Michael Phelps BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. In the past few days Michael Phelps has been making plenty of waves both in and out of the pool. Easily the biggest headline is his sharp criticism of USA Swimming leadership during the 2025 World Championships. Phelps posted a lengthy Instagram critique where he accused the organization's leadership of causing a noticeable decline in Team USA's swimming performance. He specifically cited the disappointing medal percentage at the 2024 Paris Olympics the lowest since 1988 and described organizational issues like “poor operational controls” and weak leadership as the primary reasons for the sport's struggles in the US. Notably Phelps clarified that his criticisms are directed at leadership not at the athletes and he even stated he'd be hesitant to let his own sons compete in the sport given the current state of affairs. He urged for an independent review of USA Swimming and laid out recommendations including adopting an athlete-first approach and rebuilding grassroots participation. Phelps finished by offering his own help “my door is open and there is work to be done” and the post has generated major conversation throughout the swimming world according to AOL.Phelps has also kept himself visible with a high-profile appearance on the Monday Night Football Manningcast alongside Peyton and Eli Manning. A Baltimore native and passionate Ravens fan Phelps brought his trademark personality to the broadcast trading banter and predictions. The conversation even touched on a running joke about people confusing him and Eli Manning in public which both seemed to enjoy. During the show and recent social media exchanges Phelps talked about teaching Ravens players how to swim during a team training camp event underscoring his ongoing commitment to both his hometown and sports outreach. SwimSwam recapped the highlights of his football appearance describing Phelps as funny and insightful with clear expertise on sports dynamics. In the business and advocacy arena, Phelps has been announced as a keynote speaker at the upcoming Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Businesses Summit in Washington DC on October 29 and 30. This is billed as the largest gathering of small business owners in the US and Phelps will be lending his voice along with leaders like David Solomon, Michael Bloomberg and others. The summit will focus on entrepreneurship, technology—especially artificial intelligence—and shaping business policy on Capitol Hill according to Goldman Sachs and Fox Business. At a time when viral moments can hit social media instantly, Phelps' open letter, his Manningcast appearance, and advance buzz about his DC summit speech have all been picked up by fans, media, and business leaders. Recent Substack commentary has compared his competitive “winner takes all” mindset to the entrepreneurial climb while mainstream platforms remain focused on the long-term impact of his vocal leadership in US swimming. No major personal controversies, endorsements, or speculative rumors have surfaced these past few days but the clear trend is that Phelps is pivoting into an activist and business thought leader role without losing his connection to his athlete roots.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Today on THE PROCESS, a limited series within Y-Option, Rhett Lewis and Yogi Roth welcome one of the greatest players, and minds, football has ever known: Peyton Manning.Fueled by our founding sponsor 76®, keeping you on the GO GO GO so you never miss a beat, today's conversation with a Hall of Fame quarterback will impact your life. When we created THE PROCESS, Peyton Manning was one of the first names that came to mind. While he admittedly rarely outran defenders or had the strongest arm, he had an edge that all of us can learn from and apply to our lives–his process around preparation. From the yellow notepads he filled as a freshman at Tennessee to the way he elevated teammates in Indianapolis and Denver, Peyton has always been defined by the unseen hours–the tape study, the details, the conversations that made Sunday's look effortless.Highlights from Our Conversation* Preparation as a competitive advantage: Peyton shares how film study became his weapon at Tennessee and why counting your hours of preparation misses the point. If you love something, you will pour into it.* Leadership is earned, not given: Being the No. 1 pick didn't make him a leader overnight. He had to meet adversity, look it in the eye and compete through it as a rookie.* Chase What Matters: Peyton turned down commercials early in his career, choosing football first. His advice to young QBs today: be patient. Find clarity around the thing that matters most, and for QBs, it's mastering your craft. Then be disciplined as the opportunities will still come.