Andrew Walworth, Tom Bevan, and National Review columnist Heather Wilheim preview tonight's speech by 2024 Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris. They also discuss Wisconsin's Supreme Court decision to suspend Milwaukee circuit judge Hannah Dugan, who has been charged with helping an illegal immigrant avoid arrest by ICE agents. Plus, they chat about Trump's campaign-style speech in Detroit delivered on Tuesday evening, and his oval office interview with ABC News senior national correspondent Terry Moran. Next, Tom Bevan talks to RCP contributor and author Greg Orman about the first 100 days of organized opposition to the second Trump administration. How fares “The Resistance"? And finally, Andrew Walworth talks to Law Professor and Boston Herald columnist Wendy Murphy about a landmark case involving why women can't register for the draft, and why this is - in her view “the most important women's rights case of the past 50 years”.
In our first episode during Trump's second term, we look at a short (but not comprehensive) list of horrors that the Trump MAGA coalition has unleashed on the US public and how the groundwork for this horror show was laid down by the Biden regime, along with decades of corporate Democratic failures to build any kind of real opposition to the fascist-leaning movements of the Republican Party. In fact, recent Democratic Presidential campaigns have promised to be “tougher” than Trump on certain vulnerable populations. From the destruction of the social welfare state to ICE raids, deportations, the border wall, Guantánamo, tariffs and the new trade war, along with Trump's ‘Drill Baby Drill' ambitions, we have seen complete continuity between Democratic and Republican policies– with each successive administration moving further to the right– enriching more and more billionaires and oligarchs at the direct expense of the working- class, immigrants and refugees, and the environment. We also examine how the capitalist media plays a pivotal role as a force-multiplier– profiting off of Trump's domestic terrorism and obfuscating the role of Democrats in enabling this terrorism. Together, these two corrupt parties work hand-in-glove in what has become straight-up class war.Thank you for listening to Crawdads & Taters: Red State Rebels. Send us a textWe ran out of time in our last episode but felt that both of these segments were worthy of being chronicled in our series looking back at the 1992 election. The first is the full press conference of Ross Perot as he withdrew from the 1992 election. It was a move that to this day makes no sense to me as to why he did it. He had been in first place and while he had slipped in the polls he was still in a stronger position than he would ever see again prior to this early withdrawal from the race. You will listen in at his reasoning at the time in his Press conference announcing his withdrawal. Then we will return to the convention hall on that final day and during a break in the action on the convention floor we will listen to a panel discussion that will feature every unsuccessful Democratic nominee over the past 22 years up to that point. It is a fascinating discussion featuring reporters and commentators Robert McNeil, Jim Lehrer, Mark Shields, David Gergen and former Democratic Presidential nominees, Senator George McGovern from 1972, Former Vice President Walter Mondale who was on the national ticket as VP in 1976, 1980- and the nominee in 1984, and Massachusetts former Governor and 1988 Nominee Michael Dukakis. It is a must listen to panel discussion from a set of true history makers. And he brought the New Testament and read it to me. And when he was reading I felt really joyful.” Like thousands of other new believers, she received an audio Bible that allowed her to hear God's Word despite her inability to read it. In announcing this guide, he wrote, “We are living in a time of great moral divide. Unless Christians engage in the upcoming election, this beloved land of liberty, which has been a beacon of hope to the world through the centuries, may become a distant memory that future generations will only read about in history books. It saddens me to think that this could be the fate of our children and grandchildren. “I pray for the emergence of Americans who will come out of their hiding places to let their voices be heard on Election Day, November 5th.” Get Dr. Dobson's voter's guide in our transcript at www.TheWorldview.com. Trump: Liz Cheney is “a radical war hawk” On October 31st, Donald Trump talked with Tucker Carlson for 90 minutes in Glendale, Arizona about his candidacy. He took issue with former GOP Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who has endorsed Kamala Harris, for being a war hawk. TRUMP: “The reason she couldn't stand me is that she always wanted to go to war with people I don't want to go to war. She wanted to go she wanted to stay in Syria. I took them out. She wanted to stay in Iraq. I took them out. I mean, if it were up to her, we'd be in 50 different countries. Number one, it's very dangerous. Number two, a lot of people get killed. And number three, I mean, it's very, very expensive. We spent $9 trillion bombing the Middle East. And what did we get? Other than lots of dead people, including our people, we got nothing.” Trump emphasized that Liz Cheney liked to sound tough in her former ivory tower when sending American soldiers to unnecessary wars. TRUMP: “She's a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let's see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face. You know, they're all war hawks when