On today's episode, host Kate Lindsay and Slate staff writer Luke Winkie debrief after Luke's scene report from outside Nancy Guthrie's Arizona home. The 84-year-old was reported missing on February 1, and ever since, true-crime creators have been livestreaming from her home, spreading theories, and profiting off her disappearance without any journalistic or investigative experience. Independent creators redefining news and media isn't necessarily a bad thing, so why does this feel so sinister? This podcast is produced by Daisy Rosario, Vic Whitley-Berry, and Kate Lindsay. Dr. Felecia Froe guested on the Planet Wealth podcast, hosted by Mary Kathryn Johnson, for a powerful conversation about investing through fear, rebuilding after loss, and creating financial freedom with purpose. She shares her journey from board-certified urologist to social impact real estate investor, including losing everything in 2008 and choosing to start again anyway. From sober living homes to grocery stores in food deserts, this episode highlights how money can create both personal freedom and meaningful community impact. 00:00 – From Surgeon to Investor: The Voice That Wouldn't Go Away 04:46 – Losing Everything in 2008 — and Starting Again 09:46 – Identity, Fear & Refusing to Stay Stuck 16:31 – Investing Through Fear: The Worst Case Scenario Test 22:11 – Money Working for You vs. You Working for Money 28:46 – Social Impact Investing: Turning Profit Into Purpose 34:01 – The One Rule for Investors
The Pajama Party officially begins tomorrow when prospects don their pjs and try to impress all of the NFL scouts. Is there anyone Seahawks fans should keep an eye on? Well, that depends on the Seahawks free agency situation; with 6 free players who are free agents, it's a matter of who the Hawks can bring back and who will move on. Who do we see moving on? :30- ICYMI Bryan Woo joined the guys at Spring Training last week, so we revisit a couple minutes of that conversation with the M's starting pitcher. :45- Is it time for a complete uniform overhaul? The community has spoken! We want the throwbacks! The Seahawks in the blue and silver and the Mariners in the blue and yellow, that's what the fans want, but apparently it's a lot harder to change your uniforms than we thought!

We talk with Michael Bradley who has taken on Murdoch as well as defending the rights of refugees about what it takes to be a lawyer and a change maker at the same time. He shares his 20 year journey from conventional law to a different kind of lawyering that he has now practiced for 17 years at Marque Lawyers – and how he now centres his legal practice around relationships. He also shares a few war stories of how he has used the law to fight for justice, including the battle against Lachlan Murdoch's attempt to sue Crickey for defamation.Whether you are a lawyer or you are a lawyer sceptic – there is something powerful in Michael's dissection of the legal profession and his identification of a different way to practice the law. This was first released in April 2025.Via our Website - https://changemakerspodcast.org (where you can also sign up to our email list!)On Facebook, Instagram, Threads - https://www.facebook.com/ChangeMakersPodcast/Blue Sky Social - changemakerspod.bsky.aocial & amandatattersall.bsky.socialOn LinkedIn - Amanda.Tattersall Hosted on Acast. Welcome to today's ICYMI, where we kick off the week with a quick game-changing tip from one of our guests that you might have missed. Your to-do list Is lying to you… not everything is urgent, and productivity isn't about doing more. It's about doing what matters most. As Greg McKeown says: “When you prioritize the important over the urgent, you don't just get more done, you get the right things done.” And that's the difference between a busy life and a meaningful one. We're throwing it back to 3 practical steps to master prioritization using principles from productivity minimalism and Essentialism. We cover the Law of Inverse Prioritization, and effective decision-making questions to filter every task and commitment. Listen to our full episode here. In this ICYMI article-read episode of I Hear Design, we explore Radford University's Artis Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity, an interdisciplinary, student-centered hub that brings the health sciences and the arts under one roof based on a recent article published by interiors+sources. Designed by Hord Coplan Macht in collaboration with William Rawn Associates, the 178,000-square-foot facility replaces siloed departmental space with shared, multipurpose environments—from studios and maker spaces to tech-enabled collaboration zones—helping reduce redundancies and deliver a more efficient footprint. You'll also hear how the building's campus-connector strategy turns the facility into both a destination and a thoroughfare, while universal design solutions address a challenging 60-foot grade change to support barrier-free access, belonging, and wellbeing.
On today's episode, host Kate Lindsay is joined by writer Charlie Sosnick to break down “looksmaxxing.” While the trend—which involves things like jaw surgery and “bone smashing” to achieve mathematically-determined levels of attractiveness—has existed for some time in incel forums, creators like Clavicular have brought it mainstream. Now, teenage boys are growing up with their own kind of beauty standard, one that insists their success in life is determined by arbitrary factors like the width of their clavicles or tilt of their eyes. Rooted in racism and eugenics, the movement risks normalizing a new kind of masculinity that's barely even human. This podcast is produced by Daisy Rosario, Vic Whitley-Berry, and Kate Lindsay.
