Former Secret Service Agent Clint Hill died at his home in Belvedere  California just a few days ago on February 21st, 2025. He was  93. He's the Secret Service man that  will forever be remembered for his  own courageous  moment in Dealey Plaza.  On November 22 1963, starting from one car behind, he would dash and land on the trunk of the presidential limousine….just moments after the fatal shot hit president Kennedy.  As the famous films of that moment so vividly depict, and as the presidential  limousine accelerated,  he held  on... and he gently nudged  Mrs. Kennedy back into her seat. He did so after she had climbed onto the trunk of the limousine,  Mrs. Kennedy herself at that moment in shock and desperately lunging to retrieve  a part of her husbands brain and  skull. Agent Hill would hold on tightly and continue to shield the president and Mrs. Kennedy as the limousine accelerated to speeds of  up to  60  and 70 miles  per hour during  the ride to Parkland Hospital.His heritage was  Norwegian. and he was from North Dakota. He was drafted into the United States  Army,  and wound up being trained as a counter intelligence officer. After the military,  Hill would join the Secret Service and served on the presidential details beginning with Dwight Eisenhower. During the Kennedy years, he was assigned to guard  the first lady Jacqueline Kennedy.We are reminded that he was the only Secret Service agent to take the dash. He was the only agent to offer his body as a human shield  for  the President and Mrs. Kennedy in those moments where there was still uncertainty. Uncertainty  as to whether  more shots would be forthcoming. It was too late for the President and it was  Clint Hill's acknowledgment of that...with a thumbs down... to  those in the Secret Service car just behind...and that would be the first moment of consciousness that our nation had lost its President…There is no doubt that the Secret Service deficiencies in Dallas contributed to the President's death. But, there is also no doubt that Hills courageous acts that day were exemplary.  Just days after that moment in Dealey plaza, Agent Hill  was honored for his bravery…a moment that he himself  took little comfort in...With all of the controversy about the exact nature of the President's head wounds, there was likely no one that had more of an unfettered view of them then Clint Hill. He would hover over the top of the  President…as they raced to Parkland, his view unimpeded by others  for over five minutes, as they sped toward Parkland…with the rear of the President's head in plain view as it rested on Mrs. Kennedy.Clint Hill would remain as the Secret Service agent assigned to guard Jacqueline Kennedy until after the 1964 election. And  then he was assigned to President Johnson, back at the White House.  In 1967,  Hill was named as the Special Agent In Charge (SAIC) at the White House. When Richard Nixon was elected, he became the SAIC for the vice president Spiro Agnew.Agent Hill retired from the Secret Service in 1975, but he lived with the horror of that moment in Dallas for the rest of his life. Like the Secret Service in general, he steadfastly believed that it was Lee Harvey Oswald and Oswald alone that fired the shots that day in Dallas. And he steadfastly maintained that three shots... and only three shots... were fired. It can safely be said that Clint Hill was one of the good guys. Rest in peace, Clint Hill.

Adieu les super-héros et les super-pouvoirs, on retourne sur Terre avec Secret Invasion et les agents du SHIELD, rien de plus humain… enfin, sauf les extraterrestres qui ont infiltré la Terre, les Skrulls. Nick Fury est de retour, vieilli, blessé, sous-estimé par ses alliés tout comme ses ennemis, et clairement changé à tout jamais par le snap de Thanos. Secret Invasion marque le retour des anciens de l'univers Marvel, on y retrouve Rhodes, Talos, Agent Hill et de nouveaux visages qui intègrent l'univers comme Olivia Colman ou encore Emilia Clarke. Du côté comics, il s'agit d'une saga ambitieuse puisque le lecteur découvrait que plusieurs Skrulls infiltrés pouvaient se cacher sous les traits de leur super-héros favori ou tout simplement d'un chef politique important. Personne n'était à l'abri de cacher un Skrull à l'intérieur. Ce thriller d'espionnage qui joue bien sur la guerre froide a été créé par Kyle Bradstreet (Mr Robot) et réalisé par Ali Selim (Sweet Land). Secret Invasion sera composée de 6 épisodes qui commencera le 21 juin sur Disney+ et qui nous durera jusqu'à la fin juillet. https://youtu.be/w2DX6ggWT8c Soyons honnête, donner à Fury sa propre série est probablement la meilleure idée du MCU depuis un bon moment. Samuel L. Jackson a toujours cette aura autour de lui qui en impose. Alors maintenant imaginez Samuel L. Jackson avec Olivia Colman, sans filtre, sarcastique et ô si charismatique, cela pourrait être le plus gros avantage de Secret Invasion. Le casting est assez incroyable et sans fausse note. Côté histoire, Fury est donc rappelé sur Terre par son ami Talos qui lui apprend qu'il y a une branche dissidente de Skrulls qui veut prendre le pouvoir sur Terre. Il