First, in the August 15 edition of Heat Vision, The Hollywood Reporter's exclusive column for all things comics, horror and sci-fi, Borys Kitt claimed that their sources confirmed Deadpool's inclusion in Avengers: Doomsday. However, later that day Deadline refuted the speculation by citing their own sources who said the actor has not been seen on the London set and is not intended to appear in either upcoming Avengers film. In less nebulous Doomsday talk, Nightcrawler actor Alan Cumming described his experience returning to the role as healing, after a terrible experience on 2003's X2. It's a big week for DC Studios with Superman hitting Video-On-Demand last Friday and Peacemaker Season 2 premiering this Thursday. While on the red carpet for the show's debut in New York, DC Studios head and Peacemaker's showrunner James Gunn defended Superman's quick availability for home viewing after just 35 days in theaters, by sharing how the film impacts the series. “It's a big part, definitely Superman leads directly into Peacemaker,” said Gunn, while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter. “Superman leads into this show and then we have the setting up of all of the rest of the DCU in this season of Peacemaker, it's incredibly important,” he continued. TV-MA. We welcomed a cultural shake-up with our guest whose graciously donated their personal time to be on a show, halfway around at the world at 3am his time. He did it,  he does this, we do this... to help spread a message of hope that keeps us both accountable and grateful for our life up to that point. This perspective shift in concept eluded us for so long until we finally realized that self-importance, self-happiness generates low self worth and  is an illusion that was running our undetectable self esteem. "Ease your grip and gain control"...doesn't connect the historical logical experience to reality by definition at all. The euphemism, part of an oxymoron, says by that a certain action will produce very unexpected results. As lifelong addicts, we need to be reminded that the old adage, “the slip comes before the fall" sounds clean and wise. And through relapse and failure, we continue to learn, thinking, “I know how to beat it I next time. If I just do this like this way or that like that, the desired results will come populate as ration dictates. To those of us who experienced this phenomenon can attest to it's veracity. By doing (or not doing) the opposite of the behavior that's failed in the past, we feel a regained sense of control just generally by being aware of executing different defense mechanisms and ultimately a better place of rest for our mental health.

Hot off the heels of July's San Diego Comic Con, Disney continued their full court press last week with the D23 Expo, where a smattering of announcements were made. So, let's tackle the latest and greatest news from the House of Mouse's more geek-centric divisions Regarding Marvel Studios, Disney Plus was front and center, with a fair amount of official, as well as leaked footage, released; delighting fans worldwide: A fresh trailer for the WandaVision sequel series, Agatha All Along, debuted, accompanied by a live performance of an original song titled "The Ballad of the Witches Road." The Daredevil: Born Again trailer seemed to generate unanimous positivity, with hype moments such as the return of Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. It also gave D23 audiences their first glimpses of the costumed vigilante White Tiger and a new villain, Muse. A first look at Ironheart also debuted, confirming the series is still on the way. Beside the return of Riri Williams, other new details include Anthony Ramos as The Hood and an appearance from Shuri. On the film side, the splash was not as big as SDCC, with much of that material being recycled, but new images and footage for both Captain America: Brave New World and The Fantastic Four: First Steps were showcased, which included a taste of Michael Giacchino's main musical theme for the quartet. Over in the galaxy far, far away: Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni showed off the first footage from The Mandalorian & Grogu, which will be the first new theatrical release for Star Wars since 2019, as well as the first based off of a Disney Plus series. The official trailer for the Jude Law-led Skeleton Crew debuted, giving fans a tease of the Speilbergian influence. We also learned more about Jude Law's character, a force user named Jod Na Nawood, via the plot synopsis. Lucasfilm also showed off some footage of the upcoming season of Andor, which confirmed more Rogue One character returns. Diego Luna also revealed the next season takes place over four years in a series of time jumps. Bringing it back to Marvel with their animation offerings, the D23 panel provided significant updates on several series: While Marvel Zombies is still “a while out” we now know it will be four episodes and rated TV-MA. Eyes of Wakanda will also be four episodes long. What If…? voice actor Hudson Thames, will reprise his role as Peter Parker for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, with Colman Domingo voicing Norman Osborne and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. The series will premiere November 2, 2024. Finally, honing in on Disney's “homegrown” projects, as Bob Iger promised, sequels were all the rage: Pixar won the day in terms of the amount of project news. A very brief Toy Story 5 teaser trailer indicated the return of Woody and Brad Bird was announced to return to direct Incredibles 3. Zoe Saldana joined the cast of Elio, which is now slated for May 2025. Hoppers was announced as the studios next feature, with Jon Hamm in a villain role. Dream Productions, an Inside Out spin-off series, and Win or Lose, a new series focusing on a little league team, were also announced. Trailers for Moana 2, Mufasa: The Lion King and the Snow White live action remake were released, as well as new details for Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2. Frozen 3 will get a pre-Thanksgiving release of November 24, 2027 and they released concept art. Plus Frozen 4 is already in early development and The “live action” version of Stitch from Lilo & Stitch also made his debut. On Saturday, Deadpool and Wolverine reached the milestone of becoming the second R-Rated movie in history to cross $1 billion dollars at the international box office. It is nipping at the heels of Joker to become the highest grossing R-Rated movie of all time.

In this episode, we hear from Dr. Bill Liska, TVMA's 2024 Distinguished Career Achievement Award Winner at TVMA Annual Conference & Expo in Irving. Dr. Liska received his DVM from Iowa State University in 1973. He completed an internship and surgical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York in 1976 and became Board Certified by the ACVS in 1980. He practiced  in Houston until 1988, when he founded one of the largest multi-disciplinary veterinary specialty hospitals in the country. Dr. Liska was awarded the AVMA Practitioner Research Award in 2009 for his canine and feline hip and knee replacement studies.Support the show
