We have Megan Cavins from Simply Simmer, an up and coming Youtuber, Blogger and Sims 4 Builder, chatting with us all about the game Sims 4 (along with other popular games), stop-motion building, movies and TV Shows, and working from home during quarantine. She builds scenes/locations from popular shows and movies, such as Tiger King, The Office, Frozen, Up, Walking Dead, The Simpsons, How I Met Your Mother, etc. You can check them all out here: https://www.youtube.com/simplysimmer19
This week we practiced #socialdistancing by having our first ever remote podcast episode with author and fellow podcaster Joshua Wise! Joshua is the creator of the All Ports Open Network, which is a network consisting of various types of podcasts (including us!) ranging from religion to gaming and everything in between. On this episode we got carried away with talking about shaking hands, what's up with Batman's undies, Jesus conspiracy theories, the history of Christianity, and if there is a possibility that Princess Peach is a "true prophet."
Due to being stuck inside, we have Jodi, Vadym's wife, joining the podcast this week to talk about what they have been doing during the quarantine to keep themselves from going crazy. They also discuss in detail the serious topic of how COVID-19 will affect our future and the future of the generations to come.
I think we officially joined the cult this time by bringing back another musician, Olivia Dagley, from The Cult Sounds! She stops by to talk with Vadym about their tragedies, injuries, and other traumatic situations. Of course, as usual, they also geeked out over music and instruments, and also briefly discussed their stance on turtle porn. Don't ask questions, just listen.
Russians unite again for this week's episode/therapy session! Giorgi comes back by to get a little more comfy in the studio, talking about dieting, fetishes, music gear, relationships, and the relevant topic of coronavirus. Surprisingly no russian was spoken, but plenty of dick jokes were mentioned.
Maggie Gravier from Roaming with Purpose stops back by the studio (with more Stag!) for a more slow, thoughtful conversation with Vadym. Coronavirus, blogging, travel, priorities, possible future careers, and death were the key topics during this week's episode. Unfortunately, there was no burping contest this time (but maybe next time!)
It's all about the arts on this week's episode! Stan (@18andcounting)is a jack-of-all-trades, who plays music, teaches, and creates various forms of art. Stan and Vadym dive deep into talking about how Stan contributes to the St. Louis art scene and about what his artistic future holds. Disclaimer: Vadym and Stan definitely spend a few minutes (or probably more, you'll see) geeking out about music gear too.
Lot's o' fish tits comin' at ya! We had the pleasure of sitting down with special guest and well-known St. Louis-based artist Killer Napkins to talk about his work, creative process, influences, video games, why expensive art is not always the best kind of art, and many other things! He also dishes on where his iconic artist tag comes from (and it's not what you expect!). Disclaimer: no fish or tits were harmed in the making of this episode.
For our 50th episode extravaganza, one of our friends named Tegan stops by to have a heavy conversation about media, politics, internet culture, 4chan, antifa, right and left idealogies, and how to use percentages. We also theorized on how to make the world a better place and whether you should or shouldn't punch a nazi.
Savannah Horn is a social studies major and a current educator who gives us a lesson on many important subjects, such as about the importance of education, parenting, single-gender classrooms, and, as always, a little bit of politics and economics. She also touches on why learning cursive is still relevant in today's times.
Ryan Sever, this week's special guest, stops by to talk about his personal experience about being in the military, living abroad, politics, guns, and the importance of knowing survival skills in the modern world.
Based on popular demand, Cousin Chris is back! This time Vadym and Chris met up to talk about the "real" vacation, along with heart problems (and where they come from), conspiracy theories, not having a TV, and how to get into heaven. We know, it's random, but we promise, it all makes sense.
You probably shouldn't pour two shots of vodka in your white russian, but you can have two Russians on a podcast and still have a great time! This week one of our fellow comrades Giorgi Matveev, a musician, teacher, and podcaster, comes on the show to talk with Vadym about their similar yet different cultural upbringings, along with music (of course), daddy issues, death, and why you should always take your shoes off at home. A free short Russian lesson is also included in this episode, no registration/fee necessary.
We have a returning guest on this week's episode! Artist + Creator Severin Amselfürst swings back by to get drunk and talk about lots of random things before going to Disney World. The conversation goes from gender relationships, to No Fap, and then to traveling. Listen to find out all of the funny and weird stuff in-between.
Happy New Year! Vadym might not have 20/20 vision, but he's got a good vision for 2020! What a better way to start off the new decade than to talk music with Tyler Smith, a local music producer/multi-instrumentalist from St. Louis, Missouri. Of course, this week's episode also involved a lot of inappropriate jokes and conversations, but we'll worry about that later.
