It is tight end season on the Dynasty Nerds pod as Rich Dotson, Matt O'Hara, and Garret Price dig into 2026 TE dynasty buys and sells at one of fantasy's most volatile positions. If you need affordable production, the crew makes the case for Mark Andrews as a low risk bet with Lamar Jackson still leaning on the position and a contract extension adding security. They also highlight AJ Barner as a cheap stash with youth, steady growth, and a scheme fit that could keep the arrow pointing up. For upside on a discount, David Njoku comes up as a player the dynasty community has cooled on, but who could rebound in a better offense if free agency breaks right. The big sell call is Jake Ferguson, a tight end who may be priced at last year's touchdowns and volume rather than repeatable traits. Sam LaPorta also gets the sell label due to back surgery risk and a Detroit offense that may not feed tight ends like it once did. Finally, Brenton Strange is flagged as a surprising TE13 price in an offense that has not consistently funneled targets to the position. Explore more tools and resources to stay ahead of your league.
The Seattle Seahawks are now two-time Super Bowl Champions and it still feels surreal. We're continuing the celebration with a full walkthrough of the win over New England and a preview of some of the major offseason topics. Seattle set the tone early, flipped field position through elite special teams, and leaned on a dominant defense that consistently harassed Drake Maye. Kenneth Walker kicked off his campaign for MVP early and the offensive line established their physicality on the first play of the game. Some outstanding plays by the Patriots defense kept Seattle out of the end zone in the first half, but Jason Myers was still able to help build a two-score cushion going into the half. The defense continued to overwhelm New England in the third quarter and held them scoreless. The contributions throughout the game included sacks by Devon Witherspoon, Byron Murphy, Derick Hall and rookie Rylie Mills. As Maye continued to get rattled, it led to key turnovers. Julian Love called his own interception as we saw in the mid'd up version of the Super Bowl. Byron Murphy recovered a fumble that led to the Seahawks only offensive touchdown by AJ Barner, and a Witherspoon pressure gave Uchenna Nwosu a score to match the Seahawks offensive touchdown output. We tackle the debate around Sam Darnold's performance—praised for poise against pressure and also criticized for a missed end-zone throw and a completion percentage that was among his lowest of the season. Offseason questions emerge along the way. How does Seattle sustain a title run? How should they handle some key free agents like Josh Jobe and Tariq Woolen? Do they need to approaches their big-money extensions for JSN and Witherspoon before making some of the more difficult decisions. Coaching and organizational themes surface too, from Mike McDonald's game planning and halftime adjustments to the team's continuity of culture. The episode closes with shout-outs to our members of the flock, listener emails, parade moments, and a nod to Jody Allen as the steady hand atop a championship organization. It's #8 at 8 as MATT HASSELBECK joins us for the final time this season. - How will Matt be celebrating today? - What did he think of that defensive performance on Sunday? - What does he have to say to the critics of Sam Darnold? :30- Let's be honest, if DK Metcalf and Geno Smith were still here, we wouldn't be celebrating today. Yes, DK is very talented and Geno was good while here, but the moves allowed this team to get where they are today. :45- Nick Emmanwori has quickly become a fan favorite after a remarkable rookie season. Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com Superbowl… t's actually been fascinating. Mike Macdonald is doing stuff he hasn't done all season long to just completely confuse Drake Maye and the Patriots. He rarely blitzes, and he is blitzing the CRAP out of Drake Maye tonight. Seattle's scoring: All points initially came from kicker Jason Myers, who hit four field goals (tying a Super Bowl record for most in a game, all from shorter distances like 39-41 yards). This gave Seattle a 12-0 lead by the end of the third quarter. First touchdown: Late in the game (early Q4), Seahawks QB Sam Darnold connected with tight end AJ Barner for a 16-yard TD pass, making it 19-0 (with the extra point). This came right after a key forced fumble by the Seattle defense on Patriots QB Drake Maye. Patriots' response: New England finally got on the board with a touchdown pass from Drake Maye (to Mack Hollins in some reports), cutting it to 19-7. Their offense has struggled significantly, with very few first downs and low yardage (e.g., around 58 total yards at one point in the third). Defense dominates: Seattle's defense has overwhelmed the Patriots, holding them scoreless through three quarters—the second Super Bowl ever with no TDs through three quarters. Kenneth Walker III and the Seahawks' run game have been effective, while New England's offense has been stifled. YOu might miss this: Yardage disparity: Seattle has racked up far more yards (e.g., 252+ at points) compared to New England's anemic output, highlighting how one-sided the trenches and play-calling have been. Turning point Halftime show… cool, but needed more life on the stage like dancers etc… But the kid rock / Joe Rogan montage was absolutely fantastic… loved it. When love becomes selective, it stops looking like God's Love. The Pattern** Every wrong love in Scripture has one thing in common: It centers on self instead of surrender. Our biggest failure in love is we always first see how it should be applied to us and very rarely to other others. Jesus said “love your neighbor as yourself”. We apply that is positive situations… but what about negative, problematic, painful situations. Where the other person may not exactly deserve love according to how they are treating us… AGAIN - love your neighbor as yourself. When you are like that - and yes you, me all of us are like that - how do you want to be loved? Remember Every wrong love in Scripture has one thing in common: It centers on self instead of surrender. Now here is the kicker… every wrong love in our lives has one thing in common - it centers of self instead of surrender. When I want to be loved the way I want to be loved - when I am at my worst - but I don't want to love others in the same situation and in the same way - I am the ultimate hypocrite. **lets practice self love on others… make sense? I hope so. Now go do it!
GENE STERATORE (CBS Rules Analyst) Gene knows all about refereeing in big games, so we get his insight into the preparation for this week. What do we know about this SB crew? Here is Seattle Bill Leavy was the ref that stood out as costing the Seahawks a Super Bowl, did that stay with him throughout the rest of his life? Did he get nervous for big games too? Should NFL refs be more represented in the NFL Hall of Fame? :30- ERIC SAUBERT (Seattle Seahawks) Super Bowl week is here and the Seahawks are IN the Super Bowl, has it set in yet for Eric? What is it about this team that has given them the success this season? We should be careful when we're coming up with goal-line plays on Sunday… :45- Nick Emmanwori just has it and he's only a rookie. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Did we just witness the Game of the Year? Down by 16 points in the fourth quarter, the team overcame the odds with a pivotal punt return, a wild two-point conversion, and an incredible touchdown grab by AJ Barner. Sam Darnold overcame early turnovers and led his second straight comeback win, while Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker III put up more yards on the ground than the Rams offense that didn't look like they could be stopped. The defense, after struggling to contain the Rams early, locked in when it mattered most. And thanks to all that craziness, our Seahawks have now secured a spot in the postseason. The Seahawks put up 35 points on Sunday, but the interior of the offensive line did not grade out well according to Pro Football Focus? What goes into the grading metrics and how does a player like Anthony Bradford get a zero grade in the pass game? We contrast Bradford's performance with Grey Zabel on the opposite side. A mix of the quick game, moving the pocket and some elusiveness form Sam Darnold helped to make this offense shine and performances by AJ Barner and Tory Horton are helping contribute to this offensive success. The conversation shifts to the defensive side, where linebacker and secondary play were notably problematic. Missed tackles and lapses in coverage allowed the Buccaneers to convert multiple third-and-long situations. Up front, the pass rush wasn't effective and that leads to a discussion about potential moves the Seahawks could make. Pursuing Trey Hendrickson from the Bengals could bolster the defensive line, but would the cost be worth it? Are there some other potential trade options the Seahawks should consider?
