Jase, Al, and Zach return to Genesis to answer the question culture and even a Supreme Court justice struggled to define, tracing what Scripture says about men, women, their differences, and every person bearing the image of God. The guys dive into church favoritism, empty “thoughts and prayers,” and the difference between simply believing in God and living out a faith that is truly alive. Zach and Jase can't decide who's the poorer listener, and Jase decides Zach's new hairstyle is proof that his midlife crisis has officially arrived.  In this episode: Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:18-23; Matthew 5:13-16; Matthew 22:37-40; Mark 16:20; Romans 8:19-28; 1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 Corinthians 3:9; 1 Corinthians 16:16; 2 Corinthians 6:1; 1 Timothy 2; James 2:1-26 “Unashamed” Episode 1381 is sponsored by: Upgrade your wallet today! https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/family-devotions/20260720fam.mp3 Listen to Devotion Read: Isaiah 44:6-11 “This is what the LORD says—Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Isaiah 44:6,8-9 God Isn't Monopoly Money! In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Every Monopoly game comes with $20,580. That's a lot of money! But imagine walking into a toy store with a handful of Monopoly money and trying to buy your favorite LEGO set or stuffed animal. It won't work. It's fake money. Sometimes people make a similar mistake with something much more important. They put their hopes for happiness and even heaven in created things instead of the Creator. In Isaiah’s time—and, in some places still today—those created things were statues—idols—made of wood or stone. But idols don’t have to be made of wood or stone. An idol can be anything or anyone that we fear, love, or trust more than the true God. Today idols may look like sports, video games, being the best at something, friends, money, or being popular. Wood and stone are real. Toys, money, friends, and popularity are real too. But none of these are God. They are false gods that cannot bring us real joy, peace, forgiveness, or eternal life. Isaiah says, “All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless” (Isaiah 44:9). What are the idols that tempt you? Money? Are you more in love with the stuff of this world than with the One who created it? Popularity? Is your life focused on being the most popular person in the room with the most “likes” and “followers”? This is what makes believers in Jesus different. Christians may or may not be famous or wealthy, and they may or may not have lots of nice things, but they have Christ. They believe God’s words, “Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one” (Isaiah 44:8). By grace, the one and only God found them and called them into his family of faith. They also know that Jesus has forgiven all their sins, even the sin of so often wanting their own selfish desires above what God wants. Living as God's people in this world is not always easy. Advertisements whisper that happiness is found in what we own. Social media suggests our value depends on how many people notice us. Yet none of those can save us. Christians are different because they listen to the voice of their Savior, who alone forgives sinners. To have the true God is to have everything. God forgives sins, promises the resurrection from death, and reserves for us a room in his heavenly mansion. Those are gifts that never wear out, never break, and can never be taken away. When we have him, we possess treasures that never fade and a future that never ends. Prayer: Dear Jesus, forgive us when we love other things more than you. Help us trust you above all else and find our joy in your forgiveness and promises. Amen. The questions below are to help families discuss this devotion. The questions are divided by age group as suggestions, but anyone could reflect on any of the questions as they desire. Questions for Younger Children Why wouldn’t Monopoly money work at a real store? How many true Gods are there? Questions for Elementary Age Children Name three idols that people today might be tempted to love more than God. What are some things that the true God gives that idols cannot give? Questions for Middle School and Above Luther says that a “god” is whatever we trust most or run to first for help. When kids are scared, sad, or worried, what are some things they might be tempted to trust instead of God? How can a Christian enjoy God’s gifts—such as family, success, possessions, or popularity—without turning them into idols? If you're searching how to find clarity on a podcast niche or whether to start a bilingual podcast, this episode directly answers that question.  Sometimes the hardest part of starting isn't the tech or the gear. It's the clarity. In this bonus FAB coaching session, I have the pleasure to Coach Julia Rabold, a new mom advocate currently building her podcast through two of the most common questions Christina women face before they launch: am I in the right niche, and who am I really called to serve? Julia came in with a working title, a heart for moms navigating the overwhelm of baby's first year, and a deeper pull toward supporting moms after miscarriage and traumatic birth. She was also wrestling with whether to build her podcast in English, German or bilingual. In this episode I walk her through the Micro Micro Niche Method to help her identify who she I uniquely positioned to serve and why going deeper is almost always the right answer when the calling keeps coming back.  This episode is for the woman who has something started but can't quite see the full picture yet. The clarity you're waiting for? It's closer than you think. God does not call you to something and then withhold the path. I pray this coaching session gives you the permission and the framework to take your next step.    Ready to Make Consistent Income From a Podcast?   Going my 5-Day Profitable Podcast Bootcamp! Ill show you how to create a podcast that makes steady income on autopilot, without relying on social media.

