Hi Folks. I said in the last podcast that I would talk more about the purposes of the Rapture. And I will, soon. But I want to put the question of imminence - defined in the last podcast - behind us. You must accept the Doctrine of Imminence. And, yes - it is a doctrine. Once you accept it, the mid-tribulation rapture, the pre-wrath rapture, and the post-tribulation rapture are simply out of the question. You can forget about them.Some of you may recall that I did a detailed analysis of imminence in an earlier podcast: In that podcast, I went into the relevant Greek words and even tenses to prove imminence. But I think that what I've pasted below, from John MacArthur, sums up imminence so clearly that nothing more is needed. Please read the Summary and put any doubts that you have about imminence to rest.Soon, I'm going to make the case that the Pretribulation Rapture and the Seventieth Week of Daniel - the 7 Year Tribulation - are not optional doctrines for the born again believer. Why? Because they are both intimately related to God's future plans for the Nation of Israel. And God's plans for Israel are very important to Him. I believe that those who disdain these doctrines (the Pretribulation Rapture and the Tribulation) are going to be schooled about them at the judgement seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) and they are going to lose crowns. That pervading perspective of imminence prompts three questions. The first question pertains to whether the Tribulation will precede Christ's coming for the church. The answer to that question is that it will not because the church is never asked to look forward to the tribulation, but they are asked to look forward to Christ's coming. The second question revolves around how the return of Christ could have been imminent in the early church. The answer here is that no one but the Father knows when the coming will occur, so that Christians including the early church must always be ready. The third question asks why Christ's imminent return is so important. This answer relates to the motivation it supplies for believers to purify their lives and thereby progress toward the goal of sanctification and Christlikeness. The threefold call of the imminence doctrine is to wake up and obey right now, to throw off the works of darkness, and to put on the garments of holy living. This is a public episode. Who is "Left Behind"? This is Part 3 of a new series addressing the next prophetic event for people living in the "last days". The disappearance of ALL Christians from Earth has occurred. What happens next? What happens to those who were "left behind"? Everyone left behind now has a decision to make. Could they have known or anticipated the predicament they find themselves in? Now that they know who the Antichrist is, what's next?

What are the key issues in these final days of earth? Our times are overwhelmingly challenging: UAPs, UFOs, political intrigue and uncertainty. There are well-meaning Christians wondering what's next? Are we nearing the end? Many are concerned, wondering if we are approaching  earth's final days. Will the church enter those fin final 7 years of distress? Who will be left behind?

The Seven-Year Tribulation is a time when God will discipline Israel and judge unbelievers. Scripture confirms two truths: God is in control, and His Word is true. Key Prophetic Events Daniel 9:24-27 and Matthew 24:15, 21-22 describe the Tribulation, divided into two halves. The “abomination of desolation” marks the start of the Great Tribulation. Revelation 5 reveals Jesus as the only one worthy to bring judgment, which unfolds through the Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls. Judgments Seals (Revelation 6): Antichrist's rise, global war, famine, mass death, and natural disasters. Trumpets (Revelation 8-9): Earth's destruction, poisoned waters, demonic torment, and immense loss of life. Bowls (Revelation 16): Painful sores, all water turning to blood, scorching heat, darkness, and the final earthquake. Response: Remember God is sovereign. Live holy, expectant lives, and urgently share Jesus' love, knowing these events will happen.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;  1 Corinthians 15:51-52;  Revelation 19:11-16   - What is the Rapture?  1 Thess. 4:17   - to be caught up = rapto, which means to seize, to carry off   1.   At the Rapture: the Church (Believers) will meet Jesus in the air.  1 Thess. 4:17       At the Second Coming:  Jesus will return with His Church (Believers) to the earth.  Revelation 19:14     2.   The Rapture occurs before the 7-Year Tribulation.  1 Thess. 5:9.  Revelation 3:10   The Second Coming of Jesus occurs at the end of the 7-Year Tribulation.  Revelation 6-19     3. The Rapture is an act of deliverance for believers from the wrath (judgment) of God.  1 Thess. 4:13-17;  5:9   The Second Coming of Jesus is an act of judgment on all unbelievers.  Revelation 19:11-16     4.  The Rapture of the Church will be done unexpectedly and instantly.  1 Corinthians 15:51-52.  1 Thess. 5:2   The Second Coming of Jesus will be visible to all.  Revelation 1:7.  Matthew 24:29-30     5.   The Rapture of the Church could happen at any moment.   The Second Coming of Jesus will occur after many other end-time events take place.     So what does this mean for me?   Be Prepared - Not Scared   Live each day ready to meet Jesus.   Tell loved ones and friends who are not prepared.
