This week Stories You Should Know brings you the inspiring story of Kamal Singh and Fernando Aguilera. In September, 20-year-old Kamal Singh became the first Indian student to be admitted to the English National Ballet school. Kamal was 17 when he fell in love with Ballet and in the summer of 2016, he turned up at Imperial Fernando Ballet School, Delhi to learn the dance form and see where life takes him. The 17-year-old, known as Noddy, whose father was a rickshaw driver was then trained and mentored by Fernando Aguilera. After he was accepted into the English National Ballet School, a crowdfunding campaign, backed by some of Bollywood's biggest names, managed to raise all the funds needed to cover his school fees and London living expenses in less than two weeks. Aidan Reilly is a 22 year old college student at Brown University who is also a co-founder of Not-For-Profit organization called 'The Farmlink Project' that connects farms with food banks to feed thousands in need while supporting essential jobs. They fundraise externally to acquire surplus produce from farms and suppliers and pay transportation costs in order to deliver fresh food to food banks in need. Today's guest is someone who loves telling stories through her lens. She's the one who sees the beauty, loss, pain, sacrifice, and capture of these raw emotions just the way they are. A 2018 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology's Photojournalism program, she is now working as a Photojournalist with The New York Times.