Most Christian messages tell you to get better for God. This one makes the case that it's the one thing you don't need to do. In fact, trying to do that actually backfires. Kyle Winkler breaks down why you're already blessed, already holy, and already complete with no effort required. If you've ever felt like you need to get better before God will use or bless you, this episode dismantles that belief with scripture and psychology.

How do you know if your ministry is truly successful? Most leaders instinctively look at visible results, growing influence, or measurable impact. But throughout Scripture, God consistently celebrates people the world overlooks and often overlooks the people the world celebrates. What if heaven's definition of greatness is very different from ours?In this highlight from our conversation (https://youtu.be/MLsZBF-Xr4I?si=xrZ2adSHCLIJFMY8), explore how easily our understanding of significance can be shaped by culture, social media, and ministry expectations rather than by God's perspective. Kelly reminds us that throughout Scripture, God consistently values things that often go unnoticed by the world.Together, Jason and Kelly discuss:Why God measures success differently than we doHow ministry leaders can adopt unhealthy definitions of significanceWhat Scripture teaches about greatness in God's KingdomWhy visible results are not always the best measure of faithfulnessHow social media and ministry culture shape our expectationsWhat it means to pursue the glory of God rather than personal achievementWhy abiding in Christ matters more than building a platformHow heaven may celebrate faithfulness that nobody else noticesEvery pastor and ministry leader is tempted to measure success by the things they can see: attendance, growth, influence, opportunities, and results. But what if those are not the things God values most? This conversation will challenge your assumptions about significance, encourage you to pursue faithfulness over recognition, and remind you that some of the most important Kingdom work may never receive earthly applause.Looking to dig more deeply into this topic and conversation? FrontStage BackStage is much more than another church leadership show, it is a complete resource to help you and your ministry leaders grow. THE STEFANIE GASS SHOW - Clarity Coaching, Kingdom Entrepreneurs, Podcasting, Courses, Christian Business Coach

Have you been praying about your business and feeling like God is completely silent? Friend, you are not broken and he has not stopped speaking.  In this episode, I break down the real reason Christian women can't hear God clearly in their businesses, and it has nothing to do with your faith level or how hard you've been trying.  This episode introduces the S.T.A.T.I.C Blockers Framework- three core reasons you are missing God's voice: Speed (moving too fast to receive), Trust Deficit (hearing Him but not believing it's Him), and Agenda (coming to God with an answer instead of a question). Each blocker is grounded in Scripture, including 1 Kings 19:12, John 10:27, Proverbs 3:5-6, James 1:5, and Psalms 46:10. You'll learn why God's voice is a whisper not a burning bush, and why consistency in the quiet is how you build the frequency to hear Him.  You will learn a practical Four-Step Action Plan: creating a daily 15-minute God slot, writing down every business nudge you've been dismissing, identifying your hidden agenda, and praying a specific surrender prayer out loud. These are the steps that actually change things. God is not playing hide and seek with you. He is not withholding. He is a generous, communicative God who has been trying to get through and the only thing standing between you and His voice is the static you're allowing.  I pray this episode helps you get quiet enough to hear Him.   Ready to Make Consistent Income From a Podcast?   Join my 5-Day Profitable Podcast Bootcamp! I'll show you how to create a podcast that makes steady income on autopilot, without relying on social media.

Have you ever stopped and wondered, How am I actually making my decisions? Am I following my feelings, what makes the most sense... or am I truly listening for the voice of God?In this episode, we're diving into Hebrews 11 and what it really means to live by faith in a world that constantly tells us to trust ourselves instead. I share why I believe one of the biggest deceptions of our generation is believing that biblical values and holy living aren't actually that important and how that mindset slowly pulls us away from God's best. We'll also talk about how God is always working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it, and why we can confidently have faith that He's moving on our behalf. Plus, I share how Tim Price's new book A Greater Plan has been challenging and encouraging me in my own walk with the Lord.If you've been feeling stuck, unsure of your next step, or just wanting a deeper relationship with God instead of simply going through the motions of Christianity, I think this conversation will encourage you. My prayer is that by the end of this episode, you'll walk away with a renewed desire to hear God's voice, trust His timing, and remember that faith isn't wishful thinking, it's confidence in a God who has never stopped working.Go to https://betterhelp.com/hopemoquin for 10% off your first month of therapy with BetterHelp and get matched with a therapist who will listen and help #sponsoredBook a call - https://stan.store/hopemoquinINSTAGRAM- www.instagram.com/hopemoquinTIKTOK - https://www.tiktok.com/@hopemoquin

