I've lost passion for God, I just don't care as much as I used to, I want to love God the way I did in the beginning! I don't feel like praying or reading my bible, what can I do to start feeling like it again? All Christians have dealt with the struggle of being apathetic towards the things of God, and whilst in this season of dryness we ask ourselves many questions: “Am I doing something wrong?”, “Why don't I feel God?”. “Why aren't things getting better?”. In this episode we've brought back Nico to discuss all these questions and more to uncover the reason why Christians struggle with their passion for God, and the mindset we need to overcome it.

And what are the solutions? What are the things he wished he knew/did sooner? Tune in as we discuss all these things and more in this special episode. ENJOY!
No matter which way I turn I can't make myself do right. I want to but I can't. When I want to do good, I don't; and when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway… ...In my mind I want to be God's willing servant, but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. These are words directly quoted from the Bible. Who's you might ask? Apostle Paul, a man who we respect, look up to, and learn from, yet he said the very things we say to ourselves everyday. Everyone is at war with their sinful nature, and it can be discouraging and disheartening when we lose these battles constantly. And so the question we ask ourselves is: How do I resist it? How do I recognize the flesh in my life? Listen in as we discuss these questions, expose the flesh, and share what we can do to be ready for the fight.

Why does it matter to have childlike faith? What does that even mean? How do I achieve that? Why did Jesus say we must receive the kingdom like a child? In a well known scene in the Gospels we see the disciples wrestling with the question of “who will be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”. Only to have Jesus respond by saying that they must have the faith and the attitude of a child. In this episode we break down Jesus' unforeseen response, and learn how to achieve this kind of faith, as well as understanding the importance of it even to the point that Jesus says without this kind of attitude, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

To remind you of the separation between religion and relationship. Religion may have failed you, but God never will.