faut empêcher ces terroristes d'opérer ce coup d'état. Ici, pas d'effets spéciaux avec des explosions ou des pouvoirs de super-héros. Non, on revient aux armes à feu, aux bombes artisanales, à la guérilla, au niveau de l'action, le moteur chauffe petit à petit, et dans les prochains épisodes, il y en aura probablement plus. Emilia Clarke joue une jeune Skrull qui travaille pour le chef des terroristes mais dont le compas moral commence a se poser des questions. On y perçoit la flamme d'une Khaleesi qui a beaucoup de choses à montrer. Au final, revenir aux sources d'un thriller d'espionnage fait un peu de bien pour la série Marvel. Cela permet une respiration dans toutes ces super productions, et on revient juste à des jeux de pouvoirs stratégiques et à qui anticipera le plus son adversaire. Minute Fifty Three: From A Very Desperate Fury to Loki Dragging Things OutJoining us on the show, we have Declan Craggs from Scream Movie Minute.In the fifty-third minute of The Avengers...We start where we left off last minute – a key trailer shot of the Avengers at the conference table looking very pensive. What's Thor thinking about? Why don't any of them ask why it was so easy to catch Loki or why he didn't try to escape earlier? The conversation between Loki and Fury is great. Fury's quick end does make us wonder about that cut to Agent Hill. It sure feels like this was a legacy cut from the original edit when Hill was angry at Fury for getting them into this situation. Now, it just feels weirdly placed, particularly as it's a line directed at Tony, who's not even listening. Regardless, this all makes for an interesting conversation. Minute Thirty-Six: From A Bet Fulfilled to All the ToysJay Shepard from MCULocationScout.com and RetroZap.com joins us in this episode!In the thirty-sixth minute of The Avengers...We've got more helicarrier bridge, and it starts off with Steve paying $10 to Nick. Apparently, a flying ship did surprise Steve. We talk about this callback a bit. We also dig in on the use of face trace and how gross it makes us feel about what this secret government organization is up to. Steve is the only one who seems to give any sort of look to what they're doing, and even that is pretty mild. So is everyone here okay with it? We also see where Natasha disappeared to in our last minute. Bruce and Nick have a chance to chat. We also get to talk about an extended version of this scene which involved more of the tension between Agent Hill and Nick Fury. We're not sure how it plays, but it certainly would've given a better character arc to Hill over the course of the film. Clint Hill is best known for his role in the presidential motorcade during the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Mr. Hill was a Secret Service agent at the time, in charge of protecting First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. During the assassination on Elm Street in Dallas, while the shots were still ringing out, Agent Hill ran from the follow-up car, leapt onto the presidential limousine and shielded Mrs. Kennedy and President Kennedy with his body while the car sped toward Parkland Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hill has done many interviews about those six seconds in Dallas. You can find those on YouTube. Billy and Celia get assigned a joint feature on video dating, and though his reservations about taking on a subject that was passé even in 1992, this is Celia's first break at Escapade and she is determined not to let Billy and his sudden dim view of women screw it up for her. (Remember: she's new.) Just when Jake thinks he's all done informing to the FBI, Agent Hill asks him to wear a wire and record Palmer incriminating himself. Jake thinks he can just decline the request, so Agent Hill has to explain how Palmer hand-picked Jake to be his fall guy, and will pin all his crimes on Jake if the FBI can't make an airtight case against him. Michael continues trying to worm his way back into Jane's affections -- or, failing that, to inconvenience her so much that Robert will dump her -- but when he falls on the floor while he's at her place alone, Sydney's the only one to hear his cries for help, and proves she is his true soulmate by turning the situation to her advantage. Three Times the Veterinary Clinic | S-Cell After Trenton overdoses on pain pills, Falkhoff forces him and everyone else to vomit. Colt calls their handler with a mission update and requests help, and he promises to send someone out to take care of them. In the meantime, they come up with a plan to eliminate the duplicates infiltrating a suburban neighborhood. The next day, as they are leaving to meet the new Agents sent to help them, Dr. Falkhoff passes out because of the untreated knife wound he suffered at the hands of Hobbs. S-Cell comes to them at the veterinary clinic and demands that X-cell follows them to a secure location. The team starts to wonder about Agent Hill's exact wording and why a military-oriented S-cell showed up. Can they trust S-cell? Can S-cell trust them? Everyone's lives are starting to crumble in our homebrew scenario, "Pieces."
