We are eight days away from NXT's Wrestlemania, NXT TakeOver: Toronto, and the yellow-and-black brand has now kicked it into overdrive as we begin the final push towards SummerSlam weekend. In this episode of the podcast, I kick off the show by talking about the life and career of former 8-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race, after his passing yesterday. I then talk about WWE's foolish Wild Card Rule and we finally know when this idiotic rule will go away for good in favor of a true brand split. In light of the #GiveWWEWomenAChance hashtag that was trending yesterday, I thought that they should've taken it one step further, hence the title of Episode 88 of the Young Lion's Perspective. Welcome to the first entry of DOW Tag Topics, a new series under the DOWPOD umbrella. I bring a tag team partner onboard to talk about any wrestling topic, nothing is off limits!
