January Jones welcomes Danny Bader, author of Back From God's Front Porch: 5 Principles to Create a Happy and Fu This is the story of one man's struggle to be alive again after an accident claims the life of his friend and nearly his own. After spending a few moments on Heaven's front porch with God, he is thrust back into his old life. In the months that follow, he struggles to find purpose and meaning in the day to day of life. In his quest, he uncovers five principles necessary to move him from just living again to being fully alive! "A wonderful story that reminds all of us of simple keys to living a fulfilling directed life in service to others. It reminded me once more of the power of vision and letting go. Once I started reading I could not put it down. What did Jesus mean when He said, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2)? Where was He going and why did He have to go? In context, Before Jesus announces His plan to “go to prepare a place for you,” He explains to the disciples that their hearts shouldn't be troubled and that they should believe in Him (John 14:1). When Jesus left, He wouldn't be leaving them for no purpose because He had a plan… but they were disturbed that they wouldn't be able to be with Him, so He comforts them by explaining how one day they would be with Him, again. ____________________________________________________________________ COMMENTS: yvonnetheauthor@gmail.com ____________________________________________________________________ TO PURCHASE MY BOOKS: https://www.amazon.com/Yvonne-Randle/e/B00D5SKEDW%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share?fbclid=IwAR3otQzNZCgFthQigTc_6hKgFM9Zy8Q8ANtJDyNHFj7LEfOCphbCd8wgguM --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/healthywealthywisedating/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/healthywealthywisedating/support

In 2007, he created a business that aims to help others truly understand themselves by creating a powerful vision for their futures. Danny has distilled his philosophy for a fulfilling life into 5 principles he calls jckrbbt®. His unique framework helps people craft vision, renew energy, and leverage positive mindsets to get out of the monotony and discouragement they have been stuck in for far too long. Danny has traveled the world speaking and leading thousands of life changing workshops to help individuals manage their focus and leverage their personal vision and goals for a higher rate of success. Danny has written 4 books; ‘Back From Heaven's Front Porch: 5 Principles To Create A Happy And Fulfilling Life’, ‘Abraham's Diner: Simple Wisdom For More Control, Focus, And Inspiration’, ‘I Met Jesus For A Miller Lite’ and ‘Back To Life, The Path of Resilience’. Danny also has a podcast called “Back to Life” that is available anywhere you listen to podcasts and is well worth subscribing. Danny and I spoke around the time of RUOK Day in Australia, a day that shines light on the suffering many people go through on a daily basis. Today’s conversation delves into some of the reasons we struggle to find happiness and satisfaction and why many of us despair and dwell when faced with challenges. Danny talks about his journey of coming back from the brink of a deep dark depression and how he developed a vision to be happy and hopeful again. I took so much out of my chat with Danny and believe everyone will walk away from this conversation with some extra tools on the toolbelt as we journey through life. Jordan Hall, founder of Pulpit and Pen, talks to Bob Enyart about The boy who came back from heaven, the fraudulent book heroically recanted by it's young co-author. Alex Malarkey, six years old at the time of his terrible automobile crash, was turned into a sensation by his father Kevin who wrote the best-selling, though fake, book. Jordan tells the story of the Southern Baptist Convention's Lifeway bookstore chain that promoted the overtly fictitious account as "a true story", and about Alex' open letter published at Hall's Pulpit and Pen website. The occasion of Bob and Jordan talking was Hall's Public Notice of Intent to Defy Supreme Court Ruling in Our Hiring Decisions in the Montana Daily Gazette. Other than brief mentions the guys never got around to discussing the U.S. Supreme Court's Bostock v. Clayton County opinion that no one is permitted to discriminate on the basis of homosexuality, transgenderism, etc. Denver Bible Church and Bob Enyart Live agree with Jordan's expressed defiance of the tyrannical immoral court.

In this episode, I talk to a good friend Mike Duffy, executive director of Limen House in Wilmington, Delaware about the power of self-development and the role it plays in substance abuse recovery. Mike had been in and out of treatment several times for substance abuse since his 20’s. After things finally clicked and he committed to remaining sober, Mike took a job at Limen House for men and women in various stages of recovery and is now their Executive Director. We spend some time talking about the struggles of addiction, but how it’s not impossible to overcome. You can change your thinking and beliefs, and when you’re open to retraining your brain to get away from the continual negativity that comes with addiction, you can finally open yourself to choosing a new path. My book, Back From Heaven’s Front Porch, 5 Steps to Create a Happy and Fulfilling Life recently played a role in helping some of the residents at Limen House with their own personal development in their journey to recovery, and Mike shares his perspective on how this book is helpful for anyone out there who is currently struggling. In this episode, you’ll learn about: Mike’s journey of addiction and how he lost everything The power of substance abuse treatment and the recovery process at Limen House How Back From Heaven’s Front Porch can help transform your mindset Ways you can retrain your brain toward a less addictive, more positive mindset How to use vision, faith, and stillness as keys to sobriety and forward momentum Links Mentioned in the Show: Limen House Danny's book, Back From Heaven’s Front Porch: 5 Principles to Create a Happy and Fulfilling Life Follow Danny Bader on YouTube
