It does mine as well, but as much as it’s all that it’s also funny, creative, never boring and down right crazy. I know life can throw us for many loops, but I like to find encouragement through Gods love, grace and purpose for my life; and I know he can do the same for you. Won’t you join me? "O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potterʻs hand so are you in my hand." Jeremiah 18:7-10:  If I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed, but then that nation renounces its evil ways, I will not destroy it as I had planned.  And if I announce that I will plant and build up a certain nation or kingdom, but then the nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would. Isaiah 43:19: For I am about to do something new.  See, I have already begun!     Aloha friends,I am so excited and moved really to be here on the podcast again through the moving of the Holy Spirit! This week is a HOLY WEEK as we are in the days leading up to the day of Jesus's death and his resurrection for our lives. I can honestly say I have never been more excited to learn about this week and allow the Holy Spirit to fill me up in it because learning as an adult how wonderful this story and this truth really is, is enough to fill me and fuel me for a lifetime. Today as I was doing my daily devotional starting my day off right I came to have a beautiful revelation on this holy Wednesday, it's the day that Jesus reveals he knows what's about to happen to him and he knows who will put the plan into action of his death and resurrection, and even when he knows and he understands what is about to happen he keeps going and he acknowledges that this is what has to happen in order for many of us to be saved. He doesn't run, he doesn't try to change the outcome or stop it he allows it to happen as planned and I don't know about you but I am not that brave, if I could avoid a toe stub I would, but Jesus is perfect and wonderful and endures suffering and death to defeat death itself for me and for you!! Join me today as we get fired up and ready for resurrection Sunday!!   Scriptures in today's episode2 Corinthians 12:10:  That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.  John 12: 8: "You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me."     Aloha folks,    I know that this topic has popped up a few times on the podcast and maybe it is a little repetitive. I found God challenging me in this season to talk more openly and freely about generational curses in a more specific light like parenting or marriage.  It was a little scary at first and I took a little while to record this episode, but the strength of the Holy Spirit was great and allowed me to record this episode.  I hope that you can find truth and encouragement in this episode.  If you feel like you are in this season with me I just want you to know that God is with us all and that we can break generational curses by choosing something different.  beginning quote:  "The Holy Spirit has come to live in you like a river, not like a pound.  A river.  flows and moves freely.  A pond sits and moves freely.  A pond sits and moves now and A river reaches out to new places and nourishes new ground.  A pond is self-contained and can become stagnant.  The love of God in you first comes to bless and enrich your life, but its course is to flow out from within you to touch and enrich other hearts." -Roy LessinScriptures: 1. Exodus 20:5-6:  You must not bow down to them or worship them for I the Lord your God am A jealous god who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.   I lay the sins of their parents upon their children the entire family is affected.  Even children in the thrid and fourth generations.  Of those who reject me.  But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations of those who love me and obey my commands.