In this episode, we explore a version of the divine that shatters the image of a vengeful God and replaces it with something far more radical: unconditional love. We unpack why Hell may be a choice rather than a destination, how we're all co-creators of the reality we live in, and why - especially in the current socio-political environment - the question of whether we believe people are truly redeemable may be the most important one we face. The world says people never change. Jesus says watch what My grace can do. In a culture that writes people off because of their failures, their reputation, or their past, Scripture introduces us to Saul—a man everyone feared and no one expected God to use. Yet Jesus met him on the road to Damascus and transformed the church's greatest persecutor into one of its greatest proclaimers. Acts 9 reminds us that grace isn't earned—it pursues. Jesus still knows our names, still rewrites our stories, and still calls ordinary people to join Him in His work of redemption. Every baptism declared the same truth: no life is too broken for the transforming power of Christ. God isn't finished writing your story.

Do you feel like you are doing all the right things in your business… praying, planning, showing up, working hard… yet nothing seems to be moving forward? Maybe you have started wondering if God forgot about the dream He placed on your heart. Or maybe you are quietly asking yourself why the business strategy you're pouring so much time into still isn't producing the success you desire. In today's episode, I am sharing a truth that completely changed the way I approach business. Because sometimes the reason your business feels overwhelming, exhausting, and frustrating is not that you are failing. It may be because God never asked you to build it that way in the first place. You cannot hustle your way into God's blessing. This conversation will help you release the pressure to strive harder and instead invite God back into the center of your business decisions. We are talking about surrender, obedience, alignment, and how to discern whether the strategy you are chasing is actually the one God has called you to pursue. If you have been feeling tired, discouraged, confused, or stuck despite working harder than ever, this episode is going to feel like freedom. I pray this episode reminds you that you do not have to force what God has not called you to carry. His plans for you will never require you to abandon your peace, your priorities, or your dependence on Him. Ready to build your business with God instead of just for God? Do you ever feel like God is nowhere to be found? Do you ever feel forsaken, abandoned, and forgotten? Maybe that is t he evidence that you have not been left alone. List to this common deception the enemy put on almost all believers.Behold the Lamb: Ministry, Manhood, and the Kingdom WithinIn this powerful, full-length session, we strip away the "fig leaves" of religion to uncover the raw reality of the Kingdom of God. From the classroom to the locker room, the message is clear: God isn't done with you yet. We address the heartbreaking crisis of fatherlessness in today's generation and the vital need for men to stand on the absolute truth of the Word of God rather than their own feelings, giftings, or paychecks. We explore the transition from the Old Covenant "types and shadows" to the once-and-for-all sacrifice of Jesus, the Lamb of God. You don't have to keep "sacrificing another goat" every time you stumble; you have to trust the finished work of Christ. Using the "house cleaning" analogy, we discuss how the Holy Spirit systematically cleanses every room of our lives—from the living room to the attic—transforming us from "glory to glory."Whether you are navigating a career change, leading a family, or just trying to find your footing, this message is a call to surrender your own "mess" for His beauty. It's time to move past the doctrine of men and step into the rule and government of God within you.Key Highlights:True Manhood: Why spiritual leadership matters more than winning a physical fight. The "Yoda" Effect: How the anointing of the Spirit carries you when you are physically drained. The Kingdom Within: Understanding that the rule of God starts in your heart today, not just on streets of gold. The "House Cleaning" Analogy: A humorous but deep look at how God cleanses our "temples" room by room.Kingdom Career Advice: Why you should never take a job for money, but only for where Jesus leads. From Glory to Glory: Why spiritual growth is a constant, lifelong "graduation" process.Key Scriptures:John 1:29 – "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"Luke 17:21 – "The kingdom of God is within you."Romans 12:2 – "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind."2 Corinthians 3:18 – "Being transformed into the same image from glory to glory."Philippians 2:5 – "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus."#KingdomOfGod #BiblicalManhood #FaithOverFear #HolySpirit #SpiritualGrowth #BeholdTheLamb #ChristianLiving #ManOfGodChapters00:00 - Intro: Ministry and the Anointing of the Spirit25:40 - The Mercy of God: Chosen Before the Foundation31:28 - God Isn't Done With You: Stop Trusting Your Feelings44:16 - The Cycle of Sin: Why the Permanent Sacrifice Matters58:38 - From Glory to Glory: The Lifelong Graduation Process1:02:11 - The House Cleaning Analogy: Cleansing the Rooms of the Soul1:06:36 - Kingdom Career Advice: Choosing Jesus Over the Paycheck

