Self-reflection is one of the first steps one must take before fully understanding not only what they want for themselves, but also from a potential partner. Some might already have embarked on this journey and found someone to partner up with. Some might be optimistic and hope to find love one day. Others might be broken and are constantly searching within. And then there could be those who are damaged but refuse to let anyone in or go down that conjoined path ever again. On the season 3 finale of EiTHER, these 4 stages of love (or lack thereof) are explored to their fullest. Recurring guest and listener favorite Helen (formerly thehealingheaux but now datinghelen) will be joining and moderating this episode – breaking down the walls of the EiTHER fellas and diving deeper behind what drives them to have these viewpoints on love and relationships. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but why is it scrutinized by so many external parties? There are over 7.5 billion humans on planet earth, so if someone is looking for love, there is bound to be a person for him or her. Depending on your beliefs, love and marriage are typically viewed as a monogamous partnership, so who cares what others think if, at the end of the day, it is a relationship that only concerns the two people involved? Such a simple thought, yet never easy to think through and accomplish. No matter what, people will have something to say about you and your loved one. One of the hottest topics, if not hottest, discussed amongst peers is interracial dating; specifically between a white person and a black person. As the world continues to be a melting pot, the number of mixed babies birthed into this world has skyrocketed. What’s become very common, is still heavily debated. Battles of the Sexes will serve as a safe haven for men and women to get off their gripes about the opposite sex. Each side will have an allotted time when they are allowed to get their points off. EiTHER’s first annual Battle of the Sexes will be split in two parts - The Release and The Healing. The Release will consist of one side speaking from a man’s perspective and the other side speaking from a woman’s perspective, with each side allowing the opposition to speak with no interruption. The Healing will then bring both sides together to figure out what men and women can do moving forward to eliminate the divisiveness. What you’ll hear is an example of the disconnect we face today between men and women. Now more than ever we need to be supportive and understanding of one another. And sometimes in order to hear that side, you need to let it all out… Press play, listen, and hear sides of vulnerability that may have been pent up until now. #TrunksUp