    Aloha friends, Welcome back to Faith In Between, today I want to talk about JOY and Finding Joy in all the things that we do in our lives.   I know we sometimes like to believe that in order to find the joy we need to do something crazy and outrageous or dangerous, but I can assure you, there is joy all around you in your everyday life.  I'll talk to you about what I find joy in my days and how I have been linking God and what I do together for lasting JOY! My Joys-Being a Homemaker -Working at Paradise Cove-Handwriting -conversation -making Lei Po'o (Haku or flower crown) Scriptures1. Proverbs 17:22: A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength. 2. Romans 14:16-18: Then you will not be criticized for something you believe is good.  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  If you serve Christ with this attitude you will please God and others will approve of you, too.3. Colossians 3:23:  Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you are working for the Lord and not for people. 4.     Aloha family and friends, this is our last and final episode for the year 2022, I know it hasn't been consistent and in the least bit "entertaining" for you folks these past few months and I do apologize for that.  My season has been a little exhausting with a new home and a new job all in the same year.  Crazy is an understatement, to say the least, but non the less I still cherish my podcast and I am ramping up to bring you, folks, lots more in 2023.  I'm not sure what God has in store so I won't make any set-in-stone promises, but I can assure you that whatever happens in 2023 will be led by Christ and founded upon Christ.  I appreciate the support and love that you have shown the podcast over the past few years and ask that you extend grace and patience as you witness firsthand the work that God is doing in my life. Today I want to share with you folks a poem/prayer that I recently came in contact with through a book that we will be reading in the coming weeks with my Church.  The book is called, Un-Common Life by Art Sepulveda our senior pastor at Word of Life Christian Fellowship.  Tucked within the first few pages of this book I had the pleasure of reading this beautiful poem/prayer that pastor Art used to beautifully display his point of needing to be awakened in this critical time.  I thought it perfect as we end out the year 2022 and step into the year 2023 to read, ponder and depict this short poem/prayer to help fuel us into the new year.  I hope you folks enjoy today's wonderful episode and I hope that your new years eve and new Year are safe, beautiful, and blessed.  Mahalo for listening to and supporting the podcast!     Faith In Between -"What Now?" (The Moment after dedicating your life to Christ)

    Aloha everyoneI hope this episode finds you in good spirits and blessings.  Today is an episode that I find needs to be spoken about because it's often left alone, and for me if I leave it alone I feel like things won't move in the direction or "way" that God needs for them to go.  We often give our lives back to God or to God for the first time and after a few days of being excited and on fire for God, we start losing momentum and eventually falling back into a place of stagnant water; where we start sinking in and getting lost all over again.  It's frustrating and it's scary.  If this is what you currently; do not fret, join me today as we work through this and more on today's episode. Reading for this episode 1 John 1: 1-10 1 John 2:1-17Key Points for the reading (taken from The Women's Study Bible:ESV)1 John 11:5-10: "God is light" Reflects the OT, where "light" symbolizes both knowledge and purity"1:7: "Walk in the Light means to reflect God's perfection in daily life. It includes both correct doctrine (truth) and moral purity(Holiness).  This phrase also implies that when Christians "walk in the light" their lives will not be characterized by hidden sins, lies, or deception."1:10: " Have not sinned, his word is not in us. Until a person recognizes sin and the need for salvation, the gospel has not changed him." 1 John 22:6: "Walk in the same way.  Believers can imitate Christ's faith, love, devotion, obedience, and selflessness."  2:7-17- "The unchanging commandment in a changing world. John does not consider the whole created order evil. Rather, he gives examples of what believers should avoid.     Aloha!Welcome back to Faith In Between,  Yes I know we are back to Faith In Between, I had been wrestling with God for such a long time until he finally answered me and heard my cry to him about where my life needed to be and he answered me... I am still on a Holy Spirit High and I have been allowing the Holy Spirit to lead me in these episodes.  With that being said my goal is that you find value in these episodes and that you are able to enjoy the conversations that we have here.  Today I want to talk about mentorship and my experience with it thus far, I haven't been in a mentorship program before, I thought I was but then when I came into this program I can see that I clearly haven't.  So today we talk about that and also I'm sharing just my thoughts and hearts on motherhood and marriage and how that all goes together in life.  I know there is ALOT going on in this one, but I promise you it's A LOT of great things that God is bringing to my heart for you ladies. so please enjoy! RECAPS1E009: You are enough! Isaiah 1:19: For if you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land.  you don't have to be perfect you just need to be willing and obedient to Christ as you go and the rest will work out in God's timing.  