Jai Shields begins part 2 of his Week 18 recap by ripping into Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley for his asinine coaching decisions that ended up costing the Los Angeles Chargers a playoff spot thus abruptly ending their 2021 season. Jai also criticizes Matthew Stafford, Sean McVay, & the Los Angeles Rams defense for blowing a 17-0 lead to the San Fransisco 49ers in their overtime loss to close out their 2021 regular season. Shields also expresses his disdain for QB Carson Wentz after his abysmal Week 18 performance that helped get his Indianapolis Colts eliminated from 2021 NFL playoff contention. To close out the show, Jai Shields gives his take on the Miami Dolphins firing head coach Brian Flores on Black Monday. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/tell-it-like-it-tiis/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/tell-it-like-it-tiis/support
Rich and Brockman debate if the Bill Belichick coaching tree has been a failure so far with his two latest disciples, Brian Flores and Joe Judge, getting fired by the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants, and if NFL teams would be wise to stay away from Belichick assistants in the future. Rich recaps the craziest moments from a wild NFL 2021 regular season including Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans giving Tom Brady's 600th TD pass ball to a fan, Dolphins OL Robert Hunt's amazing touchdown that wasn't a touchdown vs the Baltimore Ravens, all of Urban Meyer's many follies, Antonio Brown's strip down meltdown, Chicago Bears LB Cassius Marsh getting a questionable Taunting flag and subsequent hip check from referee Tony Corrente, and the Los Angeles Chargers vs Las Vegas Raiders incredible overtime throwdown thriller to end the regular season. CBS Sports Announcer and the voice of the Brooklyn Nets Ian Eagle tells Rich that he's so desperate to stay warm this weekend in Buffalo that he's willing to wear Kurt Warner's super-shiny-silver puffy jacket, why he has full confidence in Bills QB Josh Allen but has questions about Patriots rookie QB Mac Jones in his first career playoff game, and why the Nets reversed course and brought back the unvaccinated Kyrie Irving to play in road games. Rich ramps up his no-so-subtle bid to host this year's Academy Awards show. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome to 25 Yards Later, Sports Obsessive and Rumination Radio Network's fantasy football podcast! It's Week 18, and while the vast majority of fantasy leagues have wrapped up their seasons (including our two hosts, who each secured championships last week), we're still here to wrap up the 2021 season and make sure that anyone that still has a championship to come is ready with previews breaking down the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts. It's also our last weekly podcast for a while, so we will see you all again in February. After a news rundown (and yes, we talk Antonio Brown), Nick and Allijah hand out their awards, including fantasy MVP, championship performance of the year, and waiver wire pickup of the year. Most of the segment is devoted to compiling our All-Fantasy team, with our intrepid hosts recognizing some of the top fantasy performers of the year. There are some no-brainers like Cooper Kupp and Jonathan Taylor, but other spots were much more hotly contested---and maybe even controversial! Why is Nick suddenly so into the Bengals? Were Derrick Henry's eight weeks enough to land him on the All-Fantasy team by themselves? Is Zay Jones actually good? Is Michael Pittman a player that you can trust, even against a hapless Jaguars team? Which obscure wide-receiver has impressed in the wake of Antonio Brown's departure? Which surprising running back is not only the RB1 since Week 14, but has also caught Allijah's eye? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this week's episode of the 25 Yards Later Fantasy Football Podcast! Follow us on Twitter @25YLFF, @nickgluciano, and @allijahmotika. You can listen to 25 Yards Later on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Breaker, Pocket Casts, and RadioPublic. Not only did AB take to social media to try and ‘expose' everyone from Bruce Arians to Tom Brady, but now we've got a woman coming out of the woodwork suggesting that Brown may have spread COVID to the rest of the team after a late-night tryst. Today's word of the day is ‘part time lover' as in Stevie Wonder as in Kyrie Irving is back in the news with his return to court coming tonight in Indiana. Why is his first start on the road? Irving is unvaccinated so he cannot play any games in his home arena because of New York City rules against unvaccinated people. Kyrie has missed the team's first 35 games, but he's back. (11:35) NPPOD. (12:45) Let's followup on the conversation again about Joe Jude, the Mara family, and the New York Giants. Is Judge safe? What will happen with Dave Gettleman? The Giants have been so bad in recent years something needs to change. (20:00) Jalen Hurt penned a letter to the Washington Football Team after what took place at FedEx Field. Never seen anything like it. (31:55) Review: The Comey Rule. (36:45) So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Someone asked me a question about the scenario the NFL has found itself in. There's a way that the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders can tie and both make the playoffs. How does this happen? How does the NFL let something like this happen? TV deals. Why don't these games start at the same time to avoid nonsense like this? (44:55) Fantatics bought Topps. Here's why that's important. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Los Angeles Chargers travel to Las Vegas to take on the Las Vegas Raiders with the winner claiming a spot in the NFL Playoffs. The Chargers came out on the winning end in the last meeting against Las Vegas winning 28-14 and are coming off a 37-13 dismantling of the Broncos. The Raiders pulled off a stunning upset against the Colts 23-20 and are currently on a three-game winning streak. The Raiders have fought through a lot of adversity with several off-the-field incidents and having there Head Coach resign in the middle of the season, can the Raiders pull off another upset and keep their season alive? Los Angeles has been inconsistent all season with great wins and shocking losses, which Chargers team will show up in this big NFL Week 18 matchup with a trip to the NFL Playoffs on the line? San Francisco takes on the Los Angeles Rams and are looking to hold on to the last playoff spot in the NFC. The 49ers are currently 9-8 and can punch their ticket to the NFL Playoffs with a win in this game against the Rams. Los Angeles however has already clinched their spot in the playoffs and is looking to win the NFC West division and can accomplish that by beating the 49ers. A big question for San Francisco going into this game is how well will rookie QB Trey Lance play if Jimmy G isn't able to suit up come game time? The San Francisco 49ers have won 5 straight over the Rams including a 31-10 beat down on Monday Night Football this season. Can the Los Angeles Rams end their struggles against the 49ers? Can the 49ers extend their win streak over Los Angeles to 6 games and clinch their spot in the NFL Playoffs? Both Pittsburgh and Baltimore are looking to make the NFL Playoffs but only one can keep their hopes of the postseason alive by winning this game and getting help. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, they currently are 8-7-1 and if they hope to make the playoffs they need to beat the Ravens in this game, while also having the Colts lose to the Jaguars, and for the Chargers and Raiders matchup not to end in a tie. If the Baltimore Ravens want to make the playoffs they must win this game against the Steelers, have the Jaguars also win against the Colts, and for the Dolphins to either get a win or tie with the Patriots. The Steelers offense has struggled all season but beat the Browns on Monday Night behind a strong performance on the ground led by rookie RB Najee Harris, however, will they be able to keep up there success on the ground against the Ravens who have the best-run defense in the NFL allowing the least amount of rushing yards per game? Will the Ravens get their star QB, Lamar Jackson, back or will they have to once again find a way to win without him? Can Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger get one last regular-season win for the Pittsburgh Steelers to keep their playoff chances alive? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support