THE SPIRITUAL WORLD IS REAL! The war between good and evil is going on right now in our midst, but what do we do as followers of Jesus to protect and defend ourselves from the strategies of the devil? Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6 telling all believers to put on the “The Whole Armor of God”, to take the sword of the spirit, and to pray IN the spirit at all times. What does this mean? What does this look like in our daily lives? Why should we care about the armor of God? What does it protect us from? FIND OUT IN THIS EPISODE OF IN THE FIRE as we study and explore this straight from the word of God.
PART 2 for the conversation all about DEMONS with Pastor Charles! If you have not tuned in for part 1... you probably want to go do that first. This episode we ask Pastor questions about new age practices like astrology, crystals, charms, hand and card readings, and much more, as well as his experience with more intense demonic encounters. We ask him about celebrities making deals with the devil, satanic rituals at concerts, and whether it is okay for Christians to attend concerts or not? Questions about horror movies and whether that brings a dark spirit upon our lives? Can demons be latched on through sex? Where do demons go once you pray for deliverance? What is happening when someone experiences sleep paralysis? Is yoga really demonic? Christian yoga?! Do drugs really bring someone into the dark spiritual world? TUNE IN!
What do demons look like!? Where do demons come from? What power do demons have? Can a Christian be demonized? Can music, celebrating halloween, horror movies, or attending secular concerts cause demonization? How do I know if something is psychological or demonic? Can someone attempt witchcraft on a Christian? Is sleep paralysis demonic? For a long time, people have been wrestling with these big questions. Both Christians and non-Christians often don't know much about the spiritual world, and this leaves us feeling powerless. We don't realize we actually have the power to trample over demons with the power and authority given to us by Jesus. So join us for an amazing conversation as we uncover the truth about demons, demonization, and how to stand firm in spiritual warfare with our special guest Pastor Charles.
Are you giving God your best? Do you live the way God wants you to live? How do you respond when someone tells you you're wrong? Can you celebrate other people's success? Or do you respond with envy or jealousy? Are your actions genuine? Or do they come from the wrong place? There are times in our lives that we might do something with the wrong motive, and the question is can we receive correction when we are confronted with it? As we dive deep into the story of Cain and Abel, we find themes of faith, jealousy, and arrogance. As well as discovering what it REALLY looks like to give God your best.
Are you truly a follower of Christ? Have you let people's opinions stop you from receiving all that God has for you? Has your lack of growth been because of your lack of commitment? Have the stresses of life choked out your faith in God? There's many ways people respond to hearing the good news of Jesus Christ, whether it's receiving it and letting God transform your life, or hearing it and living an untransformed life. And without proper caution, our faith might fall into the categories Jesus mentions in this well known parable. So join us as we dive deep into the parable of the sower and discover how the people Jesus calls out might just apply to you.
Have you been distant with God? Are you delaying your purpose AND other people's blessings? Is fear stopping you from doing what God wants you to do? Have you been ignoring God's call on your life? There are many times where we ignore and delay God's plan for our lives simply because we want our will to be done and not His. And as we dive deep into the book of Jonah we read EXACTLY how God responds when we choose to go our own way instead of his. So join us as we study the story of a prophet who TRULY ran away from God.
Many of us are joyful and passionate for Christ while at church or surrounded by other believers, but will our devotion and dialogue remain the same when our faith is challenged by the world? Will our faith stand the test? Or will we falter and minimize our own beliefs because of fear and people's opinions. In this episode, we study the story of Daniel and the lion's den, where we learn not only about God saving Daniel from the mouths of the lions, but about how putting your trust in God despite your situation is always the best decision.
Am I actually capable of doing this? Why did you choose me God? Everyone else seems more qualified. Can you really do this for me Lord? Will my faith be for nothing? Many times in our christian journey we tend to fall into the temptation of comparing ourselves to other believers, which leads to us feeling inadequate. As well as beginning to unconsciously focus on pleasing people and being seen instead of just serving God. And surprisingly, these lessons and more can be derived from the story of David and Goliath. So tune in as we dive deep into this popular biblical story and learn how we too can accomplish GREAT things with God.
Our minds are directly connected to the way we act, feel, and speak. So then should we not protect our minds from anything that could damage it? Intaking garbage and zombifying our minds is something we do daily which distract us from God and the heavenly thoughts that are truly important. In this episode, we discuss the enemy's schemes towards reign over our minds and keeping us far from God, and ways we can counter these attacks and live lives with minds focused on God and his purpose for us.
Do you want to really find fulfillment in life? Why do I need God? My life right now is going fine, I don't need to add a bunch of rules and restrictions to limit my happiness right? But what about when everything goes wrong? What about those difficulties that come up in life? Who provided you with the things you lost in the first place? See, our success did not just come from our hard work and dedication, but our father in heaven that takes care of us. You might have the money, and the people, and the temporary happiness, but the real joy and fulfillment comes from your relationship with God. If you truly want to live a life worth living, connect with the one that gave you your life to begin with.
I won't believe in something I can't see. If God just came down, everyone would believe! Why is having faith so important? Can't I just believe in myself? I've only had myself, why do I need God now? Many of us say “I won't believe it until I see it”, not realizing that we put our faith in many things without knowing the outcome, whether that be: pilots, money, friends, or even ourselves. And we choose to put our faith in uncertain things, instead of the one who made ALL things. In the episode, Louis and Danny discuss why faith is such a crucial part of our christian life, and how we can take the steps to have such a faith in God that nothing will be able to shake it.
What if I miss my old life? Do I HAVE to stop doing that? Isn't being a good person enough? Do I really need God? What if I miss out on all the fun? A lot of us tend to not give God our whole lives in fear of what we will lose, not realizing the life we will receive when we fully give our all to God. In this episode, Louis and Danny uncover the truth about why we don't live fully surrendered lives, how we can take steps to recognize the lies, and embracing the life God has for us that we've been missing out on.
Does God promise to save my family? What does the bible say about having an unsaved family? Is it my responsibility to speak to them? And what if my family situation is complicated? There are many Christians who live in an unbelieving household, and we often find that the most challenging people to share our faith with is our family. In this episode of In The Fire, Danny and Louis discuss the importance of not undervaluing and disregarding our family members, while also learning to step out into uncomfortable conversations and to effectively share our faith with not just our words, but also by our actions.
Jesus tells us in the bible to be hot or cold, because if we were lukewarm, he would spit us out of his mouth. But what does this mean? Is Jesus telling us to either be for God, or to be against Him? Does Jesus really rather us be against him than in the middle? The verse in revelations where Jesus talks about this is often misinterpreted. Jesus is telling us that lukewarm water is useless! Hot water has a function, like cooking or cleaning. So does cold water, like after a long hard gym session, you want a cold glass of water. But lukewarm water has no function! This episode we discuss what it looks like for someone to be a lukewarm christian, the real dangers of this, and how to remove ourselves from this comfort of the world, and start to be of real use for the Kingdom of God.
We all understand how crazy life can get very quickly. There's times where we get thrown curveballs and we have no idea how to deal with them. We have no idea what to do or what will happen next. We have no one else to turn to but God. How do we find that faith that we need to trust fully in our God to take care of us like He always has. Join us in this episode as we discuss the secret to having this type of faith and how to hand God your struggles.
It's time that we stop using “waiting on God” as an excuse for our lack of progress. We need to live a life of direction. We need to make a plan and begin acting upon it now. God has given you wisdom and discernment to be able to make decisions that are guided by Him in faith. His answer for us is not always a loud voice from heaven with clear instructions. Sometimes our desperation for God's answer is just a way for us to buy more time out of fear of making a mistake. Join us in this episode as we discuss the power in the silence from God, living a life of direction, and the importance of taking the first step in our plan.
Living counter-culturally isn't fun. It isn't what the rest of the world wants you to do, it isn't what the enemy wants you to do. The culture is run by the enemy, constantly coming up with new trends and ideas, and ways to blind our generation with false-truths. So why live by the rules of the enemy when Jesus has given us the true way to live. This episode we talk about what it's like living for Jesus in a culture that runs farther away from him each day, sacrificing our fleshly desires, and the temptations of the world.
Can Christians listen to Drake? The Weeknd? Bad Bunny? What about Michael Jackson? What does God think about us listening to music that doesn't glorify him? Is it okay to listen to non-Christian music or can we only listen to worship music? Is the music industry really demonic?
