Jesus' wounds have become your healing He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 AMP How do you enjoy the blessing of Divine Health? 1. Believe that Jesus died to set you free from sin, sickness and death; and accept and confess Him as your Saviour and Lord 2. Learn, know and walk in your identity in Christ by daily studying and meditating on God's Truth for you 3. Believe and confess what God says about your divine health 4. Control yourselves and be careful! …Refuse to give in to the devil. Stand strong in your faith...”1 Peter 5:8-9 ICB 5. Live wisely! “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”John 14:13-14 KJVWait! What? It seems too good to be true!Let's allow scripture to speak for itself today :) “Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will [instead] give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will [instead] give him a snake? If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.”(Matthew 7:7-11) AMP*Why then am I not receiving what I am asking for?“You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires.”James 4:3 AMP*How do I avoid doing this? In other words how do I make sure my motives are pure?“So then, in everything treat others the same way you want them to treat you, for this is [the essence of] the Law and the [writings of the] Prophets.”Matthew 7:12 AMPHello Everyone! If you have stuck with me today you can see that I have allowed scripture to speak for itself, and this is how it should be! :) Be encouraged today! God's Word is His will and it's packed with so many awesome treasures just waiting to be found, but it's gonna take some tenacity, courage, and digging on our part to glean from it especially when faced with opposition from the enemy. Listen, the enemy wants only to steal, kill, and destroy and he wants to have his followers do the same. However, Jesus wants to give life and it more abundantly and wants His followers to do the same! Don't be mistaken, God and the devil are not equals, not even close! Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven.” (Luke 10:18) He is a defeated, detoothed, de-clawed foe! However, if he get get your mind off the Word of God and over into the land of doubt and disbelief, he can get you to believe just about anything. Therefore, it is imperative, especially in these crazy times we are living that we immerse ourselves in the Bible! Then we can have the confidence to know that we are walking in Love and will in fact receive whatever we ask for in prayer! It really is that simple and if you are struggling with the simplicity of it or if you are struggling with believing it, you just need to spend some more time with Jesus! Come on saints! Let's show the world how good God is by developing an intimate walk with Him! When they see us asking for stuff and then so freely giving it away - thats when they are going to be the most receptive to gospel! Keep on asking, believe you recieve it, and walk in love! “Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God's gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].”Hebrews 4:16 AMPHow many times have we gone to God with half prayers, never truly believing He will answer us to the fullest? We go to Him with outstretched hands begging for something, anything that He can spare.“God if you could just help me pay this one bill, pay half the rent, buy this old vehicle, please Lord, anything you can spare. I know I don't deserve it...”Hearing it like that may sound a bit over the top, but its so true. Many times we find ourselves pleading and begging God for help instead of boldly believing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or even imagine! :) I love how the amplified Bible words it, “Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,”Ephesians 3:20 AMPBe encouraged today! He doesn't want to help you only with one bill, He wants to provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! He wants you to have the best! He is your Heavenly Father and He loves you - more than you could ever dream or imagine! You are ever before Him, on His mind! The Bible says if you were to try and count God's precious thoughts toward you, they are innumerable like the sand on the seashore! (Psalm 139)The Bible says, if your son asks you for bread, will you give him a stone? It goes on later to say, so then you, who posess an evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, therefore HOW MUCH MORE will He give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:7-11)Today, as you go before your Heavenly Father, come boldly before His throne and believe that he is able and willing to do far above all you could ever imagine in your life! He wants to! His Word is His will! :) In Christ,Joshua Scott Zeitz
Love I’m a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world. Mother Teresa (God is the lead in our pencil) By Pastor George Lehman What is God writing with your life? “When one has once fully entered the realm of love (agape), the world, no matter how imperfect, becomes rich and beautiful, it consists solely of opportunities for love.” - Soren Kierkergaard We see the world through God’s eyes. Agape is total love. ”It is the love that consumes the person who experiences it. Whoever knows and experiences agape learns that nothing else in the world is important – just love.” - Paolo Coelho Where there is love there is peace, joy, kindness, faithfulness, and self-control. Many times, we want to place the responsibility for love upon the actions, attitudes, and reactions of others. If they are kind, nice, caring and loveable I will show love. “We love the most the ones we love the least.” – We love others best when we love God most. We all want to be loved, admired, and respected by others. That’s not the basis of real agape love. That is simply the basis of selfishness and self-interest and self-serving. It’s about loving the unlovable. True love begins with you and me. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (NIV) – If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. Matthew 7:21-23 (NIV) – 21”Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Jesus spoke hard to the religious order of the day about this. Luke 11:42 (LB) – “But woe to you Pharisees! For though you are careful to tithe even the smallest part of your income, you completely forget about justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but you should not leave these other things undone. Jesus’ warning: Matthew 24:10-13 (NIV) – 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Stand firm in love) Romans 12:9-10 (Amp) – 9 Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing—without guile* and hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on tightly to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honour. *guile = Bedrog; Being crafty and deceiving Ephesians 3:17 (Amp) – So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] *rooted and [securely] grounded in love, *rooted = no root, no fruit Colossians 3:14 (Amp) – Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others]. Simply this: John 15:9-10 (LB) – 9 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Live within my love.10 When you obey me you are living in my love, just as I obey my Father and live in his love. Paul reminds us: Romans 5:5 (Amp) – Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 8:35 (Amp) – Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? We have no excuse not to love. Romans 8:38-39 (Amp) – 38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Legalism says God will love us if we change. The Gospel says God will change us because He loves us. The verse I am reflecting on – fearless love. 1 John 4:18-19 (Amp) – 18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. 19 We love, because He first loved us. #1 The protection of perfect love. This gives us security and confidence in our relationship with God. When we have perfect love, we will make other people feel secure and confident around us. #2 The power of perfect love. Psalm 36:7 (Amp) – How precious is Your loving kindness, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. This love enables us to change and experience freedom from fear and all its forms. #3 The potential of perfect love enables us to… A: Live without condemnation. B: Live free from rejection. C: Live free from judgment. D: Live free from the fear of man. E: Live freely in a love that totally accepts you, forgives you and restores you. #4 The problem of imperfect love (the one who fears) When you are not living and practicing in the knowledge of God’s true agape love for your life... …your life causes others to be drawn away from God by what your life is teaching about God. John 13:34-35 (Amp) – 34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” The agape love is not an optional extra for those who are willing to have it in their lives. It is a command for every child of God. It is a Fruit we display. Jude: 21(NIV) – Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. *****
Be Imitators of GodOur Greatest TreasureThe more we’re around people we admire and like, the more we become like them. The same is true of God, the more time we spend with Him the more we become like Him. Not just knowing about Him and striving to be like Him. It is about encountering Him.Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters. And continue to walk surrendered to the extravagant love of Christ, for he surrendered his life as a sacrifice for us. His great love for us was pleasing to God, like an aroma of adoration—a sweet healing fragrance. - Ephesians 5:1-2 (TPT)Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance. - Ephesians 5:1-2 (AMP)How is God calling you to imitate Him today? You are created to be like Him.Thank You!Becoming a PatronIf you are one of the many who have been blessed by Cultivate Connection, please consider becoming a monthly patron. Wellness. What does that word conjure up in your mind? Physical health? Mental health? What about spiritual health? Where most people would agree that physical and mental health are of paramount importance, rarely do we assess our spiritual health, let alone work diligently toward increasing in it. Thoughts of this spirit can be :• I don’t belong ... • Estranged - (caused to be unloved)• Self banished• Temporary resident (don’t belong)• Alienation = seperation (hostility)• Anti Christ and His provision• Anti love , hope , provision •Anti family • Anti husband/wife ...Sy houvas op jou is om te glo hierdie gedagtes is jou eie, en dat dit die waarheid is, (juis omdat jy al hierdie gevoelens voel)!Reasoning is beclouded, it makes the truth less visible ; unclear! Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature]. (Ephesians 4:18 AMP)“The eyes are like a lamp for the body. If your eyes are sound, your whole body will be full of light; but if your eyes are no good, your body will be in darkness. So if the light in you is darkness, how terribly dark it will be! (Matthew 6:22-23 GNB)The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! (Matthew 6:22-23 KJVA)And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities, Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father's] presence. (Colossians 1:21-22 AMP)How to overcome this spirit :• Remember Jesus and what He has done• Repent of wrong thoughts• Repent of hard heart• Repent of wilfull blindness• Repent : hostile attitude of mind • Kom met geloof, Hy ontvang jou graag• Ontvang Sy geregtigheid• Maak jouself deel - Kol 1:27• Aanvaar Sy volkome werk• Neem beheer oor jou gedagtes • Ontmasker satan se plan - • (2 Kor 10:4-6 ; Matt 4:1-10) • bely “I am well-accepted in the beloved” Efe 1:6• Ek is wat ek is deur die genade van God (1 Kor 15:10)“Maar deur die genade van God is ek wat ek is.
