    Ivy Insights

The Three Rivers Land Trust Campfire Conversations podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in the Carolina outdoors. As a member of the Rocky River Trout Unlimited group, I was introduced to this podcast through a presentation by the Three Rivers Land Trust, and I immediately subscribed. The recent 2021 episode on duck hunting was especially incredible, despite me not being a duck hunter myself. The storytelling aspect of the podcast is top-notch, and the concept of HubHub is both innovative and useful. With COVID leading to record numbers of people camping, it's also great that they address outdoor activities like camping trailers having axles similar to boat trailers.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its educational value. The hosts have an evident passion for conservation and deliver informative content on various outdoor topics in every episode. It's incredibly educational for anyone living in the Carolinas who wants to learn more about their local environment and how they can contribute to conservation efforts. The Hot Tips segment in each episode provides practical advice and adds value to the overall listening experience.

However, there are some minor drawbacks to this podcast. In one episode, there was a mention of Cody's belt buckle being retired for "impressing the ladies" purposes, which may not resonate well with all listeners or necessarily add value to the conversation. Additionally, there was a comment about using strike indicators as just pretentious words for bobbers, which felt like it may have been borrowed from another source without proper attribution.

In conclusion, The Three Rivers Land Trust Campfire Conversations podcast is a fantastic resource for nature enthusiasts in the Carolinas. It offers educational content and updates on conservation activities while keeping listeners entertained with engaging storytelling. Although there are some small flaws here and there, they don't detract significantly from the overall experience. Whether you're an experienced outdoorsman or someone looking to spend more time in nature, this podcast will inspire and inform you while keeping you engaged throughout.
