„Gold King“ Ahura steht The Cowboy Way (1 Called Manders & Thomas Shire) gegenüber – sein Tag Team Partner: der inoffizielle fünfte Stützpfeiler der legendären „Four Pillars of Heaven“ Jun Akiyama!

Werden The Grind hiernach endlich wieder zusammenfinden?

This week on Shat the Movies, we're revisiting True Colors (1991), where friendship and ambition collide in a very 90s way. John Cusack and James Spader play college friends whose paths split as one chases power in politics and the other tries to hold onto his ideals. Gene and Big D break down the betrayals, the moral gray areas, and whether this drama still feels relevant today. Does it land as a sharp look at ambition, or just a polished soap opera? Tune in and find out. Full movie info below True Colors (1991) is a political drama directed by Herbert Ross and starring John Cusack, James Spader, Imogen Stubbs, and Mandy Patinkin. “True Colors” is a song with legs. It started out as a song written for a mother in a traditional ballad format. Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly wrote the song in 1986 and offered it to Anne Murray, a popular singer at the time. Murray passed on the song. Cyndi Lauper took it and creatively revamped the format into a stark and breathtaking version. The song became a hit worldwide because of its universal appeal. The songwriters acknowledge that Lauper was the perfect artist to adapt the song partly because of her bold style. Released as the title song on Lauper's 1986 album, “True Colors,” is the only original song on the album that the artist did not help to write. In 1998, Phil Collins covered the song on his “Greatest Hits” album. Australian country music star Kasey Chambers covered the song as the theme for the 2003 Rugby World Cup. In 2007, Cindy Lauper launched “The True Colors Tour” to support gay rights and fight hate crimes. In 2016, Justin Timberlake and actress Anna Kendrick used the song in the soundtrack for the movie “Trolls.” Kodak also used the song to advertise its film stock. Like I said: The song has legs. Here's my version. Chapters (00:00:05) - True Colors

A memoir can feel like a mirror you didn't ask for. We opened Christina Applegate's and found an unvarnished account of survival: a child actor who worked to live, a dancer who prayed with her body, an artist who hid behind “Christina Applegate” until truth demanded center stage. We dig into the fault lines: body image and shame running alongside career highs; Sweet Charity on Broadway as a masterclass in grit after a brutal injury; pay inequity countered by quiet solidarity; and more. Her reflections on breast cancer and MS aren't wrapped in “warrior” clichés. If you've ever performed strength because the world is allergic to pain, her confession will help you feel seen.We also sit with research tying childhood trauma to MS risk, not as final verdict but as a challenge to take our histories seriously. By the end, she rejects the persona and claims the name her people use—Kiki—then asks a question that lingers: Who are you?Hit play for a thoughtful, unsentimental conversation about truth, trauma, dance, illness, craft, and the fragile alchemy of happiness-with-sadness. This episode dives into the exact moment your partner's mask slips and their true colors come out. We unpack power shifts, role reversals, and why control often gets mistaken for love in modern relationships. The conversation gets uncomfortable as we challenge gender expectations and call out toxic dynamics on both sides. One thing is non-negotiable: abuse is never justified—emotionally or physically. If you've ever questioned who really holds the power in a relationship, this episode is for you.Support the show
Jets head coach (and former Lions defensive coordinator) Aaron Glenn is ruffling feathers in the offseason yet again... Shep wonders if this is the true Glenn that we didn't necessarily see in Detroit. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Joe Pags says the masks are slipping as Jasmine Crockett and Michelle Obama make remarks that have many Americans asking why now—and whether divisive rhetoric is back in full force. Pags then digs into the Minnesota fraud mess, asking the real question: who is actually making the money? As the left scrambles, President Donald Trump commands the global stage at Davos, and Pags calls out the contrast. Then Troy Nehls joins the show for a no-holds-barred conversation. Not seeking reelection, the former sheriff speaks freely about January 6, the new J6 committee, the pipe bomb suspect, and why accountability still matters. They also tackle the treatment of law enforcement in Minnesota, whether rampant fraud is being covered up, and the growing frustration among officers on the ground. A packed hour full of revelations and straight talk you won't hear anywhere else. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

GC13 and David discuss True Colors from Amphibia. Now that’s a season finale right there. Action, action, more action, and what’s this? Action! (And don’t forget a stellar acting job by Hopediah!) Well, Anne definitely is bad at choosing which king to trust. You’d think she’d have learned not to trust the one who’s already betrayed her, but it’s a good thing she’s a slow learned, or we wouldn’t have got to see that epic whoopin’. Now it’s on to Earth.
In this episode of the Wine and Gold Talk podcast, Ethan Sands and Chris Fedor react to the Cavs' 10th loss of the season, digging into the latest setback and examining the patterns that keep resurfacing — from the team's lack of a consistent identity to the lapses in transition defense and physicality. They discuss the Cavs' overwhelming dependence on Donovan Mitchell, the uneven play from the supporting cast, and how rotation choices are impacting rhythm and competitiveness. For once, the title of this episode isn't a reference to piss, but instead Campbell's moral fortitude, which is...lacking. But don't worry, there is at least one piss-based bit in the show. We gotta hit those quotas, after all. Other terrible bits include: the giga-cow, pustin' makes me feel good, and the dreaded "griculture" bit. No, none of it makes any sense to me, either. Democrats have failed the test of basic human empathy once again, from spreading falsehoods about who Charlie Kirk was to speaking ill of the dead. With 118 Democrat House members refusing to honor Kirk's life, their response to his assassination has exposed their true colors. On today's episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words,” Hanson examines the reactions of key Democrat figures—Reps. Ilhan Omar, AOC, and Jasmine Crockett—following this tragic event. “ The House has a tradition, when major figures—political or in the media or in the popular culture—are gunned down, to express empathy. One of the more horrific things that happened, recently, was in Minnesota, when the speaker of the Minnesota Legislature and her husband were gunned down by a—he was a private citizen, angry over abortion. … Every single Republican went on record saying this is atrocious, that a gunman shot these very liberal, Democratic legislators in the state of liberal Minnesota. “ So, all people were trying to do after the death of Charlie Kirk, Representative Crockett, Representative Omar, Representative Ocasio-Cortez, just show a little sympathy, just put away the politics. And you failed that basic human test.”

This week's featured story comes from the Martin & Sylvia: Saturdays! collection. It's called "True Colors." One autumn morning, Momma tells brother and sister that the oranges, reds and yellows of autumn leaves are actually their true colors — that the green actually masks those colors until the fall. This reminds Sylvia of something she has been masking — and gives her the courage to tell the truth. If you enjoyed that story, there are hundreds and hundreds more where that came from.
