Maar dink vir 'n oomblik daaroor na: daar is iets edels en verrykend daaraan om ‘n uitdaging aan te pak en jou heel beste te gee, of hoe? ‘n Mens voel sommer goed wanneer jy die moeite doen om ‘n moeilike taak aan te pak; dis asof dit sommer sy eie beloning inhou.Dis seker hoekom Henry Ford op 'n slag gesê het: Kap jou eie hout, dan maak dit jou twee keer warm. Zwischen Käsekessi, Kuhglocken und Harmonie sprechen wir mit Gabi Elmer-Freuler über ihre Sommer auf der Alp. Der Tag auf der Alp Empächli beginnt früh. Wenn Gabi Elmer-Freuler morgens um fünf Uhr den Stall betritt, warten 43 Kühe darauf, gemolken zu werden. Zwölf Schweine möchten gefüttert – und natürlich gekrault werden. Später wird Käse gemacht, gemistet, geputzt und wieder gemolken. Bis am Abend um 22 Uhr reiht sich eine Arbeit an die nächste. Seit zehn Sommern verbringt Gabi Elmer-Freuler gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann Christian die Alpsaison auf der Alp Empächli oberhalb von Elm. Aus der frischen Milch entstehen hier rund 900 Laibe Alpkäse sowie Mutschli und Glarner Alpkäse AOP. Damit aus Milch ein hochwertiger Käse wird, braucht es viel Erfahrung, sauberes Arbeiten und höchste Sorgfalt – jeden einzelnen Tag. Doch der Musikwelle Brunch zeigt noch eine andere Seite der Älplerin. Gabi kennt jede ihrer Kühe. Sie merkt sofort, wenn es einer nicht gut geht. Beim Melken wird nicht einfach gearbeitet – sie beobachtet, fühlt und hört hin. Beim Käsen wird jeder Handgriff zum Ritual. Harmonie, sagt sie, sei wichtig. Sie zeichnet mit dem Käselab eine liegende Acht in die Milch, lebt bewusst im Hier und Jetzt und vertraut oft auch auf die Kraft der Homöopathie. Dabei spricht sie offen über das Leben auf der Alp. Darüber, was ihr sprichwörtlich manchmal «stinkt», warum sie den Duft des Stalls trotzdem liebt, weshalb sie am Abend müde, aber glücklich ins Bett fällt – und warum sie sich nach einem intensiven Alpsommer ebenso auf den Herbst im Tal freut. Denn unten wartet ein ganz anderer Beruf auf sie: Als ComeS-Therapeutin begleitet sie Menschen mit derselben Ruhe, Aufmerksamkeit und Achtsamkeit, die sie auch auf der Alp lebt. Der Musikwelle Brunch begleitet Gabi Elmer-Freuler auf der Alp – vom Melken über das Käsen bis zu den zwölf neugierigen Hausschweinen, ihren ganz persönlichen «Followern». Es ist eine Begegnung voller Humor, Ehrlichkeit und eindrücklicher Einblicke in einen Alltag, der oft romantisiert wird, in Wirklichkeit aber viel Einsatz, Verantwortung und Herzblut verlangt. Letní filmový hit Odyssea od Christophera Nolana trhá divácké rekordy a my jsme se v podívali na to, v čem je film silný a co mu oproti původnímu dílu chybí. Zaměřujeme na otázky spojené s filmovou adaptací přes tři tisíce let staré epické básně. Podíváme se i na hysterické reakce ultrapravice, která se dožaduje historické přesnosti díla. Může být vůbec mýtus, ve kterém vystupují kyklopové, čarodějnice, sirény, monstra a nad vším dohlížejí bohové, historicky přesný? V pozadí těchto nářků je evidentní to, že tím volají spíše po bělošských hercích a herečkách. Elon Musk už slíbil vytvořit za pomocí AI novou verzi filmu, která bude údajně více odpovídat historickým reáliím doby, ve které se příběh Odysseji odehrává. Na výsledek takového pokusu se hodně těšíme. V díle se ale dozvíte více o původním díle, jak vůbec epická báseň vznikala, do jaké míry jsou humor a erotika podstatné pro Odysseu, jaký je anglický překlad díla od Emily Wilson, nebo jaké české překlady si přečíst.