they're sitting in Washington. Let's send, let's send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy.” Kamala Harris, the Democratic Presidential nominee, claimed that Trump's rhetoric was violent. HARRIS: “He has increased his violent rhetoric, Donald Trump has, about political opponents and in great detail. Suggested rifles should be trained on former representative Liz Cheney. This must be disqualifying anyone who wants to be president of the United States who uses that kind of violent rhetoric is clearly disqualified and unqualified to be president.” Cardinal urges Catholics to vote for most pro-life presidential candidate On October 31st, EWTN anchor Raymond Orroyo interviewed U.S. Cardinal Raymond Burke about the moral obligation for Catholics to vote, reports LifeSiteNews.com. ARROYO: “Cardinal Burke, you recently posted moral questions regarding voting on your website. It's a guide for Catholics voting in the U.S. election next week. And you write this. ‘For Catholics, as for all men and women of good will, the question is, in fulfilling our civic duty to vote, how can we be obedient to the law of God written upon our hearts in the present situation of deplorable moral, and therefore cultural, decline and decay.' “In your guide, you emphasize human life, marriage, family, religious freedom as the pre-eminent issues for the common good for Catholics to consider as they go into the voting place. How and why should Catholics prioritize those above party allegiance or personality which seems to govern a lot of the vote today?” BURKE: “We are servants of God, first of all, and being good servants of God, then we are good servants to our country. And if we don't obey God's law, then we're not going to serve well our country. And so, these three goods -- human life from its inception to natural death, safeguarding the integrity of marriage and the family, and religious freedom, are written on the human heart. That's how God made us, inscribed His law on our hearts. “We must be obedient to that law. And in that obedience, we serve not only our own good, but the good of our neighbor, the good of the nation. And so, it's as simple as that.” Psalm 19:7-11 says, “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever.” Dog rescued from floating shopping cart in canal And finally, a 10-year-old dog was rescued after it was found floating down an Arizona canal on a submerged shopping cart, reports the Good News Network. No one knows how long it was stranded, After passersby alerted the Humane Society, an emergency animal medical technician and some firemen were able to save it. Upon examination by a vet, they discovered it only sustained minor injuries. After news reports of the dog trauma, the dog named Dorothea has since found a new home and is now living with a family in Youngtown, Arizona. “You meet them and you're like, ‘oh, wow, you're a good person trying to do the right thing, and there's nothing in it for you,'” says Andrew Yang, Founder and Co-Chair of the Forward Party. He's referring to largely volunteer teams around the country that have raised the profile for election reform in 2024. “I mean, what could be more worthy of praise than that combination of attributes?” Yang was a relative unknown upon entering the 2020 Democratic Presidential primaries. But that did not last long. He energized young voters with his informal approach to campaigning and practical position on innovative policies, such as universal basic income. “The reason I do what I do is because I don't have that positive an outlook as to what America's future looks like if we don't get our s%%# together,” says Yang, also an author and frequent commentator on major news networks. “Like it or not, the world's future is determined very much by what happens here in the United States.” Tune in to find out why Yang and the Forward Party support election reform in all its variations for 2024 and beyond. And why $200 million dollars spent on election reform, which is less than that spent on several Senate campaigns this year, could transform American politics for the better. OA1059 This week we welcome Rhode Island state senator Meghan Kallman for a conversation about the power of state lawmaking and ordinary people in elected office. Meghan is a professor of sociology at UMass Boston whose work in both the theory and practice of how people organize led her to a parallel career in politics. As the Democratic Presidential ticket coalesces around a woman and (for the first time since 1980!) a non-lawyer, we discuss the unique challenges which women still face in US politics at every level as well as what it is like for someone with no legal training or no political experience to run for and hold elected office. Also: How can state and local governments make progressive change even when the federal government can't or won't act? What is it like for someone with no legal training to write laws? And why is Rhode Island the last state in the Union to take an entire day off to celebrate the US victory over Japan? General Wesley Clark served as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander during the Yugoslav wars. After a career spanning more than three decades of military service, Clark ran as a Democratic Presidential candidate in 2003–before endorsing John Kerry. One Decision's Julia Macfarlane and former MI6 Chief Sir Richard Dearlove spoke to him about the veteran vote, his thoughts on the 2024 election, and, crucially, how the likely nominees, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, might choose to direct America's foreign policy at a time of war.