Trusting in Him through it all. Scriptures in today's episode: Proverbs 31: 11-12:  Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. she brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.  Proverbs 31: 25-26: She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. I am your host Uilani Kumuhone and I am so glad to be back here today with you.  Today is a very special type of episode because although today's date is April 26th I am actually recording this on April 16th, 2022, the day before resurrection day!     Hello hello and welcome back to home sweet home making, as always my name is Uilani Kumuhone and today's episode we are going to be talking about some pretty big things, but before we get into all of that I just want to remind you that here on the podcast if your not familiar we talk about all things as a homemaker, and no haven't talked about anything physical in the role of a homemaker yet, but we have been focusing on the spiritual, emotional and mental side of being a home maker because if your listening im sure you know and understand the hard mental and emotional work it takes to be a homemaker its so much more then cooking, cleaning and all the other fabulous things that we do every single day; so this epidote is no different we are still on our emotional, mental and spiritual journey here on the podcast and God has not since lead me into another route so I am going to continue to follow Gods lead and whatever he brings to me to talk about here on the episode I know is important for everyone including me so here we are. But I really do hope and pray that any if not all of the episodes do bring you to value and encouragement to your role as a homemaker because I know that I need these times to let loose and have really good conversations with other women who understand and know what I do and can just continue on in conversation with me because I do feel really good to just have good conversations and that's my goal here good, meaningful christ filled conversations with women (or men) like you!     S1E006:The Silent enemy in Our Lives

    Hello hello and welcome back to the show, If you are new to the podcast welcome, here Is where we hang out and talk stories about all kinds of stuff, lately we've been focusing on the deeper stuff that lives within our hearts or hearts as homemakers, we haven't done much like physical homemaking stuff, but I'm still settling into my new home and am definitely not ready to start talking about all of it.  But I love to talk about things that I feel will bring encouragement and clarity to our lives as homemakers, the world has grown so much and I like to keep up with the times but also I like some things of the past that I think just make sense even today.  But I hope that you enjoy the show and if you do at the end I'll tell you exactly what you need to do and how to do it.. but for now let's jump into our re-cap I just wanted to let you all know just how much I appreciate each of you and welcome to everyone who is new.Re-cap of the last Ep-Title: Words for Life-What it was about: it was basically about three very important words that I have grown to know and understand and even appreciate in my life.  One was a word for the year, the next was a word for my life and last was a word that God has spoken over me since I was a little girl.-Key points: the three words are THRIVE: the word for my year, JOY: my life word, and last PEACEMAKER: the name God has called me throughout my life.  Three tips: 1. pray2. Look back through your life and find that consistent positive thing that is you3. start looking at yourself through the lens of beauty. start finding those things for yourself that you know God has given to you, Blessed you with. As always these are not solid, must do steps to get these, these are basically what I do and what helped me to find these words that I shared above. The words that I live by and the ones that will carry me through the Course of my life.Limiting beliefs (and I found this on google on a site called Asana.) is “A state of mind or belief about yourself that restricts you in some way.”Here are some of the limiting beliefs that I could resonate with during that training. “I can't do it”“If my husband doesn't support me I can't be successful”“I can't be in business and in family, I have to pick one”1 Timothy 1:6-7:  This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.  For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (other translations  “A sound mind”)  Tips1.Pray: Ask God to help you figure out what are those limiting beliefs that you hold on to in your mind2. write them down so you can see them. Today I want to talk about three major words in our lives first our life word, what word will be your word for your entire life? I know pretty heavy right?? well it really doesn't have to be, next is your word for your year, what for this year is that word that you will refer back to when you are in the middle of a tough decision, what will kind of guide you to those moments or even through those moments in your year? and then lastly the name/purpose God has given to you, who has he called you in your life till today?       I know all of these things are crazy and cannot be talked about all in one episode, well I promise you that God has been speaking to you on it you just have to open your heart and mind up to what he is telling you.    so join me and let us see how we can figure out these Words for Life!     S1E004-Expectations&Temptations

