do they also include Jerry Dipoto and the front office into that equation? Why do so many of the players they acquire struggle to hit here?  Servais seems to get all the blame for the offense, but for some fans he gets no credit for how the pitchers perform.  However, Dipoto and the front office get all the credit for the pitching staff, but none of the blame for the offense?  Puck heads out on vacation and will be back on Sept. 2, he asked Brad if the M's will have a deficit that is greater or lesser than five?

Julio got thrown into the fire without a rehab assignment - why? Is Victor Robles' most recent performance sustainable? His contract is extremely club friendly, so why didn't he bet on himself? Has your opinion of Mariners ownership and the front office changed over the last few weeks? Ian applauds them for filling out their outfield.  Steven Souza evaluated the Victor Robles deal and while he applauds Dipoto for getting it done, it's also a bit of a stretch considering his career numbers. He tells us the perspective from both the player and club side.  A listener posed the question whether we'd like Jared Kelenic or Victor Robles right now, and we'd all take Robles. Plus, over in the NFL, we give the latest on the Brandon Aiyuk rumors.  Joe Sheehan, The Joe Sheehan Newsletter joins us to react to the Mariners signing Victor Robles to an extension, where they stand in their ability to make the post-season and why there's less value in getting the top seeds right now. However, a first round bye is ideal.  Julio Rodriguez didn't get a rehab assignment prior to rejoining the team and it begs the question 'why'? Steven Souza joined Softy and Hugh yesterday and gave an inside perspective on why that was a bad choice. Sometimes the player needs to be protected from himself.  The Daily Power Play!  We had too many great moments out at Seahawks training camp and one of our favorite interviews was with Seahawks defensive end, Mike Morris. We revisit the best part of that conversation where he takes us inside this time of year.
