In this lesson we begin with a recap of our completing the first four kings coverage. This class picks-up in Genesis 14, verse 18, which describes Abraham's interaction with this unique and peculiar king and priest of God, Melchizedek. In the dream of the great statue that God gave king Nebuchadnezzar, the feet of iron and clay analogy ensured that the reader understood that the entire Gentile world system was destined to fail. Earthen clay (human) mingled with iron (modified DNA hybrid/transhuman) will come to support the entire statue. The feet will fail to support the great statue because iron and clay are both brittle, and cannot bond. A foundation of clay and iron? Who engineered such a flaw into the very foundation of a tall and heavy statue?! It is obvious that this weak foundation was engineered to ensure it's collapse; This Gentile world system can do noting other than collapse. The only variable was the timing, and that time has come. YOU and I are here, and experiencing it. You see it all around you - around the world now. In the dream, what actually triggered the collapse? A stone (signifying judgement in the Scriptures) is carved out from a mountain (signifying a kingdom or domain), uncut by human hands (signifying that Jesus Christ, Himself cuts that Stone of judgment) is hurled directly at the weakest part of the statue - the flawed foundation - just as the statue is being completed! This collapse in divine judgement will be triggered in the "times of those kings" that we have been learning about. God designed our physical universe to operate within a distinct set of laws, the enforcement of them and penalties for breaking them. Called the laws of physics, they set the nature and parameters of how everything that is created to exist here operates and interacts with it and each other. The laws of this physical universe isolate it from others, such as Heaven, and make it unique among the all domains God establishes. God and the angels are not bound to the laws and timeline of this physical universe. This is why we detect their interaction with us "supernatural". Prophecy is a key way God interacts with with and brings about His eternal spiritual purposes to this physical universe, especially on the Earth, as His headquarters forever. Through prophecy, God establishes His spiritual laws here, enforces them and provides penalties for breaking them. No ruler of any nation comes to power unless God ordains it. If the thrust of God's plan is to ensure the world stays on track to execute His plan, that means the current leaders in each nation - especially the USA - are placed there only to facilitate keeping God's plan on track and on schedule. In this class we set as our primary goal to prepare ourselves to be complete in Christ, and dead-on centered in God's will. We who are part of the body of Christ are positionally, at this time, part of the kingdom of Heaven. As ambassadors, we are sent to this foreign country to represent and witness to the kingdom from which we are sent. However, we are still physically of this foreign world, and must adhere to its nature. We have not yet even tasted of life in the kingdom we now represent. This is a dichotomy that God has taken into account. This is also a key point that very few of those truly in Christ think about. But it is so very important, that God distinctly makes His kingdom and its nature known to us in the supernatural messaging system, itself an ambassador inserted into this foreign land, the Bible. You and I NEED to understand God's eternal kingdom and its nature right here and right now! The point: The world is poised NOW to go OPENLY supernatural. This has already started, and is manifesting in front of our very physical lives. It is already taking place, with high technology making "modern-day miracles" and promising us salvation. It is working hard to open portals for fallen angels and demonic forces and their higher-dimensional "laws of physics" to interlope. It is going to use its full force to persecute YOU and Me. "Are we there yet?!" Many a parent has heard this unrelenting question from their children as they ride in the car, en-route to some vacation fun spot. What triggers the continuous query is the fact that the family has packed, placed their luggage into back, and all piled into the vehicle. These events triggered the minds and hearts of the children to know that what they were anticipating was actually coming to pass! Now, it's a question of how the near-term future will unfold in the course of time. This is the cue to start looking for real-time clues, informed by drawing on what they know they are headed for, and what surely awaits them when they arrive. The point of the earth and its riding on a the rails of time, is mainly to accommodate human beings and God's plan for us, collectively and individually. As "imagers" of God, we each are born of unique DNA, into a certain group of peoples, within a specific place and time, and for specific purpose. And this, not of our own free will. After birth into our individual situation we are given free will, and with it, almost unending choices throughout our respective lifetimes. The question is, how do we learn God's collective and individual purposes for us, and to navigate through them? Prophecy makes clear that God has specific plans for each people group, and individual life. Throughout His Word and its prophecies, He gives all of us clues and cues, and even time-marks - called "holy days", and a multitude of other facilities, as a witness to the things God wills to accomplish through us individually and collectively. Satan has his plans for us too. We must learn how to distinguish God's voice from his, and to understand God's plan for each one of us. We are told by God in the book of Isaiah: ISA 42:8 "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols. ISA 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you." If God announces what will come, of first importance is to determine it is, indeed, His voice you are hearing, and it is surely His prophecies you are learning. But how can you do this amidst all the noise? A key help in this distinction is to KNOW God, Himself very, very well. Understanding His heart, mind, character and His point of view first is key. We must learn specifically how to observe and determine God and His Word systematically, bringing forth His flawless plan over the foundation of the timeline of past and present. The need for this class became clear because I found that during the current run of the Cover-to-Cover: An Overview of the Entire Bible class (which started in October, 2008), I found myself giving updates on current events in light of Biblical prophecy more and more before most of the Sunday school classes actually began. You and I stand as part of that very last generation that WILL see the culmination of ALL Biblical prophecy, as Jesus said: "Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled". Make no mistake: we ARE that generation to see all of the indicators manifested. What a privilege to live through what the prophets longed to understand! So, what is Biblical prophecy? Its on most peoples minds today - even the secular people talk of it. What is it about, and why does it have such a large – and defining – influence throughout God's Words of Scripture? First, we endeavor to consider that the whole of the Bible itself is a complete messaging system from the Mind and Heart of the Creator and Sustainer of all in this physical universe.