What do you do when God is moving all around you… but not in your life? When you've been faithful, prayed, and trusted, yet nothing seems to change? In Luke 7, John the Baptist finds himself in prison, questioning everything. The same man who boldly declared Jesus as the Messiah now wonders if he got it wrong. And Jesus' response is both comforting and challenging. God is working—but not always in the way or timing we expect. This message speaks to anyone who feels overlooked, stuck, or confused by God's silence. It's a reminder that even when God doesn't meet our expectations, He is still faithful.• When God doesn't move how we expect, it doesn't mean He isn't working• Bring your honest questions and doubts directly to Jesus• The real issue isn't always our questions—it's whether we're willing to surrenderKey Scriptures:Luke 7:18–35Isaiah (Messianic prophecies referenced by Jesus)Malachi 3:1If you're in a season of waiting or wondering where God is, don't turn away—lean in. Our West Senior Pastor, Seth Swindall, continues week two of our teaching series, The Life of Abraham. Following God isn't always easy, but it's always worth it. In Abraham's story, we see what happens when fear, pressure, and uncertainty lead us to take control instead of trusting God. In this message, Pastor Seth explores the following Scriptures: Genesis 12:1 NET 1 Now the Lord said to Abram, "Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father's household to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:10-20 NET 10 There was a famine in the land, so Abram went down to Egypt to stay for a while because the famine was severe. 11 As he approached Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, "Look, I know that you are a beautiful woman. 12 When the Egyptians see you they will say, 'This is his wife.' Then they will kill me but will keep you alive. 13 So tell them you are my sister so that it may go well for me because of you and my life will be spared on account of you." 14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful. 15 When Pharaoh's officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. So Abram's wife was taken into the household of Pharaoh, 16 and he did treat Abram well on account of her. Abram received sheep and cattle, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels. 17 But the Lord struck Pharaoh and his household with severe diseases because of Sarai, Abram's wife. 18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram and said, "What is this you have done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her to be my wife? Now, here is your wife. Take her and go!" 20 Pharaoh gave his men orders about Abram, and so they expelled him, along with his wife and all his possessions. – Next Steps Looking to take a next step? Most of us have experienced dry places in our lives. It's easy to lose hope and start believing that change isn't even possible. In today's teaching, we look at an ancient vision the prophet Ezekiel had, reminding us that God speaks directly to that feeling—that we're on our own, forgotten, and stuck with things as they are. God meets us in those restrictive places and reminds us that something is happening, even if we are unaware of it. Text Ezekiel  37

What should you do when your child believes God isn't listening to their prayers? Many children struggle when they pray for something—like bad dreams to stop—and the answer doesn't come the way they hoped. In this episode, Elizabeth Urbanowicz walks parents through a biblical approach to helping kids understand unanswered prayer. You'll learn how to teach children what prayer really is, what Scripture commands about prayer, and how even Jesus experienced prayer that wasn't answered the way He asked. This conversation equips parents to help their children continue trusting God—even when the answer is “no” or “wait.”

When it comes to our prayer life & talking to God… there are some prayers that can feel like we've brought to God for years, even decades and yet nothing seems to be happening. Prayers that align with Gods heart, His word & His promises and yet as we've come to Him again and again, asking, seeking and knocking (just like scripture says to), it can feel like radio silence. During those times of intense praying and not seeing changes, discouragement can easily set in which can fall into:-Doubting in Gods goodness-Doubting that He hears us-Doubting that He sees us -And doubting that He even cares about us(All lies by the way)And if we aren't careful… we can believe those lies and begin to find our discouragement growing into resentment, bitterness and intense heartache. In this episode we unpack somethings we can consider during those seasons of praying and contending while we aren't seeing it come to pass YET. How we can check our hearts, shift our prayers, keep believing & moving forward with expectation that He is in fact at work. For more encouragement in your prayer life check out:Episode 69: Praying in Faith WorshipI Won't Give UpConnectWebsiteInstagram God is closer than you think! We're stuck because we lack consistency. In this episode, we're going back to the foundations of the Christian walk. Prayer. Worship. Scripture. The daily practices we all know but rarely commit to. If your faith feels dry, distracted, or unstable, this is your wake up call. You don't need a new strategy. You need daily faithfulness. But instead of feeling joyful and secure in God's love, you feel exhausted—or even hopeless. In this episode, I unpack why God isn't asking for religious performance or perfection – and how it actually blocks the intimacy He desires to have with us (and we with Him).
