Comic book writing was his passion, and he discovered that he could write stories without having to illustrate them. His comic book characters and stories were also centered around characters who were part of the history of the occult and Christianity. During the interview, he explains the research that he completed while creating this story. Jeremy wanted this story to be based upon actual events that would make the story more intriguing. What would happen if an angel who was also a human existed today? How would society treat them? Jeremy commented that a storyteller should develop a good story that has likable characters who grow and change throughout the story. Plus, the story should be grounded in reality. During this podcast, we review the independent book, Study Guide: The Day They Sold the Moon by Tracy Goodwin. This study guide is a great resource for teachers, which includes several activities and creative drama ideas that expose students to "virtues."  These lessons can be integrated into a Language Arts, Math, Science, and Health curriculum. The book, The Day They Sold the Moon was written by a young child who has Autism, Jack Paschall. The main character in the book wants to go to the moon since it is made up of cheese. He comes up with a brilliant plan to become abducted by aliens so that he can get to the moon. He dresses in a cow costume which gets the attention of a frog alien named Musher. He hires Jack to help sell the cheese on the moon. Eventually, Jack realizes that the moon is disappearing, and he needs to find a solution before our oceans, animals, and the solar system are affected. In the end, Jack saves the moon. Tracy Goodwin helped Jack Paschall tell and publish his story. Amazing! Even though Jack has Autism and has difficulty with social skills, he teaches virtues throughout his story. Tracy published the Study Guide: The Day They Sold the Moon to continue this story process. Today, our children need to learn a great deal on virtues such as having confidence, integrity, working with other, having gratitude, and loving yourself as you are. This story has the "power" to change the world! What is your story?   mohenderson2525@gmail.com