On this edition of Parallax Views, another double feature with two guests. First up, if there's any interview you listen to on my show this week make it this one, folks. David Dayen, executive editor of The American Prospect and author of Monopolized: Life in the Age of Corporate Power, joins the show to discuss his important article "The Corporate Wishcasting Attack on Lina Khan". Lina Khan was apponted by President Joe Biden to chair the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). In this role Khan, alongside the Antitrust Division of the Justice Department's Jonathan Kanter and others, has attempted to take on big tech, corporate power, and monopoly capitol in America. Billionaire LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman is apparently not happy about this because after donating $8.6 million to Super PACs supporting Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris has claimed Khan is “waging war on American business” and pushed for a Harris administration to dump her as FTC chair. Dayen and I will discuss why billionaires like Hoffman are so opposed to Harris and those who support strengthening antitrust laws and their enforcement in the U.S. We'll also discuss what Dayen argues the billionaire anti-antitrust crowd are leaving out about how Khan's agenda benefits working people over corporate profits. Although some reports indicate that Harris is skeptical of Khan's antitrust agenda and may as a result remove her, Dayen cautions that we don't know what a Harris administration will do with the antitrust agenda that has been ushered in by the Biden administration in recent years. Nonetheless, he argues that supporters of the antitrust movement should mobilize in support of Lina Khan now. Recently, a number of organizations, including the AFL-CIO and NAACP, signed a letter in support of Khan. At the end of the conversation we also discuss Dayen's latest article in "The Only Member of Congress Who Has Worked for Kamala Harris" in which he interviewed former Rep. Katie Porter who worked with Kamala Harris about her thoughts on how Harris will deal with big business and corporate interests. In the second segment of the show, the Revolving Door Project's Chris Lewis joins the show to discuss his American Prospect article, "The Dangerous Authoritarian Gunning to Serve as Trump's Grand Vizier". Chris and I take a closer looks at the figure of Trump loyalist and Christian nationalist Russ Vought, founder of the Center for Renewing America. Vought worked for the Trump administration from the director of the Office of Management and Budget from July 2020 to January 2021. Since then, he has become involved in the saga of the controversial Project 2025. Chris explains Vought's beliefs and rather authoritarian, even anti-constitutional or post-constitutional views on America. Additionally, Chris and I delve into the Project 2025 Schedule F scheme that would allow the President to sack numerous civil servants in various federal agencies to replace them with loyalists. Theoretically, this could lead to cranks with no knowledge in an agency's expertise in key positions they are not equipped to be in. In other words, imagine Infowars' Alex Jones, who has promoted using colloidal silver as supplement to counter coronavirus (despite the dangers of colloidal silver consumption), in a key position at the FDA.

Dorsey Substack, give one of his regular visits to discuss the latest in regard to the Middle East and Israel/Palestine. This time we examine Israeli Prime Minister's visit to Washington D.C. where he gave a speech to Congress that received multiple standing ovations despite the heavy criticisms Netanyahu has come under for both how the war in Gaza has been conducted and the safety of hostages. We'll discuss all of that as well as James's upcoming book The Battle for the Soul of Islam, the two-state vs. one-state solution, his views on the Confederation solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (and why he believes it looks good on paper, but has obstacles), the calculus of Netanyahu's speech to Congress, what a second Trump term may mean for Israel, the Israeli far-right, the settler movement, land swaps in relation to solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, presumptive Democratic Presidential candidate/current Vice President Kamala Harris and her rhetoric on Gaza, and much, much more.