    Hello hello and welcome back to another episode of the Home Sweet Homemaking podcast.  If it's your first time, hello and welcome I am so happy that you're joining us today.  Today I want to talk about our Expectations and our Temptations; Why? well because we all have them and depending on how we set up our expectations in our mind and what kinds of temptations that is in our lives it can cause us a lot of stress, disappointment and failure ultimately, but luckily we are not alone in our struggle, God understands us 100% in our "humanity". He not only understands but he offers us an escape from our temptations and he will guide our steps in the midst of our high expectations that can cause us to "drift" from where God actually needs us to be.  Today I want to focus on these two things to help us bring clarity and comfort to our struggles.   Expectations scriptures Proverbs 16:9: The heart of men plans his way but the Lord establishes his steps. (ESV) (NLT) Within your heart, you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there. Psalm 37:5&23: (NLT) commit everything you do to the Lord trust him and he will help you. Psalm 37:23: (NLT) The Lord directs the steps of the godly He delights in every detail of their lives. Temptations scripturesMatthew 24:44: Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak (ESV) (NLT) Keep alert and pray that you'll be spared from this time of testing. Your Spirit is eager enough but your humanity is weak. 1 Corinthians 10:13: No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Matthew 6;24: No one can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.     Aloha and welcome back! in today's episode I will be talking about Being a homemaker in a home that isn't yours.  I know that there are many people currently in the middle of this particular circumstance especially with rent and home prices in Hawaii.  I want to shed some light on this and hopefully navigate this area a little better.     Have you Ever Heard that saying, “You cannot pour from an empty cup?” Essentially that if we are not filling ourselves up by intaking good and satisfying things, things that bring us Joy and ultimately peace in our souls then how do we expect to give others those things? Why is this so important right now? Because as homemakers we are responsible for our homes and everyone and thing in it. If we are unable to pour out love, peace, care, and understanding, it means we are not filling ourselves up first we are not taking care of our well-being before we try to take care of the well beings of others and both are equally important in our lives.  So I want to ask you today What Fills You Up, girl?At the end of the episode, I want to read a passage from one of my resources that fills me up so stay tuned for that I will share that at the ending.  "Homemaking is what we do it isn't all we do."Because we are more than just homemakers all that we choose to fill us up needs to be taken into great consideration.  I have three tips for when you are trying to find things that fill you up1.     Aloha and welcome to the Home Sweet Homemaking podcast, my name is Uilani Kumuhone and I will be your forever host for the show.  As a full-time homemaker and a mother to 5 young children, I found this job isn't only hard, but also necessary.  I hope that this podcast encourages and inspires you in your homemaking role; remember this is exactly where God wants you to be so if you are ready join me and let us talk about all things homemaking it's going to be great so let's go! Today I wanted to do some brief introductions, nothing special just talking stories and getting a few things out of the way before we jump into our very first full-blown episode.  which by the way is on JANUARY 4, 2022! I have been a full-time homemaker since 2013 when I had my oldest son.  It wasn't an ideal situation at all, but like most parenthood startups we are all sort of pushed into a position of a parent and then a homemaker as well.  I was 21 just graduated college and living with. my parents.  So you can imagine it was a unique situation as far as homemaking went because it wasn't fully my own home, but it really doesn't have to be for it to be a place you call home.  I understand how sometimes we can get discouraged in our homemaking role especially how the world around us runs and I know sometimes there is the pressure of feeling like we need to do more than what we are doing, but I want us to feel confident in this role that God has called us to, that's right called us. We as homemakers are called to this role and even though it's tough at times to feel that way confidently or see it when we trust in God to guide our life we cannot go wrong.  God doesn't make mistakes and he definitely isn't starting with us.  God knew exactly what he was doing when he created homemakers and he knows how important of a role we hold in the world so let's be confident in our role girl.  I hope that you've heard exactly what you needed to in this introductory episode.  I am so excited to fully kick off our brand new podcast and just the new journey that God has all of us on.     Aloha, Faith In Between familyI know you are looking at the title and thinking the worst.  I promise you this is a bitter-sweet moment for me and for the journey and for our podcast.   In our season Finale episode last week I mention that I wanted to do more "homemaking content" and talk more about family and marriage etc.  As I prayed and asked God to reveal to me where it is that I need to be in this new season of life and he told me that he is calling me to an entirely new phase in my life and in my podcasting journey.  