* Advice to Parents in the stands: From watching Eli as a camper at the Manning Passing Academy to now watching his own kids play sports, Peyton reminds us the role of parents is to support, not coach from the bleachers.* Life after football: His neck surgeries forced him to reinvent himself and in doing so, he discovered resilience, perspective, and the truth that identity is more than a position. We all likely struggle with that and his lens on identity is powerful.* The Next Chapter: Whether it's the ManningCast or winning Emmy's, Peyton's second act still leans on THE PROCESS he built as a player: ask questions, surround yourself with great people, and maintain a Growth Mindset. So, What's Your Process?Every coach and athlete talks about “trusting the process.” Peyton Manning lived it. And in this conversation, you'll see how his habits, mindset, and humility apply far beyond the football field. This isn't just a look back at a Hall of Fame career. It's a masterclass in preparation, leadership, and life. And we guarantee you will laugh, learn and hopefully share this conversation with someone else who is navigating their own Process in life.Much love and stay steady,Yogi and RhettY-Option: College Football with Yogi Roth is a reader-supported publication. Star Tribune Vikings writer Ben Goessling joins host Michael Rand for a deep preview of the Vikings' opener Monday night against the Bears. What will the Vikings defense do without Harrison Smith? Should we expect more from the run game? How will J.J. McCarthy look? And how has McCarthy's life prepared him for this moment? 33:00: Sam Pepper, executive producer of the "ManningCast," joins Rand to talk about what goes into the alternate Monday night broadcast. Plus a special guest on Monday's opener, Randy Moss, that you won't want to miss.
Comedies, dramas, animation and reality may be Hollywood's bread and butter, but when it comes to what Americans actually watch the most, it's live sports — and now, an avalanche of shoulder programming to support it. As ESPN, NBCU and Amazon spend $76 billion on NBA games alone over the next 11 years, Manningcast spawns imitators and sports docs and series eat up space once reserved for scripted, Elaine Low, Sean McNulty and Natalie Jarvey reveal the aftershocks to traditional TV (hint: grab the hot dogs and peanuts). Then Dealmakers' Ashley Cullins dives into the wild state of entertainment M&A right now, including why insiders are hyped about Hailey Bieber's $1 billion Rhode sale, and what they're saying about investors' sudden interest in management companies, who'll win the old media Hunger Games, and what in the world happens with Lionsgate. Recorded: August 26, 2024 | In this Best of the Bus episode, the boys landed a true White Whale of a guest — the one and only Peyton Manning. Peyton invited Will and Taylor to his Knoxville bar, Saloon 16, to sit down for an interview in what could only be described as a “Peyton Manning Museum” of a room. Everywhere you looked on the walls, there was a legendary moment from the two-time Super Bowl champion’s career. Peyton opened up about growing up as a Manning and the advice and wisdom his father, Archie, passed down to him. He reflected on his decision to attend Tennessee over Ole Miss, how he approached leadership through the lens of his father and other mentors, and what life had been like after stepping away from the game. The boys also touched on Peyton’s work in the sports media world, with Omaha Productions making huge moves in digital and broadcast content. His hit show, The Manning Cast, which he co-hosts with his brother Eli, had become a Monday night staple, and Peyton was looking to build on that success. Of course, Will and Taylor kept things light, digging into Peyton’s rumored history of pulling epic team pranks over the years — and even questioning if Eli might be the real “King of Pranks” in the Manning household. From Knoxville to Denver to Indy, Peyton left every city better than he found it, both with his on-field greatness and his humility off it. Looking back on his stat sheet, awards, and iconic moments, it’s easy to see why so many around the world considered him one of the greatest of all time.