Wondering which NFL games are the most consequential in Week 12? Well, so did we. So with the help of the amazing Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated we created a Top Five list. (He also weighs in on the Ja'Marr Chase spit debate. TLDR: Dad of newborns don't flinch.) We also have Mike Ryan Ruiz join in to provide insight into the uniforms of the AFC East. It's a division that's lost its way. There's some Shadeur Sander chat, too. But the spiciest debate happens when we decide who is best Transformer. (Soup says Grimlock. But do The Dinobots count?) We're entered into Week 12 of the NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs are looking like a team that might not make the playoffs. And yet, no one wants to meet them in the playoffs. It seems like there are no good teams and no bad teams in the NFL. (Aside from the Browns. Calling 42!) But at this point in the season, few things are making sense. That's why we have former Kansas City Chiefs Lineman Geoff Schwartz here to tell truth from fiction. The debate gets heated on this episode of Football America!, then piping hot when Mike Fuentes says we need to replace Turkey with Carnitas for Thanksgiving. Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's whether the Pittsburgh offense can go toe-to-toe with Cincinnati's in a shootout. In the last five games between the Steelers and Bengals, every time Cincinnati has had Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins available to them, they've scored at least 30 points. The Pittsburgh offense is coming off its worst game of the season, managing just 10 points after a garbage-time touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. But it may be up to that unit to find a way to return to form, and secure victory for the Black and Gold. Can they do it? Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. November 12, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 49 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making several transactions since our last show with one of those being the signing of CB Asante Samuel Jr. to the team's practice squad. After going over all of the recent transactions, that also includes rookie QB Will Howard being activated to the 53-man roster from the Reserve/Injured list, Alex and I talk about what kind of player the Steelers are getting in Samuel. We also discuss the possibility of Samuel making his Steelers debut as early as Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers will have several notable injured players worth tracking these next few days, so Alex and I run through that list based on the information that HC Mike Tomlin provided on Tuesday during his weekly press conference. As usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of Tomlin Tuesday. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about S Jalen Ramsey, the Week 10 usage of RB Jaylen Warren, the possibility of WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling getting elevated sooner rather than later, and much more. Tomlin gave us several things to discuss on this Wednesday, so we spend quite a bit of time doing so. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday night road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered from that. We start with the offense and that includes a discussion about how poorly QB Aaron Rodgers played, the explosive plays he missed, the running game output, third down failures, and much more. Should WR Roman Wilson start receiving more playing time than WR Calvin Austin III moving forward? Alex and I discuss that topic as well as whether we are concerned about Rodgers coming off his poor showing on Sunday night. Alex and I make sure to discuss the play of the Steelers' defense against the Chargers and how that unit started to wear down in the second half. We look at the first half running success the Chargers' offense had in the first half related to the second half. Alex and I mix in quite a few tape observations during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. This 110-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. What a week! So many takes being took right now. Think about it: If not for the Browns, the 2 worst teams in football would reside in New York. And if not for a Jackson Dart concussion, Brian Daboll would still be the head coach of the Giants. Sean McDermott is wasting Josh Allen's prime. Epidurals should be considered PEDs. (Matt Stafford couldn't move in preseason. Now he's having the best year of his career.) If the Patriots win the AFC East, Drake Maye has to be the MVP. Meanwhile, let's keep the Sam Darnold MVP take and add onto it the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Favorite takes! We vet all these thoughts with Jonathan Zaslow. Then former NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz tells us why it's so hard to bet on NFL games. Matt Jones and Drew Franklin discuss their busy weekends before diving into NFL Week 10! The Patriots notch an impressive win over the Bucs. Daniel Jones and the Colts moved to 8-2 with a win in Berlin. The Bears collect another comeback win as Russell Wilson plays for the Giants. The Jets made history in a victory against the Browns. The Jaguars collapsed in the 4th quarter with the Texans. Matt mentions the lasting impact of former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, who passed away. The most surprising result of the day had to be the Dolphins win over the Bills. Josh Allen has a bad day as Matt is also knocked out of the Survivor Pool. After a 1-5 start, the Ravens have now won 3 straight games. The Panthers fall to the Saints. Matt thinks the flyover at the Commanders game was a bit too low. The Seahawks cruised past the Cardinals. Did Matt Stafford fuel his MVP hopes in big Rams win? The Steelers have lost 3 of 4 after losing to the Chargers.