He told me that I would no longer be hosting and producing Faith In Between (which scared me half to death because I absolutely love what I do here), but he told me instead that I would be hosting a producing an entirely new podcast surrounded around my role as a homemaker.  Placing me in a place that needs more encouragement and more inspiration in our roles as homemakers of this world.   I know that God is calling me to this and that I need to be obedient to his plans for me.  I knew immediately I needed to address this HUGE transition for the podcast and I thought of each of you.  I'm here to not only say Goodbye to Faith In Between but also welcome you to join me on our new podcast "Home Sweet Homemaking."   I know you I know your thinking, but I'm not a homemaker well don't be discouraged there is still plenty of content that I'm sure you will connect and resonate with.  I also want to assure you that I am not going anywhere.  The exact same channel that you see right here will slowly change in look and dynamic over the course of this month.  That's right no need to go looking for the new podcast all you need to do is be sure you subscribed here and everything will keep on keeping on.  We are still scheduled to launch on JANUARY 4TH, 2022! but instead of season 5 of Faith In Between we will actually launch season 1 of Home Sweet Homemaking.  I will keep all of Faith In Between episodes up on this page so if you want to listen again and share them you can easily do that still.  I know that God is doing wonderful things for all of us and I am excited and nervous to start this new journey with all of you!!     Aloha friends,    Can you believe that it has been another full season here on the podcast, I can't believe that it is coming to an end... this is our season finale. Today as we exist a beautiful season I am sad, excited, filled, and ready to move forward into 2022. After the last two years we have had I know how hard it is for us to feel like there is anything good to look forward to, but I promise you there is sister there really is!    Today I want to talk about having thankful hearts all the time, we start at Ephesians 5:20:  Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   I want us to remember that we need to remember to give thanks to God the Father ALWAYS AND FOR EVERYTHING!!  This is where we start and from here I want to get more into depth about why we should give thanks, who we give thanks to, and the things that we should be thankful for.    Come join me on our season finale as we wrap up another wonderful season and year.  I can't wait to jump in.  let's go. scriptures in today's episode. -Ephesians 5:20:  Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. -Ephesians 5:15-20:  So be careful how you live.  Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise.  Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.     Aloha, Welcome back to another episode on Faith In Between actually its our second to our last episode of our season 4 Finally!! I didn't even realize it either I know I know, but today I want to talk about checking your heart posture.  Have you checked on it lately? yeah I know me to not until this episode did I realize that I needed to check my hearts posture.  Join me today and lets check our hearts posture and see what God wants from us.   Jeremiah 17:9:  the heart is deciteful above all things and beyond cure.  Who can understand it? proverbs 4:23: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.  (scripture I forgot about) Ephesians3:20: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.  psalms 51:10: Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Ezikiel 36:26: I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. psalms 84:11: For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. I understand that we are all in circumstances that we wish that we could get out of and I understand that hard situations can cause us to become ungrateful and to focus on the things that are hurting us rather then the one who can change it all for us!Check your hearts sisters and lets pray those things that are crowding it and corrupting it and lets bring them to light.  Bring them to light so that we can diminish the enemy in our lives.  Our Season Finally will be on November 30th.     Aloha Guys and welcome back to Faith In Between, I feel like it has been a hot minute since I have been with you folks on the show so hello and Im so happy to be back.  Today I go through a lot of things mainly on some challenges that God has been going extra hard on me with.  There's family tides, self growth and other things that are totally out of my control.  So I know that we have been in a changing season since October rolled out and is now done and over with.  I feel like we are being set up to go into November better, stronger and wiser women in Christ, but first we gotta get this season done with by "Seeking First the Kingdom of Heaven."Scriptures from the episode-Joshua 21:45:  "Not one of all the Lords good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled."   -Matthew 1:16-17:  and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the messiah.  thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah. -Matthew 6:9-13:  "This, then, is how you should pray:  Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.-Matthew6:14:  For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.  -Matthew 6:15:  But if you do no forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.  -Matthew 6:33-34:  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own. -Matthew 8:25-26:  The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! we're going to drown!"