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Speaking of elections, we discuss what voting and cake have in common and perhaps want to join arms in a grass-roots movement to save the nation. After the break, we discuss pepperoni and an innovation that Canada is bringing to pizza. We need your help either finding what we're looking for or your ideas on how to ask our local shops to flosserize our toppings. This week in streaming, Dillon shares final thoughts on Agatha All Along as well as Tom Papa: Home Free, Axle F, and more Manning Cast with Jason Sudeikis. #275. DOWN WITH BIG MUMPKIN! How do you feel about elementary school fundraisers? Let us know via the LinkTree below! As for us, we're generally not fans. PTA's are great, schools need our generosity, but are we doing our best? We also talk about hotels and how reliable a reality it is that the usb ports in the lamp aren't going to work. But at least there's breakfast in the morning. We then discuss nostalgic modern experiences such as mechanical bowling and mini-golf bars with an honorable mention to bowling alley pizza. On the back half, we have a champion amongst us, and Kory has a juice recommendation along with a tip on where to find swanky hotels at affordable prices. We do a lot of catching up in streaming. This week we're watching The Bikeriders, Easy Rider, Civil War, Parasite,Dazed and Confused, Don't Look Up, Agatha All Along, The Holdovers, Whites, Joker, and Manningcast. Enjoy! Boomer said Aaron Rodgers' arm is still strong and he can still make great throws. Rodgers is taking a ton of his with the Jets. No matter how you slice it, the Jets are 2-4, so Gio doesn't care if they're in every game and all the games are close. The season is not over, but they have a lot to fix. A caller is looking forward to the Jets season 14 years from now when Jordan Love is the QB. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Howie Rose as Starling Marte singled in Pete Alonso for a little insurance. The Yankees beat the Guardians thanks in part to a HR by Giancarlo Stanton. We heard Kevin Harlan on the call as Aaron Rodgers threw an interception late that sealed the game for the Bills. In the postgame press conference, Rodgers was basically blaming Mike Williams for the interception. Bill Belichick was on the Manningcast and backed Rob Saleh while also saying he doesn't like the Jets (except for Fireman Ed). He clearly does not like Woody Johnson. Robert Kraft talked about the day Brady left to go to Tampa. He said it was like ‘losing a child' and that Brady cried the whole time. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talked about the ‘For You' section of X and what it's giving him. There's a pic going around of Diddy, J-Lo and Jay-Z that is probably fake.
Hour 1 Lots going on with the local teams but we started with the Mets win over the Dodgers to tie the series 1-1. Gio said the Mets are walking way too many guys. Vientos said he took it personally when they internationally walked Lindor to get to him with the bases loaded. There are a few Mets who are trying too hard at the plate. That's Francisco Alvarez and Jose Iglesias. The Yankees beat the Guardians in game 1 and Carlos Rodon pitched great. You got homers from Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton and Weaver shut it down in the pen. Pete Alonso had a great slide into home and a great stretch at first on the huge double play. Jerry is here with his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Jets losing to the Bills, 23-20. There were way too many penalties in this game. Rodgers' interception late was a key part of the loss. Jerry has the sounds of John Sterling as Juan Soto homered. We heard from Howie Rose as Mark Vientos hit a grand slam. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said he is irrationally hating Shohei Ohtani. Gio remembers Mike and the Mad Dog loving ratings talk as to who had more viewers yesterday, the Mets, Yankees or Jets. Hour 2 The Jets lost to the Bills last night but the offense did look better. Breece Hall had his best game of the season. But the penalties and mistakes are still there. The interceptions at the end of games are still there. Rodgers is definitely going to miss games this season because of an injury because he is getting hit a lot. They also have a second half issue on offense. If not for a miracle hail mary to close the first half, this game isn't even close. There were a ton of penalties in the game and they had to go back to New York to see what they saw. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Jets missing 2 FGs. Aaron Rodgers talked about the interception and he seems to be blaming Mike Williams. Carlos Rodon had himself a nice night going 6 innings of 3 hit ball with 9 K's. Jerry has the sounds of Howie Rose as Francisco Lindor led off the game with a HR. In the final segment of the hour, this Sunday night's Jets game against the Steelers is going to tell us a lot about the future of the Jets. Boomer said the Jets have lost 3 games by a total of 10 points. They are in every game, unlike the Dallas Cowboys who have been blown out. Hour 3 Boomer said Aaron Rodgers' arm is still strong and he can still make great throws. Hour 4 We talked about the Mets tying the series 1-1. C-Mac said the only way the Mets season is ruined, is if the Yankees beat the Mets in the World Series. Gio disagrees with this. Boomer is only focused on the Dodgers and is not worried about the World Series right now. Boomer wants to enjoy the ride as a Mets fan. Jerry returns for his final up ...