This week we have a super cool dude named Judd Demaline on the podcast! Judd is a photographer/content creator, but this time he is in front of the camera (and microphone!). This episode is brought to you by a long and interesting conversation, filled with the use and misuse of words (both good and bad), Star Wars, Politics, lots of laughs, and the importance of moisturizing... We'll let you think on that one. #awkwardsecrethandshake
We got more talk about music on this week's episode! Ryan and Jordan, both members from The Cult Sounds - a “post-punk goth rock” band (with various influences) from St. Louis stopped by to talk about music, gear, concerts, vinyls, and lots of other junk. Disclaimer: No one was hurt in the making of this episode. We promise...maybe. #gothlife
We had the pleasure of having another member of Discrepancies on the show for this week's episode! Lead singer Antonio stopped by the studio to chat about the band and their new album, and his side solo project. Lots of great talk about music, from metal to hip hop and everything in between! Don't forget to support your local music scene, y'all.
This week we have a great episode with Megan Kennedy, who is a diversity and inclusion specialist that focuses on helping businesses give minorities a better chance to succeed in the workplace. Megan has a very interesting story about how she came to be in her career, and talks about the difficulties of being both deaf and blind but still playing a big role in breaking the stigma and changing the world.
Are you still dreaming about that six pack? Well, our special guest Danielle LeBeau has got bad news for you on this week's episode. Danielle, owner of SoHappiHealth, is a life coach who dishes (no pun intended) on all the secrets about why you eat the things you eat and other difficult life decisions. She’ll also tell you why you SHOULD buy six tubs of ice cream... that’s right, SIX. You won't need to hit the gym after this episode.
We got Pedro Velasco in the hizzle fo shizzle for this week's episode! Pedro is a visual artist, specializing in airbrushing and calligraphy. This week we talked about all kinds of awesome art related things (which also comes with lots of ridiculous tangents), business, and even a brief introduction on the chicano culture in America.
This week a very special friend and blogger Maggie Gravier from Roaming with Purpose joins Vadym for beer, conversation, and a burping contest. Maggie is a traveler and photographer who started Roaming with Purpose a few years ago in order to inspire others. On this week's episode, she inspired us about hiking, women's rights, and pooping in the woods.
This week our special guest Michael Joseph dives deep, beginning with time traveling, to dietary preferences, to conspiracy theories, and eventually to gender roles in society. A really interesting conversation, sprinkled with ridiculous tangents and punchlines, of course.
Art isn't always about drawing dragons, but sometimes it can be. This week Vadym goes down a slippery slope of understanding art, self worth, and the recipe to gravy with the one and only Nick Nihira, who is an art professor, printmaker, and musician. There may or may not be a quiz at the end of this episode.
Eating disorders, alcoholism, and addiction overpower this week's episode as our special guest Julia Miranda speaks about her personal experiences with overcoming these struggles in her life. Sometimes the truth hurts, and sometimes its okay to not be okay, and Julia really puts this thought into perspective in this more serious podcast episode.
It's all about the bacon! On this week's episode, Vadym was very excited to speak with Mary Bogacki, a longtime chef and owner of Yolklore. Yolklore is a breakfast concept in St. Louis, Missouri with a great mix of sweet and savory options. After a couple White Russians, Mary spills the beans about what it's like opening/operating a restaurant, the importance of a "clean" menu with local sourcing, and also gives the scoop on how to balance a business and family. After this episode, you won't go home hungry. #moisterizemywhistle
On this week's episode my financial advisor Omar gives some great advice on how to invest, save, and pay off your debt. This episode explains why you are broke, and what you should do about it.
Bearded Ginger Wes Hoffman graces our podcast this week with a variety of topics, such as positivity, music, Trump, and aliens. He also talks abouts the importance of networking and the impact of being a life/career coach to others. The conversation is between two beards, for all ears to hear.
This week I had the pleasure of interviewing the very talented Zach Allard, current drummer for the well-known band Discrepancies and ex-drummer for Broken Youth. We got to geek out over touring, recording, horror movies, and our favorite bands. Zach also gives the dirt on big-name bands that he has met and dishes on some gross stories from tour.
On this week's episode Vadym invites a "seasoned" mom of three boys and the owner of a daycare business to talk about boobs, butts, penises, and everything in between. If you're looking to be a parent one day, this crash course is for you.
This week's "quickie" revolves around taking a step back and re-evaluating the show as a whole. Rachel and Vadym talk about their regrets, bias opinions, and what the future holds.