(Got you to stand down :/ ) Kamala Harris broke fundraising records in the 24 hours following Biden's endorsement of her as the Democratic Presidential candidate. Are we feeling better about a Harris v Trump race than a Biden v Trump rematch? Dr. Sarah Steelman joins the panel today to discuss the impacts of self-diagnosis via social media (namely TikTok). Please note that her contributions to today's episode are not a replacement for therapy nor do they apply to everyone. A few weeks ago, Laura mentioned self-diagnosis via TikTok as a gripe, and Sarah followed up in our Facebook group agreeing based on her professional experience. What are the consequences of self-diagnosis, and how often are professionals in the mental health space seeing this? With increasing rates of diagnosed Autism and ADHD in general, has misdiagnosis or self-diagnosis contributed to existing structural issues in our healthcare system, like medication shortages? Is there ever a case for medical advice on TikTok to be taken seriously? What if someone has limited or no access to healthcare resources? What is the difference between a therapist and a psychiatrist? Sarah shares several things that can help you get started with addressing your mental health concerns: Psychology Today for finding a therapist in your area, contacting your insurance for a referral list of covered providers, giving your new therapist 2-3 sessions to see if they're a good fit, and come prepared with your questions about their therapeutic approach and scope of practice. This week's recommendations are part entertainment, part escapism: Veep on Max (Andrew), 'Zero Escape: The Nonary Games' (Laura), and Claim to Fame and Blood on the Clocktower (Sarah). And in this week's installment of After Dark, available on Patreon and Apple Podcasts: Continuing our discussion with Sarah from the main show, we turn to bad medical advice being touted on social media. With 55% of young adults regretting medical decisions they made based on misinformation online, how do we avoid getting pulled down these rabbit holes? Or are we the ones shoving garlic up our noses? The beauty and fitness industries are infamous for this too, and those scams far pre-date social media. TikTok just makes it worse! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In Episode 371 of Hidden Forces, Demetri Kofinas speaks with Henry Olsen, author of “Working Class Republican” and host of “Beyond the Polls” about the unprecedented circumstances surrounding Joe Biden's candidacy for the 2024 Democratic Presidential nomination, who will replace him, and why Donald Trump is well-positioned to win in 2024. Demetri and Henry Olsen examine the unprecedented circumstances surrounding Joe Biden's recent debate performance and the pressure mounting on him to withdraw from the race, including rumors that the U.S. President may in fact have Parkinson's disease or some other type of neurological disorder that disqualifies him from running in 2024. They speculate about who may be making policy decisions in the White House outside of the president himself, why so many Democrats and members of the press appeared surprised by the President's debate performance, Biden's potential replacement, and when (and how) his replacement will be chosen. In the second hour, Henry Olsen offers his opinion, backed by polls and decades of political experience, on what the 2024 election will ultimately be about and how this election will be remembered in American history. He and Demetri discuss the role immigration will play in this election, the possibility of a U.S. withdrawal from NATO under Donald Trump, the evolution of Trump's foreign policy since leaving office, the people who would staff the Trump Whitehouse and cabinet in 2024, and why Trump's likely choice for Vice President is so important. On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, it wasn't that long ago when both parties agreed that only American citizens should be allowed to vote in federal elections. Then Bill Clinton had an idea with motor voter - to register as many people as you could. It was the first time Democrats started chipping away at voter security and it has never stopped. When you destroy the sanctity of the vote you are destroying the right to vote. Democrats don't believe in voting - they believe in control, and power. The House passed a bill to ban illegal immigrants from voting in federal elections and every House Democrat voted against it except for 5 of them. We have a growing police state that demands facial recognition but when it comes to voter ID Democrats say that's racist. Also, the debate about President Biden has changed, it's no longer about his dementia, it's about whether Democrats can win or not with him. Sen Chuck Schumer is open to removing Biden as the Democratic Presidential nominee and Nancy Pelosi won't even say if she supports Biden. Not once do Democrats say what will benefit America, it's about what will help the Democrat party. Finally, Captain Sam Brown calls in to discuss his race for the Senate in Nevada against a Biden supporting leftist. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The Childhood Vaccine Schedule and Covid Vaccine Injury Presentation and Webinar. Dr. Peter McCullough, Professor Brian Hooker, Ph.D, Senator Ron Johnson, Dr. Scott Mitchell, Dr. Ryan Cole and Dr. Kirk A Milhoan. Dr. McCullough Delivers Message All Parents Need to Hear “This childhood vaccine schedule is not what we thought... I'm telling you, in total, it doesn't look good.” The 1986 Vaccine Injury Act even admits vaccines come with “unavoidable harms.” Five separate studies now show that “if children go natural, no vaccines whatsoever, they have the best outcomes.” “When I was a kid, the rate of autism was one in 10,000. Now it's one in 36,” @P_McCulloughMD explained. “And there's about 200 published manuscripts showing it's immune system dysregulation.” “And the vignettes, the mothers tell us that the child was fine up until the time they took multiple rounds of vaccines, and then they developed autism. Those vignettes are almost certainly correct. We can't pin it down to any single vaccine. But I'm telling you, in total, it doesn't look good. This epidemic of autism is a tsunami. And you know how many, many mothers now — [a] recent Kaiser Family Foundation survey shows about a third of mothers and young fathers going natural.” The Vigilant Fox “The CDC has never looked at long-term health outcomes of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children,” attested Professor Brian Hooker, Ph.D., during a presentation to the World Council of Health. Brian Hooker is senior director of science and research at Children's Health Defense and professor emeritus of biology at Simpson University in Redding, California, who has been doing advocacy and research around vaccine safety for 20 years. In light of the CDC's unwillingness to conduct long-term studies comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated children, Dr. Hooker took it upon himself to aggregate and conduct such studies. This is what he found. Top of Form Bottom of Form Dr. Hooker presented a study from Anthony R. Mawson and colleagues. This study collected information from moms who homeschooled their children and focused on children between the ages of 6 and 12. Link to Study Comparing the vaccinated and the unvaccinated, Mawson and colleagues discovered something stark. The odds ratios for a number of illnesses were through the roof for the vaccinated cohort. Children in the vaccinated population were found to be a staggering 30 times more likely to have allergic rhinitis compared to the unvaccinated children. A similar story followed for other conditions. Vaccinated children in Mawson's study were found to be 3.9 times more likely to have allergies, 4.2 times more likely to have ADHD, 4.2 times more likely to have autism, 2.9 times more likely to have eczema, 5.2 times more likely to have a learning disability, and 3.7 times more likely to have a neurodevelopmental disorder compared to the unvaccinated children. Dr. Mawson's research paper was initially published in the journal Frontiers in Public Health and gained considerable attention, accumulating over 80,000 views within the first three days. After widespread attention, the journal subsequently removed the paper, stating that it had never been fully accepted despite its earlier publication. The article underwent another round of peer review and was ultimately rejected by Frontiers. Undeterred by this turn of events, Dr. Mawson went on to republish his paper in the Journal of Translational Science in 2017. Critics will say, “This is just one study.” Well, Professor Brian Hooker and Democratic Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have accomplished quite the feat, compiling over 100 other studies like Mawson's comparing health outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated children. And what they've found is quite remarkable. Unvaccinated children consistently have better health outcomes than vaccinated children. The book is called Vax-Unvax: Let the Science Speak. Today, our interdenominational Christian ministry serves the poor in primarily 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Thanks to our faithful donors, we are able to provide food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief, micro-enterprise solutions and much more. We are proud to have fed millions of people and provided more than 15.7 billion dollars in aid. Our faith inspires us to be an organization built on compassion, and motivated by love. Our mission is to bring relief to the poorest of the poor in the countries where we serve. We strive to reflect God's unconditional love. It's a sacrificial love that embraces all people regardless of race or religion. We believe that we can show His love by serving the “least of these” on this earth as Christ challenged us to do in Matthew 25. We pray that by God's grace, and with your support, we can continue to bring relief to the suffering and hope to the hopeless.