Why are MLB umps so arrogant? How come replay in baseball - which *should* be the most reliable and easy - is seemingly the worst? Well, I dive into one of the worst officiated MLB games of the year with MR X and "Houston Scottie" before me and Mr. X move on to more important stuff: like listeners blasting him for quoting an NFL total that moved 1/2 point (eye roll). It's Debate Night in America as we will finally see Kamala Harris in the wild. No notes, no prompter, no aides to cut off the questions. Here we go... I've got all the details. Video of Tyreek Hill being pulled over has been released by Miami policy and Hill is exposed as a spoiled brat and a liar. Shocker, huh? Hill was actually telling the cops what to do instead of complying with their demands and then rolled his shaded windows up as if barricading in his car. That's a really big no no and led to Hill being cuffed and then exposed him as a total liar in all his comments to the media. What a loser. GOP congressman Thomas Massie drops the best truth bomb you've ever heard about Congress, the Yankees blast the Royals and Chris Jones fails at comedy on the Manningcast. Then, Mike Gundy has some Trump in him and did something Kamala should do at his new conference. It's epic and leads to only one conclusion... Gundy for President 2028.
Recorded: AUG 26th 2024 Episode #292 is here, boys! Oh, and boy, do we have a White Whale of a guest for you! The one and only Peyton Manning invited us to his Knoxville bar, Saloon 16, to interview him. Will and Taylor sat down with "The Sheriff" in what can only be described as a "Peyton Manning Museum" of a room. Everywhere you looked on the walls, there was a legendary moment in the 2x Super Bowl Champion's career. Peyton opened up to The Boys about growing up as a Manning and the advice and wisdom his father, Archie, instilled in him. He spoke about his decision-making process when selecting Tennessee over Ole Miss, how he views leadership through the eyes of his father and other mentors, and what life looks like after retiring from the game. Peyton Manning's production company, Omaha Productions, is making huge moves in the sports digital/broadcast media industry. His show, "The Manning Cast," which he hosts with his brother Eli, is a fan favorite every Monday, and he is looking to build on their newfound success. Will and Taylor also keep it light for The Boys and dig into Peyton's rumored past of epic team pranks that he has pulled throughout the years. Eli is even brought up as potentially rivaling Peyton as the true "King of Pranks" in the Manning household. Knoxville, Denver, and Indy are all better places because Peyton Manning graced them with his incredible on-field talent and unmatched humility off the field. Looking back at his incredible stat sheet and long list of awards and trophies, it's easy to see why Peyton is often referred to as the "GOAT" by many around the world. In this week's intro, Will and Taylor break down their trip to A&M to watch the Fighting Irish take on the Aggies, their meeting with Shane Gillis, Johnny Manziel, and Von Miller, and they recap the CFB Week 1 matchups. Be sure to look out for The Boys' new show, The Locker Room. Their weekly gambling show will be covering CFB and the NFL this year, making sure no Tier 1's are left out of the mix. We are also offering a call-in segment for YOU to give The Boys your picks (stay tuned for more info from Will and Taylor). Delanie "The Mule" Walker will be joining the helm, with even a rotating guest picker each week. So, do me just the smallest favor... turn up those dials, smash that subscribe button, and LOCK IN!! The Boys love bringing content your way every week, especially when we have guests like these. Be sure to tell a friend if you enjoyed this episode and send a link their way. There's always room for 1 or 2 more on the bus. BIG HUGS... (and then lean in... a lil closer... come on...) tiny kisses... and have one heck of a Tuesday, boys! P.S. lil timestamp warriors... best be ready for Mitch to bring the heat below.